Hey Lauren, I'm 27. I think IKWYM about the cot... Mine is already lowered but the side goes up and down. I've still got it down because I'm still getting her up overnight, but I'm told I should have it up so she gets used to it. Yes, I reckon having to reach down that far would be a pain in the back. I would think we'd need to adjust them before the babies start pulling themselves up... Just in case they practice in bed and fall out
