it been ages since I have posted, have been lurking but lazy.
can someone send me some of the sleep vibes for Fia, she has 4 teeth (molars but not the back ones) coming through and he gums are all swolen and painful, panadol is hardly hitting the pain and if I give her anothe frozen Ice block today she will be bouncing of walls.
I have been advised verbally that I have a month left of work as my job is moving to Brisbane and being merged with another accountant's up there. Losing the money sucks but other than that I am not too worried. I have been feeling for a while that this job was talking me away from the girls too much, even now I feel as if I should try to get a hour of work done instead of doing my own stuff on thr computer. Mother Guilt - you either work and contribute to the household money and savings but in turn have less time with your kids, or you stay at home, have heaps of time with the kids, go balmy without enough adult conversation and have less money.
Sofia is now satnding up on her own, not walking yet but I think that could happen soon. She is talking heaps with "Oh Dear" "all gone" "cat" "noooooo" "ball" and "ia" that last one being Maria
-
Kitten - I am sure something else will come your way regarding work. I know how you feel, I crave adult company and if I wasn't pregnant now I would be looking at starting work next year. Tbh some days I wonder how I am going to cope staying at home for another few years without having a life other than being a sahm. Although I hope you enjoy your time at home with the girls. Maybe go to playgroup, I find going is a godsent for me
Hi all

Afternoon ladies :)
had a nice day today. went across the road for a coffee at 9 and got home at 11:30. was nice to chat.
Kids were bloomin feral for the afternoon so I bundled bikes and prams and went to the beach for 40 mins.. broke the mood... then we got home  aagghh.. bring on bed time
-
:hello: to eveyone, gee I have lots to catch up on.
Nic- Hi,I?m sure Olivia is just fine Nic.You know yourself every child is different and she is happy & healthy little girl.Maybe Nic,like the other ladies have said,if Olivia is a little eat or a bit picky, she probably just keeps burning of her daily caleries from being so active now,Hun.I?m sure you are doing all the right things,Nic,gee you have raised three other children Hun,your doing a fabulous job, stop beating yourself up.
Hoody- Hi,Wow you certainly have had lots going on in your life too,Hun.
I?m sure Molly will suprise you some day soon,& she will be fine, too.Hope you get good news from your Doctor about the x-rays. Good luck Hun.
Alicia-Hi,about the squealing,Kieren is going through the same stage atm,it realy annoys me when I?m driving,he makes me jump, like something is realy wrong, or he does it now when his brother 2.5 comes near him when playing with toys. It`s just so ear piercing. Kieren is only taking three steps at a time still,he`s not in any hurry to walk, lol.
Lauren-Hi, glad to hear that Ash is settling into day care,it`s a huge step in a little person`s life. We have our 2.5 year old Tiger starting pre school next Wednesday, not sure how he will go,but all our others loved it.Fingers crossed, lol.
adkins- hi,the heat is killing me!
The kids are bored, Iam also sick of these long Holidays. I bought my youngest ones chuncky crayons to draw with but Kieren decided to eat the paper off them instead of trying to draw with the others, lol. Whoo Hoo! on Jake sleepping for you.Isn`t it great to get a decent nights sleep, once in a while,we have been blessed with kieren he has been sleeping through for a while now, must be just lucky this time around, lol.
Trish- hi Hun,how are you. Don`t the little ones know how to give us a heart attack, lol. There is only so much kid proofing you can do,Iam so sick off, moving & changing the furniture around, now!!! ykwim. Kieren is in to everything, someone left the back door ajar the other day & he got down the step,& was trying to go head first down the others off our back verandah, scared me,as i couln`t find him.The bigger kids think they live in a bloody tent! The school holidays are way too long,& I can`t wait for them to get back to school.
Lori- hi isn`t the weather shameful.i know it`s summer, but it`s just so bloody hot! not good for nap times. Glad you complained about the ***** who had her own kids at swimming, what do you pay your hard earned money for! I would be so Pi--ed off.Hope you are well,Hun.
Bek z- hi glad to hear everything is coming along fine with your pg. It`s always exciting when the butterfly`s start, good luck with your next ultra sound, too.
Kitten2b- hi teething is just the pits, for all of us,upset mummies & bubs,i found that the Panadol wasn`t strong enough,so i changed to Nuerofen, works better for Kieren, hope those nasty little teeth pop up soon.
Tincel-Hi Hun,how have you been?,the weather has been terriable down your way too!
Your Ultra sound date is a very special one,Hun. Hope all is going well for you & the family,I hated the heat when i was pg.Take care.
Nic-WOW,back to you Hun,we should be all caught up now, lol.
Nic,it`s always nice to have another Adult to talk to,instead of being with the kids 24-7 even better if they live close to you like your friend across the road, good on you, don`t be shy,it`s nice to have a chat over coffee, hun.
:o
Now finally,i havent been around much as I have found a large lump in my left Breast,& the pain has been getting worse over the past three months or so,it brings me to tears somedays. I finally told my DH,& he was really upset with me for not saying anything.Iam waiting to get to see my lady Doctor next week,I thought it was from Breast feeding, the tissue in the Breast, but not sure exactly, like most mum`s I`ve been suffering in silence, but being silly i suppose as Breast Cancer run`s in our family on both sides. Anyway,i will hopefully know something by next week. Good night all, cheers.
-
 Susan I hope the lumps turns out to be nothing. I found a lump when Ethan was 8 months old.. Went straight home (we were on holidays) and I had an US done. turned out to be a blocked milk duct thank goodness..
-
Susan - hope ur ok, as far as im aware if it was breast cancer it shouldnt hurt...?? maybe it is just some problems with your milk ducts or something?
Hope you get it sorted asap.
Im feeling all crappy today,. bit like pms.. but just want to cry for no reason.. gees the body is weird sometimes....
I cant wait to start working full time and making money again, yet im nervous as about it.. its soo doing my head in.
Hope the weather is cooler for everyone today!! :)
-
Lauren: When do robs parents get home? I hope you hear something soon.. Is anyone collecting thier mail or is it a po box thingy? me being the paranoid person i am lol... I wonder if rob was collecting the mail and saw the letter from you would he give it to them
-
It was just to a home box, and i wondered if he might of thought it was something from me, knowing i wanted them to know anyways.
I got mum to write on the front as he knows my handwritting. I have been trying to get as much info as i can from his mate without making it obvious and he was the one telling me they might still be at the beach but i couldnt push him anymore.
I emailed the SIL couple days ago asking if the parents were still on holidays and besides thinking im a weird freak for asking her these questions when we really dont know each other LOL, i havent heard back yet.
The only thing im thinking is wait till the end of jan, and you would at least think they would have to be back and if ive heard nothing, emailing the letter to the SIL and/ or sister. I know they go online so they would definatly get it.
I was going to drive past there house to see if there car was back but they have a garage. :(
-
Susan- Huge  for you hun.... I am so hoping everything is ok. PM if you want someone to talk to.. sending all my love to you, let us know how it goes.
Lauren- Ooooh that would be just killing me hun... I like your plan- wait till Jan end then email. And i understand about you feel going back to work. That would be such a huge shock to the system after being at home for so long. You will do great- give ti three days and you'll wonder how you lasted so long at home!
Nic- How are you? Glad you've got a mate across the road. I've got one that lives four houses down with bubs the same age and it is so awesome having her there. A friend's place to go to without all the stuff around of getting in the car, woot!!
-
Susan - I am praying that you are ok hon. You'll be in my thoughts.
Buzzie - HUGs!!!!
Lori - I like you blurb in your signature!!
I tried to attach a ticker to my signature but I am not sure which option to cut and paste into my signature. Anyone know?
Bloody hot here today
-
Bekz - the BBCode - which ticker site are u using?
-
MoM - I hope it is nothing too serious. Thinking of you.
Buzzie - I know what you mean about going back to work. I'm even dreaming about it now  Monique's childcare is finally going to open on 27 Jan which is my first day back at work so I have asked for 4 more days off to ease Monique into childcare. So good that Ash has settled in well. I think we are hanging out as much as you are for Rob's parents to be back hehehe.
Kitten - bummer about your job but you have skills to pick up work anywhere.
Bek - I don't think I will be able to help myself finding out the gender of bubs so we most likely will. How excellent that your scan is only 2 days after mine. This pg has gone so fast already it's crazy. I can see your conundrum about childcare for Loren. I'm putting Monique in so I can go back to work for 4 months and then take maternity leave again which will be good for our bank balance but I also think it will be good for her too because she loves playing with other kids and she will do things that we don't really do here like painting (I can't get my head around all the mess just yet). I'm deciding whether to leave Monique in part time when bub#2 arrives just so I have some time with bubs in the first few weeks, maybe even for 6 weeks while we are in the newborn fog. Don't know. Will have to see how she goes in the next 4 months.
OMG we had our first poo in the bath the other night and it was soooo gross! I heard Monique grunting but didn't think anything of it until I saw a million floaties in the bath - yuck! Evacuated quick smart and then lovely DH sorted the bath out.
We had the best night in a long time last night. Monique finally went to sleep at 10pm (was sooo hot) and then woke up just after 8am. So happy she is finally sleeping but I'm not having very good sleep grrrrr.
Better get miss some lunch.
-
Tinsel- Eeeeewwwww!!!!!
Bekz- I usually find it's the second code- the shorter one- like Lauren said, the BB one :)
-
Susan huge hugs hun i hope everything turns out ok. One of my close friends has a lump in her breast at the moment that is very painful. She has been to the dr's and he said it was "unlikely" cancerous and generally ppl dont feel pain they just find the lump. Her US found it was a cyst that she needs removing. For her it was good news. I hope something similar is the case with you iykwim.
A stinking hot day here so i am hibernating in the house in the comfort of AC. Molly is just waking up so g2g but will come back later
-
Hi everyone!
Susan – OMG you poor thing! I hope you are ok, please let us know how you get on at the docs and I am praying that everything will be ok.
Lauren – this waiting game must be driving you insane! I agree, wait til the end of Jan and then take further action, whether it be emailing the sis or would you ever consider doing it face to face?
Tinsel – I couldn’t help myself finding out the sex with Jake, so much so that I booked a 4d scan myself at 16 weeks cause I couldn’t wait another 4 weeks lol. Woohoo on that big sleep, Jake hasn’t done it since the other night, oh well maybe one day…
Nic – that’s great having a friend over the road, we met our new neighbours at our block of land the other day, they’re our age and have an 18 month old and a 3 yr old and seem lovely so it’ll be great when the house is built.
Jake had his 1 yr vacs this morning, he did so well, only cried for a couple of seconds and is happy as normal now. He’s just over 9kg which was a surprise to me as I only thought he was 8.5 so he’s back on the 10th percentile which I’m stoked about. Oh and he’s 76cm tall so happy with that too! It’s a lovely day here 28 deg so we’re making the most of being outside, gonna heat back up in a couple of days though.
Take care everyone
-
Hello everyone, Thanks everyone for caring abou my Lumpy Breast,so to speak.I told my Mother today,& she said to me "Well if you stopped having bloody kids, you might not suffer so much",this really hurt me,today, but what can i exspect, I`ve always felt un- loved & un wanted by my parents,I don`t know why i wasn`t suprised, & my DH is so angry with my Mother, she is a real B--ch to me.
We are having a much nicer day here in Sydney today,& a cool change has come through.thank god,now maybe some of us can get some sleep, lol.
Sorry ladies don`t feel up to doing Personels tonight,I can honestly feel the "Zoloft" starting up again,I?m sitting here crying tonight, but this seems to be happening regularly to me,not sure if it could even be PMS! Talk soon, everyone.
-
 Susan I am sorry your mother was like that :(
-
-
:grouphug: have a hug Susan
Janine - I am sure Jake will sleep through again for you hon.
Tinsel - Sara has never pooed in the bath but Loren sure made up for it, I think she's done it 3 times now. Sara refuses to have a bath with her just in case. Re childcare if you get Monique settled into daycare well then I would actually keep her there part-time once you have bub. That way you don't have to get her used to it all over again iykwim. Additionally if bub number 2 gets used to you dropping off Monique than starting bub might not be as difficult. I hope you get some more sleep hon.
Dh says he won't come to the 20wk scan because he doesn't want to ruin my experience if bub turns out to be a girl. He tends to go quiet and won't talk because he is disappointed, in turn that upsets me because I don't care what sex baby we have. So if I go by myself and bub is a boy, I am thinking of telling him it is a girl anyway. I figure he'd get a huge surprise at the birth! What do you think?
Sara spent the nigth at my Dad's place last night and Loren went to bed no worries. DH and I actually got to sit down by 8.30pm, and feel asleep on the lounge at 9.30pm:rolleyes:
-
susan - how terrible your mum saying that! If i was as lucky as you i would be having LOTS of babies too. Its a blessing your able to have them, dont think otherwise!!
Bekz - i can understand hubby wanting a boy but its a bit sad he will be upset and wont come to the ultrasound. Maybe just dont tell him the sex at all and say if he wont come then dont find out at all till its born.....?? is he forgetting it is the mans fault what sex they are!! LOL Hope he doesnt make it a harder time for you if its a pink bundle.
Adkins - yes ive condsidered the face to face thing, but as Rob still lives at home with them, it would be hard to rock up at there door and garentee if he was at work or not. Plus with a letter i got more juicy detail in and had the time to think about what i really wanted to say.
Maybe they did get the letter and have egnored it, so if i rocked up there i would look like an idiot... so i really dont know.
-
It must be so frustrating Lauren
I had the worst night with Olivia.. I was so tired I went to bed at 10.. I couldn't sleep though was really nervy last nigght (simon on nights) Olivia woke at 12 I think it was and was still awake at 1. Poor thing was so hot (it was super muggy here last night) I should have just turned the Ac on but I just didn't feel like it lol.. We slept on the couch with the fan blowing right on us..
feeling pretty darn tired right now I can tell you
-
Yep VERY frustrating....
Nic - wat does simon do again?? I hate muggy nights... I had the fan on a couple nights ago and ash woke at 2am completely FULL of energry and just kept wanting to crawl out of bed and play with the fan GGRRHH he sits by it and says round and round and round and waves his arm - took me 1 hour to get him back into bed and asleep.! i dont mind if he gets up to play - i still stay in bed - but when theres a fan on....!! So now i just put up with the heat, well as much as i can anyways...
Bekz - love the ticker! lol
Today is a very borring day here.. im going a little nutty. mums dog had surgery yesterday, his eye lashes were growing on the inside of his eye lids and scratching his eye balls which were making him go blind... - weird huh - lol so he had to have them all cut out and his face is full of stiches and has a bucket on his head so as mum is working ive got baby sitting duties... you can imagin Ash - its like putting a christmas tree on the dogs head!!! So im looking after the dog whilst fighting ash off him. There both finally asleep, thankgod!
-
He works at the smelter here making aluminium.. Drives cranes and works in a hot place
LOL at the image of the dog.. hehe.. and Ash tying to play with him...
-
Susan i wish i could say something to help lift your spirits but TBH i dont know what would help iykwim. Just remember you ARE loved by "your" family (and us BB girls) so stuff your mum- easier said than done i know. I really hope today is a better day for you. Tell dadofmany i said he has to be extra specially nice this weekend.
Bek- Maybe get DH to go to the ultra sound but ask the sex to be written on a piece of paper an put it in an envelope for later. That way you have his support whilst there but dont have to deal with his disappointment til a later date iykwim. I had a friend do this and then they got there 6yo to open and read the sex out at a family get together which i thought was a lovely idea as the 6yo felt so involved.
Nic- I hear you on the nerves when DH is away i hate going out in the evening and coming home to an empty house whilst DH is away. Mind you i am sleeping ok as i am that knackered by bed time lol.
Well went to breaky this mo and then MIL took dd1 to the beach so just molly and i for a few hrs and she's in bed. I am off to play on my wii fit for an hr  i think i'm a bit obsessive. Lost nearly 5kg now and only 4 to go to get to my goal. I cant see it and i dont feel any smaller but the skirt i put on this mo was tight a few wks ago and fits lovely now so that was a great feeling and has made me even more motivated
Have a good weekend ladies
-
oh I was tired.. I was so darn tired but just couldn't fall asleep.. Every sound woke me last night..
I am so paying for a bad night right now.. I keep dropping off to sleep and when I get up to do something it just makes me tireder, Boys are driving me nuts, Olivia was but she is napping now thank goodness..
Enjoy your quiet time Hoody. I am on a mission to lose weight this year. I haven't lost anything yet but its a bonus I haven't gained anything either  Once school starts I will be walking or riding most days.. so fingers crossed it falls off
-
nic- hope you get a rest soon or even better a super early night with lots of sleep.
-
Nic - I always have a horrible night the first and last night Rob is away. I hope you get some rest today.
Hoody - Good idea regarding writting the sex on paper. WTG on the weight loss. I lost 4kgs before we conceived this bub, I think I was about 4kgs off my target. I am excersing 4 days per week and trying to eat healthy. I really need to watch my weight this time around. Keep us posted with your progress.
Lauren -My DH is well aware that the man determinds the sex that is why he gets so upset. I keep telling him that he makes perfect little girls so why muck with the recipe!!!!
Maybe Rob's parents need time to digest the news. If you send another letter to them send it registered post so that they have to sign for it before they recieve it, that way you'll know that Rob won't get to it first.
It is 6.45am and hot already. Sara got me up at 5.45am this morning...:(
-
Bek: Sorry I missed your original post about your US and finding out the sex., Have you thought about leaving it and not finding out at all?
Weather wise its quite pleasant here this morning. I turned the AC off cus it was a little cool in here. It is very overcast and looks like it rained a bit last night..
Olivia was driving me nuts last night. I don't know how to stop that screaming. Its one thing when she is playing but its another when she is screaming because I am not right there or I can't/won't pick her up.. Its doing my head in  I don't want to be deaf
I went to bed at 10:30 an Olivia woke as I was cleaning my teeth *sigh* So I went and lay on the couch with her and we both fell asleep till midnight I put her to bed and thats where she stayed till 5:45am..
Whats everyones plans for today?
-
Nic - I have no idea what you should do with Olivia and her night screaming. I guess try and work out why she is screaming first ( I guess if you could that then it is prob solved). When Loren wakes up I just go into her room and put her back down, sometimes I sit in her room until she settles but I don't look at her or talk to her, I just give her a pat and then wait for her to get comfy and go back to sleep.
I have thought of not finding out the sex but I would rather DH be disapointed at the scan and get over it. I would hate for him to feel badly at the birth iykwim.
Today we will be hanging out with Rob's uncle and neice who are visiting from Sydney. We were supposed to go out on a day trip but Rob's uncle broke his arm last night whilst ice-skating. Poor bugger!!
Hi to all
-
Bekz - thats prob a good idea finding out now then. Im sure once he sees his little bundle hell be just as much in love no matter what. Do you think if this one is a girl youll go for number 4 ?? LOL
Nic - We are having a dinner tonight with family for my birthday so LOTS of cleaning up to do and gardening... which is soooo hard trying to watch Ash and the dog and clean at the same time.
Im dying to have a shower but soooo much to do and mum need to go out so im on my own doing it.... :(
-
Bek: Livi doesn't just scream at night its all day.. when it is in fun it doesn't bother me so much but when she screams cus I am not doing exactly what she wants it drives me mental.. I think I need to get outsid with her more, She was screaming at me all morning unless I was in the same room so at 8 I dressed the kids and we went for a walk (in the drizzle lol) and she was so happy.. We wnt to the park and she ran around for a while then I saw more heavier rain coming so we decided to head hom and now she is napping nicely..
I am aiming to lose 20 kg this year so girls i really need the motivation.. I want to walk for at least 40 mins every day.. Today was 40 mins but we were gone for an hour and a bit
Lauren: I just can't gt the cleaning done these days either.. I end up getting very frustrated, winter months aren't so bad lol.. I think th eheat combined with whiny kids gets to me..
Hope you have fun tonight..
-
hear you on the cleaning as well and I only have a VERY small 2 bedroom flat with 3 kids, sorry 2 kids and a husban (same thing).
I have a black tie ball to go to in mid March and nothing to wear, tried having a look today but they were all way out of my proce range, will have to head back to the inner/western suburbs, East Sydney is a rip off.
-
Nic - I have to get my little beasts out of the house at least twice in the day. Loren just loves being outside. For motivation check out the diet and weight loss section on BB or join/follow the 2009 Body Transformation thingy they have going.
Hi all, we just spent 5 hours at the park. We had a mild 27 degree day, it was so nice to be outdoors and not be struck down by the heat. You'd think my kids would be exhausted but no they are running around like madmen...Only 1 hour till bed
Buzzie - Absolutely no number 4 coming to our place!!!! I will be getting my tubes tied soon after this bub is born. I am getting too old hon.
-
Hi everyone,
We got out of the house today too. We went down to Williamstown (beach suburb) to a craft market and a car show. I didn't buy anything but cam home with a nice sunburn on my chest as the t-shirt I was wearing had a lower neckline than I usually wear
We also spent about 5 hours out yesterday going for a walk, lunch out and a visit to the park. I think that is my exercise for the next week ;) Actually I am with Nic on trying to get out more this year, it helps me feel better and it helps to wear Olivia out.
-
Hi all,
Just a quick one, i've been a bit slack, sorry...
Lauren- Hope you had a good b'day party :)
Nic- I hear you on the screaming, but don't know whow to fix it... Ty is so demanding at the moment, screams if he doesn't get what he wants the second he wants it
Hi Bek and Alicia :D
Ok gotta go tend to my dh, he is waiting for me to join him on the lounge and watch some boring Sunday night movie
-
sooooo tired here tonight after my day out and about  Olivia and Jacob haven't long gone to bed *faint* so late.. Oh well fingers crossed they sleep later then 6:30 tomorrow (hahah)
Sounds like everyone has had a nice day today.
-
We had a lovely night here too, ate soooo much! hehe
And Ash slept pretty good too, only woke a few times..
Thats so good everyones getting out, i love getting Ash out on his bike! :D
Bekz - thats a good idea about sending the letter registered, i so wish i did that first off.
Off to go get some work shoes today... ahhhhh start on wednesday, gees its come quick....
Have a great day everyone.
-
Hi all,
Nic- How did the cherubs sleep for you hun?
Buzzie- Wednesday! Wow that is soon... I'm excited for you hun  I know you might not be feeling too excited about it right now (a bit worried) but I am jealous :D
TBH, everything is pretty boring here. Ty has been a whingy feral since he got his needles  but that usually happens for a week or so afterward. Poor kid now has 12 teeth- 3 top middle, 3 bottom middle, and 2 molars, top and bottom on each side. They are really bugging him at the moment. And trying to brush his teeth when his mouth is so sore is not easy...
Going to visit my rellos and their bleeping yappy dogs today. i hate it- poor Ty gets stuck in the playpen while the dogs get run of the house. And of course, they won't put them outside. But they don't drive to come over and see me and I haven't seen them since Xmas so I have to go.
Wish me luck
