good evening ladies!
Moose & sterla - DH and i DTD. it was rather...odd! i was thinking about asking you ladies if you'd tired! it was *ok* for us...but i felt..*ahem* differant? as DH put it "your a vergin but...not!" in regards to not knowing what to expect!
Anithea - aww with the dragon pics, thats soo, soo cute!
AFM: easter was...interesting. saw my mum n dad friday. Daz had horrable, horrable wind. my mother got shirty with me becuase she didnt get a nurse :wall: but she also started a fight between DH and I about Daz getting swaddled and being 'too cold' when he had warm socks on she put on light cotton ones :OMG: i think she was also feel smug about the fact i gave darren formular (in an attempt to push the wind out the other end!) aaaaand she was just...blech all saterday, Ohh and when he needed to sleep she kept talking to him like "hello darre this is your nanna" in a really alert tone! havent talked to her since! saw the ILs sunday. which was nice. Darren was smiling at them lots and just getting to know them! today we had a 'fair well champ' bbq for DH's best friend whoes off to Japan for 10months. (or less) on a working visa. (in japan they dont give them out once your over 31...and you can only get a 12mth one at 30!) so we had him, his DP (whoes a good friend of mine) and friends of mine over. we where ment to have another friend of DH and his mate but sadly (and kinda scarely) his mate lets call him A, his XDP had their son for the weekend...he went to pick him up and he was really sick - long story short they're getting him drug tested becuase they think she was smoking drugs 'round the poor kid! but we had a good time. i had the most to drink i've had since november! i had 3 whole cans of Jim Beam and coke! (over the space of 8 hours mind you) which was an effort for me. i dont think it affected daz at all. (it may have even relaxed him some)
And tomorrow one of my high school teachers is comming over to see daz!
Hope you're all having a good moring by the time you read this!
ok girls...
baby_blip - argh dont parents get on your nerves sometimes!
thats awesome you got to relax and have a bit of a drink and enjoy yourself.
OMG that poor little kid.. i hope he is ok!
Antheia - that pic is soo cute! i got bella a bunny teddy!
jords - dont stress you will work out BB soon enough.. and become addidcted! am i right ladies? i cant wait to see little winter!
moose - we have DTD once and i hated it. i refuse to do it again. it didnt hurt at all, i just didnt like it! i learnt to do my exercises this time because with DS i didnt do them and was constantly having little 'accidents'.
sterla - thanks for your msg xx im with you on the whole cuddling thing! hope everything is going ok :)
AFM: bella is doing ok! she is up almost 2 pounds from her birth weight! (was 7lb 4oz - is now 10lb 2 oz) sleeping fantastic which is great im finally catching up on some (when im not on BB ;))
hope you all get some sleep tonight xx
Good morning Ladies,
How is everyone and their Bubs? I had the crappiest sleep last night so Im feeling a bit cranky today which is unlike me which makes it worse! Winter only woke up twice last night but wanted to suckle ALL night(and refuses the dummy, has to be my nipple) and then kept spitting it so I basically held by boob in position for most of the night, argh. Then as usual I greeted her after DP left for work and i got huge smiles, such a cheeky turd :)
Moose Im a dork! Winter was actually born on the 4th of feb 09,so I'll have to fix that :) I cant believe Sam has slept through! you lucky thing!!
DP and I kind of DTD about 2 weeks ago but I was so nervous and it really did hurt so it pretty much only lasted for 3 mins before I called it off... I thought if I got it out of the way Id be less apprehensive about the whole thing, but it kind of went the other way, I really dont want to go there... to make it worse DP's bro had a Bub 5 weeks after us and they DTD after only 3 weeks... as if I want to know?! I already felt bad about the whole thing! argh LOL sorry Im ranting here. Im with Sterla here, Id way rather cuddles( which I hardly get either co-sleeping!)
How good was being able to pig out when pregnant! I find now Im really not eating much during the day but at dinner i have (literally) four serves so Im a bit worried about putting on weight. Im back to prepreg weight but I think Im going up again!
Baby _blip- ARGH dont parents drive you crazy sometimes??! That sucks about your Mum, at least you did the right thing and saw family at easter now you can probably get away with not seeing them for a while ;) Good to hear the rest of your wkend was ok and you got to let your hair down a touch :)
Rainbow_Raver, Im already hooked on BB! its such a great website. Im only sad I didnt discover it when pregnant. How do I get pics on though??
Sorry, I had a few more things to say but sometimes my lap top poo's itself so wanted to post that quickly!
Thats great that Darren is almost rolling over Blip! And great that Bella has put on 2Pound Raver! How good is the age they are at now?? Its funny, when Winter was born everything she did just amazed me but I look at her now and she is so much more interactive its great. She discovered her hands on the weekend, and now insists on jamming them in her mouth at every opportunity! And now as soon as we put her on the change table she brings her feet up near her head, like she wants to help get the nappy under her :)
Cheeky devil has just awoken, no peace!
haha jords i know what you mean about discovering hands and feet!! its soo damn cute!
i dont think you can post photos until you have 50 posts!! so get to work woman! lol
do i need to fix up winters birthdate on our list?
Sweet that means i will hopefully be able to get pics up by tmrw...I dont know how to view our buddy list so if you could update it for me that would be awesome :) She was born on the 4th, thanks!
Hi girls.
Not a good day for us. My poor little ones are sick. Orson's first cold, wahhh! I feel so bad for him.
Orson is almsot rolling as well. They are such clever little things aren't they?
Thanks for all the responses ladies, it makes me feel really good to know that I am not alone in feeling this way. Poor DH got the raw end of the stick as I went "off" DTD quite early in pregnancy as well, but he has been very supportive and has never put pressure on me. I have read somewhere that breastfeeding has a tendency to dry things up down there, hence why it most likely feels quite raw and reminds us of our first experiences!!
Jords: LOL mummy brain eh? All good, the 4th is just as good a date and I know I am very lucky Sam has been sleeping so well this early. mind you the last couple nights, she's been waking up at 12:30am and 1am again so will give it a week and see what the sleeping pattern seems to be doing and if needs be I will re-introduce the dream feed. Sorry you had a crappy night sleep...make sure you have a nap today!
Blip: its so nice to see that Daz is well on his way to recovery, can't believe he weighs 4kg, Sammy is only JUST weighing this now!
Rainbow Raver: Still getting used to your new name!! And I agree, our bubs are so cute aren't they, I think DH and I have taken well over 3000 ( not exagerating either) piccies of Sam. I did do my exercises throughout pregnancy but obviously not enough, my abs are still quite sore as well when I am using them, which I am a bit surprised considering that I had a natural birth.
Got meeting #2 of mothers group tomorrow, last week was pretty cool, it was hilarious to watch Sammy eye the other babies!! Most of the mums seem quite nice but the first 4 weeks is more like group/info sessions with the EC nurse, so didn't get much of a chance to talk. We all shared our birth stories last week and that was pretty cool to see how different everyone's labour really was. Tomorrow they have a GP coming to talk about "when should you be worried" about your bub being sick, etc. Should be quite good. Anyone else been going to MG?
OKies, well better get off to have a shower as I am all sweaty from my walk ( you most likely did not need to know that!!lol)
Good to hear all our bubs are doing well!! YAY for us :)
Mxx
Antheia: sorry to hear lil Orson is not well :( Hope he feels better real soon.
How nice to hear from everyone :D.
Blip: Sorry to hear you had such a ruddy time with your mum over Easter, and that Daz had such awful wind. Family can be such a pain sometimes (or a lot of the time ). That's awful about the kid being drug-tested... I hope he's okay.
Rainbow_Raver: That's fantastic that Bella is gaining weight and sleeping well! Oliver is starting to get better and better with sleeping. More often than not he'll sleep 6-7 hours now, wake for a feed, and then sleep for a couple more hours. It's wonderful when those bubs sleep well - it makes such a difference to my sanity! I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't overly excited about DTD, though I hope I get back into the swing of things again soon.
Jords: Glad you're enjoying BB! It's always been good to me, and such a help with all those little questions and concerns that pop up during pregnancy and with a young baby. I felt like I was reading my own post when you mentioned how Winter has discovered her hand! Oliver has also just discovered his hand and spends loads of time with it stuffed in his mouth sucking and licking away! He also likes to bring his legs up when we're changing him! It's nice to find out your baby is doing the same thing as other babies the same age! :) Can't wait to see some photos when you get a chance.
AFM: Oliver is doing well, smiling heaps and heaps! I managed to get heaps of photos of him smiling this morning, and I've uploaded one:
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...6&ppuser=16369
We're also heading off to our antenatal class reunion today! It'll be fun to see everyone's babies and share stories!
I hope everyone is well :D
Oops, a few posts added while I was taking my time writing...
Antheia: Oh no! I'm so sorry they're sick :(. Poor little Orson. I hope he feels better soon. Wow, how clever that he is almost rolling over!
Moose: Yup, definitely not alone with the DTD thing. Glad that your MG is going so well! How cute with Sammy eyeing off the other babies! I have been meaning to ring up about the MG in my area. I got given a number ages ago, but completely forgot about it. I hope I'm not too late if I ring up now.
Rainbow - Wow thats a good effort for bella! two pounds! she sounds like she's growing!
jords - the BB is VERY addicive - when its down on FB they have a members page - its a good way of checkin' out if its down or if its just your computer! as for winter wanting to suckle all night darren was like that when he was BF'd trying to make more milk come in maybe she's headed for a growth spert?
Anthiea - aww poor orson! i hope the little ones get better soon!
Moose: really with bfing 'drys you up'? i'm strange i've gone the other way! i think i'm in your boat with the photos though! and i think darren would be about 5.3kg now i'm guessumeing?
stelra - yeah DTD is a little :s atm. it was nice last night but it'll be a few more days before i even *think* about it. i think having a baby alseep you're almost *waiting* for them to wake up so you're a little...distracted? but im all for cuddles.
AFM : my high school teacher came over. she was fantasic. she thought dazman was very cute! she said i was doing a good job with him and was just very impressed with him! i'm hopefully going to see her soon and another girl from high school! she's the Health and Human Devlopment teacher at my old highschool so when they get to babys/devleopment im going to take Darren in and show him off! hehe. plus take in all daz's u/s photos and what not. (maybe even my belly pics!). Ohh daz found his hands last week and this week it was his feet. he pulls them up while we're changeing him. but i found this can be a hazzard...lets just say i was changeing him before and his legs went up and something other then piddle came out! lucky for me i hadnt taken the nappy off fully! haha i better go do the dishes while darrens asleep! hope you're all having a good day!
AAAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!! My lap top just ate my reply!!!!:wall: I will take a chill pill and come back in a bit.
Hope everyone is having a good day :)
just a quick one till later - you can all still call me laura if thats easier!!
im still getting used to my name too... lol
Jords: I always copy my reply just in case it does that! Hope your chill pill worked :P
'ey ladies!
daz had hid needles today...plus the drops for gastro. he was so brave! even when i took off that cotton wool band-aid thingy! we then went off to MG, i was the youngest, with one of the oldest bubs! ha. but one of the mums in my group i knew! oddly enough her little man was in SCN with daz. which was cool. we also talked about nappys and had foot prints made up too! (as in stamp type ones!)
now i better go cook tea!
I wasnt going to vaccinate Orson. But after this whole whooping cough epedemic i decided to. He got them yesterday right on 2mths. Poor thing cried so muchand had this massive look of hurt on his face :(
Blip, im also going to get Orson's footprint stamped and im going to get it as a tattoo and then have the kids names around it in a circle (when im finished having kids that is!) Just so i can remember how small they used to be. Im also getting hand and foot sculpures done as i have done with the other 2.
