CHARLOTTE - Ooooooh, how exciting. Have a wonderful day on Saturday (how can you not right?)
PP -Thanks, the mastitis did clear up quickly, phew. Yeah my DH's family is so much less complicated than mine. They are so much easier to deal with lol. Yay holidays soon. Not long
MADB - Funny enough they didn't look like strangers as with FB we were always uploading pics and of course I stalked all their photos too so even knew what their hubby's looked liked lol. Yay for sleeping! I hate it when you get to bed late. I went to bed late last night too cause I was watching Packed to the Rafters. But I am very fortunate that DH got up to Byron at 6am so I got to sleep in till Eden woke at 7am
Thankfully my mastitis didn't get any worse & is feeling much better today. I just wish this flu would take a hike. I have booked me & the kids into the doctors at 2.30 today. Im hoping antibiotics will help. Two weeks is just too long.
Eden was doing my head in yesterday. He just whinged all day. He didn't want to be picked up, he didn't want to be put down, grrrrr. I hope he was just having an off day & pray that it doesn't continue today. I'd love to blame teething but I can't see any teeth coming. He's had these 4 teeth for 3 months now. Wondering when the next ones will appear. Surely he's due for some?
-
Hi all
Miri had her (belated) 8-month check up today. All looking good. She's slimmed down a bit ;), but.... her head circumference is off the scale. That's what you get for marrying into a family of big heads I guess. (her HC is the average for a 2 year old girl, according to the scales)
-
Hey girls!
EJ - Thanks for asking about DH. His allergy testing was.....interesting. He had a reaction to the things like prawns, lobster etc and also to peanuts. The weird thing is, he'd had prawns with his lunch BEFORE we went to his appointment and had no problem. The doctor is absolutely stumped. He said occasionally he sees a case where he just can't pinpoint so he has to just continue carrying his epi-pen and phenergen (sp?) and if he has another reaction he has to call him for another appointment. It's scary but hopefully he doesn't have another reaction. Thanks for the book suggestion too, I went to the bookstore but it's out of print! So I have to do some digging to see if I can find a copy, sounds like something even I'd like to read. Hope you and the kids are well. BIG  for what I read on FB. You have us here should you need anything. xox Oh and I'm another Moogoo lover!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Again big  for your nephew....sounds like you're doing a great job keeping the memories of him alive, that's just lovely.
PP - Gosh, what a full on weekend. Sorry nothing went to plan  how frustrating. Hope Millie is better, poor little chicken. There is so much going around, I can't wait to hear that all our bubs are back healthy again at the same time :) Great news on the sewing time though!! I'm so jealous of all you crafty types...I wish I had it in me! I hope your next two weeks stay relatively uneventful and the holidays come around fast!
Audax - Glad the sickness has passed! Hope it stays that way now!
Crumpet - Hope Summah's rash has cleared up? Poor little thing, that sounds painful.
MadB - Go Miri with the bum shuffling!! I hope that second top tooth has come through, they take their time don't they. That's so sweet that she loves to watch her big brother! I was the same with my big brothers (twins). That's great news she's had a few nights of sleep, I hope this is a sign of things to come, you sure do deserve some rest lovely lady! If it all works out, please send her over here to have a word with Jacob (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz). :) Great news on Miri's check up, on the HC. She looks perfect to me!!
Georgi - Glad you had a nice time in Melbourne. I'm glad your mastitis didn't turn out any worse, that'd be just what you need (NOT!). Try take it easy and recover fully soon! Fingers crossed that whatever is bothering Eden it passes soon. I love the latest video of him, what a cutie pie!! I love how his face lit up awww :)
Char - don't be nervous chick, the wedding will be perfect. Try to relax and enjoy it, cause it will just fly... I'm so excited for you!! Get photos up when you get a chance but don't hurry, we can wait till you come down from cloud nine! Hannah sounds like she's doing so well, won't be long before she'll be crawling everywhere...she's such a determined clever little girl!
I have to get to bed but will come back to update on us tomorrow. Hope everyone is well xox
-
Must go to bed because its late but just letting you know i will be keeping facebook for you guys under another user name xo
-
That's great EJ! I'm glad, I was wondering how we would be able to continue to see Harper Barper grow!! Still think whoever this person is should be ashamed. Nice to hear you're staying with us xox
-
What's happened EJ? With FB I mean. I missed something
MADB - Wowzer! What a huge head! Must have big brains in there
JULES - So funny isn't it. He got all excited when I said bye te he he
-
Logged on to FB to give you a hug, EJ, and you were gone and I felt sad.
I'm so sorry about your nephew. It's not fair to lose a child. I watched my sister go through losing my niece at 20 weeks.
I watch parents on the Gastroschisis Support page go through loss quite a bit.
Jules -- That's so weird about your DH's allergy testing. I was thinking about it the other day and forgot to ask....
I've been trying to teach Hannah to say Mum. It's not working at all. I go "mum mum" and she says "da da dada". SO I go "mamama" And get a raspberry and "dadada" back. Funny little ferret, she is. It's like she knows what I'm trying to get her to say, so she says the opposite.
Wedding plans are full steam ahead. FIL and his partner and DP's grandparents are turning up tomorrow afternoon. The grandparents haven't met Hannah yet as they live south of Adelaide and Adelaide is 5 hours. Then the rest of the guests are turning up Saturday afternoon. Wedding Sunday at 2pm!
I'm exhausted. Got a house to clean so what did I do? Pull down a perfectly good blind and put up a venetian blind in the toilet. Took 3 BLOODY HOURS and I can hardly feel my arms, but it looks fabulous! I'm thinking the spare room and bathroom will have to wait for a while, til I get some engery back.
DP is off mowing the lawn and stuff.
Talk soon!
-
So much going on Charlotte!!!! It's all coming together now, i remember back when you mentioned your wedding being in septemeber and thinking to myself "oh yes that's still a fair way away...." and now it's here!!! Better get my facebook for BB sorted so i can see photos. It really doesn't seem fair the the first word most bubs say is dadada, all mine did but Harper is also saying mum mum now so that's pretty exciting :) Have a wonderful day on Sunday, i hope it's all you and your DP dreamed of xox Thanks for the hugs. No one should have to go through the loss of a child.
Jules I'm happy to hear the testing has been done and you have some answers but on the other hand sounds like you still need to be really careful. I still have my fingers crossed for you guys that you never need to use that epi-pen. Jules if that book is out of print and you have trouble getting a copy i'd more than happy to post you mine. It's so worth the read, if you were happy to read it and send in back (take your time by all means) i'd love to do it for you.
Crumpet how's DD going? Is she still making change time really tricky? I hope her bott doesn't get too sore. Exact same happers here if i'm sick, DH is no extra help at all.
Yay for Miri discovering some way of moving around!! A whole new world will become available to her now. That sleep sounded fantastic, a bit like the one Harper had the other night. Did it last for you???? It didn't for me :D So the scales say... Miri is perfect :)
You did a fantastic thing taking on 3 extra kiddies for 10 days Georgi!!!! I'm sure it was greatly appreciated by the girls parents. It is a stange yet really exciting thing to do when you meet online friends, i met some girls from when i was pregnant with Charlie boy and we still chat online now. It's a really special friendship to me, kind of sentimental because of our little ones.
PP i hope you are able to help your sister and your niece in any way that you can. If you can do something all you can do is what feels right in your heart. Maybe your sister has lost sight of a few things temporarily and just needs a gentle push in the right direction? You've almost made it through the Term!!!!! Woo hoo :)
I know there's no real need to apologise for the facebook thing but it's not really something you lovely ladies needed to be witness to. But thank you so much for your support. Without going too much into the details of it all because there is a whole lot to it... i would never do something like that lightly but the time had come to say enough was enough. It's just a tricky situation because of who it is and the history involved. But anyway deleting this person wasn't enough for me, i completely agree with what MadB said about it being the person and not facebook but for me it was what i needed to do. When i get a chance i'm going to open up a new account which will be for my BB friends (and probably under EJ), the only BB girls i'm friends with are your guys and the girls from my BB group with Charlie boy. I'm completely fine and feel really happy with my decision :)
So i need to head to bed, Harper fed every couple of hours last night for some reason and was up at 6:30pm. The boys had a sleepover at their cousins but had a really late night and this afternoon/tonight was like walking on eggshells with them just to try and keep the peace.
Hope everyone is well xox
-
Glad you've figured out a way that works for you EJ. I think FB is really only useful for keeping in touch with people you don't see very often (or at all in the case of online friends)
Nope. not repeated :) The 2nd top tooth is making her miserable. I've even put some nasty bonjela on it a few times  She was not impressed, but I really think it helped her last night.
Miri is the same. A few times she's said Maaaaam. And I say, yes, that's me, mum! And she smiles and says Da-Da!
Wow, busy busy Charlotte! Hope your feet are warming nicely ;)
What was the book (sorry, not paying attention)? The BB online store is closing with 20% discount on everything, did you check in there?
And yep, I'm going with teh big brain theory :)
-
Jules just noticed that the book is for sale in the BB online book store. It's reduced also becasue they are closing. It says it's in stock!! It's where i got mine from :)
ETA: Snap MadB :)
ETA again.... As of tonight (i wonder if there are papers i'm meant to sign????) i can kind of say i'm officially unemployed. I have had an 'ongoing' position so have been lucky enough to go on leave and have my job held for me for the past 4 years (only working part time inbetween having Aidan and Charlie). And today my 'boss' called to say he can't for the sake of the place of employment continue to hold my position for me. I had kind of prepared myself to hear this and i'm more than ok with it because i know where i need to be right now. He did say if and when the time comes he would have me back though. So for the first time in... 15 years i'm unemployed!!! It's sad because i loved that job but the last few months i have acutally been thinking about going back to school to learn and challenge myself so was wondering whether or not i'd choose to go back anyway. I'm a bit excited about what may lie ahead :)

-
EJ - I miss my nieces like crazy so I was stoked to be able to spend 10 whole days with them. My sister of course said she would return the favour, but I really don't know if I would leave my kids with her for more than a couple of days. Her girls are beautiful, extremely well behaved, but not from her parenting that's for sure. Let's just say my sister is very relaxed. My kids would probably end up eating chocolate cake for breakfast lol
MADB - Poor Miri. So she only has one tooth with one on the way?
CHARLOTTE - Only two more sleeps!
I am just loving the way Eden is so interactive now. Clapping & waving. He also copies you when you shake your head no or nodd yes. Such a cutie....
The antibiotics seem to have started to work. Yay, we're on the mend!
-
she has 3 teeth and keeps grinding them together!
Glad to h ear you're on the mend
-
Teeth grinding gives me goose bumps :)
I've set up a new facebook page girls. I was able to send requests to a few of you but some didn't come up in a search. I'm too tired to do anymore tonight, it's a start for now :)
Hope all are well :)
-
I got a text saying that I had a friend request and I was all "Who the hell is THIS!?!", til I logged on and realised. Hehe!!
One more sleep!
-
Thinking of you all weekend Charlotte!!!!
Dont get too excited about the request.... can't log in to it now Grrrrrrrrr
-
Was just thikning about you Charlotte! One more sleep
-
Charlotte - By the time you read this you will be a 'MRS'!! Hope it's all going well!! Good luck teaching Han to say 'mum', I'm not having any luck here either, he's said it ONCE by mistake I figure... I figure once he learns it it'll be all I hear and I'll probably get sick of it, so I'll enjoy the peace hahahaha.
EJ - Thanks for the info on that book and the generous offer to loan it, I bought it off bellybelly, yay!! can't wait for it to arrive... Hope Harper didn't have another night of feeds, it's funny how that happens sometimes hey... It's so exhausting  Hope the boys caught up on their sleep too! Don't even think about apologising for the FB thing, I think you did the mature thing by just taking yourself out of the equation. I feel much the same with things in my life sometimes, I am very careful with who I surround myself with these days. Congrats on being free to explore another career, any ideas what you might want to do? I have plans of doing a teaching degree but haven't done much about it yet!
MadB - Any sign of that second top tooth? I found Jacob was soooooo much worse with the top than the bottom. He's teething again at the moment so we're having a few off nights here and there. I hate bonjela, but sometimes it works a charm. Thanks for the suggestion of checking the online store, I had not even thought of it  I ordered it so just waiting for it to arrive :)
Georgi - How cute is Eden, what a clever boy...I'm jealous of the clapping, I do it to try teach Jacob and he just smiles at me, he likes the sound and gets excited. The closest he's come to doing it is clapping one hand on the top of the other... close enough  Hmmmmm, chocolate cake for breakfast, might skip that one :)
Hello to everyone else!!
We're going good here, teething again...what else is new! I am back to the old grind again, I dropped mum over at the train station in rocky (3.5 hrs away) on Friday and got home yesterday, sad to see her go but it's nice to have time with me and Jacob again. She was a massive help though, I'm pretty caught up with everything around the house (realistically I'm never going to have it ALL done) gotta go, Jacobs awake.....talk soon! xox
-
Well, I'm officially a MRS! Uploading pictures as I write this so will post the link to the album as I don't have all of you on there. Feel free to add me!
I've changed my name on FB and had people calling me Mrs all day. It's creepy!! The wedding day went off without a hitch, a few things bothered me but it was all good.
Hannah's being an angel. Her middle right tooth has cut.
Here it is! Chat tomorrow hopefully!
Our wedding 18/9/2011 | Facebook
-
oh Mrs Charlotte they are wonderful shots. You and Hannah look absolutely beautiful! And what a beautiful backdrop for the wedding too.
-
Absolutely beautiful Charlotte!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your speical day with us. Looks like you guys had so much fun xox
-
Charlotte - Congratulations!! Thanks for sharing the pics, they are so beautiful (not to mention funny!! haha, how funny are the boys). Hope it was all you dreamt of and more. xox
Hello to everyone else!! It's so quiet in here, everyone must be busy with their beautiful little ones. Hope everyone is doing well.
We are doing well, still teething (what else is new) I have a real cuddle monster on my hands, still won't sleep in his cot, I'm beginning to wonder if he ever will. But for now I'm just treasuring the time spent together and focusing on how happy and healthy Jacob is, that makes it all worth it as far as I'm concerned. I'm kind of considering moving his cot into our bedroom and having him sleep right beside me so he can get used to it with me close by...anyone else ever done this? MadB I remember you saying something similar....?? (could be wrong) I just want to be able to sleep in the same bed as DH but not push Jacob into his cot.
Anyway, I've rambled enough...all that aside we are doing really well. :)
-
It has been pretty quiet Jules :)
I have never done it myself but have heard of plenty putting the cot in their bedroom and even having the side down/off and right up against the bed. If it works and allows everyone to get some quality sleep why not give it a go?? How does Jacob sleep during the day?
All is good here, i've just had another weekend of it being me and the kids. It was DH's bday last week and his present was to be able to go fishing for the weekend. The kids and i did nothing at all, just hung around home and played and slept and played some more. I have been doing a bit of sewing as i've just gotten my own sewing machine!!! I had been using my mum's but last week i went to visit an aunty of mine and she gave me hers and her overlocker!!! I have never used an overlocker before so i have some learning to do there but i'm really excited.
Harper is travelling along nicely, no sign of any teeth yet though. Still just commando crawling around everywhere. Tonight we have just lowered her cot mattress, today was the first time that she's wiggled out from under the blankets to play with some teddies when she woke from her sleep. It's a little bit of a milestone for me, another sign that she's getting bigger.
Anyway school holidays now so no activities or kinder for two weeks, except swimming and we're doing a fast track program for a week so Aidan has 4 extra lessons.
Hope everyone is well. I miss just been able to catch up and see what's happening on facebook. The account i set up under the name EJ won't let me sign in, the forgot password link doesn't work it just keeps taking me back to login again which i can't do. So i'm just waiting for the other accounts i had to be terminated and then i'll possibly set up another one. Till then i'll keep in touch here :)

Hi all,
Sorry, this will be a quick catch up - just wanted to drop in and say hi as I'm taking a facebook vacation and am not on the laptop too often at the moment. Millie is on the move in a big way and nothing is safe, so the laptop gets packed away these days!
I really know now why they are called 'developmental leaps' - this week alone Millie has cut a tooth, started sleeping unwrapped, mastered crawling, started pulling herself up on things, and saying "Dad", "Mumumum" and "cat"... oh and EJ, we busted her standing up in her cot while she should have been sleeping, while was hilarious :) So proud of her!
She has a cold at the moment (just as I got over tonsilitis and laryngitis... and right in time for my supposed holidays!!!!) and has just woken up a bit early... so sorry lovely ladies I will have to come back for persies later. Hope you're all well, thinking of you!

MadB, pweeheehee, yes, DH’s family is indeed diverse… I now have a Nigerian BIL, an Hispanic nephew-in-law, my DH is half German and his half-siblings are ¼ Aboriginal :) Millie lost a little weight too, from 8 months (9kg) to 10 (8.9). I don’t know if that’s normal, but she’s grown heaps, still had her little rolls, and apart from being a germ factory, is a sturdy little mite.
Georgi, glad to hear everyone is on the mend! It is just awful when everyone takes it in turns to get sick… and as I now realise, Mummies don’t get sick days!!
Jules, just keep an eye on DH and his allergies. I tested positive to just about every allergen except wheat and dairy… which is crazy as they are the main allergens for asthmatics! BUT seafood came up on mine as well and I have always eaten seafood with no probs, but had never tried mussels prior to that. About a year after the tests I had them and had a violent reaction. Not pleasant.
EJ, good on you for making the decision with work. So glad you’re excited about the future :) and fb… I’m taking a break for now. I love it for keeping in touch with family and friends, but given what has been going on with my sister, I just need some time off it. I’m finding I’m procrastinating much less! Hooray for the overlocker, now that I’m making a few clothes I’m tempted to get one… but will hold off for awhile!
Charlotte, hooray, hooray, hooray for the wedding! Loved the pictures, it looks like you had an absolutely magical day. Little Hannie looked so cute and you looked STUNNING :) Congratulations, hope married life is treating you well!
Kaz, Cathie, Audax, Crumpet… :grouphug:

PP I know exactly what you're saying about the facebook vacation, i just couldn't even have it at my disposal to look at anymore. Very tricky situation for me, somewhat like you describe. But it's been great here, no computer on all day and just doing other things... like sewing... :)
OMG standing in the cot!!! Cheekie girl... It's so hard not to laugh when they're so cute. I still have trouble being seriously upset with Aidan sometimes
I hope Millie is feeling better really quickly. Horrible germs... Enjoy your holidays i hope the cold last for a short time and you get to be out and about or just laze around home together.
PP do you look on the Etsy and Madeit websites??? Oh my gosh i just wish i had a never ending money pit and hours in the day to purchase or make things for myself. I just finally found some dress patterns that i liked on Etsy. $25 for 5 PDF patterns!!! I'm a bit excited :D
It's 9pm i'm going to sew for an hour before Harper wakes and i head to bed.
-
hi everyone!
We're chugging along. Exhausted. 2nd top tooth still not trhough and Miri not sleeping. very busy running around organising things before our trip.
have a new obsession - wraps. I've bought 2 woven wraps, hope to get them soon so I can start practicing tying miri on my back. :D tried it the other day, was very comfortable and much better than teh ergo. just hope miri likes it too.
yay for sewing!
Jules, we ahve the cot next to the be, but she wakes so often still it's easier to just have her in bed. in theory there's room for 3 of us, but DH still sleeps elsewhere. if she starts sleeping better I"ll stick her in the cot. one day :D
-
PP i wanted to ask also who did you get Millie out of the sleeping bag? I've been thinking of doing it lately as Harper gets one out all the time anyway now.
The wraps sound great MadB, can you manage them on your own without help?
Oh the teeth stories.... :o The boys teethed relitively ok but not assuming Harper will do the same, makes me a little nervous about what could be to come :)
-
Hi girls... We finally have ADSL internet, woohoo! Now hopefully I won't have anymore internet issues.
We have sick little boys again :( Eden has had high temps and terrible runny nose for a few days. He is just so sick. Sleeping for 4 hours during the days. And his teething like mad too. The poor mite. He's chewing on his fingers and he's just so unhappy. Byron is covered in a rash. The doctor has no idea what it is. He thinks it looks viral but Byron is showing no signs of sickness at all. He's just fine. So it's a mystery. Eden did have a little rash for a couple of days before he got sick so not sure if it's linked.
Other than that, not much else happening. I'm up early to go to the gym, which I've been doing 4-5 mornings. Still not losing weigh though, damn breast feeding. Weird that for me breastfeeding makes me hold fat.... Poo.....
Anyway... I'll be back later to catch up properly
-
Hi all :)
EJ, I bought my sister's Christmas present on Etsy last year... just went back for a look as well as madeit. For the sake of my bank balance I should avoid them both for awhile! I'm not signing up to it officially, but I'm having a crack at "buy nothing new month" in October. So no new nappies, baby-proof necklaces, or cute clothes for Millie for a whole month!!! (I'll try, anyway!) $25 for 5 patterns is a great deal though.
We tried to go gradually with the wrap - unzipped it halfway etc but it wasn't going well. One week I forgot to pack it in her daycare bag so they used muslin wraps, which she was able to get out of but still slept okay. Then the weekend Millie had conjunctivitis we were putting her in a fresh wrap after every sleep as she kept rubbing her mucky eyes and she only has two wrap-me-ups in the large size so we kept those for nights and put her in stretchy flat wraps during the day. In the wrap-me-up, she was rolling herself onto her tummy after 45 mins and then waking up and struggling... so in the end I just ditched it for an afternoon sleep and hoped for the best. She rolled over after about 45 minutes... and resettled and slept for another 45mins. Tried it again that night and tah-dah! she now sleeps unwrapped. Huge relief - she had such a strong sleep association with the wrap that I didn't know how she'd go without it.
MadB, when are you off on your trip? I hope the preparations are going well. As DH reminded me when I was a bit frantic before we went away, we could always get what we needed where we were going. My big issue was Millie's bottles and feeding - breast feeding would have been sooooo much easier (obviously!) so that's one great thing for you.
Something is better than the ergo?! Woah!
Oh Georgi, I'm so sorry you've got sick little ones again. I hope they recover soon. Gee you're good getting to the gym. I haven't been in weeks!
We're doing okay. Millie has just got over a cold and is her normal sparky self again, crawling everywhere and getting into everything. She's making friends with the cat, which is very sweet. I have a voice again now, but a niggly cough and a very swollen gland in my throat which I'm ignoring in the hope that it will go away. DH has had a cold for a couple of days and of course he's dying of the man flu. Riiiiight. I've put Millie in daycare while I'm on holidays - we have to pay for it anyway and I've been able to do fun stuff (not) like go to the dentist and optometrist. Also got a mani and pedi today, whoohoo! Haven't done that since the day before Millie was born :)
Thinking of you all :)
xox
-
I'm picking up my first wrap tomorrow. Have to practice practice practice first - might be a while before I'm confident to do it out and about without a 'spotter' (I can do it in front of the bed at home, so she doesn't have far to fall)
But yes, for back carries, even when I hadn't tied it very well, it was soooo much more comfy. I'd rate it an 8.5 for comfort (compared to walking around with nothing on my back), versus maybe 6 for the ergo.
I want to do buy nothing month, but it'll be hard on holiday. Will see how we go.
can't believe that second top tooth STILL hasn't come through.
Sorry to hear the boys aren't well Georgi. Hope they're well again soon.
BOO to man flu.
-
HI all,
Just a quick hello and letting you all know that my babies are 3 today, the time has gone so quickly. I remember when I brought them home from hospital :o. Looking at kevin going OMG what do we do with 2:wall:
Cathie:p
-
Hi all!
Oh Cathie, congratulations, and happy birthday to your little ones! The 30th was my gorgeous nephew's 12th birthday - a good day for lovely young people :)
MadB, when are you heading off? The wrap sounds good - is it like this? A friend of mine is of Peruvian heritage and is considering something like it for her Jellybean, due in January.
All's good here, Millie is a totally different baby to the one I had two weeks ago. Still her beautiful self, but developing so fast. She's getting really good with self-feeding now, demolished an avocado and cream cheese sandwich at lunch today and actually let me know the cat wanted to come in! I was preparing dinner and she was in her highchair, facing the back door, which I couldn't see. She said "Mumumum" so I looked up, then pointed and said "cat!" Sure enough, there was Tink waiting to be let in...
Actually the cat turned 14 today. We sang her Happy Birthday, but no cake... she's on a diet and horribly lactose intolerant :)
I'm still bloody sick. My upper respiratory tract appears to be hosting a leper colony or something. I would like to go a couple of days without tissues, lozenges and ventolin, please!!
Hope you're all well!
xox
-
Hi guys
have a second while kids distracted
It's a bit like that, yeah. I've put a pic on facebook if you get on. That really sucks abuot being so sick still
Happy Birthday to the twins! I've been meaning to ask Cathie, do you all fit on one medicare cared (just a random question)?
We're off Thursday morning.
That 2nd top tooth still isn't through. But the 2nd along on the other side is cutting now. she was horribly constipated on the weekend after being quite good for a coupel of weeks. used some glycerin suppositories to get that going and some coloxyl in her water to keep it soft. poor thing. will try even harder to wind back the food to fruit & veg I think.
must dash.
-
MadB, great pic! Good luck with your preparations for your trip. Hope poor Miri's pooing sorts itself out.
Millie is working on walking now! Impatient little one, she is!
-
EJ - hows the new overlocker going?? Have you had a chance to have play yet? :) Hope the weekend with the kids went well. Hope to see you on fb again soon, missing seeing pics of your gorgeous little ones.
PP - That's the exact reason I don't get on my laptop much!! Thank god for facebook on phones  Jacob sees my laptop out and he smashes on the keys and pulls on the cord and I end up having to put it away!! Thanks for the heads up on the allergic reaction, I often worry about DH, I make sure we always carry his epi pen with us wherever we go. Glad you got through your reaction ok, sounds scary! I love the latest videos of Millie on the move, what a little sweetie! She is way too cute.
MadB - You did a great job on the wrap! Thanks for sharing the info on the cot. Our little ones are similar...both want their mummies close by. If Jacob wakes and I'm not there he's not impressed...it's like I've left him forever. Oh well, I just think of all the extra snuggles I'm getting and it's hard to complain about that!! You must leave soon for your trip? Hope the packing is going well, bet you're getting excited!
Georgi - Welcome back!! Sorry to hear the boys aren't well. Are they doing better now? Hope your internet behaves for you!
:hello: Cathie! Hope the twins had a great birthday! :)
Hope everyone else is doing well. Jacob and I are doing ok, minus the sleep....still teething, I can't believe it's still not through, I can see it clearly but it's just not cutting....so annoying! As you've probably read on FB, Jacob was ten months old yesterday and he took his first two steps...we were just playing around and he took off, I couldn't believe it.
Take care xoxo

#*&% Facebook i feel terrible about missing all those milestones and special moments. Something isn't right with it, i had my original account that i had for ages and then you may remember i started up another because i thought i was having issues with logging in and posting and all that stuff. So the next kirstie one was fine and then i got rid of it because of the statement i needed to make. I then set up an EJ one which seemed to be all good but once i was logged out i could never sign back in again. I since tried to make another one with my original email address (it takes two weeks for them to officially close your account completely) and the same happened, i made the account but as soon as i logged out i couldn't log back in again. I'm wondering if they are suspicious of me because of doing this but i have no way of contacting facebook to even try and explain myself. Nothing works!!!!! So i do hate not being able to keep in touch with you guys with photos and little convos that way. I hope it all passes soon.
MadB enjoy your trip away, i wish i could see the wrap :(
PP thanks for the tips on the sleeping bag, i've never used one of these bags before and they are a bit different to wean from than a sheet wrap. I added a few 'favourites' to my etsy account. I've trying to be very restrained also, not hard when there is no $$ to spend anyway :)
Cathie Happy Birthday to your gorgeous twins!!! I bet there was some excitement in the house that day :) Hope Charlie boy is well.
Cathie i hope the germs are gone for good soon. Have you had a chance to sew yet?
Jules did you decide to move the cot? I konw the need for the closeness can be a little overwhelming at times but it really is for such a short time in the long run. I always put myself in their little mind and see how i would feel in similar situations and then think about the mother i want to be for them to know the right choice for me. Have you received your book yet? How's your little man apart from those nasty teeth? Anymore walking happening? I was talking to a lady i worked with this week and her son walked at 7 months!!!!! :o
Hello to all our other lovely ladies. Miss Charlotte how is married life treating you???
Things are good here, school holidays has been really quite nice, we had swimming last week which i think i may have mentioned, it was great and Aidan was so worn out by friday the only bad thing about last week was the rain. This week has been much nicer and we have play dates on nearly every day. I would love to have facebook to show you what i have been making lately. I've been sewing some bibs which are turning out really nicely and i have made the first dress out of the patterns i bought last week. I was so easy and i'm starting to be a bit more happy with my sewing standard, i think i'm almost at the point that i would sell some things to friends and family. I don't know if i could ever sell like the do on Etsy and Madeit though. I have made Harper two quilts and would now like to make one for the boys each.
Harper is great, down to two wakes a night at around 1am and 5am, this week anyway.... She has figured out the split level steps in our house which is a bit clever. I know i asked a little while ago but how many breastfeeds are we at now? I wonder what is the minimal amount they can have at this age?
Better go need to be out of here by 11am.
Talk soon girls :)
