We were dunking Tallon from about 8 months I think hehe. Kayla hasn't even been for a swim yet! Poor little pet. Good news is tho, Tallon went in his swimming lesson all on his own! He didn't need me in with him! Woot! So hopefully this will continue, and I can start lessons with Kayla at the same time next term

ETA: wow lauren.. thats cool! Heaps bigger than I thought it was going to be.. I imaged a small box with lots of locks all up next to each other. hehe. You might regret this when he's tall enough to unlock the front door! LMAO.

Yesterday. LOL. It was kinda last minute.. on the way there I asked him if he wanted to just swim with Mel (the teacher) and mummy can watch, and I said mummy could get in later if he really wanted me. He wasn't keen, but wasn't devestated like other times.. and I promised him popcorn afterwards if he swam without mummy, and he was great! He did what the teacher said, waited along the wall while the teacher took another kid for a swim.. he was just sooo good, and I was so excited LOL. So I get a few lessons off before getting in with Kayla! yay!

yeh she has been swimming a few times but we haven't ever dunked her completly till yesterday.. It is really nervy at first but you just go ok on 3 we go under the water and you count 1 2 3 and go under.. Sometimes they splutter to begin with but they are fine. Or you can bob up and down and slowly take them under.. like go to his neck first then to his chin then his lip then his mouth and so on

Yeah, if you do it often enough, and especially if you count each time, they learn to shut their eyes and stuff. They usually get all spluttery if you do it without them expecting it. So once they expect it (like if they know it's on 3) then it's not so bad. But you can't guarantee that they're listening to you counting LOL.

Hi all, not much happening here, absolutely gorgeous weather here sunny 25! yay.
Going to start building our chook house this arvo, hoping mums hubby gets back in time before we loose this awesome day.

Nic - hope u get some rest today in that yukky weather, I hate going out at night and mucking up ashs routines.

Mr Ashie bum broke another toe nail again so definatly off to get some soft shoes tomorrow. he was really upset by this one. Even tho his nails are already pretty short.

Pay day tomorrow WOOT!! getting my layby on tuesday, got a HEAP of summer clothes for ash when target had 30% sale and thought i would get it for chrissy, now i have to be strong enough to wait till then to give them to him!! hehe, i might just take a couple outfits out

Hope everyones got some of this lovely weather too

Liz- istn it awesome when they can go in with the teacher. DD1 has been swimming without me for about 5 wks now and i love it. She had no probs transitioning and i am hoping to get Molly in at the same time slot so i dont have to go twice a week but i'm been a bit lazy its really nice not getting wet for now, lol.

Buzzie- the box is awesome but like some one else said wait til he can reach your door. My DD1 is an escape artist so i have to lock my door with a key so she cant get out.

Michelle- I hope Mirani's op goes ok . Will she be going to PMH? Where abouts in perth are you? I am just north of Joondalup.

Aussienic- Glad the camping went well and I hear you on the late night and then getting them back to sleep. Last night we had SIL's b'day party and both kids were knackered. But Nanna offered to take them both home so lucky for me she was the one that had to do the settling.

I am BORED omg i dont say that very often. The girls are at their Nan's and wont be home for another hour. My house is spotless, i've nipped to the shops etc DH is mowing the lawns.

4 sleeps til my baby is 1
