There are many issues that you will encounter as a new parent. We have put together this list of useful articles and threads in order to assist you with some common questions or issues you may have, and to provide you with bit of extra support that we all need as new parents:
Please contact the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) or a Lactation Consultant if you are concerned that you may have breastfeeding and/or supply problems, and before the introduction of solids.
Nothing new here...Pat is asleep and so is Bella so I have some "ME"time available on here. We've had to let our dog have the run of the backyard because ppl have been climbing the fence during the night, Boy are they going to get a surprise this time!LOL
Hope the dog works, Jess
Just got home from brigade, Oscar is sleepy in that "I'm not tired" way so I'm going to get ready for bed - just wanted to reply in this thread so that I get the email notification!
Ooh, and for the first time since the BB was rebuilt the link to the new thread works - thanks Lea
IK
nah she didn't work last night but I think the change in weather spooked her!
Off to the tip I go, have to get the trailer clear so I can fill it with native plantsfor the maypole.
Just a reminder that if you are free this weekend, the Euroa Wool Week Festival is on both Saturday and Sunday and on Monday night is our Balmattum Cup eve EXTRAVAGANZA. So grab the kids and head up my way for some fun.
Morning all just a quick one before getting ready to go to school. Cody is 5 months today, it has gone so quick I still remember when he was just born, better go before I get to mushy.
I know what you mean Amanda, I cant believe Anneliese will be 5 months old next week, i cried last night, i went all mushy when i realised that she's almost half a year old... Hope its not preggy hormones LOL. She's still mazaingly tiny (as you ladies saw at our last meet) she's just in 000's now. Not rolling or anything yet, just got control of her head, so she's not bobbing everywhere when i hold her...
Just relaxing, must clean the inside today-cant do anywashing, as its raining!! Nice day, but i wanted to get all my washing done today... Shouldnt have gone shopping yesterday!!
Hi Loners,
I'm in here now, so there are 3 loners!
Happy 5 months Cody!
Oscar is on my knee watching me type with one finger. He did something last night that has me thoroughly amused, but a little bit proud (like all us mummies)...he crawled...from one end of the bed to the other. Let me elaborate...not proper crawling, more like a caterpillar shimmy! And he is now rolling over to his back at will, as of yesterday - at least when he rolls over he is like an upturned beetle and can't go anywhere...yet.
Slow start to the day. Washing must now go under the house, horse is getting very wet, dog won't come out of kennel...
The rain is still falling, not heavy just constant... I bought the boys Disney/Pixar movies yesterday, so we're having a movie marathon (Got Incredibles, Bugs Life, Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc for $49 FROM EzyDvd.com (the actual store.) They'll be off to bed in about 1/2 an hour, as they were up until midnight, Xander asthma was playing up, i was on the verge of taking him to the childrens, but he pulled up ok. Kids... they'll be the death of me!!
Oooh, I never thought of it like that - my own mini Indiana Jones! Today he couldn't do it cos he's now in a cloth nappy and it's got a folded flannel in it as a booster...too much bulk to shimmy like a gazelle...or commando, or caterpillar!
This rain is GREAT! It's so lovely, especially after driving towards the western face of Mt Dandenong and noticing how brown and tinder-box dry it looks...not good...
Yay to Oscar for doing a commando crawl. Simone I want to get the incredibles too. We have Finding Nemo, Brother Bear, Shrek 2 and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles plus a few other ones as well. I also want to get Cars and Over the Hedge. LOL I wonder whos the bigger kid me or the boys hehe. Another bloody hot day here wish we could get some rain, we're up to level 4 water restrictions now.
Fingers crossed for no bush fires started by arsonists this year hey?
We should have a day out at the Puffin Billy, leav on an early morning train and go out to lakeside or something for a picnic, its so nice out there, and would be a lovely op for us to meet everyone in the family...
Amanda - Cars is great, we had a dodgy copy from my SIL which played over and over and over... had no menu, when it finished it would start again! I love it, its such a good movie. (it broke the other day, i think they boys wore it out from watching it at least 3 times a day!!
