Hello Ladies,
Well you have been al very busy since I have last been here.
I have just started back at work and will be working for the next 3 weeks. I am feeling really good about work, as I know it is only going to take me away from Jett for 3 weeks and not on a full time basis.
I am working for the ANZ bank doing an upgrade of credit cards, it sounds really great and it will get me some extra $$. With Jett’s party and Christmas it will come in really handy.
Jett seems to be going really great on cow’s milk. We are now doing 120ml of formula and the rest milk. Then the next step will be straight cow’s milk. I am wrapped I don’t have to make up any more bottles. Yeah!!!
I walked into the city last Sunday and had Jett’s photo taken with Santa. My brother is scanning it onto a disc for me to post it on his web page. It is so cute he was doing the biggest smile in it.
Gosh I will be banging on about this for the next 3 weeks or till it happens but my best buddy is due on the 11th of December. I remember what it was like and I am feeling for her. Not knowing what day this bubba is going to come and greet the world. We have gone through her birth plan again just to confirm things, gosh I am excited!!!
Tiggy – I hope all went well with Ivy.
Renee – I love the name Clancy, but for a girl. I but the party was so fun.
Wow, I read that post about the parents and I was disgusted. To think that they are also teachers make me even more angry.
Meg – You know I think Coco is just divine but in that outfit, oh bless her!!! I have no idea what Jett is going to wear to his party. More to the point what am I going to wear to Jett’s party?
I know what you mean about the bub’s growing quick. Jett is booked in for his 2nd haircut.
Beck –Hope you are having a nice stay with your Dad.
Nah, Jett always eats like a little piggy. I weighed him the other week and he was smack bang on 11kg. He is not underweight and in need of food at any measure. As for the sleeping thing he has 2 per day and they are about 1 and a half normally.
I am finding it hard to get him to sleep on the really hot nights.
Sarajo – Jett is way behind the 8 ball. He has only just got his top 2. It is so cute when he smiles and these white little squares pop out.
To cute Abby doing all of that stuff. I have just checked out your blog page, WOW!!!!!! Abby’s photo’s, Too Cute.
Happy thanksgiving!!!!
Sammy – Are you ever coming back????
Missy – I am glad that giving him that night feed has help with his sleeping. I give Jett a bottle every night, I can’t see that stopping at all in the near future. My SIL who is 11 was having 6 bottles of milk a day at this age and she is fine. Her hair and nails grow super fast not sure if that is to do with the amount of dairy still floating around in her body from when she was a baby or not??? I doubt it is, but she is fine and I don’t see any problem with how she was brought up.
About the resize. You need to open the photo in Paint and resize it and save as Jpeg. I am not fully computer smart but that is how I do mine. If you email me the photo I can shrink it for you and email it back.
I too love the pics of Callum under the sprinkler, very cute!!!! We can’t even water plants down here in Victoria, Not sure what the rest of the States are like.
Gotta go to sleep can hardly keep my eyes open, long day for me.
Night all:hello:
Hi there December mums!!
Good to hear you are all going well. I haven't had a chance to have a good read of all the posts - there just isn't that many hours in a day.
Drew and I are doing really well. He has 4 whole teeth, 1 1/2 one, and 2 that have just spiked through. He is crawling like a maniac and is furniture crusing. He is trying to step off but is lacking confidence at the moment. He is starting to say Mumma, Dadda, Bubba and our fav - Burra, as in Kookaburra - strange I know. We have a lot around our house and everytime they laugh we stop and listen, and then I imitate them which of course cracks him up.
We started swimming lessons this week too, and so far so good. With the size of his feet you never know right?? Although Michael would be devestated, I think he is counting on Drew to be a Wallaby. As long as he doesn't play cricket (sorry cricket lovers).
Well it has been great just calling in to say hi. Meg I will try to call you on Friday for Miss Coco's birthday - I just can't believe it. It seems like just yesterday we got your text message, lol. I can't belive I am going to be the mother of a 1 year old.
Miss you all heaps!!
xx Leanne & Drew
YEY Leanne!!! So great to hear from you. Im sorry I've been such a slack friend. Tim and I keep saying, that once we move (hopefully mid Dec or early Jan) we will get our acts together. And by the way, we are converting the garage to a big guest room, so you will all have to come and stay (maybe not at the same time though) but seriously, you' re absoutely welcome, Im hanging to have my own place just so I can have constant visitors!!!!
Anyway, back on track, Leanne, so good to hear all is well. I can't believe its' been a year, that really is a huge spin out. Remember I was due on the 9th but was DETERMINED to have coco early!! (partly just wanted to make sure it was a coco!!!)
It's so exciting, it means we've been chatting for almost 2 years (well, past 18 months anyway). And the new girls, we will be chatting for at least that to come, so we'll all be old friends!!
Ok, think i've crapped on enough!!
Do you know that I am thinking daily "should I have another one, or shouldn't I". Now I say this just weeks after we've bought a house that is too small for three kids!!!!!!!! Anyway, I will just have to think about it for a while longer. We are going to vanuatu in May for a wedding and I will not go pregnant (want to make the most of the one hol we're going on in the next 10 years)!!!!
hope you're all doing well, and Missy I forgot to say how happy I am that all is well with CAllum. Was really relieved to read your post.
lots of love to all xoxoox
Hi all
Well its 5.10am and thought I would jump on and let you know how things have been going. Callum has been eating well and having 3 bottles a day. He sleeps for about 1 1/2 - 2 hours during the day ( 2 day sleeps) and has been sleeping through. But he woke up at 3.30am crying, I tried to settle him and offer him water but NO, he wanted a bottle. So at 4.15 I gave him a bottle. I didnt give it to him in bed I sat in the rocking chair in his room and gave it to him. Then off to sleep he went. But mummy couldnt go back to sleep so this is why im writing this so early. LOL.
Callum is getting his 3rd tooth on the bottom and I think that is why he has been so wingy. He seems to be getting better now that its through.
We went to the pools on Saturday and he swam in the baby pool. He loved it so much. He ate everything in site and evern had a 1hr sleep down there. Then of cause back in the pool he wanted to go. 3 swims he had.
Danielle Im so glad I decided to keep giving Callum bottles as it broke my heart not to. I will see how I go with the Jpeg and if I Cant do It I will send it to you. Thanks for that. Cant wait to see the Santa's Photo. Callum and Melissa are getting theirs done next weekend. This will be Melissa's last photo with him as she is almost 13. She is just doing it for me as I wanted one with her brother.
Leanne Im going to start Callum in swimming lessons again in Jan. He use to go but he hated it. They use to put him under the water straight away and he cried so much. I ended up pulling him out as it was affecting him having baths as he got scared of the water. Im taking him some where else and they dont put them under untill he is ready and also me. So that is good.
Meg Thanks so much. Im so glad everything is ok too. I just have to keep an eye on him and just make sure his head is growing and doesnt become out of shape. If that happens he will have to have another x-ray. Im sure it will be ok.
Ok all will go now as ive got to have another coffee..
Sarajo How did thanks giving go???
Well bye for now :)
Tiff
How did you get on with the eye doc. Hope all was ok...:)
Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone has gone on to normal milk? I am thinking of getting coco some goats milk, andwill water it down first, but just interested what others are doing. I think I'll give her a morning and night bottle, and then just water during the day. Do you think that is enough?
hope everyone is well xox
Well I've got a light-weight baby apparently. Maddy is 'only' 8.435kg which is the 25th percentile. I'm not worried and neither is the MCHN even if she is little/petite (which I just don't see because I'm had people tell me she is 'chubby or well covered) because Maddy is so far ahead of her milestones other than weight. She eats well and has advanced motor skills & language apparently; oh and the mchn is also impressed that we're still breastfeeding at this point. She wants me to beef her up a bit on the healthy fats like avocado & also to introduce either oats with her toast for breakfast, or some weetbix.
How're you all going? Sorry I've been so lax in my personals, haven't really had much spare time since we got back from Dads. DH was home today with the start of the flu Maddy & I have had for a few days. Parents in Law get back on Thursday afternoon. :)
Hi Becka
Good to hear. Ive learnt not to take much notice of what the Nurses say anymore. I was told Callum was underweight ( 8.5 some thing KG) and he isnt 910 months yet but He has put on and thats all im worried about. I have increased his foods and he seems to be eating them and I was also told to put him on weetbix and he loves them. He has 1 1/2 everyday. Going to try him on some poridge tomorrow that will be fun. He is doing everything he is meant to but my nurse is abit of a b*tch so Im not letting anything bother me unless I need to be. Im sure your bundle of joy is fine. Good luck and let me know how she goes with the weetbix. I also add alittle pears in it to give it some taste. Good luck.
Meg
Nurse told me a couple of months ago that you should give milk at about 12 months and water it a little. But she also told me to add a little to his cerial so I give a dash. Coco would be fine to have milk now. Id try her alittle and see how she goes.
Good luck.
Well had good day today, went shopping and had santa photos for Callum, but have to go back as I want Melissa and Callum together. Ill post soon . Will let you all know. How you all been???? Bit quiet today. For all ppl in syd west its going to be 40o tomorrow...a hot one.
Well take care
Bec,
Ivy is only on the 10th centile for her weight. I think Maddy looks gorgeous and perfect!
Yay that she is well advanced!
Only three more sleeps until Ivy and Noah turn one.
Our appointment to the eye specialist went well. Ivy is short sighted and will need glasses but he is happy to put it off for a little while.
Noah on the other hand is long sighted and will probably need glasses just before school.
Noah and Ivy had physio today and that went really well too. Ivy is cruising the furniture and has alot of bumps for her trouble. She is a bit floppy in her tone, so she has to wear this little figure eight band around her legs to hold her in the right position.Noah is content just to commando crawl around. He is pretty stiff in his back so we have excercises to try and loosen him up. He did really well today though and the physio was pleased.
Ivy is sick again. Started last night and today she is throwing off high temps and is very lack lustre. Nothing has presented itself yet but I am thinking it's her ears again. I guess time will tell.
So, that's us!
Thanks Missy & Tiff! :) I'm truly not worried because nobody knows Maddy like I do...she's just fine and eats like a horse. She's so active, so I just think she has a fast little metabolism and probably works off everything she eats.
Tiff {{{{{{HUGE hugs}}}}}} to you & the family. The twins have had such a difficult time of it, but your beautiful optimistic outlook is so inspiring. I finally got a chance to look at the photos and you have two little stunners on your hands. :) Hope little Ivy starts feeling better soon.
Missy, thanks for the advice about the weet-bix and food. :) I might just try Maddy on some weet-bix tomorrow and see how she goes...I like your suggestion of adding some fruit to sweeten it. Maddy loves her jars of the Organics 'Creamy oats with fig & sultana' so much that I went out and bought the packet so I could make it up each morning. She doesn't like the lumpiness of it, but best of luck with Callum on the oats/porridge tomorrow! *LOL*
How are all of you other lovely ladies & your bubbas going?
Hello Ladies,
Sorry I haven't been on much. Been feeling a little drained and had family stuff to do.
Had my brothers 30th party on the weekend. Logan loved it, but would not sleep the entire time we were there, I think he must have thought he was going to miss out on something. He got on well with all the children that were there, they had a play in a little pool (with a tiny bit of water) and he loved all the kids splashing water on him. But he got so upset when I took him out, kept trying to crawl back and crying when I wouldn't let him. I think I have a water baby on my hands  . He gave most of the people big sloppy kisses and didn't get upset by the men either, like he had previously, he adored one of my brothers friends and even gave him a kiss good bye LOL..
I have been giving Logan some cows milk watered down, he will drink it but I have to hold his sippy cup for him or he tries to pour it in his hair. Logan hasn't been too interested in solids still. He will try most things, but will eat more at daycare and doesn't seem that keen when I try to feed him at home. Maybe because he knows he can still breastfeed at home? :dunno:
Sorry no personals at the moment. Slack, I know! :p
I hope you're all well. Take care
Mel, great to hear from you and good to hear Logan is doing well!!
Beck, Coco is prob almost the same weight as MAddy. Tilly was the same. Tilly is still the same and just has a speedy metabolism. Coco eats everythignand the only big part on her is her tummy!!! Very cute!!
Anwyay, gotta get moving, time for the daily routine to start. My back is soooo sore that Im going to start back at the chiro regularly. Just don't think I can cope with starting to work (waitressing at mums cafe once a week) with a sore back.
HOpe everyone is doing well. Tiggy, I hope Ivy gets well soon, the poor chooken. (My nephew is 3 and call's chickens chookens...very cute). Very exciting about the bday!! We are on 3 days now too!!!! Bring on friday, can't believe my baby will be one. Where did the time go??????????
have a good day everyone. Did someone say 40 degrees????????? PLEASE no!!! xoxoxo
Hi all, well I didnt get a chance to give Callum poridge today as I forgot about it, LOL so he had 1 1/2 weetbix, 1/2 toast and a slice of cheese. Little Piggy :D So will try tomorrow. He slept through last night and didnt get up till 7:30 so I was very happy. He also had all his Bottle 180 mls and had some play time and has just gone back to bed. He is being such a good boy although He is going through that stage where everything is mummy. Have to be close to him or he starts crying. Its cute I guess.LOL.
Tiff You seem to be very good with your children and stronge. That is so nice to see. If having glasses is the worst that happens to your kids then Id be happy with that. I said the same Thing about Melissa when she had to have glasses but then she had to have the op on her eye, Toncels out dont know how you spell it and the apendic's out as well. All in the space of 5 years. Alot for a 5 year old to have. Im so sorry Ivy is sick I hope she is well soon hun!!!:)
Bec Your welcome about the weetbix. Im sure she will love it. Callum isnt really into the lumps as well. But we get there. All the best and let me know.
Melinda My Son Callum is the same with the pool. I took him to the pools on Sat and he loved it so much we were there all day. Very cute.
MegCoco look like she is very well with the weight. Just look at those checks. Georgous!!!! Sorry to hear you have a sore back. Hope you feel better soon!!!
Ive just Put Callums Christmas Photo up on my photo sight if you would like to see. I love it.
Well all have a great day, keep cool as its going to be 40 degree in Syd West!!!!
Hooorooo xx
Wow Missy - I think you must win this months most post award. It's great to read about your son and daughter.
Meg - Marnie has been drinking straight cow's milk for around a month now. I've never heard of watering down the milk before?:)
phone is ringing i'll be back later!
Oh MIssy, so cute the photo of Callum with santa! Im thinking i might get one with coco. I think I have one of tilly at one year old, so will do the same with coco.
Poor bubba has the runs. She's stinking out the house so better go and change her.
hope you all have a good day. It's stinking hot, and Im not looking forward to leaving the house!! (Im actually going for a bikini wax later!!) now that I take tilly to nippers every sunday I need to wear a cozzie.....scary stuff!!! xoxoox
Renee
I know.. I just love Posting about the family and talking to you all. Alot of my friends have kids but older so it nice to chat to you all.
Meg
I love photos of the kids. Yes do get some done so I can have a peek. Poor little pet I hope she feels better soon. Good luck. Im not going out today thank God. Way to hot!!!
Talk soon.
Right... finally have Marnie to sleep and can try to post a decent message.
As I said before Meg - Marnie has been on cow's milk for around a month. I didn't have any trouble at all - but she had had it on her Weet Bix from around 7 months. My CHN had never said to water it down and I also read about it in Baby Love and Robin Baker didn't recommend it either. Having said that I don't know about goat's milk so it might be different. Good luck!
Has any other mum got a baby that loves to "KISS"with their teeth? My shoulders, belly and back are red raw from Marnie gnawing at me with her teeth! I try to stop her but it's usually too late.I put her down after the "KISS"and say no Marnie but next time I am holding her or lying down with her she's back at it. She's very affectionate with other babies and I am afraid she might do this with them. ANy suggestions are most welcome!
I have my netball grand final tonight - I am so nervous but more worried about how hot it will be. It's around 45 degrees here today (gotta love the bush!) I went out for lunch with my pregnant girlfriend and I can only imagine how hot she is feeling.
I can't remember any of your posts (I thought baby brain went away) so I would like to say hello to everyone and hope your week is going well.
Have a great week!
I LOVE all the new pics you all have up! Sooo cute!! I took some pics of Abby for Christmas this Sunday! I'll put a link at the bottom of this post!
Well, I tried putting some cows milk in with the breastmilk (like 90% breasmilk and 10% cows milk) and Abby threw up more than I have ever seen! This is the second time I tried it and the second time I got the same conclusion...vomit. So I think it will be soy milk for Abby-girl. My baby and her sensitive stomache! Oh well! HEr top teeth are in enough for me to feel 2 of them so I hope the others break through soon! She was up evey hour last night! YAWN! I have been feeding her lots of yogurt and cheese (which she is fine with btw) to try to bulk her up a bit. She really doesnt look like a lightweight, but she weighs less than Maddy, so she must be in the 20% ? or so I guess. I think you are smart to not weigh Coco so much Meg. Less worrying and everything! I'll have to do personals later or maybe tomorrow. I have been sick with a cold and so busy with my cling baby. Her birthday party is Sunday and my cousin is visiting from Ohio Friday so I have to clean yet! Busy busy busy!
Here's pics of Abby's Christmas photos! Christmas Abby!
Just a quick post as im off to mum's house again. Just wanted to say to Sarajo, WOW, I love the Christmas Photo's. They are soooooooooooooooo cute!!!! She is lovely and I think Your a very lucky lady to have such a beautiful daughter.
Well all have a great day!!!
See ya
