Well, Where to start.
Monday DH had the day off so I asked him if he would take Callum to get his yearly shots. :eek: Im so glad he did cause when DH told me how much the little man cried, It would have made me a mess. :crying: He was abit out of it that day and sore but the next he seemed ok. Today he woke up with temp and crying as soon as I got him up. I gave him some breakfast and then bottle and some panadol and put him back to bed at about 1 1/2 after he got up. He slept for a little over 3 hrs.
I took him to see the pde today about his head and the dr was so good. Really checked him out. He said he isnt to worried about his head as its still is growing (evern though its slow ). He told me my head was average and said I bet your DH head isnt that big either. I told him no its not a big head. He was very good and said its still on par with the chart and with the rest of his body. So that was ok.
Then he told me, (which I knew he was going to say, as he was really checking it out), that Callum had a Heart Murmur. I almost fell of my seat. He went on to say its a loud one and it needed to be checked out. :frown: So off to WestMead childrens hospital on the 29th March. Thats the earliest I could get in. So once again Im finding myself having to worry for a while again. Im also finding that when we got home I was watching his breathing and as normal making myself think that he wasnt breathing the same. Geeee Im hopeless.
Well that is were we are at at them moment. Also very busy as we are trying to get the back yard all done ( 2 water features, lawn, etc ) before Callums pary on the 4th. I have a party tomorrow to go to and one on Sunday. So we really only have Sat and next sat to finish it all. Im getting abit worried at we have had problems with the water features and Im hopeing they will be ready.
I cant believe Callum is 1 on Tuesday. wow that has gone fast. I just cant wait to start trying the IVF in March, Well as long as eveything is ok with Callum that is. I would really love another child for him to play with. DD grew up on her own and I dont really want him to. Would love to give him a brother or sister to play with.

Just wanted to let you all know that I got the job at Safeway/Woolworths. Yeah for me!!!
I start on the 3rd of Feb as a Casual, I am wrapped.
At least I will be getting some value for money by having jett in daycare on thursday's cause at the moment I am just at home while he is there. I don't want to lose his spot that is why I have left him in there while I wasn't working.
Way to go Dani! What will you be doing? How many hours? Will this be better than Telstra? (i am tipping it will be!) Well done.
I had to go last night - don't worry about the smokes - i was having the occasional one once i stopped breastfeeding Marnie and then found out i was pregnant and now (of course) i'm not smoking any more. :biggrin:

I'm pregnant - and the little one needs it (i know not true - don't care!;) )

Hope you are all having a great AUSTRALIA DAY, what ever you may be doing. We are not doing anything special here; we are going to the fireworks show tomorrow night.
I have woken up this morning with the cold that seems to be doing the rounds. I think jet may have it as well, lets hope it doesn’t last long.
Last night I went out with my old work mates from Telstra we are all very close still. Due to the cash flow issue in this house my friend Leanne shouted me. I don’t think I have ever eaten so much food. When we get together we stuff our faces some much. We talked for 2 hours no stop, just gossiping and catching up.
After we had dinner we went to see A Night at the Museum with Ben Stiller, it was so funny!!!
Thanks Ladies, I am so happy about starting work. Now I have to go and get a white shirt, as I don’t have one at all.
Jett is addicted to the Wiggles, if I put it on he is glued to the TV, hence the large post. He can normally have TV time 3 times a day, dose anyone thinks this is too much?
Missy – I am feeling for you. Jett had a slight heart murmer when we had our last check up at the pead. She said that most babies do have them so hopefully that will just be the case for Callum. It is only natural to worry; my friend said the other day that becoming am mother you become a worry wort. I would be the same.

Sarajo – Hi Girls, I was wondering where you had got too. I hope that all goes well at the dentist specialist. Let’s hope that you don’t need surgery. Jett loves the tomato sauce I can’t work it out. At the moment he loves the little ****tail frankfurts (Little Boys), it is so cute he dips his sausages in the sauce.:lol:
Renee – Wow, I can’t bake to save myself. Even if I wanted to my oven is stuffed, I contacted the real estate about it as it just smokes every time we use it, and it is electric.
Oh Dubbo, isn’t that where Trevor from Big Brother was from?? Oh I am glad that I am not the only fagger in here. I stopped to when I was pregnant with Jett, I did everything by the book, well almost! I did heavy lifting I had no idea that you weren’t suppose to move pots full of palms.
Well I am off to make more cards, I am hooked on it at the moment. It will only last for another week then I will be starting work, Yeah!!!!

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY to everyone (including Sarajo!!)
Have to be quick, about to go and get on the xtrainer and do some exercise (desperate to lose weight incase i'm pregnant, cos after 3 months i wont be able to) and DH is home to watch the baby cos he keeps trying to get on while i'm on it (and isn't happy to sit downstairs playing by himself for 20 mins) - so i can normally only use it when he is asleep, and then i have other stuff to do!
Anyway, just wanted to share our great news - DH GOT HIS PROMOTION YESTERDAY!!!
Don't know if i told you the boss that is like 3 levels above him was being an a***hole about it - we wanted to submit it 4 months ago, and he said he had too much unplanned leave with taking time off from his dad dying, the baby being born and sick days. So we had to wait until Jan 1st to submit it, and then it still took him until yesterday to aprove it (and the way it works is the 2 bosses each one level above what DH was applying for have to sign it off saying he is working at a particular level, and comments etc, and this guy only had to sign his name on it). I was so angry cos 4 months of a higher pay (3k at the moment, will go up another 2k in July) would have really helped us out..
But we finally have it, so that is good... Anyway, and now DH can take sick days when he is sick without stressing. Part of the 4 months deal was that DH couldn't take sick days to get his unplanned leave levels down (apparently thats the focus of mangement atm... they have a list of the top 500 leave takers, and DH was at like 280).
Like he wanted to go to work on Monday with a temp of 39.8 and a foot the size of a balloon, but i put my foot down and said no way - go to the dr, (who put him on penicillin), and we new this idiot had to aprove it by thursday (they have 28 days to do it, and the guy was going on hols for 5 weeks from today, so he had to do it yesterday) and i said just don't put the sick leave into the comp until thursday afternoon and then he will never know - but seriously - its ridiculous that he was really sick and a few times had to go to work like that.
What is even more ridiculous is that the guy was so unreasonable about the circumstances of this year, even though his 2 bosses above him (they have a team of like 10 people, most are level 3s, he was applying for a level 4 (there are 2 other 4s in his team), a coach is level 5 (his boss) and a team maneger is level 6 (also his boss). Anyway the level 5 & 6 both couched for him but that wasn't enough.. i mean what more did this guy want - his dad died for crying out loud!
Sorry vent over... but we had it, and the bet news is he gets backpaid at the higher level from the day he sumbitted his leave..
So we went out to dinner last night (steak..yum!) to celebrate and blow the pay rise!!!
Anyway, gtg, need to exercise, and i will hopefully be on later!
Renee - I hope that those little boys wern't from your area, I just saw it on the news. So very sad...
No - we don't live in Dubbo - we live west of it by three hours.It's just devastating and has been on the radio and news all day. The poor family - they haven't released any information about the family.

Yael yay for DH's promotion! Sounds like it was overdue! Its terrible how some hard working people are treated sometimes!! Good on you for getting fit for your upcoming pregnancy! I need to do the same! I want to be super-fit by August. I have a friend coming over starting Monday to do dance dance revolution with me (on PS2). It is an awesome workout and soooo much fun!
Dani sounds like you had fun last night! Sorry about the cold! I hope you get better quick like bunny! (thats what my MIL always says!) Funny about the Wiggles...my nephew loves them too! I havent watched whtm with Abby yet, although Im sure she will love them as every time I sing now she sings along with me. We both cant carry a tune so it is particularily funny!
Well, Abby was not sick last week, and her runny nose and rash and fever are all accounted for! She has a molar through :eek: ! I couldnt believe it! She was laughing very hard and I saw it clear as day! I didnt even think she could be teething again already! One is through and the other is coming through! Poor chicken~but at least she has been sleeping through night despite the pain this time!
Well, Im off to see if I need surgery in about 3 hours here, and I am quite nervous. I just have a feeling I will need it since the tooth is still bothering me. :(

Boys died in car boot 'because of heat'
Sweltering conditions probably led to the deaths of two young brothers who somehow locked themselves in the boot of a broken-down car at their family home in Dubbo, police say.
Brothers four-year-old Damien Hall and three-year-old Liam were found unconscious in the boot of the car at about 8pm (AEDT) on Thursday after family members and neighbours had launched a desperate search.
They were taken to hospital but could not be revived.
Very Very sad!!

Well pretty quite in here at the moment.
The Leith household is full up with the flu, well Jett and I are but it won’t take long for it to travel to Ben. He has this weird idea that he won’t get sick.
We were going to watch the local fireworks display that they have on every year on the 27th of January but Jett is way to unwell. So Ben has gone by himself, I don’t mind gives me a chance to post!! He he he!!
We have just finished watching that Dvd, Talladega Nights with Will Ferrell it was so funny!!!
Christie – Check out the new site it is great. Does Owen like the Zebra??? I was going to get Jett one but I didn’t know if he would like it. He is such a cute little man now. You look great too, have seen you in some of the shots.

To all those lovely ladies who commented on the scrapping pages, thanks. I felt really proud of my efforts! Big hugs for making my day.
Sarajo, you asked me about Ivy's vomiting? She is on 20mg of Losec now and seems to be doing ok. Like you, she has good and bad days. She has a really bland diet too as she is allergic to alot of stuff, not anaphalactic allergic but upset tummy, eczema generally miserable allergic.
You also asked if I had ever considered doing photography as a profession? YES. I would love to do that but I don't feel confident in my skills. I love playing around with the computer programmes to alter photos too. I like taking close up portraits. My BIL is a professional photographer and he takes the most beautiful photos. He took some on the weekend, I will upload them soon onto the babies' site and you can have a look. I'd LOVE to be able to do photography like that. I am slowly learning.
As for us, I am starting back to work on Wednesday. After freaking out with my shift arrangement and getting ready to resign, it was all sorted out very quickly and my days were changed. So, the kids all go back to school on the Tuesday(Yay! The crowd goes wild) and I go back to work on the Wednesday. Dave has taken the day off, so I don't have to stress about the babies. Then I am on night duty. I figure I might as well get payed for staying up all night. Ivy can only pay me in slobbery kisses for my trouble at home and that won't pay for groceries, sadly.
Ivy and Noah have both been sick with colds and Ivy has a middle ear infection and Noah is still struggling with asthma. They have been clingy and grizzly for the last four days. Not too sick that they want to sleep alot but sick enough to not want to do anything else but cry and cling. We phoned the paed who consulted over the phone (gotta love that - NOT) and faxed us scripts for antibiotics and prednisone. They were a little better today but still really full on.
They are both up and cruising the furniture with no sign of standing alone or walking yet. Noah has finally decided he can clap his own hands instead of grabbing mine or his sisters' and clapping ours for us.
Ivy has discovered that she can escape the baracades to hold her in the loungeroom so I am constantly wandering around trying to Ivy proof the house. Much easier when there are no big kids leaving little pieces lying around.

Abby took a step tonight!! TWICE! and after the step she just stands there and looks around at everyone staring lol! I think I'lll have a walker by the end of the week, if not by tomorrow! :biggrin: Its funny how her and Maddy seem to do every first at the same time!

Well, we've been flat chat here trying to get everything ready for Zipper's arrival..Am starting to get a little panicked now, but it will all be fine..
glad to hear everyone is well(except Sarajo..nasty tooth!!) and happy belated birthday to the gorgeous DS!! WOW on Abby and Maddy walking!!!Thats so cool!!no more dirty knees!!YAY!! Also, Tiggy, i meant to say how much i loved your scrapbooking!!my sis gave me a whole kit of scrapbooking stuff for xmas with an album, cutters, paper and all, and i just have no idea where to start..let alone time to do it, although if you can with 7 kids i think perhaps i should get my act together!!!
Well, Owen is now sleeping in his 'big boy bed'(toddler bed)..we moved most of his toys up to his room and he's been waking up and getting so cranky straight away(he normally talks to himself for at least 1/2 hr happily in his cot)and i thought maybe it was because he could see his toys but not get to them, so i tried him in his little bed yest arvo, he was fine so put him in there again last night and everything was fine(well he woke once in the night crying and when i went to his room he was sitting in the middle of his bedroom floor crying and very disorientated-but put him back in and he went straight back to sleep)..and he even slept in this morn!!so really stoked with him.
I'm just waiting for my mum to arrive from down the coast..she was sposed to be coming up this morn to spend time together and also help set up the nursery, but she decided to bring my youngest sis(17), pick up the other sis(21) on the way, as well as one of my aunties, then drop in to another aunt and uncles place on the way(none of the 'on the ways' are actually on the way)and will still be an hr or so..and although she said they won't have to rush back i know they'll have to leave about 5ish to get back and feed the horses etc(since she bought the youngest sis who thinks the horses who are in a fully grassed paddock with a running creek may starve to death)..so am a little disappointed as i was really looking forward to spending some one on one time with my mum before bub arrives..ah well, thems the breaks huh..i'll stop whinging!!

Christie, Owen is such a big boy sleeping in a toddler bed, I don't know that Logan could do it if he had to atm. He can't seem to figure out how to get off my bed and forgets to climb down, tries to crawl off head first. That is too bad that you won't get to spend as much time with your mother as you hoped, but it must still be nice to have her come and visit, I hope you have a lovely afternoon with your family.
Dani, I am sorry I didn't say it sooner but congratulations on the job! I have put up some more photos of Logan on his site, I am sadly addicted to letting photographers take his photo, but I have decided no more for a long time, I need to resist.. Plus I need to remember to take more photos of him, just hard to remember when my camera is broken and I have to keep borrowing mums.

Tiff, Thank you, I am very proud of him, sometimes I worry too much about him being "behind" some times (even though I am told he isn't really) and feel like it's a reflection of my parenting.. I over think everything LOL.
I have just been worried about SIL, she is pregnant with their second child, well 3rd, since their first was still born. Jake was diagnosed with IUGR (I think, though at the time they just said they didn't know what was wrong and had to be born 2 months early since he stopped growing, but they think that is what also happened with the 1st baby). So now she is high risk, and needs to be induced a month early. I think she is only 16 weeks along, but she had a terrible pain in her side and across the front of her belly on the weekend. she went to the hospital, but they hardly even checked her out (didn't put a monitor or doppler or anything on her stomach) and just told her to go home and rest. I think she felt like they were just dismissing her fears as just being a worried mother? I don't even know where I am going with this, I guess I just needed to get that out. I don't know how they'd cope if anything bad happened. I haven't heard anything since saturday so I am hoping the pain went away and maybe the baby was just pressing on a nerve or something.
But on an upside I registered for my courses today, and am trying to put a lot of my focus in to preparing for Uni so I don't let myself get too depressed.

Hello all you lovely ladies. Well so much has been happening here. Trying to get the back yard all done before Callum's party on Sunday. Finally finished the pool water feature and it looks lovely. Just have to wait till thursday to put the water in it. I will take a photo when its done and let you all see how great it looks.
I also want to say thankyou all for your support and kind word for Me, Callum and family. Im going to ring to ask if I can get in earlier for Callum or if they have a cancellation can they ring me.
Well Its Callum's first Birthday today and I cant believe this time last year I was just about to be induced. He isnt 1 till 2:33pm but I have sung him Happy Birthday about 10 times now. LOL. He has no idea what is going on but he loves me singing the song. He has a huge smile on his face when I sing it. We will open Pressies then DH gets home. Im going to buy a little cake for him to have tonight and make him spagetti as he loves it. WOW, 1, Its so weird saying he is one. I dont know weather to cry or Laugh. Im happy he is 1 but he looks like a little man now and not a baby. I guess he has to grow up but I just dont want him to.
Well my DD is 13 on the 12th so for her pressent Im sending her and DH to the gold coast for 4 days to go the the theme parks and she doesnt know. She has always wanted to go there and finally she is going. Im not going to tell her just driving her to the airport and saying have a good time. She has never been on a plane as well so that will be exciting too. I cant wait to see the look on her face.WOOOOHOOO.

Sorry, no time for personals, doing an extra day at work to try and make some $$ and already running like 2 hours late (how do ppl work and keep the house in order??? I had to try and fit all my jobs into this morning and my boy is playing in his cot - grrrrrr!!!)

Morning all, I hope that you are all going great.
OMG, Jett isn’t walking but he is climbing on everything and I mean everything. I walked into his room to find him climbing up his change table. I got him off to then find him climbing up into his cot. He finds it so funny but I don’t. He is very confident and loves to take risks, which is not a great thing. Ben, Jett and I were eating dinner the other night when all of a sudden I was hit in the head by a corncob. This is funny but it isn’t, Ben and I tried not to laugh but it got the better of us and by the end we were both crying with laughter. Oh this little boy is going to be cheeky, I am going to have full hands that is for sure.
Is anyone else finding that size 1 clothes are getting a little small? I brought Jett some winter clothes the other day and had to take them back as they were too small. What is with that??

I hope that you have the best day ever; it is so hard to believe that 1-year passes so quickly. I never thought that I could have so much fun and love fitted into 1 year.
I would be calling and asking for an appointment on a cancellation, that is what we did when we registered at Tweedle sleep school. I was on a massive waiting list and I was going bald tearing my hair out.

I what a great present, Melissa is going to love it!! You need to take a camera and get a shot of her face after you tell her where she is going.

Sarajo - How high did Abby's temp go when she was teething?
Milo is cutting 4 canine and 4 molars ATM, which will bring his total teeth up to 16. He is having a real time of it lately. Last night his temperature was 38.8 (101.8F).
I just hate not knowing whether its teeth, or immunisations (though it’s been over a week since he had those), or he's really unwell? So I am taking him to the doctors. Panadol is bringing his temp down at night, and during the day we're managing to keep him cool.
Other than the temps though and some "fun" with settling to sleep at night time, he has been a relatively happy chappie.
Christie - yay on the toddler bed! We have a bed for Milo in storage, my Auntie gave it to us. I don't know when to put Milo in it though; I think I will wait til he starts trying to climb out of his cot!
Tiff- You will be fine. Going by what you have been through and how you manage ( I have no Idea how you do it) but im sure you will be fine at work. Good luck!!!

Rach- Sorry milo isnt well. Callum had his shots last monday but they said it could take 3 weeks for anything to happen. It could be that.
OMG I got mad at Callum on his bday. He wouldnt have his lunch and was crying so I took him out of the high chair and put him on the floor. He walked after me screeming at me. It all happen cause he has stollen Melissa's Monkey (stuffed toy) and sleeps with it but now its becoming that he has to have it with him always. I had to wash it the other day and he had to sleep without it during the day and well it took like 3 hrs for him to go to sleep. Now he wants to eat with it but he gets food all over it. I took it off him and thats were all the trouble started. When he gets up from sleeping he will come out and play for abit then he is of to his room and pulls it out of the cot and brings it out with him. He knows its monkey as you say to him where is monkey and he goes and gets it. Its cute but not when eating. So I got mad with him and he got so upset following me screaming at me. I feel so bad as its his bday and maybe I should have let him have it to eat with but dont want it becoming a habbit. Geee WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?????:confused:
Awwww Missy. Is there a plastic cuddly toy that you can get him to associate with his bath & feeding? That way he knows monkey is for the other times, but this (easily washable/wipedown) toy is the one he can take with him in the bath, pool or to eat?

Ive tried other toys and he just doesnt want them. I feel so bad now:frown: that its his bday and now he has gone to bed. He walked into his bedroom with monkey and wingde at his cot. I put him in and he went straight to sleep. Poor little thing. I dont know what im going to do but he did like it when I had to wipe his face and monkey's face. He laughed at that. I'll see what happens tonight at dinner time. Went and brought a cheap cake to have tonight and party hats. Took some photos of him and Melissa. Will be putting them on the net next week some time. Melissa goes back to school tomorrow....woooohooo....lol

I just wanted to let you all know that I put some new photos on Jasmines site (in January 2007 of course) if you want to check them out.
We started back at Gymbaroo today, our new class is at 10am. It was like waking up at the crack of dawn PMSL I had to wake Jasmine at 9am and she was soooo tired. It was lots of fun and Im so glad to be back there! It looks so funny because were in the next class up, all the kids can walk (our last years class only had a couple of walkers, the rest crawlers) and they were just all walking around, bumping into each other. There is one walker in our class who is 8.5 months!!!!!!!! She is soooo teeny tiny!
I must find something else to do during the week. She loves Gymbaroo and the interaction so much...everything is "ohh wow" and "oh wow mum" or "ohhh wahhh" Cracks me up What do you guys do during the week? Any classes or activities?
Not much else is new, I think I told you all how Jasmine is saying "there you are" now. Thats my huge thing. I cant believe she can say it, and has the right timing for it KWIM? If I hide from her, and then say peekaboo, she says 'there you are' I love it. She also says "car, brrrm brrrm" whenever we see one. And will wave and say Hello to almost every single person we pass! Australia Day was so funny, we went into the Harbour and there was just people everywhere, and she kept grabbing peoples hats..... funny. We took her on the monorail which spun her right out, and we did the harbour thing on the boat, later we went into Darling Harbour to see the fireworks, and she wasnt scared of them at all. I think I was more frightened than her!!! She did not sleep at all the entire day, as soon as we got into the car though, she crashed it. I couldnt believe it, she must have been up for over 10 hours, and she wasnt even a Miss Cranky Pants!
Im starting to see her temper more and more which worries me a little, she really skitzes it. She kicks me really hard when Im changing her nappy and she just glares at me! When I say no Jasmine, she squeals this horrid noise that Im sure could break glass. She wont sit in her bath seat anymore, that got the flick a few weeks ago. Heaven help me when it comes time to eat dinner in the high chair, she looks like Houdini trying to get out of her straps. Oh and if she gets angry and someone is holding her, they get a big whack to the chest or sometimes the head! I think its all just her testing me out. Seeing how much leverage she has, what she can get away with. Im pretty ok with everything, but when she glares right at me.......ohhhh that pushes my buttons LOL I know whats shes thinking because I have that same glare!!!
Im sure I have heaps to tell you, I just cant remember it all!
I must run though, my brother and his fiancee are coming over. Did I tell you my little brother got engaged? Im really shocked, but really happy. She is a very nice girl, and her name (kate) is easy to remember pmsl!

I just looked at Jasmine's pics, she's so divine KAte!!!!! you're very good doing gymbaroo. We dont' do any activities, coco and I. Infact I've been busy thinking about tilly's activities, forgot about my poor coco. Thing is though, we are so at the transition swapping from two sleeps to one. Today she went down at 10am and didn't sleep until MIDDAY. So from now on Im putting her down midday for her one sleep. That way I am actually free in the mornings and we can do morning activities. Can't afford much at the mo, but might join gymbaroo. Tilly loved that and it's great to do moving to a new area nad making some local friends. Thanks kate, think I'll look into that after this!!!
Apart from that coco is just gorgeous. She talks NON stop, but her only real word is tilly, she pronounces it Tiddy!! She also says usual things, and car is a favourite,. Guess she has a few real words. She LOVES her new house, she crawls on the balcony (and cruises) constantly. its a rough cement so she's been bruised for the last month all down her legs.
BAck AGAIN to edit~! been catching up on a bit. Missy, I am thinking of you and know that you wont' help but worry, but know we're all here for you, Im sure Callum will be fine. Not fun to wait though, I think it SUX that they make you wait that long.
Tiff, I LOVE your pics. I love my photography, but have a thing or two to learn from you!! I've actually done some work for my dad recently. He's written a book on retirement and I've taken some photos for him to put on real estate.com (which will have his book on it). im also doing a home business. Can't talk about it on here, but email if anyone is interested. I have found my niche. The business is going to work so well with my life coaching (I start that in two weeks). I am also working at mums cafe on wednesdays.
Ok, I haven't caught up with much, but Im getting there!

Missy – Jett is the same. He has this dog ‘Mr Blue’ that he takes around with him. He isn’t too hard to take off him but whenever he is grumpy or tired he will cuddle up to him. I have the trouble of trying to find another one as he has a habit of sucking on the tail and it is starting to get very yucky!! I have been online to try and find one, oh maybe I will try ebay. We got it as a gift.
