Morning all,
Trish -i bought 2 boxes yesterday! saved $24.. nice! lol at DP tho.. the crawlers are pretty big.. i ant believe ash is in them. hehe
xtml - i hear u on buying new undies!! i bought heaps wen i went into hospital and i felt so much better i recovery.. i know in hospitals bit different but its nice to feel decent! hehe
I've got my post natal apt at the hospital today, so they can ask a million questions about parenthood and see if im already completely insane LOL i dont mind going i guess, but if i get that physco woman who was convienced i was crazy during my pregnancy im going to walk out!
hello everyone else..... better go enjoy the quiet whilst its here :)
Well Another school year started. Ethan at school.. miss him already  Olivia a little moody today  Wants to be held I think but it is just to hot.. Might need a nap as she was in the car when she usually has her morn nap and fell asleep on the way home and didn't sleep long once we got home.. Wil try shortly to get her down for another nap..
I still haven't gone for my 6 week check.. woops..
And Happy 10 weeks to my baby girl..
Morning ladies....
Chrissie finally went to sleep after waking at 9am for food!! Better go have my shower and eat some brekkie before she wakes up!
bbl!!.... i hope!!
xxx
Hee hee no start to the school year for me this year! Must remember to sms all my teacher friends later and give them a hard time lol
Nic - I would love to take Olivia swimming but can't until my wound is healed. I was planning on taking her to baby swim lessons, which start at about 3-4 months at the pool here, so hopefully by then everything will be right. Glad to hear it makes the bubs sleep so well :-)
Lauren - Ash isn't really in crawlers is he? Olivia is still wearing the newborn nappies. They are just starting to get a bit too tight around her leg now.
Lara - DH bought me a beautiful white satin slip/nightie and supersoft dressing gown for Christmas to 'make me feel special'. I am waiting to wear them when I am all healed and feel normal again, I can't wait.
We had a good night here. Olivia went to sleep at about 11:30 and didn't wake til 6:30. Too bad DH and I were stupid and stayed up til 1am watching a movie.
Happy 10 weeks QLD Olivia and Happy 8 weeks to my VIC Olivia! :-)
Good job on loosing weight girls!!!.. i've lost 14kg since the birth and am 10kg lighter than i was at beginning of PG, i was lucky and only gained 4kg while PG.. although the fat/skin has shifted a bit and am finding my belly has a little bit more to pack into my jeans! well hopefully that flabby belly will start to look better once the exercising starts! here's hoping anyway!
I know how hard it is NOT to buy things for Chrissie!! I try to buy bigger sizes when i can so that i don't have all the same sizes!... but it's hard when you see something CUTE that you want to use NOW!! LOL.... by the way... we have made the transition into 000 now... and they look like they wont last that long either! :o today i'm going to put Chrissie on the kitchen scales and see how much she weighs!... As for nappies.... they are also getting tight around the legs and the velcro bits are out to the sides now... i've got one more box of newborns, so am hoping i can squeeze her into those before i have to get a bigger size...!
re nappies at Woolies/Safeway - well!! last time i bought the nappies for $29 a box... i bought 3 boxes of the newborn ones... 2 of them had smaller sized nappies in them... with the printing upside down and "different" and one of the boxes was "regular" newborn size.... so i think that they use that price to get rid of "faulty" nappies!! because there was a HUGE difference!...just something to be aware of!
re clothes/underwear - well i'm waiting for this stupid bleeding to stop altogether so i can go buy some nice undies!! I also can't work out what i used to wear LAST summer as i can't find anything to wear!! want to go clothes shopping but am waiting to see if i loose anymore weight... anyway... summer is nearly over i guess, so might just wait it out until autumn/winter...!
We may also be going overseas again this year...( we usually go visit Dh sister and family in Greece in winter..there summer) so i need to know... cause then i would have to buy some summer stuff to fit Chrissie for then and something for me. as when we went last year i was PG and wore maternity clothes!! DH can't make up his mind whether we are going or not! arg!!! poor Chrissie wont have ANY sumer clothes if we DO go!!
We also have to decide on a date for her baptism! arg! DH doesn't want to think about it!..... he's so bad with stuff like that!! My ILs are leaving April/May for Greece again ( they do 6 months here and 6 months there with their daughter) so we have to decide when so they can book their tickets!! Plus organizing the church and a venue for after and invites etc!!! Yes it is a big deal in a Greek family!! :cryinglaugh:
sorry for such a long winded, self absorbed post, but i had to vent that my DH is driving me crazy!!
xxx
Alicia - Ash has been in crawlers for 2 weeks now LOL hes not a fat baby so i dont know where it comes from.... hehe i should be getting a new laptop soon so ill put all my pics on it and start putting them on here :)
Ive just booked Ash in to have his hands and feet sculptured and framed next week!! yay how exciting! :)
 haroula! they all drive us nuts from time to time.. I am yet to set a date for Olivia's but it was going to be the 15th March but that isn't possible now so unfort it might be end of April. I really wanted it in March tho.. Ours will just be really small.. Just immediate family
Alicia: Happy 8 weeks to Vic Olivia and I think happy 6 weeks to WA Olivia or am I a few days late/early??
Olivia is wearing the Snugglers "up to 8kg" and the huggies "4-6kg"
Now I am loving this new sleep routine but she is only sleeping for an hour at a time.. hopefully she goes down again in an hour for at least 2 hours..
Hi all - Oh what a hideous day I had yesterday...!! (You already know all about it aussienic lol) Let's just say I was in a bit of a state when DP got home & Scarlett had been awake ALL DAY with just naps on my shoulder or while bfing until I tried (how dare I?) to put her down.
Last night was all good however, I'm a big fan of this co-sleeping business.... soooooooo much easier..... I am not saying anything about what she is doing now or what I hope she does because as soon as I do that she wakes up & does the freakin opposite like she is reading my mind or something.... *cue spooky music*
xtml - Sounds great about the new underwear... if only I were brave enough to go to a shopping centre with Miss!! I can make it to Woolworths & a walk in the park, but the nearest shopping centre still seems like it would be quite the ordeal. Good luck on sorting out Mylo's rash.
Haroula - I have still been wearing my mat clothes, but most of them aren't really mat clothes, just roomy ones lol. I feel alot smaller now not being pg but my weight hasn't come down too much which is a suprise as I find I hardly have time to eat lol.
With all this talk of spossies, anybody in here use cloth? (How is it going for you Dayl? I am loving it... Scally has had 1 spossie on her & that was in hossie when some new nurse brought me some when I asked for nappies, expecting her to bring the cloth ones...) I am just using old school terry flats but do have a couple of MCNs, will maybe invest in some more when Scally is a bit bigger, the flats are fine for her atm, I think her huge fluffy butt is cute lol.
Aussienic, I don't envy you having to get Ethan ready for school ontop of everything else...! Was he excited to be going back?
Alicia - what a great sleep Olivia had... when did she start to sleep so long at night?! I know I have quite a while to go lol, would just like something to look forward to...!!
Well, the washing is almost done so I better get ready to hang it out... oh, that's the one annoying thing about cloth nappies... THE DOG KEEPS RIPPING THEM OFF THE LINE!!! Grrr... if she wasn't almost as big as me I'd PIN HER to the clothes line... ;)
BBL... maybe... probably not...
Well after my last post I thought Olivia was awake but nope and is now up to 2 hours being asleep lol. I thought she was awake just now but her arm was stuck out the side of the cradle.. so I think it almost time for the cot... sigh! wrapped a flanny cot sheet around the edges the other night and she topped banging her head but she wiggled down and her arm was hanging out!
QM: he was excited because at 7:30 he got cranky cus I said no he couldn't go to school just yet! I could tell he was nervous when we got there tho. He was talking and talking more then usual.. I so hope he has a good day. I get so nervous for him. not around him but after he is gone kwim? and I have it heaps compared to Trish and Teena.. they have more then one child to get off to school...
Trish: hope today went smoothly for you..
Teena: one week to go woot!!
QM, Both Liz and I use MCN too. Abbey has been in them from birth. Not completely though from day 1, they were too big on her. But now the only time she wears a sposie is if they are all on the line or if DP changes her. We have heaps of them, so it's rare that we run out. And now that Abbey is growing bigger she fits into more of her nappies. Have you been to the cloth nappy thread ? If you think this one is fast that one will blow your mind.
Nic, half your luck with Olivia sleeping so good during the day. I shouldn't say too much Abbey is going quiet good today too, esp after that mammoth effort last night. WooHoo at Ethan being back at school. Noah starts on Thursday. Yeeehaaaa!!!
Haroula, lucky you going on an oversea's holiday again. Keep you eye out on ebay if your going, people still sell summer stuff in winter.
Lauren, I keep forgetting to book Abbey in for the molds. Tehya was done at the baby expo, that isn't until May this year I think and I want her's done sooner. LOL at Ash in his crawlers nappies already. Little chubba bubba. Too cute. Perhaps he's just long ??
Xtml, how nice is it to have new undies. I got myself some after I had Abbey too. Yup, I was still wearing the undies from when Tehya was born :(
Alicia, YAY for a good night for you hun. I always do that when my babies go to bed early. Never clever enough to follow them. One day I will learn.
What is it with little girls. Teh is constantly pulling clothes out of her drawers and tossing them on the floor, or changing herself a dozen times over. Her room is trashed. It's either that or the bathroom sink that she has discovered she can climb onto the bathtub and reach the taps. Now she's OCD about washing her hands.
I have lost all but 7 or so kgs. Not too bad considering I put on 22kgs, still my thighs rub together and I HATE it.
We were out on Sunday and a friend of DP's brother asked me " When's your next baby due or are you just abit over weight?" Mind you I was holding Abbey at the time. I think I looked like I had my face slapped, it sure felt like it. I just replied "She is 8 weeks old!! And I have 5 bloody kids !!" As you can see I was less than impressed.
Hi guys, just been lurking as I dont have alot of time lately for much of anything (hence why my house looks like the local garbage tip!).
We're ok, could be better. Some days I wonder why I had another one when my first was at the easy and independent stage now, but mostly I just cant wait for this baby stage to be O-V-E-R. Jett completely spoilt us by being an awesome, easy going baby - although Ripley is lovely he is needy and cranky which adds about 10 extra hours onto my day *sigh* I think he might have reflux or colic or something because he has some beautiful moments and periods (like right now) where he settles/sleeps fine and I can have a life, but mostly its waaaaaaaahwaaaaaaaaaaaaah even though he's fed, changed, burped, hugged etc etc He also makes choking sounds, esp after a feed, like he's brought something up and swallowed it back down. He is cute though and I just love him. He's gotten so big already, a month old tomorrow
Just a little woohoo for me - tomorrow Ripley will be 4wks old and is also the point where I gave up b/feeding Jett and switched to formula full time. This time - no formula has been used and b/feeding is still going great guns  Im so happy. I just wanted to make it this far and I have, even though its been real tough.
Hope everyone else is having a good day! Id better go have some lunch and Im making a lasagne for dinner so I need to get cracking on that while its quiet on the front :)
ETA - Im currently sitting at my pre preg weight (60kg) and am thinking of trying to lose another 5kgs but Im not too stressed, apparently I look fabulous for 2 kids under 2 (I get sick of people saying it too me, like its horrible if you dont?) What they dont see if the stretchmarks and cottage cheese thighs, I didnt escape completely unscathed. My friend and I are starting at the gym next week to try and tone up a bit - we're hopeless slackers so we're thinking we'll be able to motivate each other. Im considering pole dancing classes but it would mean Id have to express and leave a bottle for Rip with Dh, atm expressing isnt going so great. I have 80ml frozen in the freezer so far, from two attempts at expressing. I figure by the time the kids 3mths I'll have enough for 1 night out :cryinglaugh:
did you slap him or what?? OMg i would have been mortified if someone said that to me..
Olivia is still asleep.. I have baked some muffins and a cake with the boys done some tidying.. ho hum lol.. going out for tea tonight so was realy hoping the boys would have a sleep but no such luck..
I even miss Ethan  I talk to much too! :)
I have been thinking I want to do something like a course .. I feel a bit dumb this week. I have been out of the work force for to long and I dunno its getting to me this week :( Everyone I know works and I feel so left out and have nothing adult to talk about **sigh*
Victoria - Olivia started sleeping longer at night from about 5 weeks, however she did have a bad week last week so I am glad she is getting back into the good routine she had started.
Nic - I know what you mean. I was crying to DH just yesterday that I have nothing interesting to talk about at the moment! Have looked into doing a course by correspondence (maybe my masters) but will probably wait til next year.
Olivia and I went to Mothers Group this arvo. It was the massage class and I was really looking forward to it, however little Miss obviously decided she wasn't! As soon as the class started she started screaming the place down because she had decided she was STARVING and needing feeding NOW! So the other babies got a nice massage and she got formula - silly girl.
oh my!! what a horrible afternoon
Olivia is on my lap screaming, I know that sounds bad but nothing I do is settling her , she just had a lovely bath and feed but beats me whats up. Isaac is screaming the house down so that might be it. by golly he is having a whopper of a tanty....
Alicia: lol at Olivia.. Maybe next time she will be in the mood for it.. Maybe you should have got someone to feed her and got yorself a massage
Hi lovely ladies!
QM: Yep, another cloth user here! I'm an MCN girl - thanks to my mum! Too unco for flats I think - they'd end up around his knees... I have BumGenius and Tots Bots bamboos, and have a wildchild purple minky on order and have a few other things on my wish-list because they are just tooo cute, and being summer in Nth Qld he never wears clothes, just nappies, so they may as well look really good... And I don't find the washing a problem at all, it's pretty easy actually. Why don't you come and join the cloth nappies general discussion thread - they're a really good bunch! Oh, and yay on the good night sleep - I really felt for you yesterday - I think we've all had days like that...
Haroula - sounds like you have a few logistical challenges! My old boss is Greek, and her family is huge, not to mention the extended family/community! They took their kids over for a holiday last year and the kids loved it!
Buzzie - yay on getting Ash's feet sculptured. Re; nappy sizes. It's funny how different babies are such different sizes at the same age. My DP works for Toys'R'Us and sees babies that are six months old that are only a little bigger than Euan, but they are all completely normal!
Nic, Trish and all of the other schoolie mums - hope your big bubbas had a good first day at school!
Trish - yay on Abbey's big sleep!
Xtml - nice one on getting your sexy back with new undies! I hope that mylo's rash clears up. Euan gets a bit of heat rash from time to time, I just try to keep him cool and it clears up, but if you hear of a specific solution I'd love to hear it!
We've had a great day (after a week or so of grumpy, overtired, gassy baby and tired, miserable mummy). After being convinced that Euan was just never going to self-settle and I will be carrying him to sleep until he is 21, I managed to get him to self settle in the cot today!!! I've been watching like a hawk for his tired signs and it's been working! Un-freaking-believable!!! Admittedly, we gave in last night and gave him a dummy (he had always refused it up until now, which I was secretly pleased about), but after hours of screaming, we were happy with whatever worked! And he has been so much happier today. Fingers crossed that it lasts!
Oh, I see that there have been about a million posts since I started this... Dang. Hi to those I've missed!
Today I just felt like I have missed all of Loren's cues. I just could not settle her from about 2pm till now midnight!!!!! All arvo she survived on catnaps and every time I got her to sleep she would jump and wake herself up or her darling sister would scream and wake her. I now have her strapped to me and I am hoping that she'll transfer into her cot...wish me luck.
Oh it sounds like we have good and bad luck with picking our bubs' cues! I am OK with Ollie but Flynn has been awake since 3.30am (its now 5.05am!) whinning in his cot.....
Alicia LOL at Olivia refusing a massage - silly girl!
Trish - how stupid - you look ace in all your pics!
Nic, IKWYM about wanting to go to work - its only been a few months and I feel out of it. I think its cause I haven't worked full time since before Flynn was born I really feel out of the loop with regards to work :(
Anna - being at your pre-pg weight is fantastic - I am back to counting points (after falling off the wagon) so will hopefully join you. I realised I only have another 7 months before I aim to be pg again so I better get moving :)
QM I am using cloth too - plain flannel flats for both boys though I do have 4 MCNs for Flynn.
Better go - Flynn still whining. New pics in gallery by the way - incl one of Flynn sticking his fingers up my nose!!!
Great pics Rory. Love the one of the boys together in bed. Oh and of course the one in the shower.
Bek, I am so hearing you on the other kid (or kids in my house) waking the baby. Noah and Tehya are fighting right now, trying their best to wake Abbey. Gives you the craps when it has taken you ages to get them to sleep too. Huge hugs huni. Hopefully today is a better day
Suse, you do what you need to do. If that means using that dummy then so be it. I chat occassionally in the cloth nappy thread but it's so busy in there it's easy to get lost, even for a chatterbox like me.
Nic, hugs huni. I hope Olivia snapped out of it for you lastnight. It's crap when you do everything you can to settle them and they are still screaming. Would be nice if they could just tell us what was wrong with them. Oh that's right, they call those ones 3 year olds.
Oh and if your killing for adult convo just go on BB ;) Either that or msn me. I'm nearly always up for a chat. I am supposed to be doing my doula course via correspondence. I tell you it's hard to get motivation withthe kids around all the time.
Alicia, what a shame Olivia missed out on her massage. I hope you got some good tips while you were there anyway. And I like Nic's suggestion of you handing over bub and getting the massage yourself.
Anna, I think it makes it really tough if you have a "good" baby first time around. When you get a bub that's more challenging it really throws you. Maybe it's a good thing for me that none of mine have been really easy babes. Or not ;)WooHoo for the great breastfeeding too hun. WTG, your doing an awesome job.
Abbey slept pretty good yesterday, until the afternoon that is. Then she decided to stay awake or just catnap and fuss when she was awake. I will say though that she is getting better in her wake up times. She doesn't cry as much. Please don't jinx me. LOL. Abbey went down around 9.30 lastnight but decided that 3.15 was her wake up time, and she wanted to play, I fed her and just left her in bed next to me. She was fed another 2 times before she was finally drunk enough to fall to sleep. Tehya kindly woke me up at sparrows fart though.
I really should get into the shower while Abbey is asleep. We have swimming again today, only Tehya this morning, Noah's class is changed to the arvo for school, so I have to go at 11am and 5.30pm, grrrr, what a pita, going to make for very cold trips in the winter time. Esp if I have to take Abbey out. Hopefully because it is so late DP will be able to take him and I can stay at home nice and warm :D
Aww man, I keep missing the new threads starting! LOL. I find this thread so hard to keep up with.
Not much news this end. Kayla's tummy seems to have settled. She still farts like .. well.. like her father! LOL.. but it doesn't seem to distress her so much these days.
We're having lovely awake times (some of the time) she goos and gaahs and has lots of smiles if she's in the mood. Other times it's back to screaming LOL. Perhaps I just don't read her cues properly. hehe. If I get her cues right, she self settles beautifully in her cot, or lies there happily like she is now! She holds herself up really well too, always swaying about when I hold her up to my shoulder.
OK, must go feed the boy.
I'm trying to keep up I promise! Hope you're all well.
Liz, good to hear that Kayla is less grumpy. I find it hard to get Abbeys signs too. Probably too busy dealing with the other kiddies.
LOL at her farting like her father. Champion she is, Abbey is the same. Have another meetup happening hun. Would be great if your can come. https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ad.php?t=58796
Are there any other Sydney girls in here ?? You are more than welcome to come along too of course :D
all I can say is ugh!! yesterday afternoon was horrible!! BUT last night was great :)
We got home around 9:30 and I ended up laying on my bed with Olivia and we both fell asleep but I woke at 11:30 transfered her to her bed and went and had a shower ect.. then into bed and she woke briefly at 4:30 and i just recovered her and went back to bed and she didn't wake for a feed till after 6 this morning
We are supposed to be walking to school this morning but of course it is dribbling rain..
BBL crying miss
morning all, just a quickie here as im rocking Ashs bassinette and cant coordinate typing at the same time LOL
would u believe Ash went down at 7:30pm last night and didnt wake till 2am this morning! i couldnt believe it! i even kept checking on him to see if he was still alive! LMAO
Trish - have fun swimming today. both times
Nic - Do u walk with all 4 kids???
well im off got mothers groups today, gees it feels like i was there yesterday! where is time going....
How do you ladies using cloth nappies get time to chat on BB? I am using sposies and I barely get time scratch myself!!!!
Does anyone know the signs of a bub being overtired? Last night Loren was doing the "boxing kangaroo" move and kicking her legs for 3 hours on and off. It was like she was hyper. She was not crying just very jittery and yelling out alot.
I am back to 70kgs which is my pre second pregnacy weight. I want to get back to 63kgs which was my wedding day weight (65 would be ok too).
Trish - Poo on the swimming times. Does Abbey get aggitated if you are out too much? I find that Loren is really bad at night if I go out with her though the day.
Liz - LOL at the farting comment.
Nic - I feel the need to get back to work too. Problem is I don't know what I want to do anymore.
Rory - Wow sounds like you'll be busy in 7 months!!! I had a dream the other night that I was pregnant again and I fell after only dtd once after having Loren...scary!!!
ATM miss Loren is having her "long" sleep on my bed, Sara is at daycare and I am offically back in the office to do client reports. Must get them started now.
Bek, I only wash Abbey's nappies every second day atm. We have plenty to see us through and I rinse them if they are pooey before putting them in the bucket. It works for us atm.
I am around 70 kgs now too, would love to get back to 60kgs, hell I'd really love to be back to 55kg, but that's not gonna happen. So 63 will do me for now.
Abbey sleeps pretty good when I am out, she is good in the pram as long as we are moving. Not so good in the car though. I have to feed her until she's close to bursting and then I drive like a demon to get there before she starts screaming again. Bad I know. If I time my outings around a sleep it works ok for us. But yes, she does get unsettled. And you know it only gets worse the older they get.
A tired bub will rub it's eye's, ear's, yawn and yes figet alot. So I would say that yes, they are Loren's tired signs.
I remember when I went ot Tresillian I got a sleep/play time thign from them, I posted it on here. I will do some searching and see if I can find it. Might help some out :D
Here is the link. Not alot of good for us as it starts at 4 months, but still good for a look at :D https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...ead.php?t=4954
Lauren, woohoo on the good sleep from Ash. Clever little man he is.
Kids are being shocking again. Thank God Noah starts tomorrow. Tehya is being a right PITA and Abbey is wriggling and fussing like there is no tomorrow.
Try having 2 in cloth! LOL. We've JUST started with 2 in full time cloth, we now have no sposies in the house! yay! I can't have sposies in the house, coz I use them!! And it just costs too much, I can't stand spending the money.
We're going away on holiday next week, and I'm planning on keeping them both in cloth.. so wish me luck! LOL. It's a self contained unit with a washing machine so it should be ok :)
I just had a play with Kayla and was watching for tired signs... but I reckon she doesn't have any LOL.. except for a yawn. I guess her movements kicked up a notch, but nothing obvious. Oh well.
Just chatting with a Tresillian Nurse on messenger regarding DD sleep issues!!! Will let you know what they say.
Bekz hope it goes well :(
Ditto here Liz, though we use sposies at night.....sooooo much cheaper!!:
We've JUST started with 2 in full time cloth
Thanks for the link Trish
I take my hat off to you ladies for using cloth nappies...I don't even know how to fold one. I was considering using some modern cloth nappies when Loren is 3 months but all the brands out there confuse my scattered brain atm.
morning ladies!
Hope we are all well!
Had another good night here.... again we are skipping that 1-2am feed! slept frpm 10:30pm - 4:30am WOOHOO! but i still have to get up and express these exploding (.)(.)!!! it's a lot quicker that feeding, changing and burping a baby though!! So am starting to stock up the freezer again!
BekZ - She may have had wind/gas too! Chrissie does that when she's trying to fart or get a poo out! after she does it she feels better and stops! When she's tired she rubs her eyes with her fist and yawns a lot! hope this helps
Lauren - i've decided not to go to mothers group! Good on you for making the time.. i just don't have the time to spare... especially since it is every week!
nic - sounds like you had a good night!!
Trish - thanks for the link.. it's good to have some sort of guide!
Liz - sounds like all is going great guns with you~! :)
suse - yeha i'm not looking forward to the logistics of organizing a baby!! But i'm pretty good at organizing ourselves since we do it every year.. should be OK! i have this fear that i wont pack enough nappies for the plane trip!! LOL
alicia - hope you DH is feeling better now!!
rory - nice pics!! so cute!
well better go hang out the washing while Chrissie is asleep!
bbl
Morning all,
Terrible night here. Olivia went to sleep at 11ish as usual but this time woke at 2:30 and was grizzley from then til about 6:00 when DH finally woke up as well and took her from me so I could catch a few zzzz's. Not sure what was wrong with her. But she had been grizzley at mothers group in the afternoon as well (although had a good sleep when we got back from it). Usually she is fine when we are out, she is pretty social and enjoys looking around, maybe she was not feeling well...?
Haroula - Thanks for asking. DH is 'taking it like a man' (you know, whinging a lot) but is ok. He has this week off work, a check-up at the hospital Monday and then back to work - Thank goodness! With us both home and unwell, with our mothers taking turns to stay, and Olivia to look after we are both going insane!
morning all,
xtml: for Mirani's rash at the moment we are using Michael's brand Olivara. its a skin wash thats a soap alternitive and the moisteriser. her legs have really cleared up. you can get it at the chemist. it is made from olive oil extract and is baby freindly. its also good for dandruff as well.
Mirani has become such a great sleeper lately, settling at around 11pm and waking anywhere from 6am to 830am. which makes for one happy mummy in the mornings.
regarding nappies: at the moment she's wearing target brand sposies. not only are they cheap ($25 a box) but they hold everything in.
my DP (if i can dare call him that at the moment!!), is already on at me about losing weight. which i really need to do something about considering that i hadnt lost that much since the last 2. any ideas on what is good for kickstarting your metabolism?
alicia - i could only imagine how you feel!!! sometimes i feel like i'm going insane and DH and I are well!! I hope you are getting better also and back on your feet ASAP! for your own sanity!!!! :D
Thanks Haroula.
I forgot to mention that Olivia is having her injections this afternoon. Seeing as she was already fussy at the mothers group yesterday I am worried that after today she will associate the room there with pain and be horrible next week!
Michelle - I would be really p!ssed if DH mentioned losing weight. I hope you told your DP how you felt about his comments.
Michelle - I agree with Alicia! let him have it!!!!
Alicia - i'm sure she will be fine! it may have just been she wasn't feeling 100% yesterday! we all know how it is.,. they could "turn" at any moment!!
I have done it twice so far.. I have a double pram but when we go walking along the beach or somethig (with dh) we just use the 3 wheeler and jacob walks
I kibnda want to get into aged care.. Either at home care (blue nurses) or working in a nursing home. I was thinking once Olivia gets abit older and I can leave for longer periods I might volunteer at the nursing hom around the corner from me and see if it is what I want to do
Oh dear!! I don't know what to say.. My dh encourages me to exercise but that is more to do with my increased risk of diabetes now but he is always telling me I look lovely..
Oh no.. Injections!! I hope it goes smoothly. Will your DH go with you? Glad he is feeling a bit better too. I bet you are both going insane. I know I would be
Wel Olivia is ( I think) asleep finally. She slept in my arms the entire time we were grocery shopping but ws tired again so I fed refed changed and fed again and now hopefully she is asleep... Dh is about to go to bed for night shift so I hope he doesn't disturb her..
Only 1 more big sleep til Noah start's school. I wonder who's more excited, him or me ;)
