Yvette- Great to hear from you and of course we dont mind you coming back!. Ive actually been thinking of you and Lauren this week wondering how you girls were, far out youve been having a rough trot :( I cant imagine how hard it must have been to look after Lauren whilst having gastro. It sounds like even though its been rough that Lauren is going great with her development, crawling everywhere is great! And she is so gorgeous in your ticker, I bet even cuter IRL.
Sterla- I know what you mean about feeling flat, I find I get that way when Ive stayed home all week and not been anywhere or seen anyone... As for the sleep deprivation...argh! When will it end? Winter is much better than she used to be definately but I just want unbroken sleep! And NO MORE nappies! God help me if I get any more, DP will kill me lol

AFM- Well.... Winters cheeks were red about an hour ago, so I looked in her mouth and you girls wont believe it... a third top tooth and a 4th about to cut! That will be 3 in a week! She is a tooth monster! More to say gotta run be back tonight :)

AFM: all up thee HPT later and 3 faint :bfp: 's later, DH is telling me "nope too faint to tell, so it could be wrong" grrr stupid male! a line is aline!!! but tomorrow we'll be able to see better hopefully and i'll call the docs to get an appt for a blood test to conferm (ohh hes ganna lurve me isnt he...he along with my MCHN told me "wait two years" hmmph.)
other then that taxes will be done tonight so some $$ will be comming my way (hopefully) next week = resineing from my job so more $$ woot! ehehe

Oh Dansta Ive got butterflies in my tummy for you! Im so nervous/excited!
I know, three teeth in a week is gnarly. Poor Bub.
So I had other stuff to say and now I cant really remember. Oh yeah... Winter is back to feeding to sleep full time *sigh* I gave up completely last week. Its just been on-going as you girls know to try and get her to self settle I just am at a loss, she is such a boob junkie... And with the patting her bot thing, most of the time it would work but when it wouldnt it got SO frustrating. And she is so active now she would arch her back which makes it imposible to hold her.
With feeding her to sleep it is kind of frustrating in a different sense, I mean I love it because BFing is my fav thing ever but it sucks because getting her to sleep is my responsibility full time, DP cant help out or anything so that is a bit tiresome. It is good though her going to sleep peacefully with no crying whatsoever... I just wonder how long I can do it for. I just wish I could place her down awake, give her a kiss goodnight and her go to sleep like that(without screaming when I leave the room of course).
How do you girls put your Bubs down at night? Everyone I talk to is different.
Also moved her room around on friday for something different. Instead of cleaning the kitchen, bathroom etc See girls I have my priorities in the right order ;)

Dansta: I am so excited for you! Especially after you talking for so long about wanting another bub! Pfft to your DH - a line is a line - and 3 lines - well, there's really not much arguing with that! I can't believe you're UTD! So happy for you! :D :dance:
Peach: Don't worry about feeding to sleep :hug:. Honestly, just do whatever is the least stressful for everyone involved. I go between feeding to sleep and rocking to sleep with Oliver. At the moment I rock him to sleep during the day and feed him to sleep at night... and if he's having trouble getting off to sleep with me rocking, well then I fall back on feeding to sleep. I'm such a sook, I couldn't handle letting Oliver cry himself to sleep :(. I'm the same as you though - I'm the only one who can get Oliver off to sleep - but it's always been that way for us, so I'm used to it.
As for sleep problems in the future? Well, I figure I'll deal with them when and if I need to.
AFM: So glad Bathurst is over! DH and one of his mates sat on the couch all day - Oliver and I were very bored!
peach: i feed DJ (although its a bottle) to sleep. we did the whole pat to sleep in hospital and after watching him cry for half an hour i knew i couldnt do it at home. DJ wont sleep unless im the one whoes feeding him, he can self settle, when he wants to. IE on the floor in his play pen or i can put him down awake (sometimes i have had to do it - EG thursday is hailed and i needed to move DH's tools out of the weather) but i choose not to, why? one day Dj will be telling me "no mummy i put myself to bed" so i wont get the long cuddles. and im sure i'll be doing it with both DJ and this bubba (ohh dear, i need a name for the eventual bump!) becuase im overly soft and a sucker for cuddles. winter will do it in her own time. i have found though that giving DJ oats (i buy them atm, untill i can get them right :P ) before bed helps him sleep, i think because he may feel fuller? maybe give it a shot. i hope winter settles down for you..
Ohh and could it be seperation anxitey? maybe try playing heaps of peekaboo with her and see if she can understand that you've gone but you'll be back??
OHMYGOD I just got her to sleep after half an hour and was half way through the last post and Winter woke up SCREAMING like Ive never heard her. DP was asleep on the loungeroom floor(hungover) he snapped awake, I threw the laptop and we ran in, far out I had flashes of her on the floor(I left the side down) she was in her cot though... my heart is still racing. Ive given her nurofen for her teeth and she is awake again now with DP in there... I hope it kicks in and tonight isnt rough :(
Peach: :hug: Don't those sudden screams/cries make your heart jump! I hope Winter settles for you.
Thanks Sterla. She is now playing in the loungeroom with DP :rolleyes: He pats for 2 mins... then I hear giggles... then they both walk out smiling together all squinty from the bright light. SO bad!
Hi ladies,wow I have sooo much to catch up on,well i'll start with me,had a good weekend,pretty quiet but i did do more shopping.Summers been sooo good and having lond day sleeps yah so ive got some sanity back then yesterday she was feral and just sooo not herself and then suddenly this morning..wait for it.. i felt a sharp thing bootom left and its a toothy,not fully threw yet its just cutting threw i think but i can see it just but feel it mega,how long till it comes threw fully you reckon?finally!!Shes been so good considering only one day out of sorts but saying that i wander how she'll go tonight,shes gonedown ok so far:pray:
Peach-Oh peachy hope you have a good night,I hate those sudden screams Summers done them too.I feed Summer to sleep too,i feel the same as sterla,if theres issues in the future i'lll deal with them then,i just need to get threw now.She pretty much has bottle everytime she goes asleep except some nights if she real tired she just goes to sleep in cot,very rare though.so i just make a bottle and either hold her and feed her till shes asleep then put her in cot or give her bottle in cot but i stand there till she asleep.I not sure ita bad thing,she always sleeps fine and doesnt wake in the night.
Sterla-Oh i hear ya about bathurst boring!!Dh and friend did the same!!Summer slept nearly 3 hours too so i was like what to do???hah.I get exactly the same if i havent been out,i had the best ever week last week was out nearly everyday,funny thing Summer seems happier out too,like i dont usually go out all day just for morning or arv but bet ya i feel lowsy this week coz ive got nothing on this week!

PJ: aww poor summer and he teethies, they do hurt (i have wisdom teeth coming though!) but once they're up and out they dont hurt bubba they hurt us! hehe. i hope you get some sleep :hug:
AFM: the BFP line is getting darker. i'll take another HPT tomorrow so i can have the full spectrum of "light, darker, darkest!" hehe DH is still in denial about it (i think) although i did "test" him when i said i was going to have a beam and coke can - he was like "umm if you are pregnat shouldnt you not be drinking yet" i didnt have it but it was nice to think i could be (even if i KNOW i am haha)
Took DJ to the MHCN today. he's 8.24Kg (18lb) and 69.8cm long! he's an "active little boy" according to my MCHN (duh, i know this :rolleyes: )
teehee i'm soo happy! i cant get over this. i'll hold off tell my MG though one girl has just said she was pregnat, but then again they're at my place...and if the MS starts (it started with DS around the 6 week mark...) i might have to tell them! hehe
i better be off and do some washing!

Yay Dansta!!! :dance: :happyforyou: Any idea how far along you are? I'm so excited for you! Just think, Daz will have a little brother or sister to play with :D! Sounds like Daz is doing well then. I have an MCHN appointment tomorrow morning, so I'm sure I'll report back on how Oliver is going.
PJ: That's so exciting that Summer has her first tooth! Sounds like she got that tooth without too many problems, which is great! That's good that Summer had some days where she was having long day sleeps - I hope she goes back to them again for you. Oliver is really good with his day sleeps - he usually has two - one longer one (at least 1.5 hours) and one short one (about 40 minutes). Some babies don't seem to need day sleeps though. A mum in my MG, her DS doesn't have any day sleeps, but sleeps a solid 12+ hours at night. I guess it's different for every baby.
Peach: Lol about your DP bringing Winter out and the giggles. My DH has never had to get Oliver off to sleep (dug myself into a bit of a hole there :rolleyes:), but if he did I can imagine him doing the same thing. I hope Winter had a good night for you.
AFM: Busy morning/day for me. I had to go pick my parents up from the airport this morning - they just spent the last 4 days in Melbourne for their 50th birthdays (Dad in September, Mum in November). They went to the Pompeii exhibit at the museum, and went out for tea heaps, and met up with old friends - I think they had fun. Oliver was very busy watching everything and everyone at the airport, but was very tired, as we were there about the time he'd usually be napping. Of course their flight was delayed :rolleyes:, and Oliver was getting more and more tired. Then when the flight arrived and all the people came in, some people were very loud and excited to see one another, and their screams scared Oliver and he started crying - poor bub. He's fast asleep now though, an hour so far... hopefully he'll wake up just before my MG this afternoon, nice and refreshed.

Well, had MCHN appointment this morning, and Oliver is doing pretty well. He's now 8.24kg and about 70cm long - so pretty well exactly the same as Daz! :p He's dropping a bit on the growth charts though, so my MCHN wants me to up the solids even more. Managed to avoid her asking about how he was sleeping, thank goodness - cause I think I would have just ended up feeling crappy about it. We also finally got our book pack thing, so now we have a new book (I Went Walking) and a DVD where they read books.
Not much planned here today... Hope you are all well.

Sterla-Whats the book pack you speak of? Glad to hear your MCHN appt went well and that Oli is going well. How many solid meals is he having a day now? That sucks about him getting restless at the airport, its hard when they need a nap and for one reason or another they cant have it... Hey guess what? I got more fluff today. 3 ittis and another 5 magic alls. Oh the ittis are DIVINE!!! Winters butt kind of hangs out the side a bit though lol and she is in large!
PJ-YAY for toothy pegs! Its hard to say how long it might be untill it cuts too, with Winter I wont even see a white mark and then she will have a tooth in a matter of hours, sometimes it will be a week or so before it cuts so it all depends...I bet Summer looks soooo cute! Did you find many bargains at the shops?
Raver- You know that is considered stalking right? ;) Great to hear from you!
So last night was another rough one, we decided to give Winter nurofen before her bath so it would be kicked in before bed time.... yeah right. She fell asleep at 10pm! Poor little Piglet. She has been in great spirits considering though... just when it comes to bed time she still hates it.
Cutest new thing she has been doing in the last week we call 'the fat catterpiller' she points with her index finger and inspects EVERYTHING with it... ie my nipples, nostrils, fluff on the carpet etc. it is so cute :)
Didnt go to rhyme time today as we were both sooo tired. Have I mentioned we are off to Melbourne this thursday? SO excited!

AFM: went to the GP today. he was all "you're looking good, somethings differant about you" and when i told him about the :bfp: he was like "ohh its too soon, your baby is still young" grrr. i told him that i was the one to had to have my body get poked, prodded, jabbed, kicked and punched then finaly push a baby out, i'll do it when i want! so i POAS and it came up as a BFP. so got given the paper work to do a blood test. went home and picked up DH and DS and told DH in the car about the 'offical' BFP, untill that point he was living in a river in Egypt...which i found out is in Africa :redface: had the blood test - gah i rember how much i hate them! and thats about it. Ohh and i broke one of our computer chairs too...so we bought a new one thats got like denty part on the seat thing and i told Dh "well thats so hot air from farts can escape quicker" heh...

Hi ladies!!so sorry but i need a poor me winge! I had a terrible day yesterday,well afternoon anyway summer was fine all morning then when i got home she was awful,she didnt sleep all day not even halh hour and all she did was cry all arvo,She went down twice but after not even ten minutes she would scream,i think it was her teeth because she had her hands in and she was looking at me with the face as if help me!!The panadol did nothing so i went to the chemist to try nurophen,then at 5pm she fell asleep on my lap untill the phone woke her!!(5 minutes later)then she was pretty miserable all evening and i finally after an hour got her to sleep at about quarter to 8 then she woke up an hour and a half later(just when i was about asleep)crying and crying,shes had a terrible runny nose and i dont know she was all upset so bad,she had such a snuffly nose i didnt know what to do,everytime she wanted to go to sleep she'd deep breath and then get all snufly and because she couldnt blow her nose she would cough and cry and oh the poor thing i just didnt know what to do!Mad i know but you know what i mean so eventually she went back to sleep but shes been upset all day again,not as bad,the tooth has cut threw but its gone down again this afternoon,and it seems she has a cold as her nose wont stop running but im not sure if thats connected to the tooth!Argh!!Sorry ladies,im just having a winge!
Sterla-Thats great about Oliver!!I havent been for a while but i have a feeling they will tell me to up the solids too,Summe doesnt have that much really,depends what moods shes in and shes always been in the 3rd then 25tth percentile.Dont mean to be a pain but is there any advice you can give what you did to help Oliver when he had a cold?I feel so useless especially at night time when they so tired but cant sleep.

Peach-Yes got a few bargains,some more tops which i needed.Ok so i can see the toothy has cut threw but it seems to have gone down a bit again??
PJ: :hug: You poor thing! That sounds awful! It does sound like she might have a bit of a cold. When Oliver had a cold, I used Fess Little Noses to help clear his nose out so he could breathe better - you can get it from the chemist. It has this saline spray you spray up their noses, then there's this other thing that you use to suck the snot out. It's probably easier if you have someone else there to help. That helped us heaps! I have heard of other people using humidifiers when their bubs have sniffly noses.
We used panadol when he had a fever, and had the TV on a lot to try and distract him as much as possible.

The book pack is by Let's Read, (website Let's Read) - a reading initiative thing for 0-5 years. It has a book (I Went Walking), a DVD where books are read, and a few fact sheets giving you hints and tips for reading to your baby. I think it's a nationwide thing - you get them through your MCHN.

Pj : aww :hug: poor summer and poor mumma! i think they get runny nose's when teethie pegs are on the way up :( as for it going down they can do that, come up and down (kind of like a contraction :rolleyes: ) like others have suggested fess (i think i got the adult one for daz :shrug: ) it helps - but they can sneeze alot, but in the end its worth it.

i've *tuch wood* feeling ok...i say that and i feel alittle...queasy! (same thing happend with DJ...i used to chunder up dinner ) but im getting excited about finding out the guessimate duedate for "bundy" eheh DH and i picked the name (rather he did) becuase just like DJ (AKA Blip) i wanted a 'bump' name. tomorrow afernoon i'll post (i have the GP at 3) so i'll be able to tell you all!

Dantsa and Sterla-Thanks heaps for the "cold"advice,poor little sausage,i got the fess stuff an shes had nurophen,panadol,i put baby vicks on her chest and feet(lol)and shes got a vaperiser in there my sister loaned me hers to try and shes gone to sleep already,not sure how long she'll last,she slept ok last night,went down without much bother and then only woke up bit before 3am so that was ok,she went back to sleep after a drink so that was good,I didnt go back to sleep after that,im such an awful sleeper i hate it,i rarely had a problem until she was born now im shocking,especially considering summer sleeps so well!:doh:

well the day wasnt so bad she wasnt too cranky considering shes got such a bad nose!!!Bit of a cough and not a temp but she does feel hot.Hope evryone else is ok,bit of a boring week for me,i feel guilty taking summer out,i know what it feels like when you feel lowsy but im going mad at home,been feeling bit low,or lonely or something,think i need to get out more!!!Hope everyone else is good!!

my GP is a twat, he didnt run the HCG levels, so i have to have a nother blood test. yay - not- so next week i find out how far along i am (i POAS there, it was faint but a BFP, he was like ohh it might be a false posative, dingbat he is!)

Oh Dansta!!You soo need a new doc!Funny,when i thought i was preggas i couldnt get into my doc so i went to another close by as my work friends were all dying for a definite confirmation and this guy told me i wasnt preggas!!I did 3 tests all were positive at home so he gets me to do another one,well i didnt even get to see it they just took it away and he says well our test has come back negative,how long you been trying for??and i was like um only about 4 months and he said well dear its early days i wouldnt worry yet,he said it as though i was sooooo desperate to be preggas that i made it up or imagined it!!So i cried all the way back to work then did another test the next morning still a BFP finally got into my doc and she says im not even gonna do a test!!4 tests is enough already!!haha anyway whoopsy i raved on there!!Point is.....some docs:rolleyes: well i just dunno why they are them!!So we will wait for the next test,you pin cushion you!!Annoying but hey????Hope you still feeling ok.

AFM: Sort of busy day. Woke up feeling crap cause Oliver decided to wake up every 15-20 mins from 5am onwards. We went into Rock & Rhyme and also got some new library books. In the afternoon I got a message from a mum in my MG inviting Oliver and I to go to the pool with her and her bub tomorrow morning. I wanted to - but didn't have any pool-appropriate attire, so had to go shopping. I went to Target and got my mum to come with me, and guess what!?!?! She (accidentally) shoplifted!!! :shakehead: I tried on some board shorts and singlets, but had some bather bottoms just hanging off the pram. While I paid, my mum took Oliver outside to wait for me. It wasn't until we were outside and 50 metres down the street that I realised the bather bottoms were still hanging off the pram, unpaid for! So, I got them and ran back into Target to pay for them - not that anyone had noticed or cared, even though the gate things beeped :rolleyes:. My mum - the criminal! :rofl:
So, now that Oliver and I both have swimming gear, we're off to the pool tomorrow morning for the first time! Yay! Hopefully Oliver will like it.

PJ- yeah this Doc is good if you need a medical cert to get off work, my last preg he was good...but this time i guess all i can do is :shakehead: at him. and yes i am a human pincusion...i look like a vampire has bitten my arm! hehe...better eat more garlic :P
Sterla: bwahah your naughty mummy!i guess its easy enough done! at least you went back and paid for it, alot of people wouldnt! (a friend of mine her mum did the same thing but with hair dye, she only realised when she got home!) YaY for you and Oli going swimming! that'll be soo much fun! dose Oli like his baths? im guessing it'll be the same? :dunno: you'll have to tell us how it goes!
AFM: had the blood test. DJ proved he's a ladies man! got home just after 12. and both DJ and i crashed out untill 3. got up fed changed and bathed him. plaied with him and he crashed out again at 5:30 untill 6:45. then off we went to have dinner with my family, my sisters just finished her commerce/law degree. so champain was bought over. i had about 20mls :P then palmed the rest off to my sister...we dont think we'll be tell them about "bundy/bundle" untill after the blood tests are back and what not. (plus we can get ready for the "ooh its too soon!" comments...as well as "but your 21st, you'll be pregnant for tha too" comments) but im starting to remember that morning sickness is not that. for me its on and off all day sea sickness!

sterla-How did you go swimming??Ive ordered a swim training ring off ebay as i was going to do swimming lessons with summer but couldnt decide and didnt want to go on my own so i havent got round to it but now its getting warmer my sister has a pool so i thought she could bob around in a swim ring thing at least and cool off.I laughed sooo much at your mum,thats something mine used to do!!Great you got some swimming attire,i got some just last week from bigw,they had some real good stuff too,i got some board short bottom things matching even:dance: summers alot better seems its totally gone today,she even had conjunctivitis yesterday but seems totally better today,woke up at 5am not wanting to go back to sleep maybe since she felt better she was like no way im getting up to play!!!Great about Oly crawling yahoooooo!!Do you have to watch him all the time or move things out of the way?How fast does he go?do they like go real fast straight away?

well,not sure what we doing today,summers gone back to sleep(typical wakes us up at 5am now goes back to sleep)DH is still coughing down the other end of the house so i might go and get some of the nice photos we got done of summer printed and maybe get a movie or something.apart from that we not doing much,have a barbie tomorow if Dh is a bit better.No other excitements really!!hope everyone has a good weekend!
