Hi ladies,

First of all congrates Jules, how exciting whoo hoooo........

William was born on Tuesday the 19th of june at 2.47pm weighing 8pounds. The c/s was great it was a wonderful experience for me kevin was not too keen on it. Came home on friday still very sore getting around slowly. Charlie boy is sooooooo good with will helping all the time.......

Will get back on for personals in a couple of days....

PP - Thank you!! We are rather excited!! How's your little one coming along? what's your due date? Poor Millie with her asthma, I hope it's not a long term thing. She sounds so clever with her talking! So cute!! I saw a pic on your fb of her on her fold out couch with the pillow and blanket, sooooo cute!!

Cathie - Thank you!! Congrats again on the birth of William! I'm glad you had a good experience with your c/s. I had a c/s with Jacob and I had a really good experience too. Not that I have anything to compare it to! How's your recovery? Hopefully it's all gone smooth.

Millie is pushing through two new teeth at the moment

the paed doesn't think it will be but its hard to say.

S has just gotten 3 eye teeth and its been a barrel of laughs in our house lately

It has been an interesting week here. Monday, Millie woke up with the worst asthma symptoms I have seen in her so far. She was working so hard to breathe and was completely exhausted. I took her to the Children's hospital ED (we only live about 10 mins drive away) and on the way she kept falling asleep, and because of the shade on her window she looked a little blue, so I kept reaching back and rubbing her little foot to make sure she was still breathing. She was triaged quickly and we got taken through to the asthma bay. We were there for 6 hours for observation and treatment - a dose of prednisone and lots of ventolin. Usually trying to keep her still for 6 seconds is a challenge - she spent the entire time cuddled up to me. Poor little mite. Tuesday she stayed home with DH, Wednesday she was okay at daycare, but Thursday I got a call half way through the day - a new kid got upset at nap time, which set Millie off - she started crying and then started coughing and it snowballed. They got some ventolin into her so she was not too bad by the time I picked her up, just exhausted all over again. Friday we spent the entire day inside, so I thought she'd be okay yesterday - we went out in the sun for five minutes and the excitement of being outside and chasing bubbles set her off again. so, another quiet day today.

poor thing i hope she is doing a lot better now xxx

sorry ive been slack, been crazy busy as usual!

we are booked in for summahs allergy testing next week with her paed so hopefully we get some answers.
ive tested her on cheese and milk again and she got the runs within 24hours so we are back to rice milk and soy cheese and yoghurt.

We had out 18m check up and she is 11kg and 82cm tall which is apparently average.

she has a jumping obsession at the moment and jumps on everything!!!! we got her a little trampoline and she still uses the couch

words are coming thick and fast too, it amazes me. i said to her "lets put your purple jumper on" and straight away she says "purple" i just about die of shock!

Hi Jules, thanks - all going well here. Pud is kicking the tripe out of me which can only be a good thing, and I'm learning to live without sugar. Millie is eating again and putting on all the tone she lost when she was unwell.

Hi Crumpet - any feedback on the allergy tests?

Millie is weaning off her beloved "Pop" - the dummy! She hasn't had it for anything but her sleeps for a long time now, but she's pretty good without it during the day now. She does occasionally fight her day sleep pretty hard though, which is exhausting, especially on the days when I am just desperate for a nap. Last Sunday she ended up in my bed, WITH her dummy, because that was the only way both of us would get sleep at all. We fell asleep with her holding my finger, which was sooo sweet

We went to the Play School concert last week! It was great fun. She was a bit bewildered at first, but warmed up and started singing and dancing along

She's such a sweet little girl. Tonight I had some sad news and was a bit of a blubbery mess, and she came up for a cuddle, then patted me on the knee, peered at my face and said, "You okay Mummy?" Oh, MELT. What a beautiful little person.

SO I have finished up at work. I was going to try and keep going til 36 weeks, but got back last week after the holidays and just thought... "stuff it." It's a lot harder to manage my diet at school, I was stressed out by the attitude of the kids I have been teaching (being part time I wound up with very dodgy classes this year), and I was just over it. There's a lot to do here before bub arrives so hopefully now I'll have a bit longer to get it all done.

Getting very close now pixie! Wonder if this one will be early as well? Hope the preparations are all going well.

We are in the midst of an elimination diet - as some of you will already know from my facebook moaning. It's not a lot of fun. But, on the plus side, DS has been much improved - his attitude, temperament, poos (tmi, sorry) all much better. I've had quite a few days recently when I haven't yelled at all. Miri's still mad as anything, but sleeping a bit better these days. Not sure if it's diet related, or just a coincidence.

She's trying to run now (well, she staggers a bit more rapidly chanting: runrunrunrun). Very cute. She still walks with one foot turned in and rolled over a bit - will have to see if that sorts itself out or not. Will have a follow up with the physio in a couple of months or so.

Hope things are going well with the new bubs Charlotte and cathie. Cathie, I know, you're an old hand at this . I remember the first month with DD was just fine, but then it was like reality hit and things were really tough for the next few months.

I have a sleeping toddler in my arms. She is exhausted after a Grandma visit and public holiday. So much excitement! She is doing so many cool things now. She is quite convinced that the new baby will sleep in her bed with her, and that it will only have milk from the right boob, leaving the left for her. She puts the keys in the door when we get home, and can open our baby gate!

She also informed us this morning that it's her doll Molly's birthday. So we might make a cake.

It's so quiet in here but I still don't do a very good job of keeping up. Some things never change

Audax - Nellie sounds so clever, hahaha, lets see how the newborn bubba feels about sharing the boobie somehow I don't like her chances!! Hope everything is travelling well with the bub.

MadB - You're doing a great job with the diet, I honestly don't know how you do it!! I find it hard enough to feed Jacob cause they can be so fussy sometimes... Go Miri with the running!! She's really scooting along now isn't she..

PP - Congratulations again on the birth of little Ava!! She is just beautiful. I LOOOOOOOVE the name, Ava was on my girls list when I was pregnant with Jacob. Millie is such a sweetheart, your stories always make me smile! Hope you're all doing well and settling into life as a family of four!!

Crumpet - How did the allergy testing go? I hope you've got some answers by now.

We're doing good, Jacob is such a joy, learning so much so fast, loves to chat on the phone to my parents (his Nonna and Grandad) "hello, how are you" "it's huuuuuuuuge!!" haha. he's still totally obsessed with the wiggles, I think I may turn into one...either that or I'll just start singing and dancing in my sleep. We do so much travel that we watch them over and over... We have just bought tickets to the wiggles concert for December, so very excited to take him along to that! (ten hour drive, we are obviously very committed haha)

Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. Can you believe it's only a few months till our little ones are TWO!?!?!?! Crazy crazy stuff...

Miri's latest word is Don't.
Oh, and we get "Miri do it!" for everysinglething. My MIL reckons she's going to be one of those willful kids who have to do everything for themselves.... I didn't realise there was any other kind!
I've managed to stop night feeds, though she's up and desperate for mooky at 5:30. Daddy's been handling the night wakings the past couple of nights, too, which was a nice break. So she's getting there. Fingers crossed she'll get her sleeping act together at around 2, like her brother. Then we're getting bunk beds so they can share a room.

That's quite a Wiggle trek Jules! How are you feeling?

Molly had a lovely birthday. We even had a cupcake.

My dad is visiting for the weekend, and she is just loving it. He brought heaps of presents, including a dress that she madly wanted to wear to bed. And a box of chocolate for me. It doesn't really stand a chance on a Saturday night.

How is everyone going?

Hannah is going OK. She's taken to having a night terror every night around midnight. She screams and carrys on. It's really horrible. Then she's an absolute nightmare in the morning because she hasn't slept properly.
It's VERY draining.

We have her ENT appointment in only 4 weeks. I'm nervous but looking forward to it A LOT. I really hope that we can get some grommets ASAP and improve her hearing. I feel for her. I know at times she just CAN'T hear us.

She came out with a new word yesterday. "Heaby!!" Which is heavy. Obviously
She was lifting her wagon and said it. Such a clever girl.

Food is still hit and miss. It's really terrible. Sometimes she'll eat and other times she'll have a biscuit. All day. It's driving me nuts.

Well charlie is such a devil, we had his hearing tested last week he has enough hearing for speech but his left ear has alot of fluid in it and the ear drum is a really funny shape so his got an app with an ENT in Jan.......I notice when he talks he sound like a deaf person ..... the Dr noticed that too, he gets really frustrated and he throws tantrums all the time it must be a pain....

Helloooooo! Here I am... On my phone, feeding the little one, so I apologise for any typos.

Yes, Millie is a big sister now to little Ava, who was born on 21 August. She was breech but I was able to birth her myself. Breastfeeding is going really well this time, it really is a confidence trick (thanks MadB :-)). It helps that Ava sucks like a hoover. In hindsight (my, but aren't things so clear in hindsight?!) I believe the holes in Millie's heart, while small, probably contributed to her sleepiness and half-hearted suck. I also knew enough and had enough trust in my body to refuse formula comps, so I didn't have that downward spiral this time.

Anyway, Millie is an AWESOME big sister. We're so proud of how she has adjusted. The girls just adore each other, it's lovely to see :-) She is doinb the occasional dress rehearsal for the terrible twos, but most of the time is just sweet, funny and clever. Her language is streaking ahead, she's speaking in fairly correct sentences and sprouting new words every day. This week it has been all about "fun". "This is fun Mummy!" love it!

She is 87cm tall and about 11-11.5kg now, and she'll be two next Sunday. We have the mother's group party this Sunday and we're just having a family afternoon tea on her actual birthday. She did a wee on the potty on Monday! She has been coy about it for months, asking to sit on the pot or the loo, but not wanting to take her nappy off etc. On Monday though, I was about to change her and she sai, "potty, Mummy, do wee wee on potty!" so off we went! Very surprised and proud :-) so we're still not pushing her, but with the warm weather I think we'll be able to toilet train her over the next couple of months.

Yay PP!

No big sisterage here yet. DD is all over it, ready to be a big "sissah" She has just been so GOOD this last few weeks. She loves cooking, and rocks, and play dough and dress ups. She is also rapidly becoming an expert on butterflies, and can identify ten different species in her book. It's making me pay more attention than ever too! Heaven forbid I not notice that Varied Eggfly in the lemon tree next door!

We went for lunch last weekend, just the two of us, out for Japanese, and it was so lovely. She sat up in a grown up chair with her three plates of sushi, and we chatted away, and ate. It was just before my mum arrived, and it was so nice to share that special time.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to find evidence that dark chocolate is an effective method of natural labour induction, but it doesn't seem to exist. Won't stop me eating it...
