Go Ash!!! What a clever little man! How exciting
Nic- What a relief, btu like you said might have been good to have some definite answers. Hope the new meds work out. I'm hearing you on the tired- Ty was on his hands and knees in my face at 4:30 am going 'dadadada'.
We are off to see a hypnotist tonight, that peter powers guy... should be interesting...
Lauren, hope you all have a great day out today hun. I'm sure Ash will love it. Be sure to take your camera and get loads of pics. OMG at Ash standing too. That little man is growing up way too fast.
LoriRae, how was your night out ? I'd love to go and watch something like that.
Nic, glad to hear that Isaac's tests went well. Must be a huge relief for you. Enjoy our time away.
Liz, woohoo on the balloon ride. I'd love to do it too. Would probably crap myself initially but I'd get over it. No chance with my DP, he can't handle height at all. Another baby that's up and moving, too scarey.
We are going ok. Have had a big couple of weeks. A friend I grew up with little boy passed away Monday week. His mum went in to wake him up at 7 am and he had died. He was 4 years old Had a seizure in his sleep poor baby.
My mum was taken to hosp last Sunday via ambulance with a suspected heart attack. Thankfully it wasn't that, but was a huge scare for us all. Of course she hasn't given up the bloody smokes
Best go, Noah's school has their spring fair on today and he is singing in it. Thank God there are other kids singing too
home from the show.. gees i got a big headache!!
Ash had a pretty good time very clingy to me but thats ok. IT was sooooo good to be out with daddy, - and mummy got some nice cuddles too, so thats starting to work out nicely
Trish - how horrible for your friend! i couldnt think of anything worse!!
Hope your mum gets better too. The picture in your ticker is just GORGOUS!!!!
well off to put feet up, with little bit of chocolate.. yummmmmmm
Some of you may know me from around the forums but i wanted to come in and introduce myself to you as i am hoping to join you in here My DD2 was born in Nov 07 and i have been in that thread since her birth but TBH i dont know whats happened with it there are only 2 of us left posting so its incredibly quiet and i am getting frustrated talking to myself as i am a regular poster.
Molly was born via an elective CS on the 13th of Nov and is an absolute joy. I BF until she was 5 months old and was relying on Motilium for my supply after having lots of supply issues do to illness. In the end i was still having probs so switched over to FF. At the time it was a real struggle and as much as i wanted to BF until she weaned i am at peace with my decision. So far she is going really well though still not crawling. We have a running joke that she is can do it she's just lazy. I was getting a bit worried but my mum has assured me i never crawled and just got up and walked at 14months and hey i turned out ok She is a very good night time sleeper though our day sleeps can be another issue. I also have a 2.5yo DD who just loves to play mini mummy which is lovely but at the same time can be a little frustrating.
Hi Hoody, sure you can join us. we can have our quiet times too but there are a few regulars.. me for instance hehe BB junkie here!!
Im over when the 'right' time is for babies to do anything.. i dont think theres such thing. Ash was the last to crawl out of 12 babies in my mothers group yet the second one to stand on his own.. so each to there own i say.
Heya Hoody! Now we can be March buddies AND Nov buddies (altho I'm not really in March buddies much. hehe. Kayla was due in Dec but was prem, so I've still hung out with the lovely december ladies Our kids are almost exactly the same age apart Tallon was March 10, and Kayla was Nov 5.
Thanks for the warm welcome Buzzie and Liz I am a BB junkie too but really did start to get fed up of talking to myself in the Nov thread. It was only a really small group to start with though in the last 2 weeks only been 2 of us posting. Its funny as i see this is thread #20 already for you lot and we were still on #4. I havent read much from this thread though as i figured i'd be here all day so i will just keep tabs on you all from now on lol.
Liz i do pop in the March thread quite a bit but dont post very often. Its very slow also and I think cos i joined so late i dont really know anyone and their history iykwim it can make it difficult to join in. How do you find the age gap between your 2? I have my moments but i'm sure thats just because DD1 is a handful and HAS to be involved in everything Molly does. Even down to the fact that DD1 has been TT'd for months but if she see's Molly having her bum changed she wants a nappy, if Molly is been fed by me - she wants feeding by me. I often get up to her in tho cot with Molly trying to change/dress her etc. She even broke her collar bone at 5 months trying to "mother" her. My battle at the moment is her wanting to try and carry her around *sigh* maybe its a girl thing as all my friends with 2 have boys 1st and dont seem to have these issues.
Well i hope you are all well. I best be off to do some house work b4 Molly wakes up.
Lauren- Just for curiousity were those nice cuddles you were getting off Ash or Rob??
Liz- I missed your post about the hot air balloon, just read it then. Very romantic but there is no freaking way you would get me up in one of those things!!
Trish- How very sad about your friend's son. That would be my worst nightmare. Glad your mum is ok. And that ticker pic is just gorgeous
The hypnotist guy was seriously the most amazing thing I have ever seen. We had a great time. If any of you get the chance to see him, I'd highly recomend it. It was hysterical- one of dh's freinds ran around for 20 minutes in the interval looking for her pet leprachuan. And it definitley wasn't fake- we had two friends get hypnotised and the one looking for the leprechaun was waaaay under- she's normally pretty self concious.
Lori - that made me laugh about dh friend! i would love to see that LOL - yes mummy got cuddles with daddy too lol
After spending the whole last week with him smsing me everyday and ringing me on his way home from work for a chat, i think he is pretty geniune, and the pash goodbye after the show yesterday, sealed the deal for me!! LOL
My brother and his gf who came with us to the show said they really saw he was trying and was very cute him looking after Ash, making sure he had his hat on in the sun etc.... We are going out to dinner friday night so that will be nice, you know its kinda funny after 9 yrs and you can still get silly tingly, high school girl, feelings in your stomach over someone..
Were pretty much talking ourselves out of QLD now. mum really wants to focus on her business and saw how happy i was with rob and really wants a nice family happening. not to mention i found a nice 3-4yo kinda i would love ash to go to, and its right next door to mums shop!!! so i think shell try to convince her hubby for some more time here.
hope everyone is well, we have a big photo shoot with the bubs from mothers group tomorrow for mums business, all the kids are gonna play with her toys and a professional photographer will take pics for her shop. will be fun hehe
Lori thanks for the comment on Molly's name. We had soo much trouble picking one and TBH i wasnt that keen on it at first but now i love it and wonder why i never called DD1 Molly mind you then what would i have named molly. lol.
Well poor Molly is teething really badly. So far she only has the bottom 2 but the top 4 look like they are going to break through soon they are so close to the surface. Her cheeks are bright red, she has a low grade temp of 38 and diarhoea (sp?) which is causing nappy rash. Poor lil devil is miserable. I'm hoping it passes quickly. She woke up at 4am this morning for a feed which is very unlike her. Generally overnight she does really well so i am not used to getting up. I had a hectic start today as i had a job interview at 9.30am in the city (i live approx 40kms out) it took over an hr to get there with the traffic so i'm glad i'd left at 8. I tell ya though i cant believe how organised i was i had managed to shower, incl washing blowdrying and straightening my hair, got myself made up and had both kids dressed and fed for 7.30. Prob not a big deal to those who do it on a daily basis but i was proud of myself we are lucky to be at that point by 9am most mornings. The job is PT just 2 days a week and TBH i am really hoping i get although i will have to do 6wks full time training which will be tough with the girls. Esp if i have to start soon as DH is off to Vietnam on Sun for a 2wk holiday. Well anyway i guess now i just have to wait and see to hear from them.
Hi all
Been a heck of a long time since I have posted here...Life has been so hetic and I really don't know what to type half the time....
Olivia is now trying to crawl on all fours but the hard tiles put her off a bit so she scuries long instead...She has 3 meals a day and wont drink anything but Booby... Going to be fun when the weather starts to get into the high 30 and 40's.... Meant to be 32 tomorrow here sigh.
Well a few weeks back olivia had a accident with a hot cuppa tea (mummys fault completely forgotten how fast she can move in a spilt second) she has a nice scar on both forearms one is the size of a 20c piece the other is about 2cm long...Have healed nicely but non the less I feel like a moron.... I didnt want to own up to it on here hence the delay in telling you all about it....
Still no teeth....she has found squealing though and that at times is very painful on hte ears...Still not sleeping through the night....
Welcome to the group hoody....Love the name molly tooo reminds me of a Country Practice....
Oh teena ouchies... if it makes you feel any better thinking your a silly mummy, when i was 18 months old my whole family was having a party at my grandparents house and there was one of those massive silver urn things u boil water in for ppl to make coffees etc.. and someone just made one and sat it next to the urn ontop of a teatowel, of course curious little lauren wanted to see what was in the cup and i pulled the teatowel and at the time was wearing a jumpsuit, well it fell on my fore arm also and in the panic of everyone my dad pulled my suit off, and with him he took all the skin off my arm - sorry gross here - and i will leave the rest out, but i was was rushed to hospital and was in bandage for 3 months. i still have the scar today, althought ALOT better than it used to be as my arm grew bigger but a sad reminder of how quick little fingers are. I NEVER let ash go in the kitchen without me checking the bench first.
Hope Olivia is ok. Its a horrible thing for bubbies and mummies to go thru.
Teena- You are not a moron mummy I know the feeling all to well though. When Molly was 5 months old DD2 rolled her over and broke her collar bone i felt so bad at the hospital having to explain that i was too busy not watching etc. Accidents happen and as nasty as it is to have your DD get burnt i'm sure you both learnt a little something iykwim.
Congrats on 9months Buzzie it sure does fly fast huh i cant believe its only 6-7 wks til Mollys 1. What happened to my baby?? Just noticed you are going to the wiggles me too but i'm only taking DD1.
home from camping. had a Brilliant time. Didn't want to come home.. Olivia was excellent (and turned 10 months on Saturday) She went for her first proper swim and actually liked it even though the water was quite cold..
Anyways hope everyone is well.. I will try catch up soon.. Isaac is 5 tomorrow wow where did the time go!!!!
Hello to all Mums and bubs, our little one Kieren finally cut his first front teeth last week, but everyone in our house has had the flu. It`s amazing what the bigger kids bring home from school.....bugs,bugs,bugs!!!!
Trish ,sorry to hear about your mum, hope she is well soon, your little girl is beautiful. I really feel for your friend, hope she has support around her,it`s devastating to loose a child at any age,our son passed away from a brain heamorage, but he had a genectic disorder,we just had his 4th year of his passing last week, you never get over these traumatic things.
Hoody,Hi how are you going? Hows the girls?
Buzzie, you told me to try the Nurofen, instead of the Panadol,THANK s, I really think it works much better, our little mate has driven us nuts with his teething, but at least, once the meds kicked in he got some sleep.Still not crawling much,Kieren prefers to roll around everywhere,we laugh and call him lazy bones,he giggles at us now.
Hope everyone is well, and bubs are good, take care, off to make school lunches now!
