Tiggy - I cannot believe what an amazingly strong woman & mother you are! As if twins alone aren't enough to work with; add in another 5 children to the mix and an evil sister & SM. Like the other girls have mentioned; always feel free to vent here whenever you need it. Those two little boys (your nephews) are so incredibly lucky to have such a caring Aunt & Uncle who have welcomed them into the fold with open arms.
Glad to hear that Ivy & Noah are cruising along. Once you change up the formula; I'm sure that their weight difference will even out. :) Just love the photos on your webpage!
Meg - YAY for Coco's 5th month birthday! :) Must be such a relief to have that positive report back and that it is just because of the cereal. It's also good news that Tim had a great first day at work..must be such a load off your mind not to have to stress about money anymore!
Sarajo - Hope you and Abby are going well! I had my ears pierced 6wks before my 12th birthday so I could wear my first fancy pair of earrings for our year 7 formal which happened to be on my birthday. Am so glad I didn't have it done earlier....the woman half-pierced the first ear, had to reload the piercing gun and re-do it through the same earlobe. Was not impressed.
I know a lot of people who have had their children done really young and never had any problems. So basically, I think no-one knows what is better for Abby then you & Don. I personally will be waiting until Maddy asks, and I guess John & I will decide when we feel it's appropriate for her.
Kate - Thanks for the reassurance about my mothering skills....it's so easy to feel guilty about any little thing that goes 'wrong' with your bubby. I think you are right about keeping her away from people....we won't be going anywhere until the end of the week other than the doctors' tomorrow. Sadly her rash doesn't appear to be clearing up...even a little bit.
Well, it's 10pm and Miss Madeline is fast asleep (Demazin for Infants is strong stuff...she's been sleeping well. Slept 3hrs straight during the day in her cot today and only cried for 10mins before nodding off) so I'm going to take myself off to bed.
GOOD sleep vibes   for all of your bubs ladies, and in turn for yourselves! :)
-
Thank you all for your opinions on earriong. I had mine done when I was 3 and I was old enough to remember that it hurt. I also couldn't keep my fingers off them, which had to make it hard on my mom. I think that if I were to wait till Abby were 12 or so, old enough not to fiddle with them, that would be good, but I want her to have them as a child like I did, so I think the sooner the better since she wont fuss with them now and by the time she is old enough to know to fuss with them they will be healed and everything. I know I will hate the process of having it done, but just like shots, she should be feeling it only for a couple mintues. I hope!
Tiggy, wow, your poor thing! I had no idea you were going through all that drama! I hope your sister does clean herself up and turn her life around, but to take the boys back, man that will be hard on them and on you and your family! I am sorry to hear about your dad's death. How hard to cope with all of this. Sounds like your ESM is confused and wrong. Do you have any other brothers or sisters you can turn to for support?
Ivy has reflux? Awe, I know how you feel dealing with that! I hope the zantac works for her! What the doctors tell me is if she is gaining good weight and she is not in pain, it is more a laundry problem than a problem for her, and babies do grow out if it thank God! Now with Abby she is in quite a bit of pain, so much that she cant eat when it is acting up most. That is why she is on so much medicine. The medicine helps heaps with the pain. She still spits up quite a bit, but as long as she's not in pain I dont mind the extra loads of laundry and outfit changes! My neighborhood knows Abby as the spit up baby and when I bring her out the want to hold her but they ask me if she has eaten anytime recently beacuse they know its comming. I think she has gotten everyone who has held her!
Wow this is a super long post. I will have to finish later. I want to take a little nap. I was up so late last night!
Oh the sushi party was fabulous and yummy!
You all have a good day!
-
Hi guys. Beck, i hope Abby's rash clears up quickly. what a pain. Could it be exzma or something?
Coco had a TERRIBLE night. I am so not happy! Don't know if it's teeth, or solids sitting in her tummy (wil giver her food earlier today) but she was up most of the night . Well she woke at 2am but didn't feed until 3am, and then she was awake on and off until 7am. REALLy annoyed as I was awake the whole time. Not coping too well. I've heard babies can be really unsettled around 5 month mark. We've had it for 2 weeks now on and off and I hope it stops soon.
gotta go, tilly back to school today and have to make her lunch.
xoxo
-
Meg - I'm hearing you on the crappy night. Maddy slept from 9pm through til 1:30am. I don't even remember getting up to bring her to bed and feed her. I was then awake on and off from 4am through til 8:30am when I finally got up.
Sorry to hear that Coco had an akward night....I guess with babies you can never totally relax even when they get into a good sleep pattern. Just about anything can wake them up or give them a rough night. I hope that tonight brings a better sleep for all of you.
Sarajo - MMMMmmmmmm....sushi! I'm fussy - I only eat the chicken sushi (I don't like seafood) but I've made John promise he'll take me to the local sushi train. *L* I think you sound like you've thought the ear-piercing thing out. Everyone is going to have a different opinion, so don't let anyone make you feel bad about your choice. You're Abby's parents and you obviously adore your daughter and it's hardly Chinese water torture.
I've been slaughtered by another cold/flu. Maddy is doing ok on her Demazin but I feel like I've been run over by a bus. Might have to visit the chemist when I take Maddy back to the doctors today.
The rash on Maddy's chest is fortunately not eszcema....I had a minor freak-out when the Dr brought it up, but he only mentioned it to find out if we had a family history of it. There is next to none of this in our family - John gets something similiar on his hands but it's stress related.
-
*LOL* Just put Maddy down for her nap about 5mins ago and realised she wasn't crying. Normally the crying starts about 2 seconds after I leave the room when she realises it's not a game and it's time for a nap. (I turn the light off and turn on the light'n'sounds toy so she recognises it's sleep time).
Was wondering why she wasn't crying so I just snuck up to the door. Missy is on her tummy with her back arched right up; looking around the room for Mummy. Little cheeky chicken. hehehe :smt016
-
Cute Beck!! At least she's happy in her cot now, that's great!! I let Coco lie in her cot at 4am this morn. normally I wouldn't because of noise, but I was just so over it today. Anyway, she settled herself a few times, in between the talking (so suprised Tilly slept through it) and I think I'll have to do that from now on. I know I won't sleep through it, but just getting up and down is driving me nuts!! At least if they're happy in their cot, that's something!
meanwhile, she's had a two hour sleep thismorn, still asleep and it's nearly midday.
Sarajo, I agree with beck, you do what you want, you're obviously wonderful parents, and I can see Abby with earrings!!!
Beck, maybe you should consider flu shot, seriously great thing!!
YIPEE, just rang my doc adn he's given Coco's liver the all clear!!!!!!!!!! 5 MONTHS on and we can forget about the jaundice/liver prob. Im relieved!!
xoxo
-
WTG on the liver Coco! :) What a relief for you & Tim Meg!
VENT - :fuming: - Maddy has just gone off to sleep and goddamn lawn mowing people have turned up! It doesn't seem to matter what time of the day I put her down for a nap....it's like they've got intuition when she is going to be needing a sleep so they turn up and get their 2 whipper-snippers going at the same time! GRRRRRRRRR.......
I doubt she is going to sleep through this which means she's gonna be cranking and irritable for the doctors at 3pm! ](*,) ](*,)
-
YAY Coco's liver! Woohoo, great news meg!
Poor Beck, I hope you are feeling better soon! Nasty colds! I got the flu shot and have been rather healthy since, except the mastitis off and on!
Thanks for your support on the earring thing. I was seriously worried that I would get it done and then post a pic and really about what a terrible mother I am! My mom is not supportive, and neither is my sister, but I really want to get it done. It helps to have some support, thanks girls!
Beck, how dare the lawn mowers! I would go right up to them with a big sign saying "baby finally asleep so shut it!" lol! I hope maddy slept through it!
have a great night!
-
Beck, i was JUST thinking today that I wonder if anyone has the lawn mowers going!! That's because we had leaf blower here this morning (he's here every tuesday) and I was glad for once Coco wasnt' due for a sleep at that time. CAn't believe you've got the lawn mowers. NIGHTMARE. Did Maddy sleep through? I hope so.
Gotta go, Im walking to school to get Tilly, hoping Coco will sleep in HAB. She slept for 2.5 hours this morn so not sure if she'll be tired or not.
talk soon xoxo
-
me again! I put a couple of pics up the other day.
Also Im getting Coco christened this sunday. it's going to be joint with my neice Zara. I have Tilly's old christening dress all dry cleaned ready to go! Looking forward to it!
xo
-
Good Afternoon ladies,
Firstly want to say to Tiggy you are a WONDERWOMEN, you Are truly amazing!! We are here for you always... There are days that I find the whole motherhood thing rather overwhelming, I can only imagine how full on your days must be!!!
Meg yay on Coco’s test results! What great news!!! Hannah is also getting christened on Sunday. Hope you are liking school!!
Beck, sorry to hear that Maddy is sick again. Hope Maddy stayed asleep for you this afternoon?
Sarajo can’t wait to see photos of Abby with her earrings.
This was a very quick catch up because Hannah is stirring and once again I have missed out on so much…
XXXXXXX
-
Rach, we'll both have christening photos to post next week!!
I am having trouble with Coco's sleeping and wondering how you guys put your bubs to bed, as in wrap, sleeping bag etc. Im still wrapping but she is trying to eat her hands constantly. However if I don't wrap I have no hope of sleep.
Any ideas appreciated xoxo
ps Rach, we need to see some pics of hannah!! Do you not have a website anymore?
-
Meg - I haven't wrapped Maddy since she was really little (like 3 or 4 weeks old) because she can worm her way out of just about any wrap, no matter who does it. I have wondersuits which normally keep her warm and safe feeling; or I put her in a three-quarter length cotton coverall (without covered legs) and slip her inside her short-sleeved Piglet sleeping bag.
Rach - SO nice to see you in here again! :) Hope Miss Hannah is cruising along for you....I'm with Meg....any new photos of Hannah we can look at?
We went to the GP this afternoon...Maddy's chest/lungs are still clear which is great news. As for the rash....it DID start off as a scratch which got germy and then basically all of the drool from her teething has irritated it and stopped it from healing. We went out and bought some plastic backed bibs to try and keep her tops dry - and in turn her chest so the rash can heal.
Miss Madeline is crying in her Jolly Jumper so I'm off to get her settled for the evening. Be back later on! :)
-
Beck, that reminds me. Coco has had a spot on her chin (poor bub, reached adolescents already) and it is STILL there 5 weeks later. i put this down to her drool!! So now you've said it prevents it from healing, it's ok. Poor child has this red spot in all her photos!!
The little bugger has done her shortest morning sleep in AGES. She's been doing over 2 hours but has only done 1/2 hour today. i have put her in her sleeping bag arms free, and put her back down. My mum had her this morn and had put her arms out anyway, so I think we're going to continue with that., she's just hating having her arms wrapped.
She had a TERRIBLE night and I just let her cry from 12.30-1.30am, Im so over getting up to her, that I let her cry herself to sleep. Poor tilly said this morn that it woke her. I figure I'll give it a go for a few nigths and HOPE she starts to sleep better. I don't know why she's waking, her teeth seem ok, and she's definitely not hungry (she's packing on teh weight). So Im at a loss of what to do!!
hope everyone has a good day xoox
-
  Had a rotten night here too. I was up chatting online to friends overseas til midnight. Maddy had gone to bed at 9pm, and as I walked into the room at midnight she was awake and waiting for me. Not happy Jan, as she usually sleeps through til 3-4am.
So I feed her, she gets bad wind and spends the next two hours grumbling, grunting and wriggling. Wakes up again, roots around for boobie and then by 4am Ive had enough of the singing she starts doing in between the wriggling. Sit her up...explosive poo. Yes, just what I feel like at 4am with next to no sleep under my belt.
Back to bed....chatting/singing becomes louder. DH throws a tantrum and goes into the loungeroom to try and get sleep. Chatting continues, even with boobie in mouth. I feel my anger rising so up again (yet another wind-propelled poo) and Missy ends up in her cot for 10mins while I get my temper in check.
Again back to bed...Maddy starts up the same stuff again along with snotty snorting (due to cold) and I put her in pram in lounge room and I collapse on lounge. Ignore Maddy and wake up an hour later when DH puts a blanket on me. She is finally asleep. She sleeps for two more hours and I feel like Ive been run over by a train.
:fuming: So now Im a selfish, sleep-deprived Mummy and CRANKY. I think our babies have been in cahoots Meg!
I think the skin needs the opportunity to dry in order to heal Meg. Thats why we bought the plastic bibs as he said to do our absolute best to keep the drool off her chest so it can heal. I guess with Coco's chin its harder because off all the drooling. GP suggested zinc based cream to help heal (effectively nappy rash cream). Perhaps you could try a tiny dab of cream on her chin when she goes to sleep at night?
-
Good Morning guys!!!!
If i get a chance i will up date picturetrail today, i have just posted a few on there this morning. Passwords are on the front page..
Sorry to you both for having a bummer of a night. Well Beck no wonder you feel like you have been hit by a truck!! Maybe Maddy had an upset tummy so tonight will be a better night!!!! Make sure you lie down when Maddy does!!
Meg I stopped wrapping Hannah about 6 weeks ago, she sucks her Thumb to resettle herself during the night and plus I really think she was just hating it and it was causing her a little bit of an ordeal...
We still do the bath feed and then sleep pattern at night. When Hannah wakes up during the night I feed her, For example last night she went to bed at 9.00 and then woke up at 4.00 she had a full feed put her back to bed she slept until 5.40 I try to resettled for about 40mins tried her on the breast and yes she was hungry again, she had another full feed. She woke up at 8.20 and I feed her at 8.50. Hannah is going about 3 hours between feeds during the day. I have an appointment with MCHN next week and I am wondering if she will suggest That Hannah starts on solids. I truly believe she is ready, I really wanted to wait until 6 months but I will do what Hannah tells me.
I better go, Got heaps of washing to do and plus I have a fair bit of running around to do before mothers group this arvo!!!
I hope you both get to have a rest during the day!!
-
Rach, she's gorgeous!! Sorry, forgot about picturetrail, Im hopeless!! She's grown sooo much!!
Just got Coco to sleep after some hysterical crying. Im trying the sleeping bag, no wrapping. Anyway, going to try to get a quick nap in!!
Rach, Coco up until a week ago, was sleeping similar to Hannah. She was doing 7.30p-between 3.30-5.30am then I'd feed and back to sleep. now she won't go down after a feed and is waking many times. I think it's either a stage, or it's her teeth. she has started solids and is loving them, but hasn't helped her sleep!! I started her about 2 days before 5 months and am really happy with the decision, she just loves it and gobbles it up. Im looking forward to starting some fruit next week. First im going to give rice cereal twice a day, starting friday.
off for my nap (she'll wake up now I bet)!! xoxoxo
-
Meg & Beck, Logan and I had a bad night last night too. I only got about 3 hours sleep, Logan got a little more, but by 5am I had to just put him in his cot and let him entertain himself while I had a nap for half an hour. I had tucked him in nicely and when I went back in there he had his leg between the bars on the side of his cot and him pulling a blanket over his head. Thankfully he wasn't suffocating himself, just holding it above his face, but it gave me a scare.
But he wakes 3 - 4 times a night and has only ever slept all night once. It's driving me crazy, I just want one night where I sleep for more than 2 hours at a time. I'm going to try and get him in to a proper routine (sometimes things come up and I don't quite follow my plan for his bedtime), otherwise I will take him for a day stay at the family care cottage and see if they can help me.
-
Oh Melly, I hear you. Hope you and Logan have a better sleep tonight!
Funny you should mention the leg through the cot bars thing. Maddy did that yesterday during her day sleep. She'd gotten it so thoroughly stuck on an angle (she wiggles around the cot on her belly) and after crying for a few minutes; just lay there with her face in the blanket defeated.
Have you tried a sleeping bag? Sheets and blankets just freak me out now as she can escape a wrap in a few seconds and always manages to get them up around her face.
-
I have been thinking about it. Michaels Dad sent me money to buy some things for Logan, since he won't be able to see him for a while. So I will go and have a look for some tomorrow.
I must admit, I normally don't get too upset by the lack of sleep, just today was such a big day for us (went out at 8am, got home at 5pm) so I knew I wouldn't be able to have nap to catch up on my sleep. And I'd just gotten tired and fed up.
I put Logan to bed at 8pm, wrapped him, but left his arms out so he can suck on his thumb, and he's still asleep. So :crossfingers: that it will last.
-
*crosses fingers that Logan stays asleep for a few hours yet for you* Maddy went down just after 8pm too. [-o< that she'll sleep til 2am at least.
-
oh Beck, your first post made me laugh, you paint such a vivid picture! You poor thing! I hope tonight's sleep is going much better!
I hope all of you are getting better sleeps!
Meg, Abby's chin has been breaking out for some time now, Im sure due to a combo of drool and spit up. Oh and I still wrap her with her arms out. She kicks out of her wrap about have the time but not till morning!
Rach Im gonna try to check out your pics now! Can you put the www on your profile so it is easier to remember the username? Its just that my mommy brain cant remember! :)
-
Awe she is so gorgeous Rach! I love the green outfit! I see where you have the username now! It would be easier if you had it on your profile that way it would be just a click! Yes, I am feeling lazy now! lol!
Its funny how I will see all your babies in their sweaters and warm clothes while you now will see Abby in her summer tank tops and swimwear! How cold does it get where you live? Does it snow? I am so naive! Here in TX it rarely snows, like every 7 years or so! It gets chilly, just enough to run the fireplace and wear a sweater, but no need for heavy snow coats or anything usually!
-
Wow 3 posts iin a row! I'll stop after this lol! I just had to tell you what happened last night!
jump jump jump...jump jump jump (for like .5 hour) jump jump silence! I run in to see my cheeky monkey slumped over in her jumperoo! She had played so hard she jumped herself right to sleep! Of course I had to take a picture! It is in her photo gallery along with a bunch of other new ones! \:D/
-
OMG Sara! *L* I love all of the new pictures of Abby, but especially the one of her asleep in her jumperoo! *LMAO* :cryinglaugh: :cryinglaugh: Hilarious stuff.
We had a better night last night - 8pm til 12:40am, 1am-4am and then 5am-8:30am. A few wake ups but I think it's directly relational to her cold and as a result she's extra hungry/thirsty. She's also been lapping at water out of cups so we're gonna get her a sippy cup tonight. She especially likes drinking boiled water that's chilled in the freezer out of her bottle because she can rub the cold teat against her gums. Funniest face ever when she swallows the cold water! hehe
I am so glad I have persevered with the sleep/nap-time for Maddy during the day. It was a bit disrupted last week as we went out three days in a row but we've been back in our sleeping pattern for four days now. She's gone from crying for up to 4 hours and refusing to sleep; to today where she barely cried for 5mins before she went to sleep. She's been asleep for an hour and a half now so YAYYYYY!!!! She shows tired signs of rubbing her eyes and getting grumbly around 10:45am and thats when I put her down. The last few days she's been asleep by 11am.
How are all of your day sleeps going ladies? :)
-
Great news on the sleeps Beck! Do you give Maddy water often? I never have with Abby!
Hey, I just sent you a movie of Abby (speaking of funny faces) let me know if you get it! :)
-
Generally speaking Sara, babies get all of the fluid they need in the breastmilk (not absolutely sure about formula but you'd think it'd be the same) so they don't need water at this age....
That said, lately Maddy has had a cold so I figured that extra fluids (water only) can't hurt her (GP said it was fine) and the earlier she gets used to drinking water the better for her. You can tell she gets 'brain freeze' from the cold water....it's funny stuff.
I give her the chilled water in her bottle a few times a day, she'd be lucky if she had 5mls at a time but she likes to suck and chew on it. It doesn't effect the length of her feeds so I'm happy to give it to her.
-
Be back soon....better run off and make some lunch because I'm sure Maddy will be waking up sometime soon, she's been asleep for 2hrs.
-
How did you guys get on here? I haven't been able to get on until now!!
Well, our wonderful sleeping routine is out the window and Coco will NOT settle at all now. I have decided maybe she needs more fluids to deal with her solids, so since 4pm today I've been giving her breast, water, prune juice and formula!! Poor baby is FULL. Our nights have been so awful, I just hope maybe it was that she needed more to drink. She just GUZZLED the water and breastmilk.
Going to check out Abbys pics, that is soooo funny that she fell asleep in her jumper!! At least you know how to wear her out!!
It doesn't snow where I am, but does snow a couple of hours away. I havent' been to the "proper" snow in ages (about 6 hour drive) but we used to ski every year. I'd love to spend a year in UK and have a white christmas! Wehn I lived there, the chrissy I was there had very little snow.
Gotta run, Mel, good luck with the sleeping, Beck has done a brilliant job. If coco doesn't sleep properly again and I rule out all reasons, I will be doing the letting her cry. It's just such a pain because we did all that months ago, and she adjusted sooo quickly. Oh well, the ups and downs of bubba's!! xoxoxoox
-
Awwww Meg....I'm sorry to hear that Coco won't settle for you. I truly hope that it's just a super-short 'stage' and she goes back into a nice settling pattern for you soon.
Wish I had some suggestions; but every bub is different so what works for Maddy definately won't necessarily work for any other bubby. It's good that you're trying to rule out the 'easy' reasons first to do with food/drink.
A big thing for settling Maddy during the day is that she gets put in her cot, I tuck in a light wrap over her, kiss her on her forehead and say 'Mummy loves you and I'll see you when you wake up from your nap' and then turn her lights'n'sounds toy. She knows then (and certainly doesn't appreciate it) that Mummy means it and it's time for a sleep.
-
Well Coco settled REALLY well last night, 5 minutes. She still woke a couple of times and it was hard to get her back to sleep, but she only fed at 4.45am, so that's good. And I put her down for her sleep this morn and she settled straight away, YIPEE. Hoping she sleeps past half an hour! Im making stewed apple at the moment, Im going to give her her first real food today!! (rice cereal is too boring, I'll mix it in with it)> I also think she needs fruit for her bowel!!
Will let you know how we go, it's rather exciting!! Tilly has been helping me feed her each day, but Im going to do this by myself, it's quite nice having a special time just me and Coco (has been hard for last few weeks with both tim and tilly home)!!
Hope everyone slept well !
Beck, I do a similar settling routine. I wrap her (yes we gave up on grobag) say goodnight love you, and then put on her heart beat music and in to bed!!! xo
-
-
Yay....love the new format! :)
Nothing much happening today; John & I have just been talking about our options with his parent's house (which we currently housesit) and also about an entrapenuer (or however you spell it) idea I've come up with. Not even sure of the process you're supposed to take... *LOL*
-
hi everyone..omg it has been such a long time since i have been on belly belly!! i have been so side tracked with things on this end that i haven't had time to think!!I hope you're all well, have just had a quick look at your babes..they are all absolutely gorgeous!!and so grown up!!!We are going well.Owen is getting big now(8kg & 68cm!!) and is loving solids!!I've got a new website for him its: http://users.tpg.com.au/104176/ we haven't updated it for a few weeks, but will be soon.
I hope you're all well, have been thinking of you all but have just been having a rough trot. Look forward to getting in contact again!!
Christie xx
-
Hey Christie! Nice to hear from you and see little Owen again! He is so cute and getting so big!
Beck, have fun! What kind of entrepreneur?
Meg so haapy Coco got settled better!
Do you all have high chairs? Where do you sit the babies for a feed?
Abby is waking, I better go feed her! We start oatmeal Sunday!
Meg too exciting about the fruit! I have been warned from my doc that adding fruits to cereal may make them always want the sweetness and not take veggies and plain cereal as well. Just fyi. I dont know if I believe it or not~!
Y'all have a great day!
-
CHRISTIE!! Welcome Back, we have missed you adn been wondering where you've gotten to. Owen is gorgeous and has grown so much!! What have you been up to?
Sarajo, thanks for the tip, but Im not too concerned about starting fruit or veg first. As it turns out the apple was so bitter she wouldn't eat it! We're on to sweet potato today! I think I'll find that I will give her whatever she'll eat. She loves the cereal but I have a feeling she is going to be hard to please with anything else!! ALso I started Tilly with fruit and she ended up being a brilliant vegie eater!
Beck, what are your entrepreneurial plans??? (sorry, bad spelling).
Isn't it tragic about poor little Sophie. (Sarajo, a few years ago there was an accident and a car ran into a child care centre. Two little girls were seriously injured. ANyway 3 years later they're onn the road to recovery and yesterday one of them was hit by a car). I've just had a look and they think she will pull through. The poor little girl and her poor family. I can't comprehend their pain.
Anyway, gotta run, it's madness in this house and it's only 7.45am xoxo
-
-
Hi Meg and Sarajo!!Am so glad to be back!!I missed you guys too!!
Just a quick question re:new layout..what does the title mean...'teen rager', 'toddler' all of those??am clueless!!
Ben and i have been having a few dramas so have been really sidetracked trying to get back on track(he was having a bit of an online/sms 'thing' with an old friend of his..and i found out, was pretty heartbroken but is def improving now..been seeing a counsellor etc)so i have pretty much just thrown myself into taking care of Owen..he's been really great!!he's been on rice cereal for 4 weeks now and had pear every morning last week. Started apple yesterday and he loves it..next week veges!!!He sits up in his high chair for it and even 'helps' by holding onto the spoon!!its so cute!!he just seems to grow more every day!!(well he probably does..he put on 1.05kg and grew 2.5cm this mth!!)
I can't believe what has happened to Sophie!!That poor little babe has been through enough surely!!Am definately thinking of her and her family..if she pulls thru this she surely has a guardian angel!!
have a great day all
xx
-
Christie, there wasnt' enough space on the other belly belly site?? So this is the new one! only got changed yesterday!! Toddler, teenrager etc is just how many posts you've done. Can you tell I've done HEAPS!!
Sorry to hear about you and Ben. I am glad things are getting better. What a ****! (sorry, but men can just be so useless). I hope he realises how lucky he is to have you and Owen.
We've started solids too. Coco hated apple, so we're going for sweet potato today!!
Sarajo, I just feed Coco in her rocker. Unfortunately we have no room in our unit for a high chair, but even if we did, I wouldn't be using it until she was able to sit up properly (she cant even sit up for too long in her pram, so she'd have no hope in a high chair). maybe about 7 months I'll think about it, when it starts to get alot messier and she wants to use a spoon!!
-
Glad to see you back Christie!
Wow Owen is really growing well! He's so cute :D
Sorry to hear about the dramas going on, but glad things are improving a little.
Wow, poor Sophie! My heart goes out to her and her family.
Logan is doing well, he is 7.8kgs & 69.5cms. I think/hope his teeth will come through soon. I can see and feel two bottom middle teeth through his gums. He is so upset by it, had another night filled with screaming last night. He slept better last night though. Went from 9:30 - 2:30 then 3 - 4:15 & 4:45 - 6:45.
Have a good day everyone
