Nic - that's how Kayla was sleeping.. on her tummy. It was the only way she'd have a long sleep.. that's why DH was doing night shifts (apart from getting to play xbox LOL) because we couldn't let her sleep on her tummy unsupervised. Most of the time she was on her tummy on a cushion so her legs were bent off the end of the cushion (does that make sense?). It was good for her windy belly. Either that or on her belly on our chests.

thank goodness her wind has eased up tho, coz DH is now back at work and cant' do night shift for me anymore! We've had a couple of good nights so far.. lets hope it stays this way. I don't mind her waking often for a feed.. it's the crying that drives me insane!

Sounds like our babies are all playing tag team. Shame we're spread over the country, we could all be together for the crying fits and wind pains.

Bek, I have a peanut shell, google them and have a look. I love the fact that I can put it on fast and can feed Abbey in it too. I would say Loren has a touch of relux too, atleast that's what it sounds like to me. I hope you get it sorted and some rest soon hun. A crying baby is very draining.

Alicia, that sounds like far too much bother for me. I'd be staying at your friends the night, sending DP back home and let him deal with the mess before I came home. LOL.

Teena, it's like we can't hear or something isn't it. I try and ignore the crying if I can but they make it very hard.

My grand father came over but thankfully only stayed a short time. I think Tehya was driving him mad, well she was me. He brang some lovely fattening cakes with him so we had a cuppa and shared some - still 3 left.

GF is on her way over soon so that will be a nice distraction to the whinging and Tehya's constant wants.

Only about 6 more hours til Tehya goes to bed......

Trish: i think Tehya and Alisha would get on like a house on fire atm. Alisha is constantly annoying the cr!p out of everyone. I think its just an attention thing, and am hoping that Alisha will get over it.

Mirani was getting really windy and having alot of trouble getting it out when i was giving her the S26Gold. I've been giving her the Karicare (the normal one), and she is settling a lot easier, burping is ALOT easier and she's not straining when she poos and farts.

atm she is still sleeping and eating, she does have a few awake hours every couple of days but nothing major. and even though she is only 3 weeks old, last night i had the most biggest smile from her when she was awake. (it wasnt wind, as i'd just burped her and it was one of those ones where her whole face lit up. it almost brought tears to my eyes.)


also just a quick ?, which may be way tmi, but roughly how long is the bleeding supposed to last for?

I'm joining you from the December Belly Buddies thread and only JUST made it as our little boy (Fraser) was born on New Years Eve!

I havent yet had a chance to read the start of this thread as I'm still getting used to all this new "Mummy" stuff and quite tired but I'm hoping to see a few familiar names here.

Louise: I always slept the boys on thier tummies but for some reason didn't try it with Olivia. she is on her tummy again now. She not long woke from a nap and was squirming in my arms so I lay her on her tummy and out came the wind (ps I have an angelcare monitor so I felt ok with the boys on thier tummies. Am thinking about trying it tonight)

trish: Phenergan I should take it. I sleep for 2 days straight if I do.. Enjoy your yummy cakes.. I would kill for a coffee but it is to hot..

Dayl: Welcome and Congrats on the Birth of Fraser.. trust me don't read back enjoy your little boy.. Although the boys in here seem to be wonderful

Michelle: I hope Mirani settles down soon too.. I wonder if this weird weather has anything to do with our windy babies? We have been having rain, cold and hot all in one day lately

as for the bleeding. I think anywhere up to 6 weeks is normal... I think.....

I haven't had much this time.. Although I had a couple days where it was ridiculous but other then that just spotting which has gone completely now...

Well I was having a nice doze with Olivia and Jacob when my phone rang. Was my cousin and was nice to catch up but I would have liked another half hour. I feel good now though...

Jacob is still asleep, Olivia has gone back to sleep on her belly and I am about to go growl at some boys.. Don't jump on the Bleepin bed.,...

My bleeding lasted about 5-6 weeks both times. But very light the last couple of weeks.. just enough to need to wear a liner.

Michelle- Bleeding can last up to 6 wks. I bledd with dd1 for 6 wks, and this time round I have just got the brownish spot (sorry tmi). Althugh I did have a d and c after giving birth so I was fairly well cleaned out.

Trish - Thanks for sling name. I was given a hug a bub sling but it seems way too hot.

is anyone expressing? I have just expressed 2 full boobs and got 40ml. I did this because whilst laying down DH decided to comp feed Loren and I was interested to see how much milk I could get out. he is convinced that she is hungry , maybe he is right because she is sound asleep now.

Nic, gorgeous pic and video hun. Olivia looks like she's getting nice and big. What does she weigh now ?? I so wish I got to have a nap. Maybe tomorrow when DP gets back I can have one.

Michelle, my bleeding lasted for around 5 weeks this time and the last couple of weeks I only needed a liner for occassional spotting. I will keep fingers crossed for both of us that our little girls get out of their moods.

Bek, I had thought of getting the hug a bub too but thought that it would be too hot in this summer weather. Although in saying that it hasn't been that hot here. I don't express at all, and tbh I don't think that expressing gives you a true indication of how much milk you have. I've never really been great at it even though I have plenty of milk.

Tonydayl, welcome and congrats on the birth of Fraser. Good to have another little man in the group. I agree with Nic, don't read back, it's hard enough to keep up with giving yourself more to do.

Abbey's day stayed pretty much the same, barely sleeping and feeding constantly. I went to my ex SIL for a bbq tonight was nice and good to have someone to hand Abbey over too for a bit. My nieces played with Tehya and bathed her for me so that was good. And then just as I was about to leave those death pains kicked in again. Seems I can't eat anything atm. I did the fastest drive home and God only knows how I got both girls inside before running to the toilet. I had originally thought it was from the chinese dinner the other night but not for it to be still happening. I sure hope Abbey doesn't end up with it too.

Tehya is asleep and Abbey is still on the boob. Hoping so bad I get sleep tonight.

I hope you get some sleep tomorrow. I am about to go to bed now. Olivia is looking like she is having her big sleep now. So no doubt come midnight she will wake and stay awake but I have a plan.. First up if she is awake longer then 3 mins after she finishes feeding I am going to bath her and if she is still awake 30 mins after that I am feeding her and then DH is doing the night shift.. Even just for an hour so I can get some sleep..

Your crazy woman. No way would I bath that time of night. LOL. You don't want to start something like that and have to keep it up. I hope that Olivia has a huge sleep for you and doesn't wake until atleast 3 or 4 am. Do you get her up and begin the feed before she is fully awake ?? I do with Abbey even though I change her bum when I get her up, I find she feeds and falls back to sleep pretty easy. Not going to jinx myself though tonight, I am betting it's going to be an unsettled one coz I'm not feeling the best.

Well Princess is stirring So I am about to go get her

Trish: We bathed her once when she was awake at 10pm and it put her out like a light for 4 hours. she was less then 2 weeks old then.. I get her up before she wakes fully to feed her at night. And normally that works fine but the last 2 nights she feeds then wakes up and stays awake. I don't always change her nappy but thats rare as she is always really wet or poopy..

Well now do I get her or not.. I have the monitor beside me and all I have heard are little grunts now and then. (I love the crb light) how did you get on with yours Trish? but if I get her up now she might have a good feed and sleep for t least 4 hours

Guessing you got her up Nic. I was going to say I would grab her before she fully wakes and get that feed into her. Hoping that it works for you Nic. Not sure on the light was just going to check ebay. I can't remember when it was due to finish. Abbey used to sleep like that after her baths too. Doesn't work for me now though, damn it.

Uggg my stomach is soooo off. I hope I'm not on the loo all night. Surely there can't be much left in me. Sorry for the tmi girls.

try eating a grated apple. peppermint oil works great.

but i swear by chammomile tea, it works for everything.

Well... I have to say wooooooooo Olivia woke so I fed her at 9:30 and she was in bed asleep as was I at 10. she woke at 1:30 and fed quite happily but didn't seem to want to go down.. I lay her in her cradle but she kept stirring. so at 2am I lay her on her tummy and she went instantly to sleep.. and woo hoo she slept till 7.. 5 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wahooooo...

yeh I'mhappy.. My hip was sore though from sleeping in one spot for to long but I just laughed at it. Olivia is so happy too.. Anyways we are going to the beach for a BBQ this morning.. better get mnoving

Far out, Tehya is watching The Wiggles, Abbey is in bed, asleep I think, anyway of course she has to yell out Wake Up Jeff !!!

I got to bed around 11pm lastnight and Abbey was up at 3 am, then I saw the hour of 5 twice on the clock, and around 6.30 I think. I ended up laying her on my chest and we slept like that for a while, until Tehya came in to my bed. Was very slack and didn't change Abbey's bum at the 5 am feed. Hope she hasn't got poo in there.
