PJ: Look for whitish bulges in the gum - well, that's what Oliver's were like before they came through. His top teeth (that aren't through yet) you can actually sort of see under the gum.
I am SO jealous - I would love Oliver to sleep 12 hours!
Try not to worry about Summer, I think some bubs are just less physical than others. If she's engaging with the world around her, I'm sure all is fine and she'll get there in her own time.
Blip: How was Daz's MCHN appointment? Haha about Daz commando crawling! He'll be mobile before you know it! Oliver's nowhere close to crawling, though he desperately wants to get somewhere... anywhere! Could you really be UTD? How exciting if you are! :)
Moose: You do sound BUSY! Hope your weekend goes well - I bet you'll miss Sammy like crazy.
AFM: Oliver has learnt another trick... bopping to music!!! It's the cutest thing - get some music going while he's sitting down, and he bops up and down to it! I'm not even sure how he learnt to do it - I must bop to music without realising, lol. After Rock & Rhyme today, the dad of one of the babies played 'Funky Cold Medina' on his phone, and there was Oliver bopping away to it! :D
Hope all you mamas and bubbas are doing well :).
good evening laides!
PJ: aww that sounds soo cute summers "sky diving" (one of the bubs at my MG did that! and hes almost crawling?!?!?) DJ just kinda...pushs himself along...he crawled over DH's arm tonight 0_0 im sure once summer twiggs she can move - she wont stop!
Sugar:  well done Master L! sleeping though. such a good boy! ooo you got to see white bumps, thats cool. i think i missed that part!
sterla: awww that is sooo cute! he can be bom-funk-Oli. he may well just be very good at rhythem! (boppin' gangsta!...just think Venilla ice's quote "word to your mother" but make it "milk from your mother")
AFM: i have Nooo idea if i'm up the duff. did a HPT and it was neg. BUT i'll wait untill next week - as that happend with daz - a week before a/f was due i got a neg. then the DAY BEFORE a.f was due i got the first bfp, mid avro. so who knows?!? isnt stopping me form having a glass of red wine now though! daz is commando crawling, he crawled right over DH's arm tonight! my babys growing up! was talking to my mother tonight about more kids and i flat out said "when it happens it happens" which i copped "Oh but you dont want another one just yet do you?" when is said "when it happens, it happens" she got all stroppy with me! :wall: stupid women she can be! :shh: dont tell any one but i kind of hope im UTD lol. strange but...i just...yeah. if not. ohh well. any bets im not! hehe...just means "more practice!" (i think i've been in the mood more then DH becuase i've got my 'sexy back' LOL well..kind of!) but i think im ready to go though it all over agian. but we'll wait and see i guess!
anyw whoo i better get some sleep!
hope every one is having a good moring/arvo (by the time you all read this!)
:wiggle:
Far out Ladies,
So much to say so little time!
BLIP!!! Holey moley! Cant wait to find out if you are utd, how exciting! Thats unreal Daz is crawling over things now, the baby-proofing begins...
Sterla- The sleep deprivation can only go on for so long... hopefully tonight is better for you.
It totally sucked putting Winter in her own room, now Im sooo glad of it. I dont have to tip-toe in and out of the bedroom and DP and I can actually TALK in bed *shock horror*. I still wouldntchange having her in our room up untill when we did though. Rolling over and seeing her cheeky smile first thing in the morning is ... was *sniff* the best thing ever.
Moose- Good to hear from you, hope you and your DH have a good solo night away. How is Sammy going?
PJ- Have you tried putting a rolled muslin under Summer's arms when she is on her tummy? I call Winter 'pingu'(as in the penguin) as she does the 'sky diving' thing too but it always reminded me of a penguin tummy slide.
Dont stress too much, she will catch up, just try lots of little tummy time installments maybe? like even 30 seconds??
Sugardust- How exciting sleeping through! I freaked when Winter did it the other week too.
Lots to tell, but as usual Baybay is due awake 10 mins ago so gotta be quick.
Rock and rhyme was ok... I think my expectations were too high. Still going to go each week anyway.
Entered Winter is a cutest baby contest and found out yesterday she came second of around 30 babies! Going to pick up our prize this arvo which is a huge frame with the winning photo enlarged. How sweet is that?! I had convinced myself we werent going to win, as the photo was not really that good, just one I had laying around. Stoked though!
Fathers day Winter got DP a mug and stubbie cooler with her pictures on it, check out 'snapfish' on google, they have some good stuff. Made a card today too.
Sleep still not the best but whats new :)
Hope your all well :)
7 months old today! Where did the time go????
peach-Thanks for that,i think your right maybe i'll try smaller intervals and something under her.
Blip-haha you sooo funny!Well let us know!My stick didnt turn until just before AF too,so you never know!
sterla-Thanks i'll keep looking at the gums(if the cheeky tongue i can keep out the way!!)I sooo hope you get more sleep!!It must be awful!!We been so lucky because summer has been a real good sleeper from the start, but only at night. How cute the bopping! What a little groover! They get such cute little personalities hey?
Well nothing much to report, ive been trying to incease tum time and well shes a bit happier longer,i keep seeing her trying to roll but only from back to tummy, shes almost there but she mainly does it in her cot,but its something.I just feel shes soooo behind! But she'll get there im sure.Had a quiet day but it was nice.well we have alot on tomorrow,i have a kitchen tea, high tea thing in the morning and then we are going out for dinner with some friends as its there anniversary and they wanted to do something special, its a nice fancy place on the water so should be great, summer will stay with my sister just for the evening, oooooh we havent really left her,but will be nice not have to worry and just enjoy a meal out i must say.Ok ladies id better get myself orgaised hope everyone has a good weekend!!
Good morning mummies! How was all the Dad's Father's Day (first one for a lot of them!). My DH had a pretty good first Father's Day I think. He liked his present, and I made us french toast for breakfast (first time I've made it).
Blip: How are you going? Any idea about being UTD yet? I think we're all quite excited for you, lol. Haha about Daz's commando crawling. Oliver doesn't do anything like that, but he is starting to lunge forward from sitting onto his tummy. Happy 7 months Daz!!!
Peach: Wow, that is fantastic about Winter getting second place in the cutest baby contest!!! From the pic in your ticker she does look like a gorgeous little girl! How are you and Winter these days? :)
PJ: Try not to worry about Summer's development - she'll get there in her own time. How did your evening out go? Did you miss Summer like crazy? I still haven't left Oliver with anyone other than DH, and even then it's only been for half an hour at the most! I'm such a softy, lol. I think I've convinced myself that Oliver won't sleep for anyone but me, cause I'm the only one who ever gets him to sleep. So, between me breastfeeding and thinking I'm the only one who can get him to sleep, there's only a limited amount of time I'd feel comfortable leaving Oliver for. Haha, I think I'm just a big sook!
How is everyone else doing?
AFM: Friday Oliver had a play date with a little girl called Jasmine (she's 9 months) from our MG. It's amazing how much difference those couple of months make!
Had a nice weekend. Had friends over Saturday night - watched Bruno and I have now been scarred for life, lol. Sunday was a nice laid back day, had afternoon tea with my parents for Father's Day. Over the weekend DH and I have also been finishing off Oliver's room, because... we are moving him into his own room tonight... waaahhhh!!! I'm so torn by it - I want my room to myself again (and to read in bed again!), but I'm going to miss Oliver being in with us... that hallway is going to feel very long I think. So, last night was Oliver's last night in with us - tonight we're moving the cot into his room, and he'll sleep there. I'll let you know how it goes.
Oliver and I have MG today, which I'm quite excited about - I love catching up with all the other mums, and watching the babies play together :).
Anyway, Oliver has just woken up, so I better go. Have a great week everyone.
good morning ladies!
Peach: yep it has started! mind you - DH hasnt quite cottoned onto it. he left his Diggi radio plugged in and DJ almost pulled it down via the cord  but im sure he'll learn  winter looks soo cute in your ticker - im sure it was an easy win for her!
PJ: im sure summer will be fine! i know that some babies dont roll untill over 9months! but they fly ahead in other aspects of development - like speech or fine motor skills as apposed to gross motor skills. or she'll supprise you done day and be like "taaadaaaar" and not stop!
Sterla: Aww Oli's a bug bubba - going into his own room! but i get the sad part about not having them there though (it was the other way around for us i went from being in DJ's room back to mine :p ) yay for play dates, its fun watching the babies interect with each other! hope you have heaps of fun at MG!
AFM: got another :bfn: today. hrmm...i'll hold off again untill wednesday (or thursday) and see. if still :bfn: i'll be off to the docs - and ask for a blood test. fathers day was fairly good (which was a HUGE suppise) got DH a MJ dvd and socks. he bought himself a cordless drill (he wouldnt let me buy it becuase "its too expenstive") went to the PIL's place. now most of the girls from the bellybuddies grp would know all the drama we've had with BIL & SIL. well yesterday was. a shock. they where nice. yes nice ot DH, DJ and I! as in they talked to us - asked us about DJ and what's happening with us :jawdrop: which ment DH and i could ask about them and their dogs (DH also asked his brother about if they intend on having kids... 0_o) and i sat next to SIL and talked to her - one on one for the first time in...well...ever. so that was nice. today. not much planned. im going to attempt to make my hair blonde(er) if possable...we'll see (or it'll end up like a soft copper which i wouldnt mind eather...)
hope every one is having a good day :wiggle:
Afternoon ladies :)
How is everyone doing these days?
Well, Oliver his first night in his bedroom last night, and it all went quite smoothly - better than I was expecting. Oliver slept fine, and I did too, eventually. I was so worried I wouldn't be able to hear him, but I did easily enough. He still woke up 3 times though... so it doesn't seem to have made any difference there yet.
MG yesterday was good - only 10 of the 17 mums showed up. Oliver saw his girlfriend, and they held hands (awwww!!!) - very cute. I talked to her mum, and we are going to meet up some time this week or next which will be great.
Discovered today that Oliver is actually slowly starting to progress towards crawling. He stays up on his hands and knees for a while and rocks about - he'll work it out soon enough, then, WATCH OUT!
Well, better go. I have some fluffy mail waiting at the post office for me!
morning ladies!
sterla : Uh-oh baby proofing time! thats good to hear Oli has a 'girlfriend'! soo cute. and how cute is that whole rocking thing? how meany fluffys do you have now?!?
hows every one else going? all busy with bubba's ay?
AFM: been semi busy here. (people with plat know about this) but DH is going to be out of a job (at some point between Dec & feb) But has be offered another job at the place taking over DH's. which DH isnt stressing about (and im not now  ) and just watching daz. he's not gotten up and 'rocked' yet..but he can spin around in cercals on his belly! (it looks soooo funny!) and has become much more talkative! i sware he said 'daddaddaddad' thismorning! but who knows!
Ohh and im now blonde(ish red) too. went and bought the lightest blonde i could find and did it myself. after thursday i'll post pics on FB (i dont want my family finding out BEFORE they see it [insert evil laugh here] ohh and got another :bfn: today to...so we'll wait and see. i talked to a friend of mine whoes studying the whole doctor thing (next year is his last!) and said it can take any where up at 6 months post-brest feeding for the cycle to become 'normal' again. so we'll see ay?
Ooo better go the DJ-eater of soooo much food- is awake.
hope every one is having a nice day!
:wiggle:
Hi ladies!!Ive been sooo busy!Ive been out everyday this week!Had some tuff days!!Summers refusing to sleep in the day and it would be ok if she was happy but she just winges all day and wants me,not sure whats going on,she seems to be sleeping ok at night still but up real early, she must be so tired!!I know i am!!
Blip-You happy with your hair?cant wait to see pics!!I thought i heard Summer say dadada too but thought nah cant be then at the kitchen tea others noticed it so she must be,finally shes doing something!!
Sterla-The evening was great thanks, but yep we missed her terribley!!I could barely leave her!!!Then my sister had to push me out then all the way home i felt so sad and i missed her sooo much it was crazy!!My sister had that many text messages in an hour!!BUt after a while it was ok and we had a real nice time out.Good to get our bubby back though heehee,im a big sook too.
Thanks so much everyone for there encouragement with summers developement.I guess i'll just keep trying just gets me down but i guess no need to worry.I went and visited a friend whose just had a baby, they think shes got spina bifida!!She has to have xrays on Friday, also her soft spot seems closed, poor thing,i thought i must pull my head in,theres people with way worse to worry about, just hope alls ok for her shes had that many miscarriages etc now this.Well im stuffed so might go have a real early night, well clean up first night girls
Hi Ladies!
How are you all going??
Sterla, great to hear Oli (and you) went ok with the transition to his own room. What nappies did you get this time? I think im getting sick of terry to be honest, only because Winter wee's literally every ten mins so she goes through soooooooooooooooooooooo many as opposed to when we use the magic-alls. Its all about finances here though so Ive been looking... ahem- dreaming on ebay and buy for baby for now. Want to get some pockets though and maybe some itti bitti...
3 times a night is rough, Winter is up 2 times a night and that is enough!
10 Mums at your MG is heaps!!! We have about 5 now give or take...
Blip-Thats good your hair worked out. And I bet your relieved your DH will still be in a job!
PJ- Oh that is so awful about your poor friend and her Bub :(
Its hard when they wont sleep hey? Thats great you had a nice night out(even if you were thinking about Summer the whole time!)
Try not to stress too much about her developmment, have you spoken to a nurse or anything about it? Thats exciting that she is trying to roll in her cot!
Moose- How are you and Sammy??
Well as for us... Ill try to compress it or Ill be typing for ages I think! OH! Winter stood up by herself last night! That was huge! She was holding onto the coffee table and stood up for about 10 seconds. She is standing up now if I guide her under her arms.
We've been having heaps of trouble with constipation lately, so I stewed a bunch of prunes and today she did 4 huge turds so that was nice... in a stinky way :)
Ummm what else?? OH!!! Wednesday I spotted a top front tooth! It hasnt cut yet but it is going to any moment... so tooth number 5 I cant believe it. I went to a good friends funeral monday which was awful so I really was finding it hard this week to be cheerful and Winter was really grizzly, I thought it was maybe just my mood rubbing off on her untill I spotted the new tooth.
She also started making dadada and bababab noises about a week or so ago and she is moving around on her tummy backwards and also twisting around in circles.
So I think thats about it for us! Sorry if I seem short but Im really tired, I do still love you girls though!
Hope your all well and thats everyone has a great weekend with their families :)
Helloooooooooooo its tipsy Pj!!Sorry girls i dont mean to be but we opened some wine and i sooo cant handle my alcohol obviosuly coz ive barely had 2 glasses heehee!Anyways thought id say hello.I had such a good day today!!yah!Summer was back to her little cute good self so that was a huge releif, she slept like normal again and was happy all day,she still didnt have any sleep but was pretty happy so thats good.I went out for coffee with a friend whose bubba girl is the same age so that was nice then i met my sister and found a dress for my dads wedding,i was so pleased it was only a cheapy from target but soo nice!So thats good!
Peach-You made me absoultely crack up about the terds!!HAHA!!!Summers been the same, prunes always do the trick with her too,her last one was soooo bad i had to literally hose her off in the bath!!I didnt kno what to do i was like ok um um trying to get the poo soaked t shirt off gross!!Worked though!!So sorry to hear about your friend! That must of been a tough week lovey!!Hope your ok!!
Well ladies,hi to you all i reeeeeaaallly thik i should get off tis thing coz it no good when you had a drinky poo makes you feel worse, computers i mean ha!Ok well hope everyones good,no ohter news to report,no ttoothys o anything altho how grumpy summers been i was sure there would be.nighty night!!!p.s dot drink and BB heeheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Evening ladies
Peach: Bwahaha - come over to the (MCN) darkside!!! Honestly, they are so addictive! My most recent additions have been a cow print itti bitti d'lish and a Cushie Toushie Couture. I've also started stocking up on cloth wipes - so I'll be completely on cloth! This month is a good month the be buying MCNs cause of the nappy hunt. If you join up on the nappy hunt you get a discount code that you can use, plus heaps of nappy places have discounts now anyway. PM me if you want more details :).
 Wow, well done Winter on standing!!! What a clever girl. Oliver is so close to pulling himself to standing - he tends to pull himself up onto his knees, but he'll get there. Another tooth! Does her smile look very different with all those teeth?
 Sorry to hear about your friend :(.
PJ: That's no good about Summer not wanting to sleep during the day. It's hard when they won't sleep in the day, isn't it!? Can't get anything done or any time to yourself. Oliver has been great with day sleeps, but it's been at a price (which I'll explain later). He's been doing 1.5 - 2 hours the last few days.
Blip: That's great that your DH has another job lined up - must be such a relief for you! Yay about Daz saying 'Dadada'! Oliver has been saying 'Mamama' and 'Bababa', and is attempting something like 'Poppa' cause we keep saying it to him over and over, lol.
Any BFP/BFN news?
How is everyone else doing?
AFM: Well, things are good here, apart from some fairly serious sleep deprivation. Oliver has been waking 3 times a night for the past 4 nights then waking for the day at 6am... then last night... well, Oliver woke at 11pm, went back down at 11.30pm fine... then he was up at 2.30am and didn't go back down until 5.15am!!! :o I'd feed him, he'd fall asleep then he'd wake up and cry when I went to put him to sleep. Then I'd rock him to sleep, and again he'd wake when I'd put him down. He finally went down, but by then I was so edgy (expecting him to wake up again) that I didn't get to sleep till 6.15am... then Oliver woke at 7.30am. So tired! I hate feeling this tired - I don't feel like I can be a very good mummy to Oliver when I'm this tired :(.
I am desperately hoping this is a phase that will pass soon (very soon).
Well, I better go. I need an early night.
ello my lovey ladies!
Peach: wow a top toothy peg! thats cool. 5 teeths?!?! DJ only has two! and  for her standing up! thats brillaint. they are growing sooooo fast now its crazy!
Pj: haha tipsy PJ! nothing like surfing BB whilest tipsy! i do that from time to time...mind you...re-reading badly spelt (ok...worser...if thats even a word...it is now...for me :p ) is always a good laugh! lol at the turd talk. DJ's been a little blocked...but he 'cleared out' the other day! two days of 4Xaday poo! was a little...ahem...on the nose! im sorry to hear about your friend  i hope she's ok and everything is ok for her and her bubba girl!
sterla: i think i need to start up an online support group for all thease MCN addicts! "Hi My Name Is Sterla And I'm Addicted To MCNS, I try to only buy one a week...BUT ITS ALL TOO MUCH FOR ME I WANT THEM AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL" ;) i hope Oli starts sleeping better for you... sleep deoprovation is the worst form of tauture
AFM: Big :bfn: here. judgeing by my cramps a/f isnt too far off. which is good but bad. thanks to my DH i semi got my hopes up. but hey...it'll happen when a new soul (or an old soul as is the case for DJ i belive) wants to enter this world. Plus with the whole saga of DH's work. yes he *may* have a job offer, nothing has been officaly said as yet. all "so and so said..." right now. but we did talk to my father, who i will admit i can not go *anywhere* with out him knowing at least ONE person said he'll keep an ear out after DH's work place closes (or they're given a date). so i'm not worried. DH wanted a change i guess, so its happend at the right time. (if you're game i've set up another blog at tehm@ason89 dot livejournal dot com (just take away the @ and leave the a) for somemore insite into my crazy head (and world too!) other then that things are fairly quiet on this frount.
hope every one is having a crusy weekend! :wiggle:
Hi ladies!!Just a quick pop in to say ello!No news really,we had a good weekend, took Summer to an animal park thing with Dhs parents, its free but got heaps of animals and then we had lunch in the park, she amazed me how much she took note of all the animals there!Still no toothy pegs but she is finally pretty much sitting up so im soooo excited, she still hasnt rolled infront of me but still the old secret rolling happening in the cot ;) hope everyone had a good weekend!
Sterla-Oh you poor thing!!I couldnt stand it,i know how you feel, when i dont get much sleep or even when summer wont sleep in the day i feel im not a good mummy, amazing how we keep going tho hey?I get too impatient.I have to hand it to you!!You are such a good mummy! You never get cross or say anything bad!I get all grrrrrr!hehe me meany!I sooooo hope you have some good nights coming up sleep dep is the worst thing ever!!
Blip-No BFP aye?I was sure it was!hehe i liked your new soul for an old soul thing!!Hope you dont get a nasty AF im due tomorrow too.
Hello to everyone else, hope everyone gets some much needed sleep,i havent been sleeping good and then with summer not sleeping at all in the day i feel i need it!!So i might try to get some while shes gone down, night everyone!
Morning mummies :)
PJ: That's great that Summer is almost sitting! See - she's fine, she's just doing it all in her own good time. Lol about the secret cot rolling! Oliver has started getting himself into some funny positions in his cot - how they do it I have no idea. That's nice that you took Summer to an animal park, I bet she loved it! I've been meaning to take Oliver to our city park, cause they have monkeys there - but the weather has been bad for so long. Does Summer love animals? Oliver gets super-excited when he sees our cats, so much so that he squeals and scares them off. I hope you got some sleep :).
Blip - or should I say 'Dansta'! Love the new name, though you'll always be 'Blip' to me, lol. How was your weekend? Awww, too bad about the BFN and AF coming. It'll happen for you though - it's really not that far away when you'll be TTC is it. Lol - yes I am an MCN addict... it's sad, and no one else IRL understands, ha ha! I've ordered more (again) which should arrive this week. I am starting to get to the point where I actually have enough to go a day or two between washes, which is good.
Peach: How you going hun? How is Winter?
AFM: Sleep still not great here. Oliver is still waking up 3 times a night, but at least we haven't had any more nights where he's been awake for hours and hours. It's hard, but I actually think my body is somehow adjusting, cause I don't feel too bad today (even though last night it was 4 wake ups). Oliver has been having one long day sleep a day too, which helps I think.
DH also thinks he felt another tooth coming though (the first top one), so maybe that's why he's waking so much? I don't know.
Oliver has a 'date' with his girlfriend, Ella, this morning, haha. They'll be coming when Ella has woken up from her nap. It's so cute watching them together. I get along quite well with the mum, so it will be good to have some mummy company too :).
Hope everyone is well.
morning ladies!
Pj: YaY about the animal farm! thats soo cool. i think if we took daz to one he's want to be a wiggle bum and get the animals! as for summers teethies, one day they'll just pop up - thats what happend with daz the just went *pop* and where there. lol at her sneaky rolling - i just had her inner monolog in my head ... "ok mummy and daddy are alseep...time to ROLL ROLL ROLL"
Sterla : you out-posted me! happy 7 months for yesterday Oli! maybe the new tooth thing is waking him up? i hope he settles back down for you soon! lol at him scaring the cats away with excitement, that is so cute! hope you enjoy the mummy time! (and oli plays nice with his girlfriend ;) )
How was every one else's weekends?
AFM: a/f wasnt too painful. but shes here...full force. but DH and i did have a nice weekend. i had coffee with some girls from high school and then bumped into an ex (whoes still a friend of mine) which was cool. and yesterday we went over to DH's mates new place which was fun. mummy got to have a few drinkies :D and talked to DH's mate G - who made me feel all nice and little (but i guess DH being 10 years older and his friends being 29 and 33 cant be avoided) and they both made atleast two blonde jokes each! which was amuseing. got home and had a relaxing night. thismoring at ten past 8 there was a knock at the door. so me assumeing it was FIL opend it in my jimjams. whoops  it was the solar pannle guy needing to fix something eheheh...at least i wasnt nude i guess :p day we're not doing much...maybe go into the local shopping center and see how much play pens are...and maybe getting my plates put back onto my car :yay: but we'll see...Ohh and DJ has finealy worked out how to do the whole rasberry thing! he was doing it at DH early saterday morning hehe...which was cute (and nice that i got a sleep in! )
Hope every one is having a nice day!!
Ooo better go Mr DJ is hungry :wiggle:
Dansta: Sounds like you had a nice weekend :). Haha about answering the door in your pjs - I've done that a bit, but having a baby is a good excuse ;).
Well, Oliver's 'date' went well :). They played near each other on the floor, looking at each other with great interest. Oliver reached out an tried to touch Ella a few times. At one point they even swapped toys, awwww sharing. Oh, and Oliver rolled from back to tummy for the first time while they were here. Now he can go both ways... watch out!
I think Oliver and I will go visit Ella and her mum at their place next. It's so nice, slowly making friends with other mums.
Anyway, I better go try and get some housework done while Mister Oliver sleeps.
Howdy Ladies!
I'm in trouble! My nan (the boys great nan) looked after the boys and she told me he crawled from one side of the lounge to the other so prob 2 meters in one hit!
How is everyone anyway...???
Hello ladies!!
Sterla-yes Summer loves animals, she does the same at our cat,he will be getting all close to her and then she squeals so the cats ears go back and he takes off haha!Thats sooo cute about OLiver!!and that you get along with Ellas mum,I only really have one friend who has a bub Summers age, most of my firends have kids older and my sisters kids are all at school.
Dansta-thats funny in your Pjs!Ive done that too,i had bed hair and everything heehee.
sugardust-wow!!How cool!Lock up the place haha. You'll be on your toes now hey?
Well i went out this morning and Summer actually slept when we got home i nearly died of shock!!she fell asleep in the car so i took her out and put her straight in her cot expecting a major cranky attack and screaming episode but she went to sleep for about 2 hours!!Was awesome! She hasnt had a day sleep in weeks! So i got some things done it was great!shes been doing good sitting up still im so excited finally something!Still no teeth,i really thought after the few cranky days there might be something, funny none yet ohwell better go get some more done.
Good Morning Ladies,
How is everyone today? Winter and I are sick AGAIN! I cant believe it! She had a runny nose sunday night and by the middle of sunday night she could hardly breathe through her nose :( Im sneezy and snotty and DP is a mess too, ARGH! Took her to the doctors yesterday too and he checked her ears and said to just keep an eye on her, keep up the prunes and did I mention she had a nasty rash? Its thrush :( God Im not winning Mum of the year anytime soon, but Im trying my best. Apparently we all have this tybe of bacteria in our bodies... no idea why it popped up though.
Good news(Sterla you'll be into this) just scored some bargains off 'Buy for baby' 7 nappies inc green kids pocket and beehinds(bamboo and hemp) for $7.50 and under! stoked!
Not much else happening... Oh the top tooth cut on sat! She is too cute :)
PJ- I cracked up when I read your tipsy post! Hahhahaha  And that is sooo awesome that Summer slept in her cot yesterday! You must have been so stoked! Does your cat ever let Summer pat it? Winter loves our cat but she grabs chunks of hair instead of patting, then you have to release her iron grip!
Sugar Dust- Holey Moley! Crawling! That is sweet, I bet you were devo you missed it though. Has there been a repeat performance?
Dansta- I though we might have had a new buddy but its you! Glad to hear you guys had a good weekend. As for AF I think I might be getting mine soon... Ive been having tummy cramps the last 3 days and have been a bit cranky(a good indication!) NOOOOO Im so not looking for ward to it! Did you get any sighns before your first one after Daz was born??
Sterla- Thata great you are making some Mummy friends. In a few months you will look back and wonder what you did without them. Not to mention how great it will be for Oli to grow up with little friends(or girlfriends :))
As for the mcn thing I SOOOO know what you mean, DP keeps saying "why do we need anymore?!Your done now arent you" "what the hell? No I only have 6!" One of my friends just got some itti bitti's which she loves so I have a fellow cloth buddy. Even though SIL (who converted me) uses terry she just isnt into the mcn thing.
Did you have a better sleep last night? A top tooth, how exciting! Hopefully Oli goes back to his previous good sleeping ways soon.
Man Im tired! Winter was up five times during the night then after her 5am feed the STUPID bird started outside her window and woke her up.
Hope your all having a good day.:D
Peach: Hey :D. That sucks that you are all sick. I hope you are all feeling better soon .
Wow, those are some good MCN bargains! I'll check out that site. Yeah, definitely try some itti bittis! I have 5 of them, and I really like them. They're so small, they're not much bigger than a disposable.
You know what else I'm obsessed with though - Babylegs! They're so cool - I can't wait for the weather to warm up so that Oliver can just wear his nappy, a singlet and some babylegs.
I hope you manage to get some rest today. Up 5 times at night is rough!!!
PJ: Woohoo for Summer's long sleep! Isn't it amazing how much you can get done when they have long sleeps! Oliver was doing long day sleeps, but seems to have given them up again... :wall:. That is so great that Summer is sitting up :).
SugarDust: Wow! Crawling! That is amazing... I guess it won't be long before all our little ones are on the move. Uh oh - watch out!
Dansta: How are you and Daz going? Isn't it all so great about Skye and her bubba! I can't believe how big she was for how early she was! :o
Moose: How is the busy Moose going? I believe you have some news for us about Sammy? (I was on my hotmail and noticed your update ;)).
AFM: Well, the crappy sleep continues... Last night Oliver woke at 11.15pm, and just would not go back down again. He'd fall asleep on me, then when I put him down he'd wake up and cry... so frustrating! I fed him a couple of times, but that didn't fix the fact that he'd wake and cry whenever I put him down. In the end I rocked him for ages until he must have been in too deep a sleep to wake up. It was 1.15am by the time I got to bed, and then he was awake 3 hours later. He was a little hard to get down then (though not as bad), but awake 15 minutes later for more cuddles/rocking :wall:. Finally got him down at 5.15am, then he slept till 7am. Not much sleep for me :(. His day sleeps have gone all funny too. I've had to go back to feeding him to sleep cause he gets too worked up and upset every other way (and I am already far too tired to deal with hours of crying). I have no idea what's going on. If it's teeth, well he never makes a fuss about them any other time. I'm actually thinking that it might be separation anxiety. That's supposed to kick in around this age. And it does make sense why he only gets upset when I put him down in his cot (although he doesn't during the day, but he can see me then). I kind of hope it is that, just so I know what I'm dealing with. So, I have had a week straight now of 3+ wakings. Gee I hope it stops soon.
Apart from the crappy sleep, we are actually quite good. Oliver is really looking like he's trying to work out crawling. He's able to get from sitting to his tummy, and when he's up on his hand and knees he kind of experiments with different movements. It's so funny watching their little minds and bodies trying to work everything out.
This afternoon Oliver and I are off to visit a fellow BBer. She just moved to Tassie (a few blocks away from where I live actually), and doesn't know anyone, so I'm going to meet her. She has two toddlers, and she's pregnant, and she's just moved states, and she doesn't know anyone here. I'd be losing my mind, but she sounds like she's coping with it all. Oh, and she's into MCNs too!!!
Hope everyone is well.
Oh Sterla you must be so tired!!! Have you tried getting him to sleep while he is in the cot? We were rocking and feeding Winter to sleep... Im sure you remember! Now we roll her on her side facing away from us and slowly pat her bot whilst holding her shoulder. Yeah its hell 20% of the time and I do cheat every now and again with feeding to sleep(ok twice today :)) But it is good as then you dont have to worry about the careful transition into cot and also Oli wont be able to see you when he goes to sleep so he cant see you leave iykwim? Lately I dont even have to hold her as she knows its sleepy time....
Just an idea! Thats what they said at sleep school too.
Hope your meet up goes well today! And a cloth buddy too, just after you said you didnt have anyone IRL to obsess with!
Morning ladies
Peach: Thanks for those sleep ideas. If the bad sleep goes on too much longer I'm going to have to do something...
Last night was slightly better. We actually got a 4 hour stretch of sleep from him, which is the longest we've had in a while. He woke up three times, but for two of those times he went back down without any problems. The last time he decided it was time to be awake, but he did go back down about 6am and slept till 8am, so I actually ended up getting some sleep last night.
My meet up with the BB member was okay. She's a bit shy, and I'm a bit shy, so we struggled a little with conversation, but I think it will improve if we keep meeting. Her two kids were lovely - the boy spent a lot of time bringing out all his toy trucks to show me. Oliver loved it too - he loves watching other little people :).
Also, got nappies and cloth wipes and babylegs in the mail today!!!
How is everyone else doing? The sun is shining here today, so I'm going to take Oliver to the park :).
Oh, and I've been meaning to ask you girls (just out of curiosity) since our bubs are about the same age... how many day sleeps are your bubs having? Oliver is still on three sleeps a day, but they're mostly little 40 minute cat naps. I'm wondering if I keep him awake longer I can maybe get 2 big sleeps from him instead. I'll have to try.
Also, how many of you have bub on 3 solids meals a day? I'm thinking Oliver might be ready, but I'm struggling with what to feed him, cause he's still only on fruit/veg and occasional porridge or rice cereal.
Oliver is having a nice long day sleep for once!!! Almost 2 hours! Have gotten so much done!
Oliver finally, finally, finally had a decent night!!!!!!!
He went down at 8.30pm and slept through till after 3.30am! He slept 7+ hours without waking!!!! Then he woke for a feed (thank goodness - my boobs were about to burst after more than a week of 3+ night feeds), had his feed and I put him back down. He was still awake and talking to himself when I left him, but eventually he stopped talking and fell asleep (all on his own :D) until 7.15am.
I've been trying to work out if we did anything differently to make him sleep better... but I can't think of anything. Maybe, hopefully - it was just a phase that has now passed :crossfingers:.
I hope everyone is having a good day so far :).
Mmmm.... 3, now 4 posts in a row.
Me thinks me needs to get a life
sterla-hahaha you made me crack up!!Ive done the same, come back on to say something but my post was still the last one so i thought oooh will i??Thats great Oli had a good night, did you sleep?Summer sleeps through most the time but if she does have a bad night then i dont sleep the next few thinking or waiting for her to wake up!!Ok the 2 questions....Summer used to sleep like one big sleep mid late morning then a nap in arvo but then she went threw a phase of not sleeping at all or maybe 2 half hour naps all day then she went back for about 3 days to one 2 hour day sleep and a half hr nap in arvo but now looks like we are back to half hour naps. How long does Oli sleep at night?Summer has quite a big spell there thats why i wander if she doesnt need much in day but another lady i knows bubs the same age and she still has a 3 hour and 2 hour sleep. So Summer at night always in bed before 8(she just did that herself)and then she wakes about 6 for bot bot then goes back, sometimes 2 hours sometimes more or less.boy ive raved on there!!!solids, shes a guts, she was having 3 meals a day or more!!and i am also struggling what to give!!She loves yogurt and mashed banana

SD: Wow have you seen this cralwing yet?!?!
PJ YaY for a long sleep its good but scary when it happens isnt it?
Peach: aww about the thrush! DS had that (along with the dribble rash!) i was useing dactaren (sp?) on it and it cleared up (plus if he got any in his mouth it was fine becuase its used to treat oral thrush!) my first two a/f after daz where 'normal' 21 days apart now they've gone to 34 days apart :o which is 'normal' a friend of mine whoes *almost* a GP told me...so who knows :dunno:
...thats interesting about the patting to sleep...i semi do that with DJ once he's alseep in my arms i put him down and if he wakes i patt him like that...and it works then...but im a softy and love my DJ snuggles!
sterla: YaY for Olis sleeping 7hrs! thats fantastic! i hope he keeps it up! have you given him more solids though out the day? or gone out in the fresh air? as for the three meals aday i'm giving that to daz now (give or take) he's funny becuase he KNOWS he gets his bottle first then about 20mins half an hour later he gets food...and if you try and do it the other way he cracks it! so just go with the flow i guess and see what happens, like i know i'm giving daz up to 120g of food (some of the tinned apple oat stuff - still trying to work out how to make it...i tried and daz didnt like it...so we're going to give it another go!)
AFM: been a semi busy few days here. DH's work times changed for an hour on tuesday/yesterday. as for why i dont know! :wall: DH will be out of a job end of this year/start of next (plat members know this) they're (so rumer has it..) another job at the company taking over (DH is in Logistics for a MAJOR car raido compay who have their own logistic center...) but we're not sure about it they've been told in order to get their pay out from the comany they have to work for the new one which made me go :wtf: on so many levels. but other then that all has been fairly good here...the weather has been wonderful. but today it rains! this weekend we're going with PIL to PIL's sisters place (about a 2hr trip each way, so DH's aunts) who i've met twice. both times at a weddings. once my BIL's and once at mine! but im looking forward to a trip away. DH and I are planning a camp trip for our first wedding anniversary! (with hopefully as meany friends as we can organise to be free on the same weekend!)and before that i'm having a night out (with out DJ or DH with some girls!) in late Oct - a dress up karaoke for Halloween!
Ohh and i have an amuseing story too. last weekend we caught up with DH's mates at their new place and they where talking about "when i was 21 blahblahblah" and all i could say was "thanks guys way to make me feel like a baby!" and one of DH's mates,G was like "Ohh you want to feel little? i was born in the middle of the 70s!" and i found out yesterday it was is 33rd birthday  !
i better toddle off...i need to put away some washing and try and make our bed - if our male cat has moved off it!
hope every one is having a good day and have a lovely weekend! :wiggle:
ohno!!!Sorry girls, mine got posted twice have no idea how!!The phone rang so had to cut it short so i pressed it and oh dear never mind anyway........So,basically after all the rave on she has about 10-11 hours then another1-3 then as of today gone from a 2hr amd a half hr to just a half hr.
Peach-Sorry you not been well!!!Hope you all get better quick!!Poor Winter with the thrush, you cant help feeling bad hey?But its not our fault!!I feel so bad about summers poor eczema.Hopefully it goes soon!!and yes she does exactly the same with the cat!!haha soooo funny and i panick incase he will get cranky but he hasnt yet, they jut grab at the fur its like eeek!!
ok well all the same here really, summer had physio again yestdy, they so happy with her sitting up but still not the rolling and they said she doesnt take any weight on her arms/hands so we gotta work on that now..madness!!But overall she doing well phew!!!other than that good.Hey do any of you ladies give your bubs a like snooky or blNKEY OR TEDDY OR you know comfort thing??my sisters kids still do and Dhs sisters kids do but summers not interested,i thought it migt be too early but the other kids started early but ive tried incase i ever need it but she doesnt seem bothered so i just wandered if there was a trick?or do the just choose something themelves if they want something?or better not to have one?bit of bad news her eczemas flared up again, not major but its increased to her arms and tummy now i dont know why or if it was something shes eaten different. It was clearing up on her legs and then she scratched it so bad its a mess!!You should see it!And wwith it getting warmer she not in longer pants too.ohwell shes been good having no flare ups.ok better go have to go the shops hope evryones good!!
yup!
He is getting around so fast now!
Sugardust: That's so awesome that L is crawling so well, and that you have seen it now :).
PJ: We don't give Oliver any comfort thing for sleep. I did try this cow blanket thing, but Oliver wasn't interested. I think it's the kind of thing where, it doesn't matter when you introduce it, you just have to be really consistent with it. That's no good about Summer's eczema :(. Oliver has it a little bit now, and like you, I can't work out what triggered it. How are you and Summer?
Dansta: Ooh - a girls night out! That will be fun! Will that be the first time you've left Daz? I mean, left him for a while? Haha about the young/old thing! Well, you're the 'baby' (baby blip) of our group! :D Mind you, I think you get to this age, and the difference between 21 and 31 doesn't seem like much. I worked out the other day that I'm the youngest one in my MG - heaps of the other mums are in their early 30s, but when you have babies in common, age doesn't seem to matter :).
Peach: How are you and Winter? Feeling any better?
AFM: Well, sleep seems to be slowly improving here. Oliver only woke up twice the last few nights, and went back down fairly easy (well, easier than those shocking nights from last week). Also, his day sleeps are great! Yesterday he had 2.5 hours in the morning, then 1.5 hours in the afternoon! I couldn't believe it! He seems to be having 2 bigger sleeps a day now, instead of 3 little cat naps.
Oliver has now started 'backwards crawling'. I can put him down on the floor, and he slowly but surely moves backwards (and usually on a curve too). He can also sort of turn around in a circle. I can't believe how quickly he's learning though, and how much he has improved with it in just the couple of days he's been doing it. Crawling may be sooner than I thought!
And I'm having MG at my house on Monday! I'm hoping not everyone shows up, simply cause there's so many of us - but it should be good!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend :).
ello ladies!
been quiet here ay?
how was every ones weekends?
mine? busy! went to see DH's aunts, uncles and cousens on saterday (hello 6hr round trip!) with MIL & FIL. they where very impressed by DJ and how well he goes in the car. DHs aunts, uncle and cousens thought Dj was cute. Dj also had his first 'swing' he loved it! (which was good) and yeah. sunday was ment to be a relaxing day but as per normal DH got "caught up" with doing stuff around the house  namely making gates up for his beloved carport (been working on it since i was preg. with dj!) and saw the PIL again. today was an interesting day. (let me preface by saying MIL mentoned this ons saterday) Today is my Nans 89th B'day :yay: which is really good. she still lives on her own and plays Bingo once aweek (was twice but her friend who drives her is sick now :( ) anywhoo MIL told me it was BILs birthday today. when i called my mum to talk to nan and found out she'd gone home for bingo  i got the gilts about knowing it was BILs birthday and not knowing (well his mobile number i have but :shh: ) his number i called MIL to pass on a happy birthday. FIL picks up and tells me he'll be at our place at 4pm cool. passed to MIL. i ask if she's talked to BIL today and says he's here. i say "oh ok can you wish him happy birthday from us?" she goes "ohh here you can" :omg: so i talk to BIL...you could have cut the owardness with a blunt butter knife...but its done now (i did tell DH i'd be calling his mum to which his brother happy b'day from us...) when DH got home he laughed and said "ooo bet you wish you didnt do that now!" and i said "hehe yes im glad i did! i got browny points and so do you. you should be thanking me!" Oh well...it'll be interesting to se what happens at christmas this year..
that ended up longer then i'd guessumed it would!
Hope every one is having a good week :wiggle:
Ohh and Moose said on FB she'd be around again soon...she's in the throws of moving!

Sterla-How did your MG go??IHow cute Olivers crawling backwards haha, summer still hates tummy time so dont think she'll ever crawl, backwards or forwards haha.
Dansta-sounds like an interesting weekend!!How cute Dj had first swing,we have a park just out the back and i keep meaning to take summer there to see if she likes a little swing on the swings there. Its either been way too hot or we been too busy!!
Hope everyones ok
Hiya ladies :)
Dansta: Busy, busy weekend for you!!! That's great that Daz is so good in the car. *gasp* Evil poster!!!
PJ: Awww, poor Summer being scared of the ferry. I actually have a vague memory of being scared of big boats when I was little - mainly the big scary horn!
AFM: MG yesterday went really well. Ended up having 10 mums show up, so it was quite a packed house. Oliver's new playmat was a big hit with all the bubs. Oliver was a bit cranky though, with all the mums and bubs there... I think he was actually just hungry cause he was fine once I fed him, but naughty mummy didn't realise :(
All the mums commented how good it was having it at someone's house, as it felt much more relaxed.
Oliver and I had a nice afternoon visiting a friend (my sister tagged along, cause she came home 'sick' from school but my parents weren't home). Oliver was in a good mood for everyone. My friend had found a book at a MIssion Shop, but it was the best book. It's just about colours, but it's got heaps of interactive stuff - touch and feel, flaps to lift, etc. Oliver loves it! We also showed Oliver a piano today, which he enjoyed banging on.
Tomorrow Oliver and I are off to playgroup for the first time - should be fun.
Hope everyone is well - we have been very quiet recently, haven't we. Busy lives with young bubs sometimes :).
Hi Girls,
Just dropping in to say hi!
Winter went down tonight and slept for 20 mins and is now screaming with DP patting bot. Oh damn my turn, gotta go!
Peach: Awww - hope Winter settles soon
Hey girls!!No news really.just popping in.
Peach-How did she go?go to sleep?Hope you had a good night!
Sterla-Oh it sounds so nice, maybe i should get into a MG poor summer doesnt have any interaction with other babies!!
Well, been a long day already,Summer was grumpy all morning i knew she was tired but she wouldnt go back to sleep but finally about 10.30 she did,i actually ordered a baby thing off line,i know shes fine at sleepuing at night(slept from 8 til 7.15 last night)but shes no good with day sleeps she just wont and gets all cranky, wont play or anything!!!!so i think i need something,my friend thinks she has a self settling issue but then why does she sleep so well at night?i mean its great i know i shouldnt complain but its still exhausting with out a break in the day at al you know?
