I was wondering who this new name was. Lol.

Emily sqeezes crap outta finger food too but loves rusks and other day she sucked on a water cracker loved that too.

Nai- wow she is going great guns. I'm thinkibg today to start lunch, we've been on the 2 meals for awhile now.

AJP- I used to buy those exact apples with Ash and do same thing, sooo much cheaper and so easy to do. Glad to hear Sophie is better.

I feel like crap, Emily is suddenly waking more at night expecting bottles so its a battle to get her back to sleep, she already has one bottle at night plus another 4 in the day plus 2 solids meals so she doesn't need another, yet 2 weeks ago I thought she was ready to give up night feeds! I keep wondering if she'll sleep thru before Ash did (which was 13 months)

Hello all!! Well DH had a week off work and we went away for a few days and then I wasn't really on when he was home. Just spending time with my little family before he went back to work. He's back today though so here I am! And shock horror I have time to type bc DD is asleep and let me put her down in her cot!! wtf. She's been in there for 31mins so far, lol.

    Hope you are all good!!
DD is getting very clever lately! Playing peek-a-boo with things. She will pull her bib up over her head and then quickly pull it down and laugh at you. She's also saying mamama and dadada a lot but not sure if it's really mum and dad yet. How do you know when it's their first word? Hmm...

Love to you all and your bubbas!! xx

    Hi all,
I can't remember when I posted last, and wha was going on, but in short this is what has been happening -

J & E got diagnosed with Scarlet Fever and are still on AB's
DH ended up in hospital with Pancreatitis.
FIL ended up in hossy with an infected foot (He is a diabetic)
My sis's csect scar has got infected and she has gone back to hosy.
MIL is at the Eye and Ear hossy today as she has damaged her eye. She is quite sick.

So sort of trying to look after everyone a little.

E HATES solids. Some days she might eat a little, but most day not at all. she fed herself a bean last night (yes only 1 bean) and a bit of banana. But that is about the most I get out of her in a day. J was so different. He was having 3 full meals by now!

Hmm - What else? E sits up on her own, rolls tummy to back, but still not the other way. She does't have a bar of tummy time, so I don't expect she will be crawling any time soon.

She also now HATES the bottle, meaning difficult to leave her for more than a few hours.

Oh - and thanks girls who signed on to my Farmville!

Meg - Sounds like you've had a rough trot with everyone being so sick around you darl. You can only do what you can. Look after yourself too in all of that goings on!
AJP - New wheels!! Cool! I saw some of what J ate again yesterday too. It was fascinating but I'm sure I'll get over it
Shell - J has been waking HEAPS the past week or so overnight too. Sometimes I just feed him (2 hourly ) and other times I try resettle. Last night he was awake from 12am to 1:30am and I refused to feed him cause he'd been feeding 2 hourly since 3pm and had already had 9 feeds in that 24hour period So over it. Want the one feed a night routine back now please!!
Malyna - whoohoo sexy new name chicky! any reason? How is A going? How is your DH? Is he back from Adelaide yet? How did it all go?
Nai - J went through the pinching phase. Hurt like hell. Now I'm getting punched (He also gives himself a good walloping too though )
Heaven - Yay for G sleeping in her cot!!
Ali - How are you going back at work now a few weeks in? Its great that A is loving her food!
Pinny - Hope you get some decent blocks of sleep soon chicky!

Sorry - can't remember what else. Hello to everyone and their bubbas!! Was going to take J to a new playgroup today but he took ages to go down for his morning sleep and I wasn't organised and then my sister called and then he slept through the start time so I gave up. Maybe next week. I ran some errands up main street instead a bit later on when he woke. I'm going to post some photos of him attacking food on fb soon.

Meg - I hope you can get through this tough time. It sounds like you are really holding the fort for your entire extended family! Maybe you can get some time away once everyone is better

Malyna/Tarkine - love the new name however, I probably will call you by the old name for a while until my brain processes the information It takes a lot longer these days!

Shell - maybe she's having a growth spurt needing all the bottles

Jols - what sort of stroller did you buy? I put Miss J in our Quicksmart yesterday when I had to run from the car to the shop and it was too far to carry her. I wasn't sure if she would be ready for it but she loved it.

Heaven - yay on the cot sleeping!

Kaz - babies are like that - if you want to go out they sleep through it!

AFM - I was right about the teeth! Miss J's top left tooth has made the white blister line on her gum today so I think that it will start coming through tomorrow. The right one looks not far behind. Soon she will have 4 teeth!!!

Well last night she still woke the same times as usual except instead crying she decided to do cot gymnastic, rolling round poking her head up against the bars, all I kept hearing was grunting and groaning! Was sorta funny but not so much at 4am!

Nai- Wow, we're still waiting on toothy #1, still can't feel anything coming either.

Kaz- that always happens when you have someting planned, hopefully next week you make it. It'll be nice if you find a great group.

Meg- God, when it rains it pours! I hope you are having some time for you. Try not stress bout E, she sounds exactly like how Ash was, everything you mention was the same, I just persevered, it is hard the whole not being able to get out but i used to try bottle every day, eventually she started taking maybe 20mls so that was a start and we worked from there, same with solids, one day she just took to it. And now she eats plenty of variety and willing to try new stuff, this from the girl who never ate and always had to have things mashed even over 1.

AJP- What stroller did you get? Atm I'm still sticking with my adventure buggy cause Ash still does use the toddler seat but it'll be nice when I can move on get a light stroller.

Heaven- I've been keeping up with your otehr thread, you'll get there, how were her day sleeps today?

I'm sick of being so tired and walking around with a fog in my brain, seriously I reakon thats the hardest part my brain not functioning, it does hurt to think I forget words even that I want to use. I keep burning pots cause I forget they're there, even when i set the timer to remind myself I'm usually busy so still forget!

    Hi ladies

Like Meggie I can't remember the last time I posted...I do get on to read when I can!
We've all been sick for about a week now...thought it might be allergies at first but we've all got it now so it must just bo a cold. How much snot can one little person make???? Far out!!! Have been using the baby fess which seems to help but Anika is miserable...has even been waking for a feed at about 10pm which she hasn't done for months...poor little thing. No temp so I guess it will just run it's course? Is there anything else I should be doing? And I'm feeling like I've got stuck with the solids...have tried...pumpkin, sweet pot, brocholi, carrot, apple, pear, bananna, rice cereal...and have kind of got stuck on those...she is grabbing at the spoon now and I'm thinking I should be giving her some fingerfood...what did you start with?

Sorry for all the questions...finally got online and got to make the most of it lol!

    Exxx

Will be back soon but to Meg

You have had to deal with so so much lately. It must be incredibly stressful and draining at the moment looking after everyone and you are only human and have a breaking point too.

I hope things get better. Are there any friends or family that can help out. You need some time away and by that, I not only mean away from the kids but away from housework, etc.

Big Wish I knew waht to say or do to help you.

Meg- I wish I knew how to help you, come in here and talk about it anytime, get it off your chest. Is he getting worse or much the same?
You've had such a hard time lately, could your mum come stay with you for a few days and help you out, take some of the load off you? How is his behaviour around other people?

Meg I'm another that wishes she knew how to help. Ventilate all you want. You sound like you need a break that's for sure

Ellie - Great to hear from you! She could have any of those foods she's already eating as finger foods, either raw or steamed for the veggies. Try other veggies and fruits, cheese sticks, bread sticks, strips of meat or toast.

    hey girls
    hugs meg!
You are having a rough trot lately. I wish i was closer to give you a break. Can i suggest that you go to visit your local GP yourself and see if you can get a referal for someone to help with some strategies . Maybe they can help identify trigger factors, etc and give some helpful hints! My DS can be 'difficult' as well- he is damm hard work- and having medical professionals to turn to has helped. We looked into diet factors- yep there was some triggers, as well as other strategies that have helped. We also have had him assessed over the years and have found some learning issues which also explain why he acts like he does. Keeping him busy makes a difference but overtiredness is a trigger as well. Its such a fine balance.

As for solids and Miss E- my twins took ages on solids as well esp DS. It took till they were 12 months to be eating what Boof has been eating since he was 6 months old - every baby is different so hang in there and keep persisting.

Who agrees that Meg needs to go and have an hour long indulgent massage all to herself!!!!!!

Kaz- those photos of J are soo cute- he looks like he is taking to solids really well!! Go J!!!
    Hugs everybody else!!!

All good here - boof still doesnt sleep through, no teeth, but eats like he has a mouthful- poor poss gets frustrated that he cant eat quicker as he has to suck the crap outta the food lol. Today he slept for a whole hour all day!! But he is happy enough - little champ
Off to swimming lessons for boof tommorow again- he loves them
    hugs everyone!!

hi girls - not sure how long I have, Alex is always quiet when I'm reading but when it come stime to post, he cracks up.

AJP - ohh the new stroller sounds great.
Meg - don't forget to look after your self.. sounds like your plate is full to overflowing... I have heard that boys will eat everything in sight and girls not so much... Although Alex is just banana crazy.

Kaz - Alex has done the same thing the last two days.. I just have loads of trouble getting out to things that start at 10 - his nap time!
Nai - thats cool with the username - I'lll probably still call myself the old one for ages.
shell - I hear you with the fog.

AFM - Adelaide went ok.. it was really sad.. His dad's sister is struggling at the moment, sick husband, tryign to sell a house, filling her days with sewing and writing... DH won't go back to the grave again....well not for awhile... Everything here is going quite well
gotta go baby heading towards keyboard.
