Hi girls! another rainy afternoon here...sigh.....:wall:
Lori- Hi hun,yep I?m in Parramatta,a meet up would be lovely at some time,Iam sure the little ones will love it...he he he...
Nic-Hi,not much happening around here either, but the kids are so sick of being inside!
Lauren- Hi,good on you for setting some ground rules, your one tough cookie, lol.I really hope everything works out well for you and Ash,you both deserve it hun.
Bek z- Hello, WOW another Princess, that is so cool! I would love another little girl & so would DH. Congrats!!! :cheer:
Well not much going on around here atm,I can`t believe all this bloomin rain we are getting!
Tinarose- Hi how are you going?
Bek - Yay another little princess. How is DH? I can see you with four bubbies so good luck for the blue bundle next time ;) BTW your friend doesn't know how lucky she is to have a great friend like you.
Lauren - that is so excellent that Ash will know the other side of the family.
MoM - Hi there. Sorry to hear you still have the lurgy there. Monique actually faired quite well after we kept her home. Just a bit snotty here and there but not too bad.
Teena - Hi how are you and the girls going?
Lori - sounds like you were spoilt on the weekend. Lucky you.
I'm into my third week at work and I don't think I really want to be there. It's nice to see everyone again though and catch up. I only have 14 weeks to go and putting money in the bank and I go to lunch and a walk with DH every day so it can't all be bad.
Hello lovely ladies.........i hang my head in shame again at the lack of posting.
Been super busy as my best friend is getting married fri and i am maid on honour  Had the hens night and stuff this weekend gone and have helped with some other stuff plus also had my twin sisters baby shower. DD1 is also unwell with her asthma again. Just got back from the hosy and she will not sleep. All the ventalin and nebs just put her on a high. She started Sat but has got progressively worse. She is flower girl on fri so i am hoping she is better by then.
Molly is doing well. We have an appt on thur to get a referral to the childhood development centre. Her leg seems to be getting worse and she is getting more and more frustrated. She is so close to walking but after 2-3 steps her leg just rolls out from underneath her. I am getting a bit frustrated too as every 2nd person seems to have an opinion on what sore of treatment she should be having iykwim. Esp the IL's.
DH is off tomo arvo so having some much needed me time to do the food shopping and having my nails done then my hair done wed and a spray tan on thur..........a very nice week for me.
Hope all mums bubs and bumps are well.
Tinsel- sorry you dont want to be at work but at least you have a light at the end of the tunnel :)
Bek- YAY on another girl :)
Hoody - Hugs re both your girls. Molly must be so frustrated.
Tinsel - DH is quiet but ok. He is a lot better this time around than with Loren. 4 babies!!! OMG I don't think I can cope with they 2 I've got atm. Don't stress about work. I really regret not going back between SAra and Loren. Enjoy the time in adult company hon.
We my "friend" had her baby 4/5 weeks early at 1.30am this morning. Thankfully Maja Alekandra is a healthy 3kgs. She is having attachment issues but mum and bub are ok.
I don't know what is wrong with me today. I just feel like having a good cry. I think the last week with Loren being sick, my friend and her issues, my scan (I was so freaking nervous) and Loren starting care tomorrow has taken its toll. Deep breathing is what I need.
Hi all,
Argh and I here I was thinking I had avoided morning sickness  yeah right I have been so sick the last three days I can hardly move. I went and bought some of those sea sickness bands from the chemist and the actually seem to be working so far (yep, I'm desperate, I'll try anything).
Lauren- That sounds promisisng so far. I hope he calls and starts to make arrangements to see Ash soon. And you are very right to take it slow too.
Bek- Yay on the girl!!! If it turns out I'm having a boy I'll swap ya
Tinsel- 14 weeks will fly by hun, work will be over before you know it.
Ok I've gotta go Ty is screaming his head off and dh is as usual just standing there. Be back later.
Discipline may be too hard of a word, but I am fast learning that my DD has a very determined attitude which is fine but I don't want to let her get away with too much and it just be harder to correct in the long run.
I would really like to not use the word No, but what are my other options? All examples would be appreciated.
Unfortunately, I don't get in here very often due to me working full time and DH working shift work but I knwo this is the place that will give me the most honest answers.
Thanks
Kts: I tell Olivia NO quite firmly and explain why she can't.. for example she is always touching the stereo.. I can't move it so she has to learn that no she can;t touch/. I move her away and say NO you can't touch that because you will break it.. She is touching it less and less these days. Maybe goes near it 2-3 times a day
As for other things.. sometimes she will crack a tanty when putting her in her car seat.. We either ignore or say you have to do this and it will only be for a short time..
Congrats Bekz.. hows hubby holding up?? lol
so did u settle on a name??
Lori - are u hoping for a girl?
Congrats Bekz on your little princess. Do you have any names? Glad to hear that all her parts look to be in order.
Well i am soo happy with Alex. i just went to a teacher/parent thingy that they have at my school every year. Alex is in the top 6 students in his class. Woohoo all my hard work has payed off. He was also invited to the 12 page recorder cup group.
i am off tomorrow to meet jack's teacher. Him and Alex are like chalk and cheese. Jack doesnt want to learn unless there are trains involved. Although today we had a break threw cause he could write with a pink pen. There is light, charlie seems to want to do the same homework as Jack but i dont know whether i should encourage this or send him to play as it is one on one time with Jacky.
Sorry ladies will try to do personals later on. Ethan appears to have a cold with a rash? Going to call the after hours doctor out after 6.
Hi I'm back again,
Lauren- Yep, definately hoping for a girl (oops sorry- I mean I don't care either way as long as it is healthy )
kts- Yep, like Nic I use NO a lot. No and shaking my head. Ty gets it- he even stands there shaking his head at himself if he's touching something he' not allowed. Just curious, why don't you want to use no?
Jas- Poor Ethan. Ty's been a bit under the weather lately too, it's not nice for anyone.
Ok, I think that's everyone I missed before.
I am home alone tonight. Dh is in hospital overnight to get an infection cut out of his hand and the bone scraped (ewwww!) Remember ages ago when i said he's put a screwdriver through his hand, playing with the fish tank? Well it turned into a massive bacterial infection and, of course, the pain is killing him  it's a good thing the blokes don't have the babies.
So.... eating chocolate for dinner. How's everyone else?
I am just ho humming my way through till the kids go to bed
Once they are asleep I am going across the road ti sit and chat till bed time lol.. don't worry i will have my baby monitor and will be outside and can see my house.. (we are right across the road)
Simon is on night shift.. Its nice to not have to stare blankly at the Tv or computer tonight
yep had my chocolate for dinner too lol. so cant be bothereed tonight.
ash is just beyond feral. hes been so sick this last week, threw up a couple times during the night which wasnt fun, and hes just winging and crying at anything and everything... very frustrating, but i keep trying to remind myself i get cranky when im sick too.
Had to pick him up from childcare today cos he was so miserable.. but i wasnt working so that was ok, but tomorrow i am and am very worried! :(
 Lauren! I have to remind myself when Jacob is having a feral day that he isn't feeling 100% either.. Its hard though.. fingers crossed he is better tomorrow
Olivia was just so darn adorable tonight.. She had her booby then cleaned her teeth and then when she was looking tired I picked her u[ but she didn't want more boo boo so we got her cup of water which she was so excited to see (thirsty girl she is) she lay on my lap drank half a cup of water and for the next 15-20 mins she talked softly to me and stroked my face till she fell asleep.. I tells ya if its possible I feel in love with her all over again..
Nic- Awwww that is so cute. Ty hasn't wanted to kiss me or cuddle me much since he stopped the booby.... almost two weeks :( You're so lucky to have a friend across the road like that- I have one down the road but the baby monitor doesn't work that far away ;)
And Lauren  hun hang on in there... it's so yucky when they're sick, stretches my patience biiiiiiig time.
Wow....morning ladies. I?m so excited, some lovely person has given me a Random Act of Kindness. I got up early this morning with DH & thought i would get on here before the kids woke. I couldn`t believe it. A BIG THANKYOU to the kind hearted person who was thinking of me
Gee I cant wait ti find out who gave this to me,i wonder if they would pm,me!
Well,I?m of to the Doctor`s this morning, kieren is still un well,so i think he needs to be checked out again.
Happy Birthday to Trish.....Where are you hun, lol.Have a great day!
I will be back later to do Personals, I?m on cloud 9 atm.......
susan: Trish won't be coming into BB anymore.. You will have to chat with her via FB
I have woken with the worst headache :( Prob a combination of not enough water and a late night.. :( it hurts
Oh no.. no more Trish? Will have to hassle her on FB :) Hope nothing horrible happened on BB for her, I didn't think she'd been around much to have anything happen?
Well, we were at the hospital til about 2am last night, turns out Tallon has asthma :( Poor little man. His cough just got worse and his breathing became so laboured in the afternoon. Took him the medical centre (our dr was closed) and they sent us to the hospital. He was on the nebuliser which helped a bit. They did chest x-rays and blood tests to see if it was a lower chest infection like pneumonia, but nothing showed (he did have a high temp when we got there, but think it was his red ears causing that) and the steroids did the trick. He seems much better this morning. They reckon it was triggered by the change in weather and his cold. Lets hope that's all that ever triggers it. Random asthma attacks scare me.
Well better go, sorry the post was all about us, will try to catch up properly later,
