    congrats to Kaz

I did express a little milk last night and DH gave it to DS - got about 30 fl oz and the DS turned around and wanted the real thing! So I'm not sure how that's going to work! I think DS loves the cuddle.

Last night we made it to about 3.30am with the two hour feed and 1.5hr of settling in between, then DS just became very unsettled and we ended up co-sleeping. Little rabbit has been unsettled most of the day - cat naps from 12.30pm (which is when we eventually got up).

Hey, just saying hi! No personals sorry. I'm sick Went to the Dr and I've got an infection, just what I need. Not my scar, but inside or something. Had been having sharp pains in my tummy and bleeding getting heavier and vomiting. Not fun at all. On antibiotics so hopefully feel better soon.

Yay Kaz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear the name!!

Holly & SJ - I hope you are both feeling better soon.

I took J into work to meet everyone today and that seems to have worn her out. She has slept from 4.30 on the couch while we have all had dinner. I'm sure she will be up all night now though!

Had lots visitors today, so of course Em slept well, then awake since 4pm unsettled and cat napping, cluster feeding, hope she settles before I go to sleep!

Heaven- Hope you start feeling better soon, the ABs will hopefully kick in quickly, last thing you need right now.

Tarkine- Your DS sounds very unsettled, I don't know how you are coping with such small gaps sleep! Yeah they can be funny bout expressed milk cause I think half time its more the comfort of boobies than just the milk.

Holly- Also try squeezing some breast milk into the eye, breastmilk can heal everything! That sucks about the mastitis when you were just starting to get on top of the feeds.

Here we go Em is starting up again, hope I get to bed soon!

E is cluster feeding atm too! Must be a growth spurt. She did well till about 3am. Fed at 7:30pm, then 11:40pm, then 3am, then didn't wabnt to settle. Get her down at 4:30am, and she was up at about 6am. Put her in with us, and she fed like a mad woman!!! She has jsut waken again now, so better go feed, She acts STARVING. I am still in my PJ's. Need to get a wriggle on

Megie & Shellbell, Leon is another one who is just wanting to feed all the time. I am feeding like every hour and a half, I just can't believe how much he wants. I know he's not starving but he screams like he is! He is also cat-napping. He will not stay still and asleep for a decent amount of time. It better just be a growth-spurt!

The mastitis has seemed to have subsided dramatically. Does this mean I can stop taking the anti-b's? I hate taking anything and would rather not keep going if I don't have to.

Heaven, so sorry to hear you're unwell. Hope today is better for you.

Off to see the MCHN in an hour, I will die if he hasn't gained some weight after all this feeding!

    Back soon xox

Last night was a nightmare for this household. Mr Catnapper and booby monster! Finally got him to cosleep at 4.30 or was it 5am and he's asleep now, but hungry, windy, clingy. He was like this all day yesterday. Hoping today will be different.

Nai & Tarkine- Thankyou, feeling better today, no puking so far, lol.
Shell- That's always the way, they sleep through all the visitors and then are so unsettled when they leave!! Not fair.
Meg- lol, that's like Grace. She feeds like she's absolutely starving and about to die if she doesn't eat NOW! Not nice for my poor nipples, I wish she'd go a bit easier!!
Holly- Good to hear the mastitis is going. I think you need to keep taking the ABs til the end though even if you feel better. Good luck with the MCHN.

Well, a good night here!! Grace slept from 11pm- 5am. What a good stretch!! My boobs were so full though. Then she went back to sleep and we got another couple of hrs sleep and didn't get up til about 9am. She seems very sleepy atm. I wonder if it's something to do with the ABs I'm on or something. She's asleep now in the hug-a-bub. DH has gone out to get a hair cut and it's the first time we've been alone really!! A bit scary but she's peaceful atm. I'm scared she's going to wake up for a feed though and I won't be able to do it without DHs help!! She's so crazy and her hands are everywhere, I need DH to hold her hands for me!! lol. I will have to wrap her up if she needs feeding, how mean

I'm finding it hard to type one-handed but will see how we go

Ali, it's great you are doing so well. Don't stress about the feeding as it does take them a few weeks to get the whole night/day thing sorted. Remember they used to party at night in utero so they are already a bit all over the place.

I have cut J's nails 3 times alreasdy! She keeps scratching her face and my nipples but her nails just grow so quickly - it's insane.

Also how quick is this? I sent off the birth registration last week and I got J's birth certificate in the mail today!

We're still on 3hrly feeds overnight but at least the settling part is getting better. Just would like a bigger gap in between feeds.

Ali- yay you made it finally!

Tarkine- How has your day been, seems like you are having a rough time at the moment. Hope he settles down for you.

Holly- Keep taking the Abs otherwise it will just start up again, you need to finish the whole course even if you feel better.

I've been giving Em a dummy when I need a break from the cluster feeding, it works so at least I know its just comfort not food she wants. My nipples still tender but its getting better.

    Hi all,

Ali - yay! Welcome! We're so glad to see you

SJ and Holly, so sorry you are both sick Def keep taking the ABs SJ!

I'm actually a bit worried that I didn't take enough of mine, I took the whole course but there was a repeat on the prescription and I didn't fill it - now I'm worried my epi is infected again I have been so good with the salt water, every time I go to the loo I wipe with a salt water solution and then pat dry... sigh!

Tarkine, how has DS been today? Seems like we are all dealing with unsettled bubs at the moment - DD was cluster feeding like a maniac Tues/Weds, went to the in laws for dinner so Grandma could try and settle bub and give me a break and even Grandma was almost at her wits end!

I was exhausted - she only slept in the pram on the way to Mother's Group and on the way home, slept for a bit while we were there but then woke up and screamed until I put her on the boob (ask Odette - meanwhile Levi slept like an angel ).

But finally she went down at 10.30pm and slept thru til like 3.30am! So that was pretty good, got a good sleep. But its so hard when they scream scream scream like you are sticking pins in them!

Maybe they are all having growth spurts??

Isabel has been much better today - she slept til about 9am today after a 6am feed, then was awake til I put her in the car with my mum and we went to visit my sister, she fell asleep in the car and then slept for another hour or so. Then slept on the way to my parent's house and is now awake but quiet in her cocoon on the couch.

Who knows? They are strange creatures... She will probably want to party all night now!

Yeah - Week 2 to 3 growth spurt. I remember it all to clearly with J. It is so great to hear that what our bub's are doing is "normal" as we are all posting the same thing. These first few weeks are all such a blurr. Then before you know it they are nearly 3!

I am sending J off to his Grandma's for the weekend. I just feel that I am not giving him quality time. At least at his Grandma will spoil him rotten and he will have a good time. I just miss him terribly. Even when he is here with me, I feel like I am not giving him the quality time I used to.

I am also feeling like a bit of a blob now. Still got a little pot tum, meaning that I can't get into my pre preg clothes, yet the mat clothes just look terrible.

Ok E is starting to get sooky under her playmat on the floor so better go.
