...oooooouuuuch: 6.7kg baby!
Oh Lordy my girl cracks me up. She was sitting on my lap after her afternoon feed and started giggling... which made me laugh... which made her laugh... we were sitting there laughing at each other for ages. Hilarious!
Jules my hairdresser was appalled when she did my hair for the wedding 2 weeks ago. I had gorgeous pregnancy hair that was still pretty good late Jan... now... ack. Hang the wraps in the sunshine for as long as you can - sunshine seems to bleach anything out!
Ewwwww Kaz! That must have been whiffy :P
Oh EJ - have a wonderful girlie weekend! How lovely
Thanks MadB, think I'll take Millie back for another run at the ergo. Might try a different shop though as the woman in the one closest was not terribly helpful.
...Thanks for your support on the job offer! I'm leaning towards 'yes'... I guess the career girl is still there under a thick layer of Mummy
Off to peruse the atlas and start planning our trip to Germany in earnest! Take care all.
xox
...oooooouuuuch: 6.7kg baby!
far. out.
Thanks girls, glad I'm not the only one losing hair - MadB I'm soooo jealous!
Cathie - Look forward to some photos when you get the chance
Kaz - Thanks for the suggestion, I'm going to give that a go....he seems to be a bit better the last few days, I think it's more of a reflux issue...but definately have to change feeding styles as he's only going to get bigger!! Oooops on the dirty nappy! Not a nice homecoming surprise
EJ - I hope you're having a lovely weekend away!! Sounds like so much fun. That's awesome you finally got the hairdressers!!! It feels soooo good doesn't it?
MadB - They really keep us guessing don't they! He definately does look around a lot, I have to turn the tv off or he's always stopping to look up. Cheeky little boy! I can't believe it's still so hot over there....It's gotten cooler here with the rain and I have been having trouble dressing Jacob - he's such a hot baby but it's just so cool...
PP - Your giggling session sounded sooo cute! The latest photo of Amelia is ADORABLE!!!! Thanks for the tip - I'll try leaving them on the line longer! OH MY GOSH, what a HUGE baby!!!!!![]()
Things here are ok. I had a bit of a scare yesterday, I got really light headed and dizzy and had to hold the walls to get to my home phone, I was going to call mum and stay on the phone to her and give her shauns work number and ped no (something he carries underground) to get a message to him if something happened. I have never felt like that before. But of course she wasn't home and wasn't answering her mobile, I sat still for a while with Jacob asleep in the pram in front of me then decided it wasn't worth risking being home alone so I called DH's work and left a message, he called me back and decided he'd come home, he was really sweet....he cooked me dinner and brought Jacob into me through the night for his feeds to give me a rest. As you've probably read on my fb, I'm a bit homesick....I just miss my family support and having my friends around...I'll get over it.
Hope you're all doing well xoxo
Hope you're feeling better Jules. Glad your DH could come and be with you.
Guess what! We're expecting a 22 degree day next week with an 8-degree minimum!!!!
We had DS' 3rd b'day party today. Went well. Have loads of leftovers of course - was pretty good at minimising the sugar content though, so not too bad. (sodium overload instead) So we're swimming in toys - I've put half of them up in the closet and am considering 'regifting' them for him at christmas. What do you think? We still haven't given him our gifts and he has soooo much stuff. I don't think he can really appreciate it all. In fact I've half a mind to give some of it away to others. Maybe that's rude?
Miri was so happy all day and actually let other people hold her! Phew.
Her sleep is getting worse but I just can't be arsed trying any more. Give up. I'll sleep in a couple of years or so
Hope you all had a good weekend
MADB - Nothing rude about re gifting! I'm all for it. Someones trash is anothers treasure
As for the hair... Holy moly, mine is falling out EVERYWHERE. I recall it happening with DS1 too. My hair is so very thick to start with so I certainly don't mind, it's just that it's all over the house all the time I need to use to swivel sweeper everyday
I've come down with a nasty head cold/sore throat. I feel terrible. I think DS1 has it too but Eden seems fine, for now. He's sleeping really well. He's normally a great sleeper anyway but he's been even better. I'm waking him most of the times for his feeds. He's finally back to sleeping through the night, phew. His feeds are normally no more than 10mins now, which is what DS1 was like right from the start. I will have him weighed again tomorrow but i'm sure he's putting on weight ok so thankfully i'm not stressing
It was great to have MIL here last week. I had two days of training at work (which was awsome learning about Mortgage reduction & negative gearing) & Eden was an angel child for MIL & DH while I was away. Of course he had no problem returning to the breast either which is great.
It's been 5 weeks since my operation (appendix) so I'm almost fully recovered. I'm looking forward to getting my house back to it's usual clean condition
Not sure if I'm gonna take DS1 dancing today cause I do feel so awful. I'll see how I go....
JULES - I hope you're feeling better. As I mentioned above, Eden is only a 10min feeder now, and that's with me being a bit pushy. He's normally done in 5 or 6. I'm sure it's very normal for this age
PP - When's the germany trip? Do you have family there?
EJ - Sounds like we've all got a little bug hey. Hope you're feeling better. How was your girly weekend? Sounds like fun
Sorry, gotta run. WIll catch up with everyone else soon
Hey guys, this is Hannah's story if you want to check it out!
YouTube - Hannah's Gastroschisis Story
Not much has been going on really with Hannah. She's getting more talkative and LOVES standing up, she thinks it hilarious and just wants to do it all the time.
Her hair is starting to fall out :'-(
Only the top. The sides are as thick as normal.

crumpet xxx
wb Crumpet!!! gorgeous photo of Summah in your sig!
No good on the illness Georgi, but great on Eden's sleeping, I hope it continues for you.
MadB - yay on cool day for you! I hope this is the season turn for you and you get some relief. Sounds like Master 3 had a great day and was really spoilt!
Us - Will has changed his feeds (again) and is waking around 3amish for a feed for the past couple of days - although last night he fed at 11pm and slept through until 6am when he came into bed with me and snuggled and slurped for a couple of hoursAlthough I'm not a fan of when he does a stinky poo in our bed, it stinks out the sheets.
Have a great day all.
lol charlotte, does she have a baby mullet?
Hope you're back to 100% soon Georgi
I'd love to go to Germany. DH lived there for a year as an exchange student and is always alking about going back... one day...we do also have a friend who lives in switzerland now.
ewwww stinky poos in bed!
Hi Crumpet
thanks! i probably should update it, she was 5 weeks in that pic!
oh no, stinky sheets are so not on in this house!
hun!
im a bitSummah just managed to roll onto her side, her legs went over but she couldnt pull her arm out of the way!
pretty sure im not ready for her to mobile just yet, hopefully she keeps practicing for a bit longer before she can roll fully!
WOW Charlotte - thank you for sharing your little girl's story and pictures. I teared up, I have to say. You and your family are amazing.
Jules I'm glad you're feeling better and that DH could be with you. That must have been awful!
MadB, happy birthday to DS! And I think regifting is fair enough. Millie was given two of the same toy at Christmas... it's a great toy, so we're giving it to a friend who has had a bub. Good work on the sugar reduced party snacks! I know my favourite things at our b'day parties were scones with jam and cream and vege sticks with french onion dip (oooh la la... such sophisticated tastes!!) I can totally understand your DH's desire to go back to Germany. We're leaving for Germany 11 June, flying via Tokyowe'll be over there til 14 July, arriving back in Syd 16 July (via Singapore, happily!). DH has family there, we'll be staying for the first week in his Dad's home village in central Germany, then taking trips up to Hanover then down south, to Munich and into Austria, for a few days in Salzburg. We love Germany - DH has great childhood memories, and he proposed to me in front of the village church, in the snow on New Year's Day 2009
We honeymooned there too. It will be awesome to go back with Millie, in Summer this time too!!
Georgi I hope you're feeling better.
Hi Crumpet!
Kaz, gah... that seems to be Millie's speciality. She tends to go at breakfast time so if I feed her in bed... bleagh! I love having her in bed with us... she is so chirpy in the mornings and DH and I are zombies, so we pop her in between us and she scoots around, sort of spinning herself to face either one of us so we take it in turns to entertain her
We're doing fine. Had a big day Friday and Saturday, then yesterday was a bit offputting with the end of daylight savings, but she's basically going great guns. I think she's now the only baby in my mothers' group who hasn't started solids yet. Still completely disinterested, which suits me fine. I was talking to my sister about it, and the first 2 she started early and they both went through very fussy phases, whereas DD2 started late and now eats everything under the sun (dunno if that makes a difference?).
Had a fantastic time at swimming today!!! She did some back floating (supported) and went right under for the first time! She's totally worn out now, out for the count, heh heh. I'm cleaning up my craft room and starting a knitted pram blanket.
Take care everyone!
xox
hey
Hi Crumpet
PP - I'm so glad to read that you are having lots of fun with Millie, yeah the daylight savings thing is such a pain in the Butt.
Kaz - Hey how are you going?
MadB- Hi
Georgi _ Glad your feeling much better
Charlotte - Hi
Jules - I will put some photo's on soon
Well charlie Boy has been crying and crying and crying during the day he is sucking his hands and he makes so much noise when he is sucking his hands so he is teething YAY NOT.
Cathie![]()
MadB - Yay a cool day on it's way!!! I'm so excited for you!!! You won't know yourselfHappy Birthday to your DS!!! Hope he has had a lovely 3rd Birthday! What a lucky little boy with all his gifts!
Georgi - I hope you feel better soon, there seems to be a lot going around everywhere lately!! I'm starting to feel better now thankfully. Wow, that's fast.. is that feeding both sides?? I took proper notice of the time today and he fed on one side for five mins then wouldn't take it back so I offered the other side and he took it for three mins....
Charlotte - Thank you for sharing your story! I teared up watching...what a special little girl. She is just so precious and cute. What a clever little girl standing. Don't worry too much about her hair, Jacob lost his on top a while ago and has already started getting it back
Hey Crumpet! Welcome back. Lovely to have you around again. Glad to hear how well little Summah is going. I agree, that photo is gorgeous!! What a smartie pants trying to roll. Jacob did it for the first time I few days ago in his cot at 1.20am! I was so shocked. They are growing up too fast aren't they...
Kaz -on the stinky poos. Nothing like a change in the routine to keep us on our toes hey
PP - Thank you, I'm feeling a little better thankfully, it was terrible, I hated feeling like that and worrying about my little man. Your trip to germany sounds fabulous!! pfffffffft, that's all I can say about solids. No thanks!!!Glad you had a great time at swimming, hope Millie enjoyed her big snooze!
Cathie - Jacob is doing a lot of sucking on his hands and making noise also. Not much crying but a fair bit of whinging.... sounds like this teething business is going to be a whole lot of fun....errr, not quite. Hope Charlie boy feels a little better soon, it's so hard to see them upset.
AFU - I am so frustrated with day sleeps!!!!!!! I even went for an hour walk this afternoon and the cheeky little monkey didn't sleep - he was too busy watching the trees and me. I have tried so many things...nothing works. Tonight was tough, he screamed, he couldn't settle. I tried everything that normally works, even DH had a go. It took over an hour to get him to sleep. That hasn't happened in over a week.... I just hope things improve soon. I'll just keep doing what I can.
I better get to bed while I can. Hope you are all well xoxo
tanks everyone for the "welcome back"!!
havnt got much time to catch up have been out all day and Summah is hungryagain!
had mothers group today and we did baby massage, well summah decided that the being nude bit was great but she hated the massage bit, screamed blue murder, so i dont think we will be bothering with that again!....
catch up with everyone tonight or tomorrow!![]()
You and me both Jules.DD is rapidly becoming a carbon copy of her non-sleepign brother. I'm sitting here next to the hammock so I can keep bouncing her back o sleep every ime she wakes...
teeth! bah! boo to teeth.
crumpet, some kids just hate it. but sometimes thye hate it the first time then come to love it. I give DD one every night. not her arms though, she hates having her arms massaged. Doesn't mind it on her face though. I only do her back if she's had a really good day or else she spits it.
We're back from our weekend away girls but i have one sick little girlBreaks my heart to see her so out of sorts. It's gastro which makes me very nervous. Between Aidan's little episode the other week and spending time with family who had it early last week i'm not certain where she's gotten it but everyone else is ok. Touch wood!! So far no feeds have been kept down today and she's sleeping a lot, i'm having her sleep in her high chair (it reclines) so i can keep an eye on her. She's been awake less than half an hour and is now asleep on my lap. The poor baby must feel terrible. She has been to the doctors today so i know what to look out for but still i'm constantly checking her, my nephew got severly dehydrated with gastro which unfortunatley led to other complications for him and i know it's very different but i still get so scared about vomiting.
So on her 4th month Birthday she is sickI hope it doesn't last long for her and that she'll start keeping feeds down soon.
Will catch up with you all soon. Hope everyone is well xo
aw no! poor little mite. Hope she's good as new soon.
