Lori - OMG at the possible pregnancy! If you are pregnant, it'll be a similar age gap to what I have now (hmm.. maybe a month or so closer). Just remember there's anohter 8 months until the baby would arrive.. the older baby changes a LOT in that time :)

I'll join the solids giving bellyache at night club. It's the only thing I can think of. I even gave her nurofen last night thinking it's her teeth, but it did occur to me while she was screaming for over an hour this morning (3am!!) that it was probably the apple. Not sure what to do really. Tempted to drop the solids for a couple of days and see if it's that. But she's just got the hang of it and quite enjoys the whole process (eagerly opens her mouth for the food now).

Why does it only give bellyache at night tho? She's happy as larry through the day & evening, but come early hours of morning, she's wriggling around in pain!

I have the biggest bags under my eyes... need sleep!

A girlfriend of mine is getting married in a couple of weeks and last night was supposed to be her girls night, but everyone bailed coz they're sick! So it was just 3 of us, and we ended up hanging out here. LOL. DH wasn't feeling great either, so he didn't go out (he was supposed to take Tallon with him) but he and Tallon managed to keep themselves amused in the office while us girls gorged ourselves on fruit dipped in a chocolate fondu. LOL. We watched 27 Dresses too. Very tame girls night! LOL.

Well, I'm gonna cook up some vegies for Kayla today. Perhaps its just the apple upsetting her tummy. But then I remember having a couple of shocking weeks with Tallon around this age and having my eyes hanging out my head. This too shall pass.... but WHEN???? LOL *sigh*

ETA: Actually, just did the math - the age gap would be quite a bit bigger that mine. Tallon was 19 mths when Kayla was born :)

Good Luck with the veges.. I am starting to get really frustrated about solids.. Last night after many attempts I finally got Olivia to eat 2 tablespoons of vanilla custard and I hate giving her that. I would prefer she ate veges or something .. but i want her to eat as over the last couple days I have noticed if she eats more at night she actually does sleep better.. and water. if I give her water before her last booby feed at night she also sleeps longer...

I am going now to try and get her to eat some veges for a mid morning snack..

oh and I am cold.. it is overcast and cool today..

liz - Ash was the same when i first gave him farex, i fed him breakfast and was fine during the day then at night he was screaming and kept lifting his knees up so i knew his tummy was hurting. i gave it a break for a while and he was fine starting again later on. i think theres no harm in giving them a break. Ive up'd the amount of custard i give him and hes a little squirmish but ok, ill start a different food on monday.

I laughed out loud in a HA kind of way when i read this.. We are lucky to get a tablespoon of food in ALL day!

Today and yesterday i haven't bothered trying at morning time and i was going to do lunch today but though pfft so I am oin the proicess of steaming her veges now :)

Now I am doing something different.. I completely forgot that I steamed the boys veges and here I am boiling Olivias.. Maybe thats why she won't eat them?? the boys didn't like thiers boiled either.. yes my kids are fussy.. no bulk foods made here. With all the boys it had to be made fresh or they wouldn't eat it so I am just doing the same for miss O..

i have got dinner all cooked.. It is just in the oven staying warm.. I should post the recipe cus by golly its delish and its a huge hit with the family :)

well the youngest precious one is requiring some attention so off to see if the veges are done..

oh and yay Panadol alone worked today for isaacs dizzy spell (woo) Littl excited he didn't need a pill today

realised I didn't help you though Lauren :lol: I would do breakfast then dinner and add lunch later on :)

Well the "princess" has eaten around a tablespoon again.. this time I gave her Sweet tata, carrot (new) and Zuccini (new) and when she kept turning her nose up at that I got a jar of pear and nana.. she turned her nose up at that too :rolleyes: but we got a tablespoon of it all up into her. she clamps her mouth shut tight.. i was naughty and tricked her tonight :lol: I waited for her lift her cup of water to her mouth and when her mouth opened I slipped in the spoon hehehe. yeh she wasn't impressed

Need to ask anyone who has a jumping joey or jolly jumper, what weight is the max? i brought mine off ebay and it didnt come with instructions, now Ash is 10kg im unsure how long hes allowed to be on it.. ??????????????

We just got one Lauren. I think the box said 15kg? It was that or 18kg, I'll try to find the instructions later for you, but Ash is not too big for it yet :-)

you poor thing nic. last night was fairly ordinary here too, but not as bad as some. sigh.

any ideas on how old before they can put their own dummy back in? we were going to get rid of it, but I think we've done the worst now. It'll prob be more work getting rid of it than just living with it til she does it herself & hopefully I won't have to get up so much at night.

we had a breakthru here this week. miss has finally decided to eat. woohoo :dance: some pieces of rockmelon, but only if i can feed myself mummy... I don't care as long as she eats something.

no crawling action here, just lots of rolling, boy that's making me realise life's going to get a whole lot busier soon.

way clingy too. mummy can't do anything much. tiring, but kind of nice to be wanted by someone so much.!

How is everyone? I went to work today and dh took TY out and about and he didn't cry once all day!! Grrr.. that would be right. But the brown sugar worked and he's been pooing all day.
Lauren- yay!! You will love the Jolly Jumper, it's great. Not sure if it is the fruit upsetting his belly. I did have a theory that it was the multigrain breakfast stuff I've been feeding him. I'm going to wait another day or two and then try it again and see how it goes.
Jus- I may just take you up on that crying on the shoulder offer. Still no AF as yet. Praying, praying... off to the chemist tomorow. Good girl Ella for eating!! Ty loves his rockmelon too.
Nic- Nine and a half hours!! I am so so so jealous. You lucky thing. Yep I'm still BF, I haven't tried the Infants Friend. Might look into that.
Liz- Yep, not much of a gap. If I am pregnant Ty will be 14 months old when the new baby is born. Oh. My. God. I was hoping for at least two years gap, maybe three. Or whenever Ty started sleeping through, whichever happened first ;)

oh I was a norty mummy tonight.. I brought Olivia over to the table while we were eating tonight and she was in her high chair.. anyways she wasmunching away on her spoon and drinking now and then from her cup but was watching us intently while we ate.. so I dipped her spoon into my plate of food and handed it to her.. the little bugger couldn't get enough :lol: Mayube she doesn't like that baby food nonsense .. it wasn't much just coated the spoon but boy she liked it.. :pray: I don't pay for it later lol...

Well the little Miss was asleep but as soon as I put her to bed she woke up so she is now playing on the floor.. I don't mind.. The later she goes to bed hopefully the later she wakes for a feed

Sorry Lauren, the weight limit was only on the box, not in the pamphlet or instructions - how stupid! I remember that it was at least 15kg though because I was only willing to buy one if Olivia was going to get plenty of use out of it. Maybe look on the net to try to find out?

Hi girls, I just thought I would check in on what the other Dec babies are up too, and it seems they are all doing similar things to Liam. He is a mch happier baby, off his reflux meds and catterpillar crawling around the house.

Nic- With the shivering thing, Tori used to do that and it took us ages to figure out what it was, but she used to do it when she was about/doing/just done(not sure excatly which) a wee, she still does it sometimes too. Maybe Olivia is the same.

Anyway I just thought I would poke my head in, I often drop by to read, but run out of time to post. I start back teaching next term 2 days a week, so a bit nervous about that, but really excited too.

didn't think of that about the shivering.. I am usually changing her nappy or in the middle or=f it so maybe she wants to wee but won't without a nappy on.. (long shot lol)

2 nights in a row 2 nights in a row WWOOOT.. 11 till 5 but GRR.. Ethans had set his phone alarm for sme unknown reason and it went off at 3am.. but Olivia slept all night *yay* and then she went back to sleep till 8

Poor Isaac is very unwell. Its only day 2 but I haven't seen him this bad on day 2 before usually day 4 he is like this. :( he is panadoled and Pilled up already :( I hope the MRI shows something that can be easily fixed

Morning girls!

Well, another wakeful night, but at least we didn't have long periods of screaming. I didn't give Kayla any solids yesterday, so I gave her tummy a little break. I'm still not really sure why she's crying at night tho. At least last night I only had to feed her a couple of times, the other couple of times she woke I was able to just put her dummy back in and stroke her face a few times. I do remember falling asleep while stroking her face and my hand flopping onto her head tho LOL. It was nice not having to actually wake up much tho ;)

Nic - hope Isaac feels better soon. Poor kid.

Well, I'm going to try and be productive today. Need to do some banking and things (since it's 30 June) and catch up on billing for hosting for the month so it's all neat & tidy for the end of the year.

Oh Liz you just reminded me it's June 30... tax time :doh: We've been having some shocking nights here too. Ty used to just wake up, feed and then go straight back to sleep and I could totally handle that but these days he just wakes up and crys and won't feed. I don't know what his problem is either :(
Nic- Yay on the sleep, you lucky thing. pity about the phone alarm! Poor Issac, I hope he feels better soon. What did you guys have for dinner that olivia found so appealing? Sure it can't hurt her, whatever it was.
Dh is bringing a pregnancy test home for me. Crossing my fingers and toes and legs and everything else. Will get on here and let you all know how we go...

I just found out one of my friends trying to get pregnant isnt, she was so upset.. its so hard having a baby around someone trying to have one.. oh well theres always next month.. :rolleyes:

Speaking of babies...We just got approved for a house today, so mum is moving this weekend and im staying here till 15th august, i told my ex, so bring on the TTC!!! woohoo LOL Now i just need my body to want it as much as my head!

Buzzie - I know what you mean with having a bub around someone TTC. I have a friend who's going through IVF at the moment, and I sooooo hope this round works for her. I've already been pregnant once whilst they've been trying, and IF (that's a big IF) I can talk DH into #3, I'll feel so bad if I fall before her again. I have such a beautiful clockwork cycle (as opposed to no cycle at all before we tried for DS!) when I'm breastfeeding, so I'm hopeful it will be quick if we do try again. Mind you, DH & I need to find some 'alone' time if we're ever to have another baby LOL.

Tell me about it.... Its hard enough trying to get my body to do the right thing little own trying to dtd. :wall:
im not in a rush atm now i have 12 months to stay in melb, my GP said 80% of couples will fall pregnant in the first yr with regular TTC so im out of that bracket lol

I was the same. i had to apologise to everyone when i had pms.. i used to get it shockin! have you considered getting and IUD ? my mum got one and never gets her period again. its only recomened for women not wanting any more kids.. but i dont know if thats an issue for you LOL

I am not sure what the Dr would say if i went in there asking for an IUD lol.. I got my tubes tied so I woldn't have to worry about any of that sort of thing.. so it kinda drives me nuts that I got my tubes done so we could go on our merry way (tmi) having all the nookie in the world and no worries about babies and now we are flat out DTD thanks to Af.. :lol: ironic or what??

Hi Everyone,

We are almost in our house. There is only 2 rooms to that need to be painted and then the floors have to be cleaned. Boy it is hard getting anything done with Loren. She is definately a baby that does not like to be left to self occupy. I have worked out a system though. I have set up a play pen, a walker, the high chair and a rocker and I shuffle her from one activity to the next. In between I get some moving jobs done.

Loren is full crawling now. She is trying to pull herself up on furniture but unfortunately she has fallen twice, one fall has resulted in a little bruise on her head. I felt like such a bad mummy. She has 2 teeth too. This may explain why she was waking every hour during the night screaming and she wanted mummy all the time. Oh and she is doing teething poos...about 6 per day.

She is also clapping!!! Very cute.

Nic - I have been having heaps of pms and low libido problems lately. I had the same issue afer I had Sara. I have started taking Vitex and vitamin B to help sort my cycles out. I am hoping this helps. It better or else I might end up single!!!!!

Well I finally worked out how to get Olivia to eat.. Little Miss fuss pot wishes to feed herself. Everytime I tak the spoon to her mouth she clamps shut and wiggles so I can't even get it near her. I handed her the spoon and she just puts it right in her mouth. Then i say pass the spoon to mummy and she does and then I show her the spoon with more food and she gets all excited.. She actually ate really well tonight.. She had a spoonful of veges and then about a tablespoon of banana :)

I am going to try 2 meals tmorrow so breaky and then dinner..

Nic - Loren does the whole clamp the mouth shut and shake the head thing. I now give her a spoon with food on it and she sucks it. Meanwhile I also have a spoon and sneak in a few spoons when she opens her mouth.

little Rat woke up bout 40 mins ago.. she heard me telling Dh I was going to bed :rolleyes: She is in bed now but not sure if she is going to sleep...
