Kaz - that's fantastic about J today and tonight! Here's hoping he sleeps well tonight! I too get lots of comments about how alert DD is... but I also get told she is cute a lot too Course I think she's gorgeous!
Det and I thought of you today - we had MG at a cafe/bookstore place and we walked out past a stand of Mr Men books
Det you'll have to tell me tomorrow over Koko what's going on with your folks, think I missed it!
Well Isabel crashed at about 6.45pm... fell asleep on the boob, then woke as I put her into the cot, cried and then had a spew on my shoulder, then settled down and has been silent ever since. I think the swimming has tuckered her out! Going to try a rollover feed soon then we'll see how long she sleeps.
Hi all;
Just quickly popping in, I've had a velcro baby all night!! We have the sniffles here bad!! Lewis has it and looks so miserable!! Off to the doctors for us in the morning!! No needles after all..
Sorry but I won't be coming to the gold coast meet up.. we are planning a family hoilday in August and can't afford both..I'm sure it will be heaps of fun though!!!
Be back tomorrow for personals...
This time 6 months ago I think I had finally convinced the midwife that I was actually in labour and not just putting it on.. starting to push right about now!!! Lewis arrived at 11.34pm!!!
Pinny- Hope they clear up quickly, Emily always gets sick at needles time, maybe they plan it that way!
OP- Ooh how exciting! Did it take you long to conceive Isabel? Have you picked out a month when you're gonna start?
Kaz- there are 3 bedroom appartments we organsing for groups of 6, think there fold out beds too so can sleep up to 8. There is a thread going somewhere on the trip, think its in the meet ups section? yay on the good night, hope last night was the same.
Det- Sorry bout your parents, thats awful that you are going thru it, I hope they aren't using you as the piggy in the middle to get to each other. It makes me think if its upsetting for you as a grown woman how kids go thru those nasty seperations.
Meg- i was wondering too how exxy L&E is. Good on you. I reakon thats what I'd do if I wanted weight loss plan. They do all the work for you. Let us know what the meals are like.
Another bad night here, I don't get why she wakes all night with these bursts of being really upset (settles fairly quickly but happens often) then of course morning comes and shes happy as! I give up trying to analyse these things!
I love my foxtel iq, going out tonight to see my nephew in school play so can record all my shows. Then just gotta find time to watch them!
Shell - I am glad you are enjoying the IQ. We have it too. what shows will you be taping tonight?
Nai - Glad the eyes are on the mend.
Pinny - Hoping everyone improves soon in your house.
OP - How time has flown. Hope she had a good sleep after the rollover feed.
Kaz - L&E is not that expensive. $99 a week for 5 lunches and 5 dinners, as I am doing my own breakfasts, and will not do the weekends as we are out a lot. (Will jsut have to be carefull over the weekends)
Det - It must be hard gooing at your hosue at the moment. Hope it improves soon.
I became an Aunt again yesterday. My sis had to have an emergency csect at 11:30 last night after labouring all day. She went through transitional contractions but only dialated 3 cm. So is doing well though, bubs is georgous. She is half asain and just stunning. I won't get to visit today or tomorrow, but going to take my grandparents in on Friday. Want to give her today with less visitors as I am sure she is buggered.
Meg - congrats!!! Hope your sister is doing well after her c-sect. I'm sure she will appreciate having a little time with less visitors. I'm going to become an auntie again in Jan!
Shell - we're having crummy nights here too. Isabel has been waking every 20mins tonight since 7pm... no idea why. Might need to go give her a feed soon...
We're going to start trying as soon as AF comes again! I'm coming up to 35 days... guessing my cycle isn't quite back to normal, I've done a test so not UTD.
Hehe AJP we always wanted them close together and I figure I haven't slept more than 4hrs in six months so might as well push through and get it all out of the way now
Det I hope you are ok - it sounds very upsetting with what you are going through with your parents.
Meg - congrats on becoming an auntie again!
OP - good luck with the TTC! I have no sign of AF even remotely close so I hope it settles down into a regular cycle for you soon. Having said that, we concieved Miss J first try on the second cycle off the pill and I was on 6 week cycles!
Pinny - I hope Lewis is better today
Shell - did you have a better night last night?
AFM - Miss J had her 6month check and needles today and she was such a good girl. She barely cried at all. She is now 65cm long and 6.8kg so 50th for length and 30th for weight. She is starting to grow the same way DD1 did. Speaking of which DD1 is now 75th for height!! I thought she looked tall all of a sudden!
Just thought I would do a quick pop in to let you girls know how I am going.
Not great! But have improved a little. WE are down to between 2 and 3 feeds a night but I want it down to 1. We are waking up many times and this morning after waking at 4am and trying to settle until 5:30am, I gave up and took her to the lounge so she could play under her playmat and I could lie on the couch!
Also been into work today as I have had an absolute **** fight with them this week with them wanting me to come into work while I am on my mat leave. I wouldnt be getting paid for it either. I refuse to let them take advantage esp when I only have 10days left until I go back to work. (sigh).
On a good note I lost 900g at WW today.
Will ahve to go back and read all your posts again but thinking of you all.
ETA- OP have fun TTC #2 !!! How exciting. I would like to have a 2yr age gap between kids but we just cant afford to have another one yet.
Pinny - I hope L is feeling better!
Nai - I meant to say a while back congrats on your weight loss! That's great. And well done to J coping so well with her shots. I hope J is that good for me next week.
Meg - Congrats on becoming an Aunty! What have they called her? $99 for L&E sounds like good value given the prep time you save too.
OP - GL TTC! There is a mum in my group IRL who is pg again - due on her daughters birthday! Small gaps work well and it does condense the years of nappies and night wakings.
Ali - Good on you for staying firm. They have no right to have you at work while you're on leave. Only 10 days to go Well done on the weight loss too!
AFM - After two awesome days of happy + sleeping boy back, he has returned to the grumble bum who won't sleep. Have just bought the No Cry Sleep Solution - not so much for overnight but for day naps and the evenings. He just does these 40 min naps from now until somewhere between 9-11pm when he'll sleep for longer. Today he's hardly slept at all. Got PIL coming up tomorrow for the weekend so I hope he'll cheer up for them. Got heaps of housework done today - it's amazing what a bit of external motivation can do
Just have to add that Miss E has been a grumble bum for the past 5 days!
Ali - I wouldn't go in unless they paid you. It sounds like youare doing it tough, but hang in there.
kaz- Yeah I thought it was alright value for money. Get my first order tomorrow......
The new bub is named Madison. I get to meet her tomorrow. My sis has been very tired, so have giver her a couple of days, as she doesn't need heaps of visitors all at once.
Ok - gotta go get dinner ready. just me and E tonight. J has gone to my mums for a few days, which is a good thing as he has been a bit of a pain lately. I am also a bit down about something that happened with him. (you can read up on it in the platinum section if you are interested.)
Thanks girls, will keep you posted Mind you it still might take a while... DH is just excited to be getting some good BD action!
Nai - good work on your tough little trooper with her needles. I must check when DD is scheduled for her 6mth jabs...
Ali - stick with it! Sounds like it might be getting better! We are having frequent wake ups too... but I just lie in bed and ignore her now, she seems to be able to self-settle, until about 5am anyway. Well done on the weight loss and stay firm with work. Enjoy the next 10 days hun
Kaz - there's someone in my MG who is pg too, also due around the same time as her DS's bday. Her's was a bit of an oops but they are thrilled now that they have gotten over the shock! I agree, condense it all down!
Know what you mean about external motivation - the only reason our house gets a bit of a tidy every Tuesday is because we have people coming round every Tuesday night... they so wouldn't care if it wasn't neat but I do so I do a bit of cleaning! Sometimes a token effort tho
GL with the PIL this weekend and I hope they cheer up little grumble bum J!
OP - LOL at DH being happy about getting some action. I hope #2 is on the way soon.
Ali - Can you invoice them for the hours that you actually go in to work before your leave ends? If I do anything for work I invoice them on an hourly basis or part therof.
Kaz - enjoy the PIL coming to visit. Thanks on the weightloss - I am 8kg down now and feel SOOO much better!
Meg - I hope you get a nice break with J at the grandparents. I can't wait until my mum is back from holidays so DD1 can go to stay with them for a bit.
Ali- Glad to hear sleepi is getting slightly better, stick to your guns about work.
Meg- Hope everything is ok, will try to find your post in plantinum
OP- Good luck with TTC, a friend of mine has 14 month age gap and they are now nearly 3 & nearly 4 and are soooo close, she felt the same wanted to get the hard work out of the way in one go...
Meg- Wed night big tv night, project runway, secret life american teenager and united states tara! yay to your sister, as long as bubs comes out healthy that the important thing.
OP- when I was BFing Ash and Af returned it was irregular for awhile, wasn't til I was down to like 2 feeds it was back to normal.
Af arrived for me last week, yuck, don't need it now that I'm not having anymore kids! But the one good thing is before kids I used to get the worst period pain, like curled up in bed pain even after lots drugs, after having Ash, nothing, on rare occasion may need panadol thats it.
Ali- wow 10 days! I thought you'd be going back at start term 3, I can see why you need to get her sleeping better at night now. You don't want to go back on little sleep, how many days are you gonna be doing? What days?
I went out last night to see my nephew in his school musical and Em really played up for Df, wouldn't eat her solids, cried from 8.30 til 10, he rang me all stressed asking what he can do, I say just cuddle her not much if shes just had a bottle and is clean.
She is starting to get really cranky now, its funny she hates not being in the action and gets grumpy about it and chucks a hissy when I don't let her have my mobile phone or tv remotes! God help me when she is moving and can get into everything.
About time I tell you!!! She ended up doing 7pm until 7:30. Woke once at 3:30am but I quickly put the dummy in and she was zonked out. No patting, feeding or rocking!
I woke up so engorged this morning but because my pump is out of action at the moment I just got her to feed of both sides.
Last night when she woke from her last nap at 5:40pm I put her in her high chair and fed he solids. She ate heaps and it actually stayed in her mouth and went down not spat out. She had pumpkin, sweetcorn & apple puree and then munched on a banana.
I then bathed her and wrapped her and she had a bf (both sides).
She's now happy in her bouncer watching Bear in the Blue House.
