Ikwym Meg, its so awful when they're unwell, just try keep temp down overnight and at least tomor you have the GP booked. You have kids nurofen? I find in times like this it settles them better takes away the pain and helps the temp also.
I hope you both at least get some sleep.

hey girls
still here!
whoot to Ali- well done hun- dont you feel soo much better when you have had some sleep! makes a BIG difference
meggie- Boof had his vac on wednesday - he went fine but man he has two lumps where the injections went it- didnt last time- they arnt bothering him and an upside is that he slept really awesome that nite!!! 7.30pm-7.30am one feed and one settle!!! So lets hope it happens for you as well!! Have you tried J with the Brauer ear drops?? They work well and take the edge off until you go to the docs!!
Kaz- i got you on FB as well now!!! Cant wait to see photos of MR J!! and Heaven I think i found you as well!! it will be cool to put faces to people that i only know through words. I still get spun out about knowing OP IRL now- the OP IRL and the OP on here i forget are the same person lol!!
AJP- you go girl having a Vino- i went out for margies last nite with my besties- a drink everynow and then makes a big difference to the sanity!
Shell-that woman needs a good slap- hugs hun!
Hey Nai, Pinny Mum and OP!
AFM- nothing much- Boof is sleeping so much better here- sleeping and settling really well. Eating 3 solid meals a day and hence dropping a couple of day feeds at the moment- so my hormones are going crazy and got another migrane grr!!!
Things are really messy with my mum and dad- its a bit of a downer- but i just am going to have to ride it out! Thank goodness twins have been ACE and DH is getting better with his glandular fever- he has actually been up for a couple of days without a day sleep - whoot! They are testing me for it as well, but it doesnt matter anyway cause even if i do, i wont be able to rest lol
life is busy but good !

Kaz - I had to laugh at the MIL and poo story. Hilarious! I have added you on FB too. I have all my friends on there  but I don't mention any forums at all as some of my family are on there and I don't want them finding me on here!!
Meg - I hope J is better today. Did you get any sleep?
Ali - Glad to hear your nights are getting better.
Det - good to hear your DH is on the mend
Hi everone elese - sorry have wriggly baby on lap. Can't type.
-
Kaz- I think I added you Mr Potato head, pmsl
meg- Oh no, How is J this morning??
Ali- Thankyou. I was just looking at my preg pics the other day, omg I was bloody huge!!! lol. And the last one was still 2 wks before she was born!! And your DP and my DH have the same name! lol (I assume that's his name in your status).
det- Yep! You found me! Jeez, I hope you don't get GF aswell! Sorry to hear about your parents.
-
Hi guys,
I've just skimmed through posts (6 or so pages to catch up on!)
Hope you're all well.
OP good luck TTC!
Ali, that's so great that Ash slept through! Hope it continues.
Heaven, sounds like Grace is loving her solids. How are you guys going with BLS? It sounds very convenient I must add! How do you prevent the choking?
Sorry that's all I can recall for now!
Hi to everyone else.
I was thinking about enrolling L into swimming lessons at a school nearby until my mum said all you really do is blow bubbles, pour water on their heads, dunking, etc and I could do it myself at the local pool without the cost. What do you guys think? How do I know when he's ready to advance and learn to "swim"?! lol
L has tried a bit of broccoli in his mesh feeder, but hasn't really had a proper solids feed yet. Probably start this week, although not sure which approach to take. BLS sounds very promising. He'll be 6 months on Tuesday!
What else is news...umm still no teeth, no rolling, no sitting up, no sleeping through (in fact no sleeping longer than 1.5hours day or night)...so this is what it is like to have a permenant newborn!
Anyway, I'll try pop in more often!

Was up pretty much hourly with J last night. Have asked D to take tonight off work and he said no............... :crying:
-
oh no meg  whens the dr's appt???
holly sophie started at 6 months doing lessons and to be honest yes they do all that stuff but the
first few years are also about survival! sophie could fall into a pool and be able to save herself!
hope leon goes well with solids!!
det glad DH is on the mend!!
will have to go back and read the other page...
AFM we went to the gallery this morning, bright and early..got there at 8am for a work function for DH to see the salvador Dali exhibition!!
-
Shell- How are all your teams doing this weekend? I am all sported out for the weekend, Last night we flicked between the cricket and the Bledisoe cup! Too much sport for myh liking!
Det- I am sorry to hear about your parents. Good to hear DH is on the mend. I had GF in my first year of uni and didnt even know it until a blood test result came up that I had it! I just thought I was tired and had a bad flu! My mum also had it without knowing it was GF. This was all thanks to my sister getting it.
Nai- :hello: hope your wriggly little baby slept well again last night
Heaven- How funny. I saw your status and had to take a second look when I saw your DH's name. Quite funny as its not an overly common name for guys of their age.
Holly- 1.5hours is really rough  How is his medication going? DO you think its helping at all. Cant belive how much h is growing. He is so adorable!
Megie- How did your doctors appointment go? Is there anyone else to help you if DH has to work? Thinking of you and J. Hope E is being a good girl through all this.
Jols- That is great that swimming lessons have given her that important tool. We will probably start in Summer. We are doing Gymberoo at the moment so that is costly enough but Ash loves it.
AFM- Well I had 2 HOURS sleep last night!!! Ashlyn slept fine. WEnt down at 7pm but I stayed up and then as awatching 2 really scary movies (why I dont know when I hate scary movies) but they were on free tv. It was The Ring and Cabin Fever. Anyway I was so freaked out that I couldnt get to sleep after they finished as I was on edge and then at 4:15 just as I started drifting off Ash woke up and I fed her but she woke again at 6:30 wanting to play! So I have been up since then! Couldnt even have a nap this morning as MIL came over. Maybe an arvo nap will be on the cards!

Meg - Huge  hun. You must be exhausted today. How did the Dr go? I would be teary too. Jacob doesn't even have to be sick, just whingey and not sleeping and I fall apart  You're doing great darl xx
AJP - I LOVE salvadore Dali! That must have been heaps good!
Holly - 1.5 hours isn't very long at all. If it makes you feel better, Jacob isn't rolling or sitting and has no teeth either  We're going to do swimming lessons but its with my mums group so I'm going for the social side as well. Not sure when we're starting but I'll let you know what it involves.
Ali - I'm not sleeping well either! So frustrating! I've been awake for hours the past couple of nights after Jacob has gone back down. Thinking of weird things. My lovely but batty next door neighbour made a comment to DP the other day about how she'd look after Jacob anytime "but you don't want me to" WTF? We haven't left him with anyone else yet, even family, why would we leave him with her? She's so nutso sometimes! But now I'm worried she'll keep pushing the issue and force me to say no and hurt her feelings. She's recently widowed but she has her own grandkids she sees nearly every day after school!! Your DP must be devastated about the cricket!
Det - So glad you got some long sleeps finally and that your DH is on the mend. It is good to put faces to names.
Shell - Hi!! Hope you're having a good weekend.
AFM - Well I feel like a nigel no friends after seeing all your profiles girls  How do you get so many friends? Great to see the pics of you and your bubbas though.
Having a slow sunday here. Jacob not sleeping well - he was awake for over 4 hours last night :o and then got so overtired it took him ages to go to sleep and then he fed every 2-3 hours. Not sure what's going on.
-
Meg- Grr at your DH, I know what thats like sometimes Df is good and takes day off and other times not good. Can your mum come over? Thats what I've had to do in the past. Tell your DH you are more important than work!
Ali- Lol, I stay away from scary movies and any movies that might upset me at bedtime! My saints playing today so will be watching soon on foxtel. Can't stand cricket, Df been watching the Ashes, I kept saying I was going for England to s..t him, lol.
AJP- I wouldn't mind seeing that exhibition, was going to go last school holidays while DF was around so I could be child free but never happened.
Holly- How is school going? No sleeping thru here either. We never enrolled Ash into swimming cause we said we could do all that ourselves but then DF who was meant to do all this rarely did. So if you know you'll definately go yourself do it otherwise try out lessons, I'm booking DF and Ash in for next term now as she is nearly 3 and he's hardly taken her in that time.
I been reading my wonder weeks book and yep Emily is doing all the things mentioned. Apparantly can last from as little as 1 week to up to 5 weeks, so hopefully soon will settle. I have noticed a huge developmental change in her lately, just how much more aware she is of everyone and everything around her, knows what she wants.
-
Kaz- ok i found you mr potato head and sent friend request. Alot my friends are ppl off here, ppl from primary and high school or ppl I grew up in same area as, as well and friends now.
-
Shell - Was thinking of you earlier. DH was thrilled this arvo. Jumping up and down and cheering at the TV........
James still really sick. He is now afraid of the baby monitor noise, the water gurguling out of the bath, and all insects. This all started in the last few days. He cried himself to sleep on the couch this arvo. On the upside, after DH witnessed it, he took the night off work, as he has realised that he is seriously ill. The GP says it is viral. has swollen glands etcc, so no meds as they wouldn't help anyway. She also said to expect E to get it too! *sigh*
Oh dear Kaz - Hope he does better tonight.
Holly - checked out your piccies on FB. They are great.
Det - hope it wokrs out with the parents.
hmmm... what else. My comp is on a new page, so I can't remenber what eveyone else said....
-
Wow lots to catch up on!!!
I have not added anyone from BB on to my Facebook., was keeping is seperate due to all the same issues others have said, don't want family knowing I'm on here either!!
I would love to share my family pics with you guys, and you then can put a face to the name!!
Holly- Good to hear from you sorry your little man is not sleeping that well, Is he still on meds???
AJP- What an early start, would have been great, I have not been to the gallery in years, used to go all the time...
Det- Sorry to hear about your parents!! Fingers crossed you dont get GF
Kaz- Swimming lessons sound like fun....are you going to do it formally
:redface:Sorry I need to read back, tired, think I need an early night...
L is on the move, rolls every where does 360 to see what going on and can move his body to get things!!! I'm sooooo not ready for him to be on the move!!! Where's my baby who lies on the mat exaclty where I left him???? It's so unsafe once they are on the move, espically with DD small toys!!! HELP....This has all really happend in the last week..
-
Meg-- Gosh J must be really sick, sorry I was thinking of you in my last post!! Just got distratced!! I hope he picks up soon.. Glad DH stayed home!! At least you have the moral support.. so hard when they are sick like that!!!
-

ali 2 hours sleep isnt good  hoping for some more zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's tonight for you!
kaz we started off swimming with mothergroup right up until late last year when we all changed for bub #2 reasons, now were all in seperate classes/different days!
ARM i didnt give millie any solids today due to her waking twice a night since we started, going to try pumpkin tomorrow though
-
Meg - I hope J is feeling better soon and E doesn't get it! Good to hear your DH is taking the night off too.
Hi to everyone - sorry for lack of personals - had a very busy day as we are going to VCAT on Tuesday to fight a development at the end of our street. We also did a photoshoot with the girls today - some pics on FB. Miss J isn't wanting to go to sleep tonight *sigh*
-
gorgeous pics nai!! i took some pics of millie today too!
pinny i know what you look like
-
Meg- that sucks, just keep up whatever drugs you can give him. Hope E doesn't get it either. If its a viral thing hopefully won't last too long. I'm glad your DH has taken night off, you really don't want to be on your own again with him like that. I am so devastated at footy! Can't believe it, if we don't even make it to grand final after all this I will cry my eyes out.
Pinny- Thats what I'm worried about, all DD1 little toys laying around I'm happy to wait for her to move gonna mean trouble. I'm thinking when she is moving I might pull out the play pen for times when I'm cleaning or cooking or something. I've already started telling DD1 how E can't play with really little toys.
Nai- The pics are gorgeous. Does J have blue eyes? Just looking from the pics cause G has such dark eyes.
DF been his usually waste of space on a hangover sunday, had friends over to watch footy so that was nice tho we all are very upset by our loss again. Emily still not sleeping much in the day and every night I'm hoping we have a better night than the last.
But today she has been rolling heaps. She keeps rolling onto her tummy and trying really hard to move so hoping this development means her sleep will improve.
