Hi all!
Jules, hope Jacob's tooth makes an appearance soon! It's such a pest when they take their time. Millie doesn't have many outwards signs of teething, as she has always been a massive drooler and doesn't get the pink cheeks, but whenever I try to check for any bumps, she bites me with her two sharp little fangs!!! :o He's such a clever boy walking already!
EJ, sounds like things are humming along well, apart from the fb thing! I have been sewing a bit too, got my challenge quilt back from being professionally quilted and I'm sooooo happy with it. Sewed the bindings on it yesterday and now need to hand stitch them closed - that's about 10.5m of hand stitching!!!! Also started making Millie a dress - it's a simple pattern and such pretty fabric - I bought it on a whim when I was still pregnant - it has babushkas on it and I figured even if we had a boy I could make something for myself! I will have it ready well before her first birthday, so it can be her party dress :) I've had 2 ergo-wearing friends ask to buy the suck pads I made!!! DH reckons I should start up a business, but I'm like you - happy to make for people I know but would feel pretty funny about selling to strangers.
MadB, hope your travels are going well!
Sleeping has been a bit of a joke here since about Thursday. Millie is fighting her day sleeps hard, and until yesterday I was just grateful she was sleeping okay overnight... ha ha ha, more fool me, she woke EVERY hour between 8pm and 3am last night. She fought this morning's sleep and I actually drove to the local baby store and bought a sleeping bag (one with no arms) in the hope that it would stop her crawling and pulling herself up in her cot at least... and she fell asleep on the way home (it's only a 4 minute drive!). She actually transferred okay and is still sleeping. Have left the sleeping bag in the package, I'm hoping we won't need it but it's there if we get desperate.
On the plus side, I'm finally well! Just in time to go back to work tomorrow
Thinking of you all, hoping you're all really well!
-
Thats MRS Charlotte to you, EJ!!!
Sorry I haven't been posting in here. I've been exhausted!! Hannah was being an angel after coming back from TAS but she's being the opposite at the moment.
She had 1 sleep yesterday, a 4 hour sleep, tho. And went to bed, but yelled (she's not crying, just yelling) for about half an hour. She was finally quiet and DH went in to check on her and she'd turned herself completely upside-down, and still completely wrapped. Not sure how she did it. He turned her around but she didn't wake up.
She's just being so not-Hannah lately. It may be a wonder-week. Or, her teeth could be moving again. Please, not more teeth!! We've already got 6!!
She had her physio appt last week, I had to get my Dad to take me as I don't drive (yet!) and DH was really sick.
Hannah's commando crawling, and physio wants to see her standing soon. She's still so tiny! She's only just hit 7kg!!
So, that also means that she's got another 1-2kg to gain before we can turn her carseat around. She's always craning her head around to look at us, and trying to sit up in her seat. And she's so long that her legs are bent when she's in it.
Anyway, she's up.

hey,
Thanks everyone for the twins birthday wishes. They where pretty excited, so were the other kids.
MadB - We have 2 medicare cards hahahaha.

Hi all!
Just a quick hello while I'm on the laptop for once. Millie has a horrible cough at the moment and is on Ventolin syrup :( Boo. Seems to be working though so I'll just suck it up and refuse to believe that she's following in my (asthmatic) footsteps. Back at work this week, it just seems even more crazy than last term. Hard to believe that this time last year I was heaving myself around the school grounds, struggling towards mat leave...
I hope you're all well! Thinking of you xox
-
I keep meaning to post in here. Only got a minute as laptop is about to go flat
Things are going OK with us, DH is off today for work and will *hopefully* be back on Friday night.
Hannah had a cough and we took her to the hospital and they said throat infection. Went to GP the next day and he said her throat was fine. It's pneumonia.
So she's been on antibiotics and has improved alot, due to her being prem she had another check up because if she didn't improve in 48 hours she would have been hospitalised. So, that was really scary.
Will be back as soon as I can for more updates. Been forgetting so badly lately (not pg!!)
-
Hi all! Boy it's quiet in here these days. Thinking of you all!
Took Millie back to our usual GP on Monday as her cough was still pretty bad and I just wanted her opinion on what the weekend medical centre GP said. She prescribed antibiotics, asked me to take Millie off the Ventolin syrup (at this, I just about cheered)... and then asked me to go back to the puffer, spacer and mask, four puffs four hourly... and gave me a referral to get her assessed for asthma. My heart sank. I know it's manageable, I know it's not a death sentence, but I have lived with the PITA that is asthma all my life and I DON'T want my little girl to have to live with it too. She said it's not urgent as the seasons are more favourable now and they tend not to diagnose very young now, but she's showing all the signs I did as a baby. Fingers crossed she isn't asthmatic, that it's just the bug she has. She is very wheezy though, poor bub.
Work is mad, I'm ready to take down a couple of revolting teenaged boys right now. Thank God I only have that class twice a week. Heading out to my parents place tomorrow, hoping the five hour drive won't be too taxing for Millie. I know that sounds silly given the 24 hour plane ride to Germany... but you can pick a baby up in a plane. Not so much in a car.
Hm, I've been a bit of a whinger here today, sorry. Bright side... 2nd wedding anniversary on Monday, DH's birthday today, spring has finally sprung, Milllie is doing well apart from the bug. Life's good, just a couple of little things hacking me off.
Thinking of you all, hope you're well xox
-
Well, not much to add here. Hannah is all better and officially sleeping unswaddled!! It was a rough couple of days, but I'm so happy!!
Hope Millie is OK :(
Also another reason to be happy. I just got a :bfp: !!! :leap:
Please keep it quiet on FB, as I'm not telling anyone til Christmas Day and I haven't told DH yet.
Had to tell you lovely ladies!! Sitting here, it's pouring outside and I'm so excited, but can't tell anyone!!
-
Woo hoo Charlotte!!!!! I hope this little ones decides to stick and grow into another gorgeous bubba for you guys. Relax and look after yourself xoxo
All is good hear i just don't turn the computer on a whole lot. Harper Barper is great, i'm not ready to have a 12 month old though :( She's still commando crawling everywhere and still no teeth. Starting to use her legs a little more though and very caustiously pulls herself up on a few things. She's in her element playing with the boys. Sleeps been a little crappy as i went away the other weekend and as beautiful and relaxing as it was it kind of screwed up our routine and we're still not quite settled back to what we were. And then with her being such a mummies girl we had a 40th on Satuday night and had to take her with us. She was great though and not a problem at all but i wish i could have confidently left her with someone for a few hours to have a night out. Anyway that's not an issue really.
Hows the sleeping and asthma going PP?? I hope things settle down and if Millie has any asthma at all it's very mild. How's work and those revolting boys?? Good luck with the teenages :o Happy 2nd Wedding anniversary xox
Cathie 2 medicare cards!!!! :o
Miss seeing you all on facebook but i dont' think i'll get back on. I tried making another account, with another email and i used DH's birthdate and it works but as soon as i log out i can't get back in. I think they are not allowing me now becuse all of the different accounts i've tried to set up to have 1 that works. I think 've been banned :( I think i best just give up
Will try and keep in touch here more often i just dont' turn the computer on very often. I hope everyone is happy and well xoxox

hi everyone,
hey PP how have you been, WE need to organise a coffee day? Just let me know when, I understand that we are all busy.
EJ - YEP two cards to fit everyones names on.....
HI MadB :HELLO:
HI Georgi : :)
HI KAZ :)
HI Jules :) Your little man is just sooooo cute.
Not much happening here, Charlie is walking around everything, I got the walker out today it goes to fast for him. Lily's birthday coming up next month she is soooo excited. We traded our camper tralier in for a pop top caravan on the weekend so we are all excited. We get it on friday YAY...... beach here we come, the 15 year old is very excited as he is into surfing.
Well ladies have a great day.
-
Charlotte!!!!! :happyforyou::stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy: Ah, emoticons... pictures can say a thousand words can't they??
Cathie, awesome about your new camper! And yes, we must catch up in person! Will PM you.
EJ, great to hear from you! Not to worry about fb, we survived before, we can make do - and keep in touch - without it.
Things are okay here, Millie doesn't like long car trips - much like her Mummy! - but we had a very relaxing time at Mum and Dad's. Dad's Parkinson's is getting really bad though which is just so sad to see. Fingers crossed for December 8 as that is when he has the deep brain stimulation surgery to try and fix things up a bit for him. We had a terrible day today, Millie is teething on the cross - getting little fangs up top - has the remnants of her horrid snotty cold and cough, and it was hot hot hot. Poor bunny got up to 39 degrees, I had her in the bath, cold washcloths all over the place, lots of water and watermelon. She was so hot but at the same time she didn't want me to put her down at all. She ended up in the ergo, passed out on my chest under the aircon. BUT once she woke up (when DH came through the door!) she was heaps better :) She's down to two doses of ventolin per day, just morning and night, and I hope by the end of the week we'll be down to one.
We're planning her birthday party. I can't believe she's so close to turning one!
Love to you all!

very quite in here ladies...........
:)

It is very quiet Cathie!!!!
It's also so guiet at my house :o It seems completely rediculous to say but I'm BORED.
DH and the boys have gone away for the weekend (long weekend here in Melb) and Harper Barper and i stayed home. Yesterday we were very social but today i need to have her sleep in her own bed and i'm a little lost. I think i'll go put a few loads of washing on and do some sewing but i'm not sure i'm enjoying it all that much. So crazy isn't it!?!? I'm not the type to put a movie on and sit on the couch for a while (not anymore anyway) so i feel like i need to find something to do.
PP fingers crossed for Dec 8, they can do amazing things these days. How's Miss Millie? I hope you can say there is no more ventolin at all :) We are in the process of planning a party too (as is everyone else i'm sure :D).
What we plan to do is have a naming day for Charlie and Harper on the same day. Aidan had one when he was 8 months old so we got a little behind there. Aidan has 'godparents' but my thoughts have changed since then and it's more about officially welcoming Charlie and Harper to our friends and family and for them all to be special/guiding people in their lives. Found some great party invites, favours, balloons... and it's so fun looking at pink things. As much as i loved the invites i can make my own on publisher for so much less but i will choose some special other things for the day. Still not sure about the cake. I'm leaning towards making it myself (have made most of the boys) but we'll see. There is so much to do before the end of the year. DH has to also get busy building in the backyard a bit of an early christmas present for the kids. We're going to make some kind of cubby/fort/slide combo thing and i was kind of hoping it could be done by Harper's bday party so the kids can all be amused.
So things are pretty quiet here, trying to get back into the groove of where we were before my weekend away but it's taking some time.
Charlotte how are you feeling??
Jules where are you??? I miss seeing Jacob :(
MadB how is the holiday going?
Georgi how are your beautiful boys?
Crumpet how are you and miss summah?
Cathie how's Charlie boy and those little toes going? Another one walking around!!!!!
Got some good news last week, my really close friend overseas (who lost her first pregnacy earlier in the year) is pregnant again. She's had a scan, has heard the heartbeat and is getting really good reports. I think she's about 11 weeks along. So very happy and excited for her.
Going to go and find something to do ladies.
Talk soon xoxo

Hi ladies!
It is so quiet! Ah, how's the serenity :)
EJ, sounds like the calm before the (fun, social silly season) storm at your house!! Glad to hear about your friend. I've had three good friends have babies in the past two weeks and am so thrilled for them all! Meeting little Gracie tomorrow and Dylan on Friday (Sienna lives out in Tamworth so not sure when I will meet her!). Oh, can't wait for teeny tiny newborn snuggles :) Dylan is almost exactly Millie's birth weight and length!
Um, no... sadly Millie is back up to 3 doses of Ventolin again. Tuesday was awful, we were up with her most of Monday night and when we spoke to the health assist GP he said we'd have to take her back to the GP. Her temp was waaaay up, she was coughing and there was snot everywhere. (Honestly if snot were a commodity, we would be so very wealthy right now.) Took her to the GP again in the morning and she asked me to take her ventolin dosage back up, and to get a urine sample. Have you guys seen the paediatric urine collector thingies? Sheesh. Not an easy task. Got enough anyway and headed back, by which time Millie was so much worse. She was refusing food and when I got her to drink her bottle, it just came right back up again. Doc prescribed amoxyl, which she said would cover both the respiratory infection and the potential UTI. DH took Wed off work so I could go in and I was absolutely useless. Tired and distracted. Poor Millie had another bad night and I took her off to the GP again. The test results came back and guess what... the bug that caused the UTI is resistant to amoxycillin. So onto a different round of antibiotics. We have an emergent paed appointment on Tuesday. Another day off work, but hey, whatever it takes to get her well again.
In amongst all that, she started climbing the stairs. Needless to say, we bought safety gates this weekend...
Thinking of you all

PP that was not what i was wanting to hear at all. Poor baby girl and poor mummy and daddy. I hope the ab sort things out really quick and after that have you considered putting her on some kind of immune boost?? I wonder if that could help really kick whatever it is in the butt?? I was so excited to see a link but i can't look at it :( Get better gorgeous girl xo
PP it definately is the calm before the crazy 'that time of the year' storm. I am just so used to being flat out... The boys will be home today though so i'm pretty excited :)
I just had a thought ladies and if you'd like to pm me your email address i could send you an album of a few photos of the kids via Snapfish. I have been using that to show a few other friends/family photos of the kids. Totally up to you guys :)
Happy Monday ladies xoxo

Hey everyone,
Been feel HORRIBLE!!! Only threw up once yesterday, so that was a good thing! Waiting patiently for them to open the belly buddies thread as I know there's a few users due around the same time as me.
Hannah is going well, crawling everywhere. She's got a paed appt on Wednesday, so we too are investing in safety gates. I'm sick of her going into the kitchen. Or worse, the hallway where the cat food is. I plucked a piece out of her mouth yesterday. I though DH was watching her. He thought I was watching her. Hmm....
She can say mum and dad, and say them to the right person! No, is always a word we hear. She's saying "ta" now when given something. And also "Clap", but only it sounds like "Cak"
Gotta go!
-
Charlotte Hannah is doing so well!!!! Sounds like she's even overtaken Harper in the crawling and words department. So so clever :) Actaully Harper's latest is copying us when we say tickle tickle and really getting her tounge going. It's really cute
Ohhh the joys of MS. It's a good sign though. The dreaded 1st trimester countdown has begun i'm sure  Stay healthy xo
-
Ewwwww, morning sickness... The thorn of my pregnancies..... Hope it's all going well Charlotte
EJ - I miss you on FB.... Funny how you can be bored hey... I have definately learnt how to relax in front of the TV. It's not something I could do before
PP- Boo on the ventolin
Cathie - When you talk about the walker are you talking about the push walker or sit in one? We recently got a push walker for Eden and yeah, it's too fast for him too
So I don't get on my laptop much. I get my cyber hit from facebook on my phone. It doesn't seem like I've missed much on here anyway. It's very quiet in here
Eden has been sick again. He had Roseola which lead to an ear infection so he's on antibiotics at the moment. He amazes us every day at how interactive he is. He started doing sign language a while back. He signs mummy, finished & milk and tries to do daddy & bed. He says ahhhhhh when I ask him to. He also says Did it... Weird I know... I say "Eden say I did it" and he says 'Did it" It's a total crack up. We also say "yeahhhhh" with arms up in the air and he copies. Tee he he, we use him like a little show monkey.
We're still breastfeeding of course which is going really well. He has 4 feeds a day. I will be weaning him at 12 months as I am dying to get back into shape and breastfeeding is just hindering that (for me). We're still going strong with BLS, he's just a champion eater.
We are having a first birthday party for him on Dec 17th. Just here at home. It will be a train theme as his nickname is Mr Choo Choo. Yes I know, a strange knick name. No real reason for it, just something DH started and when DS1 started calling him that it just stuck
I better run, DH's birthday today I need to go & make a card
Take care
-
Hey Georgi good to hear from you. For a minute there i thought you were saying you were the one experiencing morning sickness!!!!!! I know it's not in your plans but thought that maybe you were expecting a surprise #3 like us :)
Hope Eden feels better really soon. He sounds so clever, i know with us and Charlie we were really surprised at how early he did communicate with us, not that we didn't try with Aidan but i think we assumed he was still too young when really he wasn't. Amazing little beings they are :)
So ladies am i the only one who is doing 3 hourly feeds of an evening?? Even less than sometimes :( I'm so over it, i was not a happy mum last night and tried the hugs and pats and really it got no where and in the end i gave her a little bit of one side. I don't want this i'm so tired and i hate the screaming that i have to go through. I've ordered the No Cry Sleep Solution and it can't come soon enough... Something has to change...
Anyway another wet and raining day here. Talk soon ladies :)
-
Hi ladies,
Georgi - yeah the push walker, it goes way too fast for him...

Hi all!
Charlotte, boo on the m/s :( hope it doesn't hang around too long for you. There's a girl at work who has had hyperemesis the whole pregnancy. Poor thing, she is so miserable. She wanted four kids but is seriously reconsidering. LOL at Hannie going for the cat food - Millie hasn't eaten any yet, not for lack of trying though!
Georgi, sorry to hear that Eden was sick but wow he sounds like he's a great little communicator :) Happy b'day to your DH!
EJ, hugs. Hoping change happens for you. A friend of mine at mother's group was having a pretty terrible time with her DS and ended up going to Tresillian. It was a Pantene solution - the change didn't happen over night, but it did happen!
Hey Cathie :)
Millie is heaps better. She was so good at the paed yesterday, played on the floor while we talked and then sat quietly through the examination and the renal ultrasound. He thinks both holes in her heart have completely closed up, and that her kidneys are fine, but that she is more than likely going to develop asthma. She's on prednisone at the moment as well as the ventolin and the antibiotics (poor little mite, and she just opens her mouth and takes it - she is so incredibly good. I went back to work and she happily went to her carers today so we're back to normality... until the next time she picks up a bug!
Hope you're all well!

Time for a new thread, please find it HERE :D
