Forgot to mention, Ash is saying mum now yay! but he only says it when he cracks it :(
Lauren, yay for mum mum. I don't introduce my babies to water for a long time. Just a personal thing, and I don't think they really need it when bfing. So when is the big move, or did I miss you say when your going ?
Nic, sounds like you had a great walk. WOW at 3 hours. Hope the boys slept well for you afterwards.
Liz, poor Kayla with you starving her ;) It's ok, I am starving Abbey too. And I mean that in the nicest way. She is still having plenty of boob and I am getting better at giving her solids, well she is getting better at having them. She eats with enthusiasm and can easily finish off a jar of fruit. Not so well with the vegies though. She gags til she spews still with them. Poor girl.
I took Abbey to see Sex in the city on Thursday, it was just her, me, my gf and some guy in the theatre. Abbey did really well and even went to sleep. Was cute at a time the girls in the movie were laughing Abbey decided to squeal along with them.
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thankfully the weather here is decent today.
Noah got man of the match and the trophey yesterday at football. GO NOAH !!
Oh forgot to say Happy 7 months to Olivia.
trish - we decided to stay here a little bit longer, i need more TTC time. At least it give us a little more time to plan QLD better, but we still are very egar to get there. Mum really wants me to have another one too so shes happy to wait and give me some more time.
Oh wow, big call there hun. Well I sure do hope that Ashers dad is forthcoming with the baby making goods then :D
the 'baby making' part he's more than happy to help out with - Men! wat can i say... but his only issue atm is hes not my partner and wants to be but i dont see a point if im moving and its not like he makes any effort to see ash now so go figure!!
So sounds like you just need some sperm donation to me then. Get him drunk and steal some ;)
PML Trish if only it was that easy!!!!!!!! i offered him the baby bonus if he donated some to me but he was happy to DTD so figure if he makes me work for it too im not giving him a cent LOL
No don't pay for it. Then it's like using a man whore ;) Well, you may as well get some fun out of it too huni.
true true  i dont really mind, either way as long as i get another spunky bum like my Ashie :D
No I don't think so.. I just prefer to.. I just have the cup sitting there at meal times.. Milk is still her main food..
 you're funny.. The little buggers were full of energy right up until we got them into bed at 7:30 and even they were protesting.. I was exhausted by 1pm hahaha..
Well Olivia has started the seperation anxiety thing. I thought the other day when she wouldn't go to anyone but me or SImon it was cus of the noise and tht she was tired but she did ti again today. She wouldn't even smile at MIL and nanny always gets smiles.... Anyways she has just become clingy when out but less at home so its all good ;)
Poor Olivia last night.. When she woke at 2:30 for a feed. I changed her bum and she was shaking. I kept looking at her freaking out a little till I realised she was shivering. I didn't think it was that cold and her skin was warm.. I wrapped her in a blanky and fed her and she was fine... but tonight she can go in her sleeping bag thingy:)
Well I spose I better go be a mummy the miss is starting ti get herself tangled in her play gym why she can't just stay under the bolldy thing is beyond me
Well my baby dog has gone tonight, only cried for an hour so better than i thought. :(
He went to the perfect home, a lady who has an 8 yo boy and couldnt have any more children so she was looking for another baby to spoil! i was sooo lucky.
ahhh things we do for our babies ....... i feel some more crying coming on.., aahhhh
 I hope your Dog will be well looked after,,
Hi there, sorry I haven't been in in ages! We have just had heaps of sickies - Kyla was sick, then Gabe was sick with a temp and is still getting over it and now Kyla is sick again. Fun, fun, fun. So that has been my life lately.
I still haven't really started Gabe properly on solids either yet Liz, I didn't want to do anything different while he was under the weather and he seemed to be getting a funny tummy from things. So I started him today on pureed pear on the advice of the MCHN, as it is supposed to be least likely to be intolerated. He seemed to really enjoy it and has been ok all afternoon, so hopefully will be over night to.
Poor Kyla has also had a temp and what seems like a bit of the flu, or a throat infection like Gabe - only problem is that she makes it worse by refusing to take panadol or Nurofen. SHe is so stubborn and there is no way that we can get her to take any medicine.
Buzzie- Sorry about your Dog, how sad :(
Trish- Hope you are doing well
Nic- Gabe always manages to get himself tangled in the play gym too. Hope she stays nice and warm for you tonight.
of all the nights to sleep like crap Olivia chooses tonight... 2:49am and she is crying on the floor.. well not cryung but yelling at me to pick her up and I am cranky. First of all her and Jacob wouldn't go to sleep tonight. Well she did but jacob crying woke her so they were both up till nearly 9.
then she woke at 9:30 and I gave her panadol which is something I don't normally do but i thought she must be aching somewhere.. then seeing as Simon was getting home at 12 from work tonight I thought I would stay up thinking Olivia would sleep till at least 5 seeing how late she went to bed.. Well silly me.. I went to bed at 12 Simon got home at 1 I woke about 1:30 Olivia woke not long after so I have had an hours sleep since 6 yesterday morning and my head is swaying..
And TOmorrow well today now is Isaac's MRI so I can't stay at home o have a sleep in.. I have to be up and out the door in 5 and a bit hours!! AGGHH make her sleep....
Well she went to sleep at 3:30 and woke at 6.. *sigh* she is happy though.. Jacob was foul but seems to have settled down now...
Time for coffee then time to get dressed.. oh and Simon is foul.. oh joy
:cheer:HAPPY 6 MONTHS MY LITTLE MAN!!!!:cheer:
hhhmmmm still sad here. the house is so quiet..... :crying:
Hope everyones having a good day... so chilly here.. bbbrrrrr - we have serious teething here atm. ash has been upset for 3days straight and his gums are sooo swollen.. i think a tooth should pop up some time soon!
Hi all,
I tell you hwat, I'm ready to sell Ty on Ebay today. It's just been whing whinge whinge since he woke up- not even screaming but just little grunting whinging sounds. I think his teeth are hurting him, poor thing. But after reading Nic's post I am reminding myself not to feel so bad!!
Lauren- It's freezing here too. Air con is on for the first time this winter.
We bought a seconf hand walker for ten dollars. Ty is too short for it but like to sit and dangle his legs in there. Poor little bugger cracked himself in the head yesterday with a rattle and it came up in a big bump. Then MIL came round and tried to pull him around in his walker and bumped his nose on the toy bar *sigh*
But, speaking of the MIL, she is paying for Ty's baptism lunch at a resturant and a really cute white three piece suit for him. Happening in early August so I am excited :)
I've missed too many posts, can't remember what everyone said. Hope you are all doing well!! I'm going to enjoy the rest pf this sleep that Ty is having... been down for hour and a half (watch, the second I hit reply he'll be awake!!)
Lori Rae, wait hun, you can put Abbey on there with him. A bonus pack I think. Atleast your getting some sleep out of him. Abbey has had 2 2o minute naps since 6.30 am ! I give up trying to study today. It's just not happening.
Can i just say I am exhausted :(
First things first,, We have a tooth :D little sad but excited about it. I checked last night and her gum was just lumpy and checked this morning while were out and boom tooth...
Isaac did awesome at his MRI.. Laid still the whole time :D I am so proud
Simon dropped me and Jacob and Olivia at the shops and I got inside thought better change Olivia and feed her before I go shopping.. I stayed in the parents room for the next hour as she wouldn't stop vomiting :( She finally fell asleep so I thought better get the couple things I need then wait for Simon. I had no where to go so had no choice.. anyways I got into Big W looked at a couple things and Olivia woke and seemed fine. Smily ect then I thought I might give her a cuddle and she started chucking up again.. This time yellow (bile) I was getting so stressed :( No one came to ask if I needed help and jacob was getting into everything. I got her cleaned up (I was in the baby aisle) went outside rang simon who thankfully was on his way and went back to the parents room to clean her up some more. Someone finally asked if I was ok and I was by then...
We decided to come right home and see our Dr.. Got in the car drove a few blocks and she started chucking again.. Got to the Drs offered her a feed while I was waiting and now she is fine and asleep again.. Dr said she is fine... Might have been something to do with the rota virus vax..
Agghhh I am tired and feel all stressed .. and I was so looking forward to today.. I feel like crying ( I am sure that is tiredness) Jacob and Isaac are now watching the Fairies and I am going to try and get a doze in...
 Nic how horrible for you. its amazing how many ppl really dont give 2hoots about mums struggling with babies..
There were 2 mums in there with little babies the first time and in a way I could understand thier need to get out of there.. What if olivia had germs.. but i think I would still ask someone of they were ok,,
Forgot before.. happy 6 Months Ash
:hug::hug: For you and Olivia nic sounds like your day out was horrible, very impressed Isaac layed still for his MRI...:hug:
:dance:Way to go on the tooth as well
Thanks!! and here Iw as telling you last night I didn't want teeth yet.
I feel bad cus I didnt get to buy Isaac his treat for laying still.. We have promised him on Daddy's days off we will take him to town and he can pick someting out..
Awww Nic, how horrible for you huni. I hope Olivia is doing better now. Good boy Issac for being so still, what a champ. Yay on Olivia's tooth. Is that her first one ?
I was in the baby room one day when a similar thing happened to a girl in there. She was baby sitting. In the end she filled the sink up in there and was giving bub a bath. Mum and I both gave her a hand.
Happy 6 months to little Ash. OK, not so little. How about young Ash ;)
Abbey has her top 4 teeth moving down. They are sooooooo close. Her mouth is swollen so much too, poor bub. Has barely slept today, little brat. I was trying to study but it was not to be. Everytime I got her to sleep she would be awake 20 mins later.
Looks like I will be heading down south soon. Might get to catch up with some of you Vic girls :D
Olivia has been well all afternoon.. She is so tired poor baby.. on and off grizzly.. She was asleep but for once I woke her by yelling at the boys, but it worked out well cus she hadn't had a bath and only had summer clothes on
Well the boys are thier usual deep doo doo this evening. I am tired and grumpy and Simon is at work and as usual boys being PITA's Olivia is a little grumpy so might give a dose of panadol and feed and see how she goes
Oh Nic I can relate to the crappy nights sleep but at least my daytime wasn't as stressful as yours. I hope your little Olivia is feeling better tonight.
Trish, it would be great to catch up. What are you heading down this way for?
Well I have my fingers crossed for some sleep here tonight. Last night was the worst in ages. To be fair DH and I stayed up til midnight (so that was our fault) but then little Miss woke at 2:30, 4:30, 4:45, 5:00 - in the end I gave her a bottle as I just wanted sleep. Also the time she was asleep I was woken (at 3:30am!!!) by hammering!!!!! Not sure what was going on and don't really care, was just so angry at being woken.
Anyway I have my fingers crossed that tonight Olivia sleep better, although not holding out too much hope as she has been quiet grizzly lately. I think her top teeth are bothering her and she has a bit of a gooby nose poor bub.
fingers crossed we all get a good nights sleep..
Alicia I think broken sleep like that is way worse then staying awake for a large block...
Olivia was pretty grumpy tonight.. but a dose of panadol seemed to work and she went to bed just before 7..
Does anyone else get a case of the guilts when giving panadol? I hate giving it but I know it was needed. I also gave it last night and felt terrible afterwards...
ps I am not silly I know it is silly to feel guilty but can't help feeling that way
yep i do nic - but i feel bad giving ash food LOL i think his poor tummy having to do try even harder to poo when i dont even know if he really wants to food or not.. :wall: He loves the nurofen tho. its a shame teething last so long and we have to keep giving it to them...
I am feeling th same way about food too. I asked the Dr yesterday what I should so seeing as she isn't really that interested. he said to keep perservereing with it...
I gave another dose of panadol this morning cus she has been screaming since 8.. *sigh* I sat down here cus she finaly went to sleep and DAMN it she is awake.. I am at a loss as to what to do with her today..
On a good note she slept well last night. 6:45 till 3 ish. back in bed at 4 till 6:30.. and for a change I was smart and went to bed early.. I was asleep by 9 :D Bloooooody Jacob woke me at 12 though.. tonight I am going to wear ear plugs or something to bed and I will get Simon to wake me only if Olivia wakes...
I am so grumpy now and its silly. Of course I should be happy that even though Olivia is awake she is happy but for goodness sakes she has been screaming and I mean screaming for the last hour and finally she fell asleep only to wake in less then 3 minutes and now is happy playing on the floor.. GRR
im surprised doctors are so egar to get kids to eat.. i would of thought if they werent interested they werent ready. Why rush, they will eat eventually right????
Does anyone have any tips on how to get ash to not feed so much at night, i heard your AF comes back quicker when the night feeds stop. i dont want him to stop but he is feeding alot. Would eating solids make him feel more full and not want boobies????
Do you mean as in overnight?
Personally don't feed him lol.. I don't know what else. I am unsure about the solids thing. Oit hasn't changed Olivias sleep habit the only difference is she is more setled during the day...
and lucky you want my AF?? 7 days on 7 days off at the moment. hey just take one of the weeks
PML - i dont really want it but i really want to know where my cycle is at atm.
Hi all,
Nic *hug* you poor thing. I feel guilty about the Panandol, too, I'll try everything and anything else before that.
Lauren- They're so big on food coz apparentley if you start them on solids too late it delays speech developement. But I don't really think that makes sense :dunno: With the night feeds- hah!! I wish I had an answer for that!! But I do know that they say if you can go without feeding for four hours each day you should get AF back. Maybe try giving Ash some expressed milk at night, or a bottle of water, so you get some hormonal time off?
Trish- Package deal, good idea. What do you think we'd get for them? Enough for a holiday, or at the very least a shopping spree?
*sigh*Ty is cracking it. Better go.
thanks lori, i might seriously start spreading feeding out i think!
Ash was weighed today, 10.2kg whoohoo. :) go chubba bubba!
nothing interesting happening here... have a great arvo everyone :)
WOOHOO my tickets are booked. Hope some of you Vic girls are free :D Guess who's coming to Victoria
Sorry girls too excited to concentrate to do a proper post :D
Yay Trish, im definatly up for meeting.. when are you coming and where u staying?
I will be coming down on Fri 11th July and leaving on Tues 15th. I am staying in Frankston, whereever that is :D at Relle's house. We are trying to organise a dinner on the Sat night. Not sure where everyone is situated but would be great to catch up.
oh awesome your about 15-20mins from me.. all the other girls are on the other side of the city, takes me about an hour to get to them. carrie is not far from me also actually.
Hmmm according to googlemaps it would take me 1 hour 11 minutes to get to Frankston, but I know it takes longer than that in reality. But would love to catch up Trish. How about all meeting for lunch somewhere more central? Or is all you time here accounted for?
Woah Ash really is getting big Lauren! So has TTC no 2 begun? Only asking because I saw the babydust in your ticker.
Nice day here. My sister came down with my 2 month old niece and we walked to the shops and had lunch and a look around. Olivia was so cute and tried to give her cousin, Rose, her toy giraffe but Rose wasn't really impressed and started crying  Poor Olivia couldn't work her out.
Alicia, I am staying at Relle's house, one of the other girls here on BB. I won't have a car and have no idea on how to get anywhere so it will be all really up to her I guess. Only thing we really have planned just yet is trying to do dinner on the Sat night.
Lauren, that would be great if we could catch up. I'd love to meet my future son in law ;)
Carrie, I am so hoping you can make it to huni :)
