I've set up a new facebook page girls. I was able to send requests to a few of you but some didn't come up in a search. I'm too tired to do anymore tonight, it's a start for now
Charlotte - By the time you read this you will be a 'MRS'!! Hope it's all going well!! Good luck teaching Han to say 'mum', I'm not having any luck here either, he's said it ONCE by mistake I figure... I figure once he learns it it'll be all I hear and I'll probably get sick of it, so I'll enjoy the peace hahahaha.
EJ - Thanks for the info on that book and the generous offer to loan it, I bought it off bellybelly, yay!! can't wait for it to arrive... Hope Harper didn't have another night of feeds, it's funny how that happens sometimes hey... It's so exhausting Hope the boys caught up on their sleep too! Don't even think about apologising for the FB thing, I think you did the mature thing by just taking yourself out of the equation. I feel much the same with things in my life sometimes, I am very careful with who I surround myself with these days. Congrats on being free to explore another career, any ideas what you might want to do? I have plans of doing a teaching degree but haven't done much about it yet!
MadB - Any sign of that second top tooth? I found Jacob was soooooo much worse with the top than the bottom. He's teething again at the moment so we're having a few off nights here and there. I hate bonjela, but sometimes it works a charm. Thanks for the suggestion of checking the online store, I had not even thought of it I ordered it so just waiting for it to arrive
Georgi - How cute is Eden, what a clever boy...I'm jealous of the clapping, I do it to try teach Jacob and he just smiles at me, he likes the sound and gets excited. The closest he's come to doing it is clapping one hand on the top of the other... close enough Hmmmmm, chocolate cake for breakfast, might skip that one
Hello to everyone else!!
We're going good here, teething again...what else is new! I am back to the old grind again, I dropped mum over at the train station in rocky (3.5 hrs away) on Friday and got home yesterday, sad to see her go but it's nice to have time with me and Jacob again. She was a massive help though, I'm pretty caught up with everything around the house (realistically I'm never going to have it ALL done) gotta go, Jacobs awake.....talk soon! xox
Well, I'm officially a MRS! Uploading pictures as I write this so will post the link to the album as I don't have all of you on there. Feel free to add me!
I've changed my name on FB and had people calling me Mrs all day. It's creepy!! The wedding day went off without a hitch, a few things bothered me but it was all good.
Hannah's being an angel. Her middle right tooth has cut.
Charlotte - Congratulations!! Thanks for sharing the pics, they are so beautiful (not to mention funny!! haha, how funny are the boys). Hope it was all you dreamt of and more. xox
Hello to everyone else!! It's so quiet in here, everyone must be busy with their beautiful little ones. Hope everyone is doing well.
We are doing well, still teething (what else is new) I have a real cuddle monster on my hands, still won't sleep in his cot, I'm beginning to wonder if he ever will. But for now I'm just treasuring the time spent together and focusing on how happy and healthy Jacob is, that makes it all worth it as far as I'm concerned. I'm kind of considering moving his cot into our bedroom and having him sleep right beside me so he can get used to it with me close by...anyone else ever done this? MadB I remember you saying something similar....?? (could be wrong) I just want to be able to sleep in the same bed as DH but not push Jacob into his cot.
Anyway, I've rambled enough...all that aside we are doing really well.
I have never done it myself but have heard of plenty putting the cot in their bedroom and even having the side down/off and right up against the bed. If it works and allows everyone to get some quality sleep why not give it a go?? How does Jacob sleep during the day?
All is good here, i've just had another weekend of it being me and the kids. It was DH's bday last week and his present was to be able to go fishing for the weekend. The kids and i did nothing at all, just hung around home and played and slept and played some more. I have been doing a bit of sewing as i've just gotten my own sewing machine!!! I had been using my mum's but last week i went to visit an aunty of mine and she gave me hers and her overlocker!!! I have never used an overlocker before so i have some learning to do there but i'm really excited.
Harper is travelling along nicely, no sign of any teeth yet though. Still just commando crawling around everywhere. Tonight we have just lowered her cot mattress, today was the first time that she's wiggled out from under the blankets to play with some teddies when she woke from her sleep. It's a little bit of a milestone for me, another sign that she's getting bigger.
Anyway school holidays now so no activities or kinder for two weeks, except swimming and we're doing a fast track program for a week so Aidan has 4 extra lessons.
Hope everyone is well. I miss just been able to catch up and see what's happening on facebook. The account i set up under the name EJ won't let me sign in, the forgot password link doesn't work it just keeps taking me back to login again which i can't do. So i'm just waiting for the other accounts i had to be terminated and then i'll possibly set up another one. Till then i'll keep in touch here
Sorry, this will be a quick catch up - just wanted to drop in and say hi as I'm taking a facebook vacation and am not on the laptop too often at the moment. Millie is on the move in a big way and nothing is safe, so the laptop gets packed away these days!
I really know now why they are called 'developmental leaps' - this week alone Millie has cut a tooth, started sleeping unwrapped, mastered crawling, started pulling herself up on things, and saying "Dad", "Mumumum" and "cat"... oh and EJ, we busted her standing up in her cot while she should have been sleeping, while was hilarious So proud of her!
She has a cold at the moment (just as I got over tonsilitis and laryngitis... and right in time for my supposed holidays!!!!) and has just woken up a bit early... so sorry lovely ladies I will have to come back for persies later. Hope you're all well, thinking of you!

: trying to delete - somehow posted twice?
MadB, pweeheehee, yes, DH’s family is indeed diverse… I now have a Nigerian BIL, an Hispanic nephew-in-law, my DH is half German and his half-siblings are ¼ Aboriginal Millie lost a little weight too, from 8 months (9kg) to 10 (8.9). I don’t know if that’s normal, but she’s grown heaps, still had her little rolls, and apart from being a germ factory, is a sturdy little mite.
Georgi, glad to hear everyone is on the mend! It is just awful when everyone takes it in turns to get sick… and as I now realise, Mummies don’t get sick days!!
Jules, just keep an eye on DH and his allergies. I tested positive to just about every allergen except wheat and dairy… which is crazy as they are the main allergens for asthmatics! BUT seafood came up on mine as well and I have always eaten seafood with no probs, but had never tried mussels prior to that. About a year after the tests I had them and had a violent reaction. Not pleasant.
EJ, good on you for making the decision with work. So glad you’re excited about the future and fb… I’m taking a break for now. I love it for keeping in touch with family and friends, but given what has been going on with my sister, I just need some time off it. I’m finding I’m procrastinating much less! Hooray for the overlocker, now that I’m making a few clothes I’m tempted to get one… but will hold off for awhile!
Charlotte, hooray, hooray, hooray for the wedding! Loved the pictures, it looks like you had an absolutely magical day. Little Hannie looked so cute and you looked STUNNING Congratulations, hope married life is treating you well!
PP I know exactly what you're saying about the facebook vacation, i just couldn't even have it at my disposal to look at anymore. Very tricky situation for me, somewhat like you describe. But it's been great here, no computer on all day and just doing other things... like sewing...
OMG standing in the cot!!! Cheekie girl... It's so hard not to laugh when they're so cute. I still have trouble being seriously upset with Aidan sometimes
I hope Millie is feeling better really quickly. Horrible germs... Enjoy your holidays i hope the cold last for a short time and you get to be out and about or just laze around home together.
PP do you look on the Etsy and Madeit websites??? Oh my gosh i just wish i had a never ending money pit and hours in the day to purchase or make things for myself. I just finally found some dress patterns that i liked on Etsy. $25 for 5 PDF patterns!!! I'm a bit excited
It's 9pm i'm going to sew for an hour before Harper wakes and i head to bed.
hi everyone!
We're chugging along. Exhausted. 2nd top tooth still not trhough and Miri not sleeping. very busy running around organising things before our trip.
have a new obsession - wraps. I've bought 2 woven wraps, hope to get them soon so I can start practicing tying miri on my back. tried it the other day, was very comfortable and much better than teh ergo. just hope miri likes it too.
yay for sewing!
Jules, we ahve the cot next to the be, but she wakes so often still it's easier to just have her in bed. in theory there's room for 3 of us, but DH still sleeps elsewhere. if she starts sleeping better I"ll stick her in the cot. one day
PP i wanted to ask also who did you get Millie out of the sleeping bag? I've been thinking of doing it lately as Harper gets one out all the time anyway now.
The wraps sound great MadB, can you manage them on your own without help?
Oh the teeth stories.... The boys teethed relitively ok but not assuming Harper will do the same, makes me a little nervous about what could be to come
Hi girls... We finally have ADSL internet, woohoo! Now hopefully I won't have anymore internet issues.
We have sick little boys again Eden has had high temps and terrible runny nose for a few days. He is just so sick. Sleeping for 4 hours during the days. And his teething like mad too. The poor mite. He's chewing on his fingers and he's just so unhappy. Byron is covered in a rash. The doctor has no idea what it is. He thinks it looks viral but Byron is showing no signs of sickness at all. He's just fine. So it's a mystery. Eden did have a little rash for a couple of days before he got sick so not sure if it's linked.
Other than that, not much else happening. I'm up early to go to the gym, which I've been doing 4-5 mornings. Still not losing weigh though, damn breast feeding. Weird that for me breastfeeding makes me hold fat.... Poo.....
