    Hello all,
I just wanted to join this thread. Emilia Rose made her grand entry on 23rd Feb - 3 weeks early. Just got home today. So far she has beed alright. Awake on the hour all night last night, but I managed to catch a snooze this arvo when James (my 2yo DS, who I refer to as J) was having his arvo snooze. Boobs are like melons atm, and I had to have some stiches, but not in any pain with the stiches.
Look forward to getting to know you all and your bubs
    meg and E (Emilia)

hi can i join too? :d i was in the due march thread but bub had other ideas...

my beautiful boy leon was born on wednesday 25th at 7:30pm, 2854g. he was in a hurry to make his entrance - contractions started around 4:30pm out of the blue, i didn't believe it was the real deal until my waters broke at 5:15pm. my middy came around and checked me - i was 7 cms dialated rushed to birth centre (well tried to in peak hr traffic ) got there around 6:15 and a little over an hour later he was in my arms as he is my first, i'm a little concerned how quick any subsequent labours will be - i'm just glad he wasn't born born on the side of the road!

he is feeding beautifully, lost hardly any of his birth weight at his check yesterday. feeding is painful for me, but we'll get there.

looking forward to getting to know you all and your bubba's!

    Wooo our group is growing!!!!

    Welcome Holly, Meg, Rainforest!

Holly that's a bit of a full on experience. Good that it was quick but a bit stressful for you!

Rain, hope your milk has come in! That was a bit of an issue for me too

Meg hope your three week early bub is going well!

    Hi to everyone else!!!

Going as good as can be here. Got a better nights sleep last night as we co slept. She did 9am to 2:30am then straight back down till 6:30 am. So that was nice. Still have to get used to her in the bed as never did that with J, but hey - whatever works.
Great to see you in here Holly! Hi Rainforest.

I really need to write my birth story. Will get around to it soon.

Welcome everyone! I am glad our little group is growing.

Miss Juliette is doing very well and seems to be feeding well just like her sister did. We have our visit to the MHCN tomorrow so I will be interested to see what she has to say. Although J is content to sleep in her basinette during the day for a couple of hours at a time she seems to be less settled at night. Maybe she has a bit of night and day confusion. She does seem to sleep better when she is in the bed with me so maybe she is just an advocate for attachment parenting

I'm thinking of hiring one of those baby hammocks, meant to be good for unsettled babies, thinking I should try anything at the moment!

Hi Laura, of course you are welcome in here!

Holly- Sounds like you are half way there with the feeding, when I think about the chunk missing as you put it it makes me cringe owwie!

OP- How did the night end up going?

Meg- Can be so much harder when there is a toddler to get up to too. I have put Ash name down at child care for one day a week for a break, just gotta wait for a place.

First day on my own today, so far so good (touch wood). Nick Jr is going to be our best friend for next few weeks I think!
