Nic- That sounds pretty sad. It seems like they always take the wrong kids- the ones who really look like they need help are still with their parents, and then you see parents who are trying their hardest and still lose their kids.
Hoody- Isn't it great going grocery shopping without kids? So much quicker and easier (but I find more expensive- I have time to look around and buy more).
Not much happening here. Ty and dh both asleep, housework done and I am getting a sleep in tomorrow *yawn* I should go to bed.
-
I know it must have been for a reason.. We don't have much to do with them cus the mum is a whack job but the kids come and play with my kids..
I am so exhausted tonight and I don't really know why.. Prob lack of sleep jahahahaha...
while we don't celebrate halloween we do get trick or treaters.. so Simon carved a pumpkin and we had lollies to hand out.. heaps of kids came over.. our boys were very impressed lol.
-
I bought Halloween lollies for trick or treaters cause last year I got caught out with none when they knocked.... and this year noone bothered coming!
I'm pretty impressed with the pumpkin carving too :)
-
we dont celebrate it either and every year get kids knocking, got some again last night and had nothing, but mum was pretty peed cos she reckons its a american tradition and we shouldnt have to give them anything LOL
-
oh I agree Lauren but I would have felt bad sending them away empty handed so we just made sure there was something here lol
-
Nic - oh, that is sad about the kids next door. I really hope they get to stay together and that they can go back to their family after whatever needs to happen. I hope your kids aren't too sad about it.
Buzzie - I did another test and the line is darker and I have one more test left and I am amazed I haven't used it up yet . It's funny because it is all different this time around with Monique taking up most of my day so I don't really have time to think about what I'm doing. Hopefully it is a tough little cookie because Monique kicks and pushes into my tummy and is heavy to lug around. It's still exciting though.
Alicia - I hope Olivia had a better sleep last night.
MSN - yep, I have an account but I just have to work out how it all works. Any day is fine with me really.
We went scoping out parks today for Monique's first birthday party and I've narrowed it down to two. I just hope it doesn't rain on the day.
-
Feeling like the worlds worst mother today :-( After another bad night Olivia's temp was high again this mornng so I took her to the doctor and my poor little munchkin has tonsilitis (sp?) and pharingitis (sp?). Feeling so guilty that I didn't take her to the doctors yesterday but yesterday afternoon she did seem more herself then went downhill again at night. Hope now that we have some medication and a plan that she gets better quickly.
-
 alicia, get better soon olivia! dont think your a bad mummy its hard to tell with kiddies, sickness goes up and down at the blink of an eye and without them giving you easy indications how they feel, we try our best!! :)
Tinsel - i bet that made it more exciting. :)
-
Took the kids to the beach this morning and hada blast. It was nice to get out and smile feels like its been a while iykwim. Molly loved the sand until she rubbed a nice fistfull into her eyes. DD1 didnt want to come home but it was getting a bit cool and i cant keep her out of the water. We made a massive sandcastle in the shape of a turtle and took some pics. DH is making lots of effort today and its nice to know he cares about our relationship. Of course still lots of issues but fingers crossed things improve. Mind you we still have a long way to go.
-
Hoody - thats great you went to the beach its so nice when they play with the sand, hope molly was ok with her eyes. The worst ash had done is eaten a couple handfuls lol Im glad u and hubby are working things out! :)
-
well survived Sofia's first birthday party. She was so tired by the end of the day and was not impressed that I put her in a pretty dress as dresses and crawling do not go together. I have put some photos in the gallery and my facebook.
Must be Kayla next for birthdays

hi all.. quick drop by will do personals tonight
Decided to go camping yesterday for the night.. Was soooo nice.. We left around 2 and got home at 11 this morning.. kids were great.. and I was the only one to catch a fish.. a sea monster too ;) (about 10cm) lol.. but hey a fish is a fish..
I am now going to sneak off to my bed.. We were up and down half the night.. Olivia slept through of course.. and tooth number 7 made an appearance yesterday.. It was so cold last night that we couldn't sleep  and we didn't have enoough bedding as we had been using the AC at home.. We found ourselves chuckling about that
anyways off before my monsters awaken
-
kitten - thats great the day was great, and good she got nakered at the end, means it was a good day lol
Nic - nice fishing! i swear im prone to bad luck when i go fishing, i can be there all day and would be lucky to get the smallest fish in the whole bloody ocean!
SORRY FOR THE LATE POST -:happybirthday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR YESTERDAY LORI!! a whole 27years hey!! LOL
-
happy birthday Lori :)
Lauren: Simon kept saying I caught the only hungry fish  I even threw it back still attached and let Jacob reel it in LOL.. had to keep the kiddies entertained..
I decided to have a bath instead of a nap then got bored so here I am again,,

MoM - I had a giggle too. Thanks.
Lori - Happy Birthday - I knew there was something else I needed to post yesterday.
Nic - I saw the pic of Olivia standing on Buzzie's FB page. Wow! She is so cute, I just love her hair.
Louise - I just checked out the pics of Sofia on her big day on FB. I love the pic of her asleep after all the excitement. The cake looked fabulous.
We had a pretty good day catching up with my sisters, niece and nephew. Monique had a lovely time playing. Turns out that my 7 month old nephew has a tooth coming up exactly the same as Monique. Pretty cute and pretty sharp.
-
Thanks tinsel :) She is so grown up now..
Have i got you added at FB? if not just add me if you want :)
I am so tired and a little sore cus I got sunburnt... thinking about going to bed super early tonight..
-
Hi all,
Thanks for the birthday wishes :) I gto a sleep in, a shopping trip and even a night out where I managed to have 3 alcoholic drinks and not fall under the table :) Was the first time in almost two years I've had a drink. Only problem was having to express all the bad boobie milk out when I got home- it's been a while since I expressed!!
Lauren- Thanks for adding me on FB, it took me a couple of minutes to figure out who you were :) Anyone else on FB?
Nic- Ooooooh big sea monster! Bet he was good eating, fed the whole family?? ;)
Hoody- You dh sounds like he is making a bit of an effort, I hope it lasts. Ty hated the beach last time we took him, will have to try again.
MoM- You're and Ebayer too I see... what furniture did you pick up?
Louise- Glad the party went well, would've been such a big day for Sofia.
Ty is so unsettled this mornign after big weekend- we had a christening to go to yesterday too. And back to his usual bad night sleeping, up every two hours or so *sigh*. Oh well.
-
Lori: Sounds like a fun birthday :) I had a couple drinks the other night too .. but I didn't express cus they were weak and I figured by the time she woke it would all be ok.. and she slept through that night so all was good lol..
I to have FB.. I will find you through others profiles lol.. (that sounded a tad stalkerish)
I had a TERRIBLE night last night.. I went to bed at 9 thankfully. Olivia was up at 11 till 2:30 then she was awake again at 4.. She was so hot poor baby.. the thermometer batteries had died so I just went on feel and she was just so incredibly hot. but she is back in bed now and I hope it was just a one off thing
Anyways I hope everyone has a nice day.. apart from basic cleaning I plan on doing very little today
Olivia is awake so I better go now..
-
Forgot to mention the lovely  gift MIL got Olivia for her first birthday
A delightful hot pink skirt and hot pink top.. not wrapped no card . just handed to us yesterday cus they won't be here on her birthday  and I got annoyed at myself for being upset by it
and my poor miss is not well.. She woke before with a temp of 38.5 but it came down pretty quick with panadol. She has had lunch or a little anyways. she wasn't interested in eating.. came and hosed the yard with me and did goto sleep but is now crying out in bed.. Will leave her for a little bit and see how she goes..
-
Dont worry Nic, i would be upset about that too. At least it was something i guess ?? ;)
I think im starting a really bad habbit with Ash. I'm letting him have his day naps in my bed  he has 2 sleeps durning the day and if hes in his cot im lucky to get 20mins out of him, yet in my bed every time he will sleep for at least 2 hours! I just love the 'me' time - hence why ive been a BB nut this week hehe - but im sure its not prob a good idea to get him used to.
Yay finally the damn pigeons im looking after are going on wednesday! -Those who dont have facebook, 2 babies fell out a nest and ive been looking after them, i swear its like having triplets this last couple weeks!! driving me nutts. one of them is hurt so i have to keep putting betadine on him. Yesterday i had there box outside and brought it in my room for the night and TWICE durning the night i felt something crawl over me.. damn earrwigs!!! aaaaaaaah they had crawled into the box and come inside. there were 2 more on my curtain when i woke up!! YUKO! So i said to mum my niceness is up and there going! ahhh
hehe ok thought i would share that! lol
Have a nice day everyone, and get better soon Olivia!
-
Lauren - Tallon slept on our bed for day sleeps, and I'm tempted to start it with Kayla too. One good thing is it makes the transition to their own big bed really easy when they're used to sleeping on a bed :) You just have to keep a closer ear out for them waking up so they don't crawl off!
-
Thanks liz, i feel better about it now :D i think the time to myself is just wonderful and im sure he feels better for a bigger sleep. Hes never been a cot baby, everytime i go to put him down he knows and wakes. i told mum i reckon its the sense of dropping (as u put them down, if you know what i mean) but if i put him on anything my level where hes still against my body, eg, couch etc, he will stay asleep. i think he will be better in a 'big' boys bed when hes ready than a cot.
-
Yeah, the cot is proving a pain for us too. I'm thinking of trying a pillow next to her in the cot tho, coz I think nuzzling up to our pillows or leaning her back on a pillow helps her feel safe and sleep longer, so before I ditch the cot all together I might try a pillow in there for her to snuggle up to.
We've had some AWFUL AWFUL evenings lately. She just cries and cries and won't sleep. And if we do manage to rock her to sleep she wakes as soon as we put her down. She doesn't go down for a restful sleep until after midnight :( A friend of mine asked if we can get help anywhere and i told her what I thought of sleep schools LOL.. but I also said that whenever I reach my wits end and even consider what to do about it, she changes. Anyway.. after saying that.. today I noticed she's cutting two more top teeth.. so there ya go.. there's usually a reason! How cruel would it have been to be 'training' her with sleep when she's suffering with her teeth. Poor chook. Anyway.. DH is picking up some nurofen today, so hopefully we'll have a more restful night tonight.. and we're going to try chamomile tea again.. seemed to help her last night to calm down when she got overtired.

Hello ladies & bubs.
Lori- Yes I?m an E-bay addict, lol. We bought our DD,a lovely piece of white furniture on the weekend,it`s a shelf unit with 9 spaces with zip up coloured clothe storage boxes, adds colour to her room,it`s very nice,a real bargain for $20,it was worth over $100. I love to chase a good bargain. How about you,do you buy off E-bay too.? :)
Nic & hoody- cant remember the last time i had a drink, use to be a social drinker, but once all the kids come we dont get out much anymore.
About cots,I`ve tried so many times to put Kieren into a big cot,and he screams the house down, doesnt go to sleep,so i put him back into his portable cot,in our room,as it alot smaller and its the only thing that he has been in since birth, but i hope he might move into the bigger one soon, otherwise I think i will be selling it too.
Hope all mums with sick bubs get better & you get some sleep.Take care all.
-
Lauren: most of my kids have had day sleeps at one time or another on the big bed.. Olivia had one today for ages.. she slept better cus I lay down with her and then I crept away
Liz: I do the pillow thing when she is on my bed.. I sneak it in as I am creeping out lol..
Olivia has been up and down all day.. temp hasn't been any higher then 38.5 which by my standars isn't a high temp but is starting to get up there..
Well miss is still awake but is now calling for boo boo..
-
MoM: you posted while I was typing.. Hi :) you guys get all the great bargains on ebay.. where I live makes it hard..
-
Nic,Hi ya,how r u going.
I?m always chasing bargains,i love E-bay,any kind of markets, lol.I don`t mind buying second hand goods if they are in good condition, iykwim.I can`t afford to buy everything i wont brand new,but I`ve bought some great stuff on there.
How `s all the family going? We r all good. Hope to catch u on msn,lol.Susan.:D
-
Another ebay junkie here! lol
Olivia is recovering from her tonsilitis (sp?) and is finally going to sleep at night again. I tell you the last week of screaming and crying for hours at bedtime was not fun. Now if only she would stop wanting a 'hello' between 3am adn 4am.
-
and another bargain junkie here, the kids are in 2nd hand clothes from their cousins heaps, especially for childcare. I love markets but find them a bit hard with the kids. I have heaps to sell at the baby markets when I find the time.
-
Morning all..
Alicia: Isn't that the most frustrating time to have them wake.. Hope she stops it soon..
MoM: Was great catching up on msn last night
Louise: I am just addicted to ebay for dresses.. I can't help myself.. I am good though I don't allow myself to spend anymore then $10 including postage on a dress.. I figure if I want to spend more I can buy from the shops lol.
-
BB junkie here too. Since the day Ash was born EVERYTHING came from ebay. Every bit of furniture and nursery item and some clothes. And the best part is things ive so far sold everything ive finished with for twice the amount i brought it for!!
Im buying an activity table atm for a chrissy present- its only 6 months old!. i would of like to buy it new but by the time there done with it, is it really worth it!!
Ash started climbing backwards down the stairs now YAY so proud he can turn himself around and go feet first. ive been trying to teach him for a while. its so cute!!
Alicia - good to hear Olivia is getting better. Just horrible to have for bubs :(
-
Hi all,
MoM- Chronic E-bayer here :) I bought a toy shelf with the cloth drawers- sounds a bit like yours- on there a couple of weeks ago- mine wasn't as good as your bargain but, I paid $50. I buy as much as possible on Ebay. There's a really good trash and treasure market near me too, and I try to get to the baby markets as well. Go the second hand for everything I reckon- heaps cheaper and no guilt if it doesn't get a lot of use.
Lauren- Ty used to have all his day sleeps on my bed until he got to crawling. It's a bit too dangerous for us now- Ty is stealthy and fast, doesn't make much noise when he wakes up :) If they are getting good sleep and you are getting time out, no prob I reackon. And like Liz said, it gets them used to a big bed quicker.
Nic- I have to watch myself for that- 'bargains' that would be cheaper at Big W  I get in big trouble fo dh for getting so excited about 'winning' things I lose my commen sense.
Alicia- Poor little munchkin. Hope she feels better real soon.
Ty is discovering he can climb... oh dear :) He's trying to climb out of his cot (hasn't quite figured that out yet thank goodness), can't go in the walker anymore because he climds out of it and the lounge room is just one big climbing frame- I need rubber floors.
Trying to decide if it's safe to leave him in his cot when he's trying to climb out, or should I swap him to a toddler bed? I'm sure he will crawl out of a toddler bed, but that's gotta hurt less than fallinf out of the cot!! I think it will be a while before he can actually get out, but he surprises me some times.
Off to swimming lessons today :) Yay!!
-
Hey guys.
Nurofen, chamomile tea, and the tooth finally cutting through gave us some sleep last night! yay! LOL.
Lauren, I just added you on FB.. I don't know other people's names or emails tho to add you guys. If anyone wants to add me, my FB email is ***email removed*** (I'm gonna delete this from my post soon, coz I don't wanna leave it here, so if you wanna add me.. better be quick! LOL)
-
Hi Liz, I just added you :) Glad you got a good night's sleep. Why we aren't just born with teeth is beyond me.
Will have to stalk Nic and add her too ;)
Bought my person's present today and I am excited! New toy shop opened near us and they had some big bargains so I was able to get something better than what I thought the budget would stretch too.
Ty has crashed after swimming, I love it.
-
Lori : My full name is Nicolle Heikkinen :) Add away
-
hi everyone,
having a crappy day here, well i am, mirani's just fine.
mirani has an appointment on thurs with the surgeon to check her out and book her in for the op.
alicia, mirani had tonsilitis as well about a month and a half ago. just try to keep her fluids up. she wont want to eat even her milk cos it hurts to swallow.
mirani's cutting her 7th tooth atm. so far so good.
both not so dp and i are ebay junkies. i just bought a hand bag over the weekend for my birthday. i just hate the wait for things to arrive.
