*Nic* it beats me why they do it, Alex also has this annoying habit of playing with peoples hair and he is forever fondling Vicky's hair (gently)
*Haroula* hope you are all feeling cold free today
Had a good night both kiddies were asleep by 7pm :dance: Alex ended having a bad dream so slept with us until 3am when Miss V wanted food and a clean nappy - not nice girly at 3am. but they are both still asleep atm.
Have a great day everyone

Olivia FINALLY woke at 8:30 last night.. 5 and a half hours sleep.. lol.. but she went back to sleep byt 9:30 and slept till 3 ish.. I don't know what was up but she woke screaming.. It seemed to take ages to calm her down.. and well then she didn't sleep so flash after that but I feel good this morning
We not long got back from our walk to the park.. We didn't go down to the beach this morning. Just a bit to windy..
Well miss is cracking again.. she is a grumpy bum in the mornings now lol.. She has already had one nap but wants me to hold her. I am about to go make playdough for the boys..
-
morning ladies..
still feeling a bit blah! Chrissie spent all of yesterday pooping!! the poor darling... today she seems a bit better! She still is struggling to sleep though.,... i don't know what this new business is at 10am! when she usually goes down for her nap.. nap no more!! she's sitting there awake in her bed! hmmmm
yesterday i ended up holding her most of the day so she could get an hrs sleep!! At least today so far she is in her cradle quiet!..yesterday was a whole day of screaming! could not put her down at all!!! i've just put some music on in her room..lets see if it helps!
Got an appointment with GP tomorrow to find out whether Chrissie has a bit of reflux OR wind ! When she eats it's a constant battle to keep her still!! She's always stretching,m arching her back and squishing up her legs! and sometimes she stops sucking and lets out a bit of a scream! so thought i better get it checked out... may be why she isn't sleeping during the day much anymore!?!?
i dunno.. wish they could tell you what was the matter!

:(Hi all
This is going to be a big post so bear with me....Mainly about me sorry :( Hoping for some advice ...
For the past 2 weeks I have been living with extreme mouth pain finally went to the doctors last week as it was unbelievably unbearable and couldnt manage the pain ... Anyway mouth area is visibly swollen so I get given antibiotics and told to come back in a week....Well 6 days later still no relief and in so much pain nothing is easing the pain was taking that many drugs and the pain wasnt even dulled...So crying and upset DP rings health direct whom then rings the local nurse who tells us to met her there.....She rings dr and gets permission to give a shot of pethadine and some pande forte until I see the Dr in the morning....Even this didn't take away the pain and all these drugs where unsettling poor Olivia's tummy which was distressing...
Anyhow go see Dr in the morning and he cant see why I am in so much pain no visible signs ie no holes in teeth no receding gum line etc so he sends me for a xray and then asks about pain relief told him the stuff the nurse gave me ddnt touch the pain so he says he can give me endone but I can not breast feed while taking it and for 7-10 days after .......Was a hard horrible decsion but the pain (still suffering) is unbearable and I couldnt sleep or function so decide olivia would go onto formula until the problem sorted....
Well the S26 newbown she hated would scream and scream so asked friend to bring around the formula she uses so we didn't have to buy every one on the market...and she took S26 Gold....Though on her 3rd feed she vomited it all up even out her nose.....Before I took the endone I expressed 150ml and gave it to her to settle her....I don't know what to do she don't like formula but I cant give her my milk now :(
A friend who has twin boys 5 days older than Olivia offered some of her ebm as she produces a whole heap she can get 450ml from onr breast in 7 min
I am tempted would you...
Sorry about the me post but I am so worried about Olivia not eating well and going to be 39 here today ,
I cant stand the pain either and even on endone I still feel it :(
-
As I said to you on msn.. I would go for it with the EBM but only if you feel comfortable with it..
I hope they find out what this pain is..
-
TeenaRose - huge  mouth/teeth pain is one of the worst things in the world.
I would take the offer of EBM as long as your friend doesn't smoke/drink or have more caffiene (sp??) than you do (assuming you have any that is) if not maybe try Karicare thats what we had DS on and now DD and i know that Woolies stocks small sachets of it so you wouldn't have to buy a whole tin if Olivia doesn't like it. If your friend isn't a suitable option i know some states actally have milk banks so that could be another option for you.
Best of luck and i hope you are out of pain soon
-
Teena- :hugs: if you feel comfortable, go for it! when i was born prem, my mum had heaps of milk so she used to feed another bub at the hospital also!!
-
Darn it didn't even think about smoking :( she is a smoker guess that option is out then......
-
teena that sucks- what a dillemma for you! i hope you have gotten some rellief and the dr's have worked out what the problem is, or perhaps you've found alternative pain relief that is effective (whack on the head with a 4b2?- that way you can still breast feed unconcious). i'd be more inclined to give breast milk from a smoker than formula- what do the maternal health nurses suggest?
haroula - chrissie sounds pretty normal to me. except for all that sleeping through the night - that's never been my experience:cry:.
i think back to when we used to put olly to sleep gendong bobo (walking around cuddling him till he dropped off) and now there's no way i would, even if i could (and i cant with a two year old on my heels). i have access to so much info this time that i'm trying all the different techniques if i agree with the rationale - like not feeding mylo 10 times in the night - letting him fall asleep in his bed without me after he's fed, which should hopefully decrease his waking.
i'm loving the double pram- best 20 i ever spent. we even took it on the bus today (had to wait for 6 to go past before one could take us)- as mylo had an eye clinic appointment that they made when he was born. apparently his retinas dont reflect evenly, they're pale and streaky. but his eyes are fine, it turns out. to test they had to dilate his eyes w drops, wait, examine with a light, examine with eye opening clamps and a bright light. not nice, much screaming...and many hours of entertaining/containing a crazy/bored 2 yo while we waited. glad its over now.
m22 nic- libido on holiday in south france. i miss it so much and dont even get a postcard. blame it on bfing. dh has been on heat ever since the birth.. oh well, we get by.
hi to everyone else.
-
I had a nap :D I feel pretty good too :D
xtml: Glad Mylo's eyes are ok.. what does it mean though? Is it just one of those things? Do they expect eye problems later and will he need to wear sunglaasses? just curious hit me if yiou want for all the questions :)
-
Maria and Sofia were both cranky pants today, I could happily have passed them off to the highest bidder. Sofia is still reacting to her immunisations as I thought she might, but at least she is sleeping at night. The rotoviris vaccine is making her have radioactive pooes again, and Maria will go into another room when she farts and has started to call her "stinky fia".
-
 Stinky fia
I dread giving Olivia her 4 months vacc. but like the CHN said. One week of a grumpy baby vs the possible complications f the actual rota virus..... So we kinda choose the vacc ...
Olivia is foul ish again.. she gets upset at the drop of a hat then will smile all happy .. right now she is with daddy but no doubt start screaming soon
my Dh has been a total cow this afternoon. foul as. getting cranky at the kids ect. I swore at him and said get back to bed :( he finished night shift this morning but that doesn't give him the right to get so cranky at the kids when they weren't being tha bad...
-
TeenaRose - ouch about the mouth pain. Hope they find the cause soon & can give you some relief. Not sure what to suggest re: taking the offer of EBM. If only she wasn't a smoker although maybe Lara has a point...
Speaking of Lara- you crack me up with your 4b2 talk. At least your libido is somewhere nice. I kinda found mine last night iykwim ;) Glad Mylo' eyes are fine!
Nic - video was real cute - she's a cracker! Yeah I get annoyed too if DH comes home & is a bit grumpy with the kids. You need to spend ALL DAY with them to be entitled to get in a mood with them;)
H - hope the colds sort themselves out. Also, hope you can work out if Chrissie does/ doesn't have silent reflux. I wouldn't be suprised if Bronte had a mild dose but am trying to weather the storm...Hope the Dr can give you some answers/ suggestions.
Have uploaded a few new pics too.
Hope everyone has a lovely day & hi to anyone I missed!!
-
Cute photos Mto2.
Nic - put DH back in his box
Well I have heaps to do today. DH who is currently working in Brisbane is working in Canberra for the next 3 weeks starting Monday and this time we are going to be staying with him most of the time. So I have to work out all the kids clothes and what can be washed easily etc.
-
morning ladies..
have added a couple new photos!
M22 - SO CUTE! Colds seem a lot better today.. Am hoping GP can tell me it's ok and that she'll get over it.. as long as she is putting on weight and isn't in pain i'm ok with it and will work out a way to deal with it!
Louise - you sound way too busy!! hope you have a nice time in Canberra!
Lara - i'm more concerned about her eating habits than anything else! We are just lucky she's so exhausted at night she sleeps well!!
-
Nic: Gorgeous pics :) Bronte has such thick dark hair! Cute and damn straight.. Only after spending a whole day with them gives him the right to get cranky. I am still mad at him.. and he wonders where my mojo went..
louise: I hope you enjoy your time away with Dh.. Even though he will be working
Haroula: Good Luck today. hope your Dr can work out whats up.. Can you ask him what Olivias issue is to? she went back to her normal routine last night lol.. odd odd child
Semi decent night here. Olivia was asleep by 8 awake at 4 back by 5 till 7.. So back to normal sleeping.. I feel reasonably decent... Taking the kids to the main beach playground shortly..
HOw often should Olivia be feeding? I know they slow down around this age but I guess I am going on previous experience with Jacob and he wasn't in a 3-4 hourly feeding routine by now. He just fed whenever. I thiknk yesterday she only had 4 decent feeds plus the one at 4am.. Maybe 6 all up if you take into account she took both boobs at bed time. She only feeds from one side per feed
-
Teena - What did the xrays show? Is it mouth, teeth, muscle or joint pain ? or all of the above??
-
hi everyone,
its been ages since i last posted but i have been busy with the kids and my FIL was staying with us for a couple of weeks.
Mirani is growing so much and is the happiest baby i've ever seen. she smiles up at me when she wakes up in the morning and hardly ever cries. and is still sleeping through the night from about 9.30pm through to 7 am when i somethimes have to wake her, even then she's still happy. it makes me cry when i look at her and she smiles at me. so cute.
although the past couple of days she;s been really grumpy and has a cry and is hard to settle. she's been very drooly and i think she may already be teething.
Tia and Alisha have settled into school really well. Tia's reading has really picked up and i'm so proud of her. Alisha just likes school and playing with her friends every day. it's hard to believe that she's going to be 5 next weekend.
by the sounds of things, everyone's bubbas are doing fantasticly (sp?) well.
take care
-
hi again,
have just added a couple more pics of the girls to my gallery:D
also, does anyone know where i can get a pony ride in perth?
( for alisha's birthday not for me)
-
Michelle: You have some gorgeous girls there :)
Mirani sounds like a delightful baby :) Can;t help you on the pony rides. but sounds like a fun birthday for a 5 yr old.. I didn't realise our 2nd borns were similar in age. Isaac will be 5 in September
-
hi ladies..
GP reckons she's sleeping too much over the night/morning period! then she has issues sleeping in afternoon!...arg!! nothing else wrong apparently... she says if i want to try the AR formula it's up to me..but she thinks she doesn't have reflux..maybe a little wind..!
As for food, as long as she is putting on weight not to worry about it!...sometimes easier said than done!
-
been a busy day here. Went out this afternoon and bought a skateboard attachment to the stroller so that Maria can stand on it when she gets too tired to walk - she loves it. At the shop she was so cute, nicely telling all the girls helping with the board about her big bath she had this morning (I added a heap of plastic containers to it that I was sorting) and also telling them about her special blue pooh bear undies she was wearing. Afterwards we went shopping and she played for ages on the play equipment, came home ate and both kids were asleep very quickly. Now I just have to complete my thankyous from the Christening (been very slack), doesn't help that mum has found out how to use messenger and is talking to me atm. My little brother has got a job and has moved to Canberra, I think it is a bit too much for her that her "baby" has finally left home.
-
Haroula: How much is Chrissie sleeping again.. I hope you let her sleep.. Maybe lay down with her in the afternoons or something.. Might be worth a try
Louise: Glad you got the skateboard thing. and that Maria likes it :)
Maria sounds so cute.. Don't all 2 y olds lol and  for your mum.. I bet she is missing her son'
Well Olivia went to sleep early again tonight.. 6 ish I think.. now is 10:30 and she is sound sound asleep..
Hope everyone else is having a good night :)
-
morning ladies,
Louise - my mother still rings me twice a day!
nic - bit of an interesting day yesterday! She ate 120ml, 70ml, 120ml, 120ml and 150ml!! WOOOHOOOOO!!! first time ever she's eaten more than 100ml more than once in a day!! And this morning when she woke up she ate 160ml!!!!
usually she will go to sleep around 9-9.30pm and wake anywhere between 3.30-6.30pm for food... then sleep again until 7.30-10 eat again and sleep until 11am-2pm... GP reckons i need to try not let her sleep after her 7.30-10am feed..! and try keeping her up until lunch time... hmmmm
in saying this she fell asleep in her swing yesterday afternoon at 4.30pm and i had to gently wake her at 8.30pm for food, bath and bed! which was GREAT!! for the first time in AGES we got to have dinner without juggling a baby!!
-
Haroula: I wonder if she will be crankier for being able to go to sleep?
Good girl Chrissie for drinking heaps :) It is nice when you don't have to juggle a baby at meal times..
Olivia slept 6 -1am then stayed awake gooing and smiling and giggling till 3am lol Then she went straight to bed and slept till 7
Not much planned for the day!
-
morning everyone.. aahh yucky day here 40degrees... aahhh
question- does anyones bubs roll there eyes around half asleep when they have wind.. ash always does it and its fine doesnt bother me but yesterday both eyes went in opposite directions and scared the crap out of me BIG TIME.. i had to wake him up cos it freaked me out so much.. and he instantly woke up, eyes wide and in the middle hehe as if he hadnt done anything....should i worry about that :S
hope everyones keeping cool today..
-
OK, we went out this morning after 9.30am feed and what do you think?! she fell asleep while on the way to supermarket and had a 30min cat nap in the carrier!! then had her milk when we got home! yup! 150ml! WOOOHOO and then was cranky pants until she fell asleep in her swing at 1.15pm!! and is till asleep so far!..hopefully she will sleep there until 4-5! would be nice! LOL
Lauren - Chrissie has done that a few times too!.. right at the end of a feed when she is half asleep!...lol... it looks funny! I don't think it's anything to be worried about!:)
-
WOOHOOO Chrissie is still asleep!! looks like my darling is back to her usual self!!.. it stays like that from now on!
-
Hi girls!!
Not much to report. Olivia all good.
had a Lovely BBQ dinner with the inlaws tonight. Ethan has a friend sleeping over. Life is good.. in some parts.. Can't pinpoint it.. Just feeling a little blah over some things. Even though I feel happy 90% of the time and I honestly do. I wonder when I feel low if I don't have a little dose of PND, I know I haven't had more then 4 hours straight sleep in over 4 months. Well once or twice I got 6 hours. So I don't know if I am just exhausted and don't realise it till I have a night like last night. Olivia was super happy but I got 2 hours sleep then she woke for 2 hours and then we slept till 7 (3am to 7am) and I don't sleep during the day.
Sorry for the ramble. Way to many thoughts running around my head. and I have to say Olivia is just awesome now. Doesn't cry as much as she used to. We still have some days but I feel more able to cope with it..
I will shut up now lol..
night Girls
-
Just wanted to say I feel better today. After a semi decent night I feel better...
-
Nic - ikwym about the lack of sleep and i think that was what helped me give in to FF. Lack of sleep sent me insane and i doubt that you have PND just sleep deprivation which is horrid. and its even worse when we cant have a cat nap during the day. Im glad to hear that Olivia isnt crying as much that certainly helps.
Haroula - Great to hear Chrissie is being a good girl again fingers crossed for you
Buzzie - Vicky does that all the time and it is really gross. hope today is cooler for you
We are still plodding along and still going with relactating - milk has increased a bit more today and she is having less formula  was a little worried last night as she had chomped at me and a little crack had started but after a long break over night *she slept for 9hrs - that is so not going to last* seems to have disappeared. Alex is being a Terrible 2 :( but DP is home for the weekend so he can deal with it.
Have a great weekend Ladies:D
-
Nic: I had pnd with the other two girls. it didnt help that i wasnt sleeping and my partner wasnt helping me. he just thought that i didnt love them. until the CHN told him that it wasnt just me, that there was something wrong.
but this time round, he is a fantastic help with all the kids. i'm sleeping alot better, although i still feel crappy some days.
and at the moment, i feel fantastic and that my life is now complete.
i havent had any depression with this bub yet, and i'm hoping that it keeps going like that. (thats why he's been helping so that it doesnt happen).
but i'm sure that being the great loving mum that you are, you cant help but feel a little overwhelmed with 4 kids and a hubby that works nights.
but we are all here if you do need to talk about stuff and need a little help.
hugs for you and take care:hug:
-
Thanks girls. I don't think it is pnd either but I tell ya yesterday it felt like it. I had it with Ethan but I didn't realise it till he was older..
Morgan: you are doing a great job at relactating.. Well done! [/SIZE]
Michelle: I have the opposite this time round. I am finding dh isn't that much of a help and I am always asking him to do this or that. I know he is great with the housework and cooking ect but sometimes I wish he would change Olivias nappy or bath the kids without me saying its bth time. and its no point waiting for him to just do it otherwise it would be 7 at night and still wouldn't be done kwim?
Now for a cool thing.... Olivia gave us her first proper laugh today. A real throw your head back chuckle. She was having a shower with daddy and when I took her out she laughed.. I got it on video this afternoon at the park though but no where as good as this mornings laugh!!
-
just uploaded some new pics :)
-
Hi all
Well the xrays showed nothing apparently!!!But I am in god aweful pain that just wont go away  I stopped taking the endone as Olivia just didnt take to formula and no satches here to try different ones you have to buy the full tin and cant afford that...Got a script for Panadine Forte but no cash to get it until pay day  so once again living of every strong pain killer out there....The antobiotics are not working God I am sick of the pain:wall: Th roof of my mouth and right next to my nose area (cheek) is killing me..Seriously thinking of going to emergency room as the pain is getting to me again and bringing me down .....There has to be a reason and a cure.....
Sorry for the moan...
Nic glad your feeling better. Lovely photos too :)
Morgan great news on the relacting
Hi again Michelle good to see you back...
Buzzie been very hot here too in the high thirties past week and no sign of cooling
Well I am going to cry
-
 Teena! go to hospital. maybe they can give you something... or at least maybe work out whats wrong
-
Teena why dont u try either a dentist or a ear nose and throat specialist.. they may come up with something the doctors arent getting...
-
Morning!! Boy I am tired. I don't know why I can't sleep well at night.. Olivia woke at midnight.. Why can't she sleep through?? I know all babies are different but I want some sleep dammit
She woke up grumpy this morning. Was grumpy till she napped then has woken grumpy from her nap as well..
I am getting to the point that I might start expressing and getting Simon to do the occassional night feed. I would prbably still wake up but I can fall asleep agan easily if need be
-
Just had to come in with a quick brag.
Abbey can roll over !! Yesterday she was laying on the floor and she got onto her side. She's been doing that for a while now. I was watching and said to DP look, she's going to roll over so soon, and she did. LOL. She did it again last night and again this morning.
Let the motor skills begin hey.
I put a new pic of Abbey in my gallery, she is wearing her new funky knitted capri's that BG bought for her.
Hope everyone is having a great Sunday :D
-
those pants are great Trish- yay with the rolling.
