Right!! who stole my sleep???
I want it returned by tonight ok
PML nic! must of been me, i cant believe i actually 'fell' asleep last night. I had my first deep sleep in months, i woke up at 1am going omg it cant be!! lol Ash slept like a dream, was down about 6.30pm and that was him for the night till 7.30am this morning.. (with a couple feeds inbetween - but no hassels)
im so over this cold!!! brrrrrr i just got Ash going well in his own bed, but is sooo bloody cold ive got him back in bed with me. which i dont mind, at least i can keep him nice and warm! :D
Keep warm everyone.... hope others got some sleep too!
oh and on a quick note, TTC #2 is on a massivle hold off. I had a huge fight with my ex yesterday and i told him where to stick it - reminded me why we broke up in the first place! gggrrrrrr bloody men! sorry vent over. I decided i need to settle down in a proper relationship with someone who actually wants to be with Ash! i just have to get over my issues of having babies with another guy. - Guess i only have myself to blame there....
So It WAS YOU!!!!! *points finger accusingly*
 I am so impressed at the sleep you got though woo.. glad someone go some decent sleep lol..
What sort of temps do you have down there now? I am finding 10 this morning cold lol
ooh nic ill have your 10 then.. its been 3-4deg here!! this morning everything is foged and barely can see out the window, feels like -10 ! im more up in the hills in melb, so im coping it bad!
NOOOOOOO I don't want it that cold down there. I am stamping my feet. Please can you turn up the heat for me down there Lauren. It's freaking cold here too, only getting to 13 out here today. Damn and I have to go out in it.
oh trish im guesing frankston would be quite nippy too, being at the beach.. but fingers crossed it improves for the weekend! the days arent toooooo bad.
Gonna be like staying near the beach in England. LOL. Minus the accents that is.
ahh nothing like a frosty english weather, i went to england and it was chucking it down! what a drag. LOL im sure itll be great to see everyone anyways, seems u got heaps of ppl coming! All the little bubs are gonna be rugged up! - speaking of which are we still catching up with guys for here or u only going to have time to do the frankston lunch and dinner? ive only got one baby bolt in my car, so ill have to get another one if im still picking u up...
Alicia, is it too far for you to come to frankston?
Yeah - they're expecting snow up the blue mountains the next few days, and it's gonna be a cooooold wind coming off it. brrrrrr. I was gonna take Tallon to the park today but dunno if I will hehe.
Well, I've discovered where the mouse is 'living'. In our sofabed!! Tallon pulled off one of the cushions.. and there's poo on the mattress underneath. Argh. So today is going to be spent cleaning!! I'm gonna pull the whole thing out.. vacuum everywhere and I'm gonna have to think about how to clean it! I'm thinking of making up a solution of teatree oil and peppermint oil in water and cleaning with that.. apparently mice don't like peppermint, and teatree will help kill germs. We made the dodgy mousetrap last night LOL.. no mouse :( I'll try again later today when the place is clean.. we didn't do last nights dishes so there were probably too many other goodies for it to go and eat instead of our bait. I've also now discovered a couple of spots of poo on our other lounge - this mouse now has to go!! If I can't do it humanely, well... we'll have to get a normal trap and 'snap!' I just don't wanna have to deal with the body LOL.
We had a couple of 4hr blocks of sleep last night which was nice. i took a risk and gave her dinner last night (about 7pm! LOL) but she wasn't too bad. She was crying a lot at about 11pm, and fell asleep on her tummy over my legs, and when i put her down in the cot she slept, so dunno what that was about. *shrug*
Well.. I've finished my brekky...I better get cleaning! ugh.
Hello all
Nic it wasn't me who stole your sleep, I wish I had been able too Olivia is such a right pain for sleeping lately...
Last night I was SO tired that I incorperated her crying into my dream and it took ten minutes or more for me to actually realise it was Olivia screaming (bad mummy) I went to bed really early for me and it was about 4am when she woke up (i think) eyes wouldnt focus  We went abck to sleep in our bed and she woke up at 6.45 again so now she on the floor playing under her mat...
What do you think of Nicole's baby girls name??? Sunday Rose I think is it not sure of the exact spelling What was she thinking poor girl....
Nope wasnt me stealing sleep...someone stole mine too arghhhhh! and it was 5 degrees here at 7am :( my fingers were so sore hanging out the washing.
TeenaRose - i dont know what Nicole was thinking but the full name just does not work at all...poor girl she is going to get teased
Liz - hope you get the little mouse.
Have a good day ladies
yeh the name is a little different. but on another thread on here they said if they shorten it to Sunny Rose then thats ok lol.. Sunday is an ok name but not with Rose.. but then the child won't always be called by her full name either.. kwim?
ok I know who stole my sleep.. it was all of you (except you Teena ) i just shared it round is all
Actually in all seriousness I am curious about something.. monday night Olivia ate some potato and sweet potato off my plate.. and Tuesday night she is awake with belly aches.. think there is a connection? or just a coincidence??
Teena:" not a bad mummy at all.. I do that most nights  I did that this morning actually. Luckily Simon was already home from work and came in and got her
EEk on the mouse in house .. I hope you guys find it.. and yeh I would be going the inhumane way all the way.. then I would get Simon to deal with the body
Hi all,
It is sooo cold. We have the ac on during the day for the first time this year. I don't feel the cold a lot but.. brrr. Dh says it's snowing in the mountains.
Nic- I'm totally innocent on the sleep stealing. Ty was in our bed by 10pm and awake every hour or so after that. I am resigned to living in the land of the sleep deprived for the next few years at least. Dealing with it *sigh*. :dunno: about the belly aches.
Teens- I've done that a few times myself. Don't feel bad. Once I dreamt I was at mothers group, saying to one of the other girls "Your baby is crying". Woke up and it was Ty.
Liz- Ewww. Mouse poo. Best of luck to you!!
Went and saw my boss today. He's agrred to put me on casual and let me work one day a week. Yay!!
Ty is overtired (left him with MIL today so he didn't get a sleep this morning) and just can't get him to sleep. Anyone else's bubs really light sleepers at the moment? I have to creep away from the cot after I put Ty down at the moment.
Mouse update: I have cleaned and disinfected both lounges out the back. Can't believe the mess this mouse can make in such a short time! It's not long ago that I did a thorough clean & vacuum but under all the cushions and things were bits of food and poo! There was also a teething rusk under one lounge that had been chomped away on. Either DS dropped it down there, or the mouse dragged it there! LOL.
Anyway, the place is spotless, well.. I haven't mopped yet.. will do that tonight when DS is in bed. So hopefully the mouse will find our little trap when it goes on its little forages tonight.
Oh - one good thing came out of it.. I finally found the missing back door keys! When I opened up the sofa bed fully, they were down the side there.. so they hadn't fallen through to the floor - they were stuck! Yay!
Lori - yeah, how cold is it!! There must be snow up those mountains.. I'm at the foot of the mountains and it's freezing!
 on the cold weather.. I am feeling the cold here so I can't imagine how cold it is with actual snow
woo on mouse cleaning Liz.. at least cleaning got done  if only I could be forced into doing a major one.. Dmn I wish I could hire someone to come in and do all the nitty gritty jobs.. and sort out mine and the kids clothes.. you know all those jobs..
pretty decent day here. Olivia had 2 good sleeps.. 2 hours in the mornin and almost 2 hours in the afternoon.. We were so cold at 1pm we went for a walk to the park.. An hour in the sun that finally appeared made us toasty and warm.. Its meant to get down to 6 here tonight BRR
Question for the day,... Olivia won't sleep at night till she in her bag.. but now she has started it for her day sleeps. I managed to get her to go down this afterrnoon without it but this morning she wasn't going to have a bar of sleeping till she went back in it.. Luckily it was cold enough for her to do so.. Should I *force* her to go down without it during the day or get a cotton one made up as some days even in winter it is definitly not cool enough for one??
Hmmm Nic that is a good guestion. Will she stand being wrapped lightly instead? Ty doesn't have a wrap at night anymore, he has the bag instead, but I still wrap him loosely during the day. Sleeping bags are so expensive. Could you remove more of her underclothes and still put the bag on? Might be a bit of a pain in the bum. (It makes me feel so good when you asks questions. I'm like- Yay! Nic has 4 kids and still has questions about this baby thing! there are no experts!)
Liz- lol at the keys. I lost mine once that way- took mw six months to find them again
 I always have questions.. and now Olivia is so darn different from the boys I have even more
I will try the wrapping but last time I tried (newborn) she wasn't having any of it
I am mental.. Neice is here tonight (yay she was allowed to come) but omg... I had to send them to bed.. I felt like such a meanie. but I told them Olivia would not sleep if the house was so chaotic..
I was going to put Jacob on my bed and let isaac, Ethan and neice watch a movie in jakes room (tv in there ) but they wouldn't stop running and screaming... I got Jake and Isaac asleep and now Olivia and niece who is almost 8 and Ethan almost 9 are talk talk talk talk.. Better then the jumping off the bed I just got mad at them for
oh and in case I don't come back tonight  I am off to mums tomorrow.. Party for Ethans birthday :) then Fri and Sat night at a 40th for simons aunt.. then home Sunday and eeek we are camping and its cold BBRR
Hey Nic what size is Olivia wearing as i have a lightweight cotton sleepbag thats not being used - its a large 00 - if you are interested PM/email
Just emailed ya :)
Just a quick woohoo - we had a 7pm - 5am sleep
I so stoked as i was no looking forward to having to get out of bed in that horrid cold.
PPPFFTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
But I am glad somebody got some sleep
I can't be greedy and have it forever now can I
as you can tell we had a pretty bad night... and its 5 degrees here BBRRR
Well, we had our usual night of waking every few hours for feeds. Not too bad, coz she resettled very quickly.
Tallon came into our bed at 1 last night. But this morning he woke up crying, and he felt quite hot, he had a bit of a gaggy vomit (not full on) and was soooo clingy and lethargic. He just wasn't moving, and leaning on me. I asked him to lie down next to mummy so i could feed Kayla, and he did.. and he just didn't move! He was soooo drowsy. He looked like he'd drifted off to sleep so I tried to sneak out to go to the loo.. but he was still half awake, so i told him I was just going to the loo and I'll come straight back, and he said a very drowsy "nooo" but he didn't move an inch! Normally he'd cry and carry on and follow me, but nothing, and he was still lying on my pillow when I got back! I can tell you I was starting to get worried. But then he asked to watch the wiggles, and has perked up a bit, we're sitting here drinking chamomile tea together lol. He hasn't asked for any food either which is sooooo not like him. You experienced mums.. when are you concerned about how sick they are and take them to the dr? (I can't be bothered starting a new thread.. thought you girls would know enough ;) )
Well, I 'm actually sitting here enjoying my very clean house LOL. It feels lovely to know it's clean even in the nooks & crannies of the lounges and things :) I find it hard to keep on top of the thorough cleaning. Now I've just got to keep going with the venetian blinds (some of them are mouldy!!) so I'm doing one room at a time coz its a fiddly job. There's about 3 blinds & windows that are mouldy in this damp weather (seems to be the ones hidden behind net curtains).. the others just need a good dusting & wipe down.
OK, off to put the first load of washing on for the day. It's cold here too.. so I'm just gonna hang it all up inside (make my house untidy! :( )
Hi all,
Nic- Hope you have an awesome weekend, sounds like it will be a busy one. I don't envy you camping in this weather but. I'm a creature comforts person- a big wuss when it comes to this camping thing, I like my air con and doona :)
Morgan- Aaaaah don't tell me. We had the usual three hourly feeds
Liz- I hear ya on the washing. My fingers nearly fell off hanging ours out this morning. I'm still FlyLadying my house- it's kitchen week so today the oven and the window is going to get a clean. Next 'cycle' I'm going to concentrate on the blinds- it's bizzare how dirty they get when noone really touches them. Hope Tallon is ok- poor little darling doesn't sound very well!
We are definately having a stay at home day- it's just too cold and miserable to go out and I think Ty's still contagious for another day or two. I seem to be getting heaps done but, only cause Ty is having four naps a day. Only for half hour each but hey, I'll take what I can get...
I looked at flylady a few years ago, but all the bleaching put me off lol. I did like the 15min thing each day tho.. its amazing what can be done in 15mins. Maybe I should look at it again.
Ah, I don't bother with the bleaching. Just keeps me on my toes- instead of looking around and going 'oh gosh the house is a mess, where do i start?' then cleaning one room to within an inch of it's life and the rest of the house still being filthy, i just do a little in each room every day then leave it. makes me feel good :)
LOL I just joined it. Coz I am in Chaos! Freak out whenever the doorbell rings lol. Yeah I'll be doing my enjo thing - not touching chemicals except for the oven etc. God I hope its not oven day any time soon! can you tell I lack motivation? My trouble is I clean the entire house, and its spotless (well.. not necessarily thoroughly) but then within a day every room is back to how it was :(
I think the oven gets neglected coz I cant work it around the kids. I dont want them breathing the fumes. I was bad and influenced a friend of mine telling her to just clean the oven door.. makes it look clean! LOL. Now she doesnt do her oven properly LOL.
Anyway - this is a bit off topic of our bubs! :) Think I saw flylady threads around here somewhere, tho dunno if I can bothered joining them.
Liz - I hope Tallon is feeling better, i find if Alex is uninterested in food then he is not well and within 24hrs the bug is more obvious. i would only go to the Drs if he has green snot, tugging at his ear, vomiting frequently, noticeably less urine output etc if he's just listless and tired id keep him at home & just monitor him
Well i think i dont want Vicky sleeping all night she has been the grumpiest bub today and so unsettled, i get her off to sleep pop her in the cot & 5 mins later shes awake smiling at me and kicking around, 20 mins later back to sleep and then 5 mins awake again :cryinglaugh::wall: Well i suppose we cant have it both ways *sigh*
Nic - have a great weekend.
Well, I thought Tallon had perked up a bit. We sat & watched wiggles and drank some tea :) and then he had 2 pieces of toast (I was worried it was too much.. but he was ok). Then he helped me around the house a bit, putting washing on, making beds & stuff, but when we sat down to have something to eat (scrambled eggs - classic 'sick' food LOL) he just looked so dazed and ILL. I thought he was gonna chuck, but he was ok. He was upset that he couldn't eat his food, poor little man, think he wanted it but just couldnt' do it. So I took his temp, and it's up to nearly 39, so I gave him some nurofen and he happily took it and went to bed. last time he did this he came down with a cold/flu type thing and a cough. He probably picked it up from someone at the party on Monday (3 days ago!). LOL - I can always look 3 days before he gets sick and pinpoint where he would have got it from.
It's times like this I wish he was still breastfed. I'm almost tempted to pump some milk for him.. but I'm a bit too lazy :) notice the 'almost' tempted. LOL.
Morning all! Gosh it's quiet here without Nic! LOL. And Trish - you still having puta problems? or have you gone to Melbourne already?
Well, our night wasn't fantastic.. Kayla woke every couple of hours. Settled quickly again after a feed, but still.. broken sleep. Tallon's woken up with a soaring temp again this morning, he's crashed in my bed after having some Nurofen. It's freezing cold and windy today, but I'm going to have to take him out to get a few things.. argh. Times like this I really miss my mum :( I've got a couple of friends I can call on, but I don't want them to get whatever he's coming down with. So I'll just have to rug him up and take him with me. I've got Kayla's 6 mth check on Monday, and then her late 6mth needles on Tuesday... Tallon will probably have the full-blown cold/flu or whatever he's getting by then. Argh. What a pain.
i think Trish leaves today....
Sorry gals, Yes still having puter problems. Everything is in one paragraph and I hate it.Yes I leave for Victoria today !!!!!!!!!!!!! Lauren can't wait to catch up with you and Ash.Did I end up giving you my new mobile number ? Not 100 % sure.See you all when I get back :D
no havent got it, i think its ur old one i have. What time is everyone catching up on sunday?????
Have a great time Trish!
Hi all,
Trish- Have a good time in Melbourne, hope you don't freeze too much down there.
Liz- poor Tallon :( And I am feeling for you next week already- Kayla might be grumpy after her needles and Tallon might be sick, so you might have your hands full!!
It is quiet in here without Nic isn't it? :) Ty is having a nap, I've already been for my walk with Jus, and the house is clean. wow!! I am on top of things today. Only prob is I have to go and do the grocercies. Leant my BabyBjorn to a friend the other day, told her I need it back this morning to go shopping, and just ran into her at the bus stop using it. Grrr. And she had it all slung up over one shoulder too, I hope she doesn't break it, those things are damn expensive. I have the ring sling but I always worry taking Ty shopping in that one- he sits kangaroo style now and I worry he'll tip himslef out. Ahh, the trials of motherhood ;)
Well, he's awake, that didn't last long....
Hi all,
so sorry to hear Tallon is sick & then you'll have needles too for Kayla :(. Have to confess I haven't had Ella's needles done yet. holding off on it, and now she's not well, so it will have to wait... I don't mind much, I'm going to hold off all of them. I can't complain about her not being well, because even tho I obviously would prefer she was well, she's sleeping like nothing else in the day time - like Ty. So this is what it's like!!! Sadly, we're still up at night.
Unlike Lori I'm having a lazy day & am wearing trackies & watching telly.
Keep thinking about signing up to flylady... can't be bothered cleaning much lately, you clean beans are putting me to shame.
Hey Lori, you should have said about the baby bjorn, you could've borrowed mine for the shopping. btw, Aldi baby seat trolleys are good cos baby is nearly upright. ella loved it (better than woolies which was for tiny babies).
ps. altho I did clean our downstairs loo & clean the benches the other day. the pride from that will keep me going for a month... he he h
hey ... forgot to say welcome to mellie & ryley...
and not so important, laughed out loud at the poor little mouse & the encyclopedia.
happy friday arvo all
oh no Jus i must of missed the mouse with the book story, i dont think i want to know.. LOL
Ash was watching wiggles this morning and was singing to them!!! was sooo cute! i got a great photo of it. hehe
I brought some wiggles material from spotlight today, im gonna make him a quilt for his cot and a bumper. :) Omg i so needed the wiggles yesterday, i took ash to see mum at the new house - an hour away. i know i had it coming. and he SCREAMED all the way home and i was pulling my hair out, so i got home fed him and put wiggles on and as soon as he sat down he was back dancing and loving it. i soo needed to see some crazyness on tv to make me feel better about myself.
Anyone got the number for Wiggles Anonymous ?.......... i think i need help LOL
LOL Lauren. Wiggles has been a bit of a lifesaver here lately too (with DS tho, not DD). I've been able to shower by myself! Bliss! And - believe it or not, I'm starting to like Sam! We returned one DVD and got out another one, and yeah.. he grows on ya. hehe.
Jus - don't worry, I'm not a clean bean. LOL. It does help that I did one massive clean up coz of that darn mouse, so I'm a bit more inspired with Flylady to keep on top of it. I'm doing well actually :) I just worked on one hotspot - the end of our kitchen bench. it's been a dumping ground since forever.. so I cleaned it up (most of it ended up in the bin actually.. shows how often it's actually checked) and my bench is clear! My other hotspot - well.. that's an entire room.. our office. I think I'm gonna need some serious flying lessons to tackle that one LOL. Altho i like the idea of just clearing a path through it each day.. doesn't take long, and apparently before you know it, you've cleaned up the room! And I'm keeping on top of the kitchen. I find a clean kitchen has a flowon effect.. it makes me do other areas as well hehe. Oh - I also cleaned out my bathroom drawer while DS was in the bath (making use of my time! LOL) and omg - most of that ended up in the bin too! Soooo nice to have a tidy drawer now tho.. no more rummaging for my lipstick or deodorant! LOL.
OK, you're inspiring me... I'm aiming for shiny sink, so maybe it will flow on. problem is the whole house is a hotspot... It took me a month to clear the dining table, and now it's covered again. Will try again! LOL. Starting tomorrow. he he he. today was lazy day.
I haven't tried wiggles yet for dd, but we have tried Baby Einstein (got Baby Galileo - DH's choice - he loves astronomy) & she loved it. I was surprised cos I'd tried another baby dvd which she wasn't interested in at all! I put her in the playpen, and she watched TV & played with an empty coke bottle! Mother of the Year or what???
Ella must be getting better cos she wouldn't sleep much this arvo. it's that or the fact I broke out & ate some chocolate. Totally glad I am breastfeeding her, but can't wait til the day I can eat whatever I want.... maybe in another year or so.
i can't remember who had the encyclopedia story, but I did laugh hard! It's a few pages back.
Oh well, should go get something ready for dinner. DD happily playing with that coke bottle again, better take my chance. Might find wiggles dvd too.
LOL liz - warned you about sam..... i highly recomend 'You make me feel like dancing' ! i know all the words to that one, mind you Leo Sayer is on it and i dont like him! but its only the first song.
Jus - mother of the yr.... well guess what i was doing last night..... dying rice grains red to put in Ash's empty coke bottle!!! PML he loves it too!
