:confetti: Happy 1st Birthday Sofia! :birthday2:
Wow this year has gone by so fast!
happy first birthday sofia
thanks everyone, Sofia has enjoyed herself today, she woke at 3.30am this morning and wanted to party - (mummy disapproved, breastfed her back to sleep). She likes her her tent and blocks. We had a cake at playgroup, will have more tonight and even more at her party on Saturday.
Happy Birthday Sofia. Yay to Kitten2b - You have successfully made it threw the first year!
Hi girls. Sorry i havent been around in a while. So much has been happening, had alot of specialist appointments to get my graves under control which finally seems to have happened. I cant believe it is 1st birthday time already. Ethan is 10 months old now and boy how time has flown. He is crawling and pulling himself up on everything. Not so long ago i thought he would never roll let along crawl then in a 3 week period he rolled, crawled, sat up and started to stand up. He also has 4 teeth and talks no stop babble.
Birthdays - i have all Ethan's presents for his birthday on Layby. Being 3 days after christmas i put them on with the santa presents so that i didnt have to run around and remember them, that and Charlie's bday is 10 days before christmas. He is getting a baby bike thingy for his bday and 2 different toys from his brothers. Have to run as Ethan is waking up, will try and get on again soon. Hugs to all the bubs and mums hope everyone is great and congrats to tinsel - keeping fingers crost for you.
Hello everyone, how are we all going? Been very busy lately, not much time to get on here.
Kitten2b- :partysmiley: Better late than never, Happy Birthday Sofia, hope you have had a lovely first birthday.:D
All our little ones are growing up too fast, the time is just flying........or maybe I?m just getting old,lol.......
Tinsel- Sorry just catching up on some reading,Congratulations on your very happy news.
Ok, hope eveyone is well,I really have to study,..sigh...., catch up soon.
Quick question ladies - How can I get Olivia to drink out of a straw? I demo it for her and she gets all excited then she just holds it between her gums and looks at me like 'now what?!' I am trying the straw cup as it has been really hard to get her to drink from a cup with a spout (I have tried 3 different kinds). Now with the weather heating up I want to make sure she starts drinking more water.
Alicia - i would just start with a tiny straw so there less work to do and she will just get it in her own time. Mum said we all started after we were 1 so i dunno how long it will take.
Jas - good to hear from you again :)
Alicia - Olivia will get the concept when she is ready. Sara refused to drink out of a straw until she was 18months. Other babies take to it straight away..My suggestion is to let her play with it, keep showing her what to do and repeat, repeat, repeat...
Morning all :)
woot I got 6 hours straight sleep.. Olivia slept 6:30 till 4:15.. She did wake as I was ging to bed at 10 but I just put her to bed with me and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.. I am sure in the next hour or so it will hit me what time my day started  but its all good Simon is on Days off today so I can nap this afternoon if need be :)
Alicia: I think my kids were around 18 months when they drank from a straw. With the boys I bought them dinky cups (cups without any valve) yeh they made a mess but they didn't have to work to get the water out..
Hi all,
Hope we are all doing good. After all my whinging last week, Ty actually slept through last night, from 8:30 to 4am.... YAYYYYY!!!!!
Alicia- We use the cups Nic is talking about too, with no valve. The First Years make really good ones called Take or Toss- you can get them at Woolies or Toys'R'Us.
MoM- What are you studying?
Yucky rainy weather here, bleh. Going out to meet the mum's group for a coffee :)
Yay Nic and Lori on the fantastic sleeps. must be in the air, Ash is doing great too, since hes been sick i think hes really weaning himself at night and sleeps straight thru till about 4-4.30am :D
You know those moments in life you have where u spend so long fighting for something you think you want but once you have it you realise its just not what you thought it would crack up to be...... well i had one of those today and told Rob i really didnt want to be with him. I think alot of it was for Ash and this week made me realise i deserve alot better... Deeer alot of ppl say... i told him i deserve a man who is so proud of his family he would want to tell the world. So there u have it. And i feel so much better i can let go of that crap and really feel so much better about life - weird, never thought it would feel that good.
Ok i had my spill. lol
Yukky weather today here too, 30 and raining, go figure. Hope everyone is having a great day, and lots more sleepy bubbas!!
Hello ladies & bubs.
After a crappy morning of rain & kids fighting before school,I can finally sit in peace this afternoon only because it`s homework time, lol.
Lori- My studies are Private Investigator, course.Iam doing the same work as DH,mainly so i can work my own hours, when I choose too, ykwim. I wont be finished until next August,09. How are you going? Where was that snake you saw,Lori? We have had snakes here in Parramatta in Summer.:o
Not much is happening around here, kids are all good for once.
going to help DH prepare home made pizza`s for dinner tonight.
Hope everyone is having a good afternoon, cheers.:D
Buzzie - You need a big hug...:grouphug:Good on you girl for knowing what is actually best for you. This is really hard to do when you really want to give your child what everyone thinks is a"normal" family.
Not much happening here. Sara is asleep after a long day of swimming and going to grandma's place. Sara had one of her monumental tanties when we got home so got packed off to bed kicking and screaming. Loren is under the pergola pushing around a toddler bike, and she is absolutely filthy. As a first time mum I never let Sara get really dirty, now having 2 I let Loren explore and get dirty...bad mummy
not a bad mummy, just realistic
Bekz- I here you with No2 i am so much more relaxed about her getting filthy lol. Hey kids arent supposed to be clean 24/7 and thats what bath time is for.
Well DD1 has come down with Molly's cold so still not getting much sleep. Also DH and i are having a really bad time at the moment and i dont really know where we stand. I would like to work things through but he isnt so sure. He said i can leave but i'm not taking "his" girls away from him and TBH i dont want to leave i want us to be a "happy" family. I dont really want to air my dirty laundry all over the net but just so you know things are really bad for me right now so i'm sorry if i'm a bit all over the place or not around much. I'm just trying to get through one day at a time at the moment. Please if any of you talk to me through msn dont say anything incase i am not online and DH gets it iykwim. I would hate to make things worse right now.
Hope you are all well.
Hoody - :grouphug:. I don't know what else to say. If you need to talk you can pm me.
Hoody - hugs your way too. Dont feel so bad having a spill, everyone knows about me and my stupid 'partner' issues. ive been all over the place for 9 years lol
As for "happy families" thats up to each individuals opinion of what one actually is. Ive come to realise Ash has a happy family already with or with out daddy in the picture cos hes got ALOT of love around him already. And from personal experience, kids know everything, if mummy are daddy arent happy.... the kids will know somehow somethings up. Making the decision today to get on with my life without rob as a "happy family senario" was a great lift off my shoulder. I know our situations are very different, but you need to look after you too and you should have and deserve a man who respects you too! :)
 Hoody !
Buzzie - big hugs. When I saw on FB that you are now listed as single, I was sad for you but after reading your story here, I am proud of you and the decisions you have had to make. Has Ashies tooth come all the way through yet? We still don't have one through yet.
Hoody - big hugs for you hun. It sucks to be in the place you are now and I really hope you and DH can work it out.
Louise - How did all Sofia's celebrations go? Sick of cake yet? Please post a pic of little miss one - would love to see her.
MoM - I always wanted to be a PI when I was growing up. Well done studying. I just couldn't do it with bubs.
I am so jealous of mums getting sleep. I am still up through the night and haven't slept through for 5 months now. I really need that to change with No2 on the way. I am getting so tired.
Tinsel - :grouphug: hugs to you and sleep vibes coming your way hon...
Whilst in the bath I noticed that Loren has two more teeth peeking through. No wonder she has been wanting to bite everything in the last week.
Tinsel - thanku for that :) its hard enough making decisions for our selves but when they effect another little human gees it makes it all 10times harder.
Still only a 1/4 of one tooth here been sitting there for a couple weeks now, no sign of the next one coming any time soon.
Did you end up doing another test? how far along are you now?
Hi all,
Lauren- for you. i definately think you've made the right desicion. And you are right- kids are happier if mum and dad are happy, whether that's happy together or happy apart.
Hoody- And  for you. As above :) What a tough desicion to have to work through.
MoM- Wow how exciting, you clever girl :) I ran over a black snake here in good old Currans Hill (near Campbelltown). On the main road, only an hour after I was walking there. Bleeping thing was over a metre long too.
Tinsel- Don't be too jealous of me- Ty has only slept through twice in almost eleven months  And last night we were back to our usual up every three hours or so... and some :stickyvibesboy: coming your way...
Gonna be a hot one here. It's my birthday tomorrow :) I'm a whole 27. And we have a christening to go to on Sunday which is only 4 doors down from us, so we cxan leave at nap time and come back after yay!
ETA- Btw Bekz- Dirt is good, I reckon. Let the messy little critters into as much as they like!
Sofia is havig her birthday party tomorrow, so I will post some pictures tomorrow.
Just a note, I don't think Sofia has ever slept through, but Maria didn't until she was about 15 months old
Morning all :)
not much to report.. hope all is well..
Liz: Is Kaylas Birthday the 5th November??
Hello All,
Well i am feeling a bit calmer today. Molly is almost back to her normal self an slept through last night 5.30pm-8am. DD1 is still full of snot etc but her asthma has settled down a bit thank goodness. I feel terrible as i still sent her to DC today as i really need some me time. My sister has taken Molly for the day too so i can REALLY have a me day. Going to nip to the shops and catch up on some Housework etc then have a nice LONG hot shower and do my hair properly etc. DH and i sat down last night and had a big talk and cleared the air a bit. Things are by no means rosy but i am feeling a bit better. We have decided to work on our relationship and to try to start working as a team. I know changes wont happen over night but at least we are heading in the right direction with baby steps iykwim. We both love eachother and want the relationship to work. I think the stress of having the girls so close together has taken its toll on DH. TBH i think he feels very neglected by me and that all my energy is put into the girls- perhaps its is. He is the type of person that needs affection to feel loved iykwim he likes lots of it not just in a sexual way but the holding hands, me running to greet him when he comes home and happy to see him etc. So that is my project to work on to make him feel like i love him which of course i do and his is to try and help me out more with the girls and to be more involved in our family. We tend to live very separate lives so we need to start acting like a family. Wow i wasnt going to write to much on the subject but i guess i must have needed to unload whats on my chest a little.
I am now off to enjoy my child free morning. I hope you all have wonderful weekends :)
As its the 1st of November tomorrow, ill try to start organising now for our online cyber birthday/chrissy party lol:birthday2:
If anyone wants to do it, can everyone try to be online on the 29th November which is a saturday about 12pm? - Please note the time differences in states. Im basing 12pm on Melb time. (if that time is too hard pls let me know)
Try to make sure pressies are posted that week before, if you want to know exactly how long your postage will take to get to someone before the friday you can look at Welcome To Australia Post and itll tell you cost and times for posting.
And dont forget, mums still offered a Little Tikes toy to the winner of our game. :D
Those who dont yet have a msn account, if you can please sign up for one, then we can all chat on the same box, otherwise posting will get way too messy. I think this is the easiest way to do it :D
Hope you are all intrested for those who arent, thats ok, just a bit of fun :partysmiley:
Awesome Lauren :) Now I just need to remember my msn password.... I don't get on there much...
Can't wait Lauren :woo:
Hoody: Glad you and DH had a talk.. fingers crossed things start improving
Lauren - Good on you! :D
Hoody - It is terrible when things are not good at home. I hope they improve after you talk
MoM - A PI!!!! I know it is probably just a normal boring job but you have to admit it sounds exciting and important
Bek - I am all for a bit of playing in the dirt (although I am not keen on her eating it), it's just a normal part of getting out and exploring things. Olivia had a great time at the playground earlier in the week just 'sorting' the tan bark and putting it in her shoes!
Louise - I hope Sofia's birthday goes well.
Party - Unfortunately I have a Chrsitmas party to go to on the 30th so wont be online  But just in case things change my msn address is in my profile on here and you are welcome to add me :D Of course I will still post my pressie.
Well we had the WORST night here EVER! Olivia cried and cried until 2am! Nothing helped and in the end things here were a little tense. At 2am I again tried taking her to bed with me and she finally drifted off but between 2 and 5:30 she was constantly grizzling and wriggling. So we got up at 5:30 (when DH got up) and went to the lounge for a bit. Finally at 8:30 we both fell asleep on the couch for 2 hours. I am SO tired! And of course DH rang before and said he is going out tonight and then again tomorrow morning  So I will be left with the overtired crying baby. Not sure what is wrong with her, she had a temp of 38.5-39 all day yesterday and keeps rubbing her tumb on her top gum so hopefully it is just her teeth and it will settle down again :crossfingers:
Sorry that was a long rant. I should be napping while the little Miss is finally quiet but I have never really been able to sleep during the day...
Have a good day all.
Alicia -i changed it to the 29th, i have a chrissy party on the 30th too
ugh Alicia What a night!! I can't really sleep during the day either.. I just can't switch off. I used to be able to.. I did nap yesterday though but I was shattered..
I am bored today..
for those who have msn but not mine I am takeaheik@hotmail.com :)
Bother I am working 29th. Oh well.
ETA- Actually just checked it is nighttime event, not a day one. Yay :)
Bugger, we have Olivia's party on the 29th. Oh well :-(
I forgot to say thanks for the cup advice. I have a Heinz cup that have just taken the valve thingy out of so that the water just dribbles out when she tips it. Now she is loving drinking her water!
I am easy with days... so if the day needs changing thats fine :D
I feel sad this afternoon.. The kids from next door just got taken into foster care :( the poor dad does his best.. The stupid mother who is either taking off with some new boy friend or taking the kids and running is out of the picture. He has had the kids back in his care for about a month now.. its just so wrong dammit.. He does his best and as far as we can tell is a good father.. :( poor kids
Thats really sad for the dad but i assume they have reasons for taking the kids iykwim.
I am a bit down tonight :( Both girls are asleep and i am waiting for DH to come home *sigh* ON a good note i thoroughly enjoyed my day today even though all i did was clean and go food shopping. Its so much easier to get done alone mind you i felt very naked without the kids lol. I am hoping to take the kids to beach tomo weather permitting. Molly has never been b4 so should be fun.
