crumpet - we make our own rusks out of bread crusts, just slice them and chuck them in a slow oven until they're firm. Also, we make polenta fingers, 1 part polenta to 3 parts water (I also chuck in a bit of EBM) Then pour it into a tray or container, refrigerate until firm, slice and serve. They're pretty good for snacks.
oh wow they are great ideas ill give them a go for sure thanks!

Crumpet - Thankfully last night with the vaporiser things were much better! Only woke twice. Sounds like things are full on there with Summah it will pass, and she'll be back to her wonderful bubbly self soon....hang in there love! I agree, day time sleeps aren't a big issue if the nights are working well

All good here, went to the BigW toy sale and did the 'early bird layby' for the toy sale at Target. So happy, I have done all the christmas shopping for Jacob and my nephews and niece. I even got Jacobs birthday presents and my nephews birthday present for May next year!!!
thanks hun, she wasnt to bad after wednesday last week, her cold went around the same time.

    glad jacob is better!!

how good are the sales for being organised!!!!
ive got my BF's 3 kids christmas presents and 2 of their birthdays done, have got half of summahs xmas stuff and ill hit target next week for the rest of the things i need for summah.

I heard those wipes are great for cleaning carpets too...
    great for cleaning carpet!

    because corn is yummy!

I made that risotto again (the one DS had nightmares about, you may remember). he ate it without complaint, so perhaps it's ok if you give it a break for a few months.
    i missed that story!!

    AFU:

we have been flat out! were out everyday last last week and all weekend so thankfully today is a home day!

we got our first tooth last week! any wonder the poor poppett was so out of sorts monday and tuesday last week, so far today isnt looking much better than last monday but at least im prepared for feral days now!
tooth number 2 is looking to be on its way so that explains todays mood!

we ended up at the drs with her chesty cough and snotty nose and i felt like such a idiot when the dr said she was fine and just had a cold but she did say i did the right thing taking her becasue it had been 5 days, felt like a paranoid first time mum.

other than that we are cruising along nicely.

Cathie - I did the Target toy sale layby online, it was soooooooooo wonderful and easy!! No battling the crowds

MadB - Whats a lil squirt? lol, I'm a bit hopeless. I'm not a fan of the toy sales either, which is why i did the majority online!! identical

PP - How cute is the talking!! awww, they have such big personalities now don't they... I sleep in the same room as Jacob when I'm back at mum and dads, I love it How are you enjoying your trip? taking plenty of pics I hope!

Kaz - Wow, Will is one tall little bubba!! so cute!! Good luck with the ultrasound.

Crumpet - Yay for toy sales!! Finally a tooth! Glad she's feeling better. Sounds like you've been flat out!! Time at home is so nice after you've been out so much. Don't worry about looking like a paranoid mum, I did the same here, first with his cold/cough and then closely followed by a few visits to different doctors for his spots/rash. We're trying to do the best for our babies, I'm sure they understand

    Hope everyone else is well.

We're doing good, back home now and it's so cold..... Jacob is settling back into home really well which is great. I feel so behind with all this washing etc..... oh well, I'm off for an early night and it can wait till tomorrow!!

i know! i tell you this tooth took its time! now number 2 is making moves! always the way, if its not one things its another!

glad im not the only one looking like a paranoid mum!

urgh washing.... dont even get me started!

we have been having a rough week this week.

summah has decided that you dont really need to drink milk and that she will fight every feed

one day all i managed to get into her was 200ml, and another day was 300ml clearly not enough....

have spoken to our MCHN and she has given me some tips so we are giving a few different things a go, seems to be working today we have got 300ml in already! im aiming for 400-600ml if possible but will see how we go.

    talk about a stressful week!

CRUMPET - Eden fights his feeds too. I have no idea how much he's taking but I do know that he's not getting 'enough' according to all the books etc. I know DS1 was the same at this age. I stressed alot about it with DS1, but this time I'm just going with it. He looks healthy, he's happy and sleeps really well (no night wakings), so he must be getting enough. He's only in the 25th percentile for weight. He dropped from the 50th. But I can only give him what he'll take hey. I must say though, I'm sure he's getting more than 300mls in a day. I hope she's feeding better for you.

Eden is just about to cut his 4th tooth and man, has he been a chore. He's so whingy & clingy. He's been off his food and milk for a few days too. Yesterday was a little better so hopefully that darn tooth has cut overnight and he's back to his angelic self today lol.

Hi ladies, i've tried to have a read but won't be able to catch up with all the personals.

I've just been around briefly but not turning the computer a whole lot during the day.

Loving hearing and seeing the progress on fb.

Jules i showed DH your little man and his balancing act!! He's miles ahead of Harper so we were both pretty amazed. He's so gorgeous. A bit jealous also that he doesn't (or barely does) have a bald patch at the back of his head

Charlotte hope Hannah figures out the rolling soon and becomes much more content with her new independance.

PP how was your trip? I saw some fantastic photos. I love your fb profile pick with Millie flying high

Cathy all is good here, how did the school holidays go? Or do you still have another week off? I know NSW overlaps us by one week.

All the little ones who have been rocking on their knees, are we any closer to crawling?

For us we are just about to begin our weekly activities all over again. Swimming tomorrow morning at 9am First week of the school hols all three chickens were sick so we stayed home every day. The second week we were a little more social. Harper is rocking on her knees but not pushing up on her arms. Rolls around and plays amoungst the boys for a lot of her awake time. For a few nights there she dropped a feed (the 9 or 10ish one) but she seems to be wanting it again at the moment. We're at about 6 feeds a day/night. We're yet to have our 7-8mth MCHN check so i have no idea what she weights or how she fairing size wise. We can waver between 00 and 0 now. I'm not worried in any way.

As for me i'm still going with my horrible skin condition i could handle it if it didn't have to be my bb area but that really is getting me down. I feel deformed and i really don't like to show DH at all and i really wish Harper just had some normal bb's to feed from. I do wonder if giving it up would help but then in the next thought i'd rather put up with it than stop feeding her. I'm really drawing at straws as to reasons why still. Things like could i be allergic to Harper? Or could her having the zantac be effecting my skin? It could all be really far fetched but it's gotten to the stage where it's got to be something and so far no one has any answers for me. We were getting somewhere just before the weekend and now it seems that i may have applied something or it could be just the next path that it's had to take because the skin on each breast is bright red like sunburn

Got to go she's awake already. Really hope everyone is well xoxo

Oh EJ!! Still not better?? Poor thing. :-(

Hannah's going really well. Rolling back-to-front. She's decided she can't get back, so its a little frustrating. I vacum every second day in the lounge (because of the wood fire, leaving little bits of crap all over the carpet. And!! What moron put cream carpet in a lounge room. Its disgusting.) but am going to have to do it every day, I don't want hannah grabbing a little peice of wood.
We're getting another toothy! On the top this time. So, she's being a bit feral.

Hannah hearing test went fine, all the fluid is gone and we've got another test in December to see if there's any lasting hearing damage from the fluid, antibiotics, ventilation, being in NICU and SCN.

Not much else to report, sorry not alot of personals today. My brain is fried.
Off to fold some washing. I was (seriously) about 8 loads behind and DP spent all day sunday and yesterday doing washing. He's a champion. Mind you, he'll probably do nothing for 2 weeks now!!

Oh Jules!! I just love the vid of Jacob. DP watched it too and was really impressed. He saw a pic of Jacob and goes "Wow! Thats a really cute kid!!" lol

PP -- More holiday pics please!! I'm so jealous. My Dad is heading over to Thailand in May for a conference with his boss. I saw the place where he's staying (2 weeks in Thailand, 4 days in Bangkok) and its GORGEOUS!! I'm so jealous. I wanna go overseas. I've only ever been to new zealand... 7 times. My mum's from there, so we'd go back to see family.

Ooooohhh, sounds like Hannah just had a poo-splotion. Better go. It stinks really bad. And she's laughing.....

Jules that vid of Jacob is sooooo cute! I have been really afraid of letting Eleanor do the same thing, but not that I've seen that I might chill out a bit
    Yay for cloth nappies

Still dealing with epic constipation here I just caught a series of turd bullets, poor little poppet didn't have much fun squeezing those out.

And still no teeth. No signs of crawling yet either, although she is scooching forward from a sitting position. Especially if there is paper, clean washing or my phone within sight. Oh, and EJ, our bald patch is slowly disappearing.

Oh EJ ...... Big hugs All is well here too, kids went back to school today YAY. Alex is getting all stressed out about his school certificate. Poor thing I remember stressing out about school and when it was all over it was like WHY. I just tell him to do his best he wants to join the Army when he leaves school.

    Hi everyone

Well charlie boy still has no teeth he looks so funny when he smiles all my kids got there teeth late. When I sit next to him he grabs me and tries to pull himself up onto his feet he has fallen a couple of times and he has really hurt himself but it dosent stop him. They are not babies for long it's like they have been here before.

    have a great Day ladies

    Hi everyone!
EJ I can't believe you're still dealing with that! Another specialist..? There must be some explanation and solution

cathie - i dunno. I was just talking with Dh about this the other day. We have 2 embryos on ice adn I'm thinking we'll just do one last ditch effort when I'm 36-37 and then I'll be too old to do another full IVF cycle (well not really, but you know).

What's with these babies crawling and pulling themselves up already?! Audax - is she a bum shuffler? That's so cute.

    Paranoid mummies save lives!

The little squirt is a spray thingy that attaches to the water inlet on your toilet - you use it to rinse poo off nappies into the toilet. very handy.

Poor love coughs all night and can hardly breathe - very little sleep happening. She's making up for it durin ght eday a bit (obviously cough is more of a problem at night). So getting even less sleep than usual. Also feel I may finally be sucumbing to the lurgy. DH stayed home yesterday to help but I couldn't nap! I have such trouble napping during the day
    oh well. I will survive.
She's been vomitting more than usual again (always a bit of a projectile girl ) and I actually find some wads of newspaper in one spew. Ew.

Will try be back for personals girls but...

Went to the natropath again today and i'm taking Harper off zantac completely, we'll deal with the repercusions (if there are any) but we're taking the 'it's too much of a conincidence' path now and seeing if we get any change. Sorry about he sp in a few words there but can't be bothered looking them up

    Talk soon girls

Cervix or uterus through cervix? I guess only your doc can answer that Prolapses of various kinds are not that uncommon and so far as I know don't necessarily preclude future pregnancies.

    Hey girls

Crumpet - How's that second tooth going?? saw the pic of her first one, soooo cute!! How's the feeds going? Maybe it's the teething causing her to fight them? Jacob has been really difficult to feed lately, he's so interested in everything else going on...but he will take it if he's hungry enough...no problems about it causing 'night wakings' here, cause he doesn't sleep through anyway haha.

Georgi - read that Eden has finally cut the fourth tooth, about time the poor little fella. Hope things settle down for you both now!

EJ - Thank you for your kind words about Jacob. Don't worry about the bald patch, you'll be doing sweet little piggytails in no time!! Then I'LL be jealous!! haha far out, you're having a rough time with this skin condition.... I hope stopping the zantac helps things...

Kaz - Yay on the third tooth! They seem to be popping up everywhere!!

Charlotte - That's great news on Hannah's hearing test! Nothing wrong with that little champion, she's unreal! Hope the next tooth comes soon, they are so horrible aren't they.. poor little things! Thanks for the comments on Jacob we're pretty proud of our little man, he's unstoppable. He's so full on, he just does NOT stop, he's never been an overly cuddly baby or anything cause he's just TOO busy, he might miss something and we can't have that can we!!?? hehe.

Audax - Thank you hahaha, you probably thought we were crazy letting him climb on a basket, but he was supervised at all times I worry about everything, DH is FAR too relaxed sometimes....Yes, yay for cloth nappies!! I only put him in sposies at night and if they are all in the wash (I don't have a big collection...yet) Hope the constipation has gone, poor little thing...

Hey Cathie - they definately grow too fast don't they?! Far out, you're going back....what a star!!! I dunno about age gaps, I'm pretty much not even THINKING about it until Jacob is two, I just don't have the support that I'd need to deal with another one.

MadB - That squirt thing sounds awesome!! Hope Miri feels better soon it's so hard when they're sick....at least you're not used to getting full nights sleeps or you might actually have something to miss!! hehe.

as for us - lots of progress here.... as you all probably saw on my fb. I had to put it up cause I can't text it to family... they all feel like they're missing out and ask for videos, thankfully it's nice and easy to do now with my new phone. We had a big scare with DH the other night. Sunday night we sat down in the lounge and Jacob was having a feed and then we were going to bath him. DH just sat down with a glass of a new red wine he bought when he said to me "do I look red?" and I turned and said "yeah....oh....yeah, REALLY red...." he told me his skin was on fire. He asked me to drive him to the ambulance (as we only have one officer here) and not even a minute later it was spreading and he was struggling for breath so I called 000 cause there was no way I was driving him with him in his state and a seven month old baby! He got given adrenaline and was rushed to hospital an hour away - the officer had him in the front to keep an eye on him and had to stop on route to give him more adrenaline and put him on oxygen and when he got to hospital they gave him more adrenaline and some other drugs to reverse the affects... I drove over with Jacob....spent a few hours there then came home at 11pm and went back and got him the next day. He's got to see a specialist for allergy testing as it's his second reaction with unrelated products and they don't think he'll survive another one... He has been given an epipen to keep on him at all times in case of another reaction. We live so remote, it's so scary. Anyway, that's our excitement of late...
