Hello,
BBL for personals, I have been lurking, just no time for posting. Just wanted to check with RYN when her scan is?
Hi Girls,
Well we?re up in QLD on hols. I now remember why I go back home so exhausted. No one?s houses that we stay at are baby proof, so I constantly have to watch Tobi and making sure he isn?t getting into everything. And it has only been 3 nights and I?m here for a month!!
Tobi has been on a plane probably about 15 times. Sounds like we do a lot of travelling, but it is mainly just to the grandparents place and back. He goes really well on the plane and hasn?t had any major problems with his ears. Plays peekaboo with the people behind us and I try and prevent him from pulling the hair on the people in front. But most of the time I try and time the flights with a sleep. As soon as he turns 2 though, I wont be travelling so much once I have to pay for him too.
Michelle ? Glad to hear the Bella is settling into Childcare. Enjoy your time with your friend.
Kel ? Enjoy your holiday. If we get a chance I?d love to catch up when you get back. I am pretty strict with Tobi?s sleep and have no plans with dropping a sleep. I will still have him sleeping two naps right up to preschool if I can. I quite often will wake him up if he is sleeping too late and will affect the time he goes to bed at night.
Ryn- Best of luck with the scan darl. We?re all thinking of you.
Kym ? That is so cute about Monkey. She is such a cutie.
Lisa ? I can totally understand where you are coming from with not wanting to leave Harrison. Don?t feel bad about it. I don?t have the opportunity to leave Tobi very often, but I do enjoy the time off when I can.
Hope you are all well and happy
Take Care
Tash
TASHIE _ Wow, it's great that you are flying so often to visit grandparents, I bet they love it though as well! Staying for a month sounds really good though, because just think, when you get back, it's another month ticked off the calendar for when Nathan gets home! I bet Tobi is loving all the attention! LOL @ getting into everything, it's true that now is when the fun starts!
KRISTY _ No way you can be 15 weeks already! That's insane! We moved Jessica out of the nursery & into a big girls room in the December & Claudia was born in the February (of course) & we did that so she didn't think she was kicked out of her cot so the baby could sleep in it. We are all coming down with colds atm, so as soon as that disappears we must do that playdate! I'm dying to see your pg belly & give Miss Erin a big huggle!
RYN _ Ok, I have re-read & your scan is on Wednesday. What is making them check for a brain tumour? Because of the migraines you have been getting? I hope it comes back all clear for you honey. I'll be thinking of you. I'm sure Liebs will be fine!
IMPATIENT _ I was thinking of you today, because we have a bunny named Bella & Claudia has been calling out for 'Bella' all day & it made me think of you guys. How clever is Bella now! That's wonderful that she is all settled in at day care, I hope the move doesn't throw her confidence, but I'm sure she'll be a super-star. That is odd that the morning sleep stayed while the arvo one got the flick, I wonder if she'll swap them around in time to come? What are your girls like with Bella? What's the age gap? They must be like 'Mini Mummies' to her!
KEL _ WOW, so much has happened with you since I have been out of action! Going back temping is GREAT stuff. Are you still going to keep the routine of putting Jem into daycare when you're not temping? Are they ok with you doing that? How many days per week will she be going? I'm sorry, I had to LMAO about working will take your mind off food, so very YOU! LOL. How is the little princess going? She is going to love daycare & you're going to love having all the adult conversations!
LISA _ I too would love to go back to work, but I serioulsy can't. We don't 'need' me too & I just couldn't do it to the kids. I do plan on going back to study when Claudia goes off to Kindy. I'm going to become a midwife & I'll start the study when the kids are at school so it's mimimal disruption to them. MIL says by then she'll be ready to finish up working & the days where I might be at uni she can collect them from school. I'd dearly love to go back to work one day per week, but it's mad to pay for 2 kids to go into daycare just for one day's wage. I have heard from my friends in Parenting after M/C Loss how hard it is for them to let other people do things with their babies after a loss, i think it's completely normal & understandable!
ME _ I'm getting back on track from having my wisdom teeth out, weaning Claudia & recovering from the hives. I lost 5kg the week I had my teeth out & tomorrow is the day that I weigh myself, so I hope I haven't put too much of that weight back on! Claudia is going fantastic. I don't know if I mentioned before, but she has been brewing a cold for like 6 weeks now. Some days she coughs, some days her nose runs green & some days she's perfect. The last 2 days she's had a runny nose & the cough & I have noticed today that her lips are all chapped & she is wheezing, so I'm really thinking she is asthmatic like I am. If the cold blows up I will take her to the Dr but I haven't bothered so far because I know they will tell me just to let it run it's course. She is learning so much atm. She comes to me & sticks out her foot & points at her toes & says 'do dis' & wants me to do 'This Little Piggy'. Jessica is learning to do handstands & as soon as she hears the word 'handstand' she runs to the mat in the loungeroom, puts her hands down on the ground like the yoga 'down dog' & sticks one leg up in the air until she falls over! She does 'round & round the garden' on her hand. She opens & shuts her hands for the 'open shut them' song, she does twinkly fingers & can make the star for twinkle twinkle. She tries so hard to put her own shoes on & she is nearly there at stepping into her pants/jeans/pj's etc... She was soooooooo into Alan when he was home, it was wonderful to see. I went out on a shopping spree & Alan had the kids for the whole day & he said that she was just perfect for him. As usual though, with Alan being home the sleeping has gone to pot. Too much excitement, too many outings & it buggers up her sleeping. Also Jessica's. Jess kept on getting up during the night to check that Alan was still there but the night he left she went back to staying in her own bed! Weird! Claudia went back to the half hour day sleeps, but today was an hour, so that was an improvement. Ok, I have rambled, I'm going downstairs to bed!
Good night!
Another quick one from me... I will do personals when I have more time.
Jayne - Funny you should mention that because I am looking to enroll in Uni next year to do nursing/midwifery. I just feel like after everything I have been through, this is my calling. DH and I have discussed it at length, and we both agree that it will be the ideal thing for me to do, and that way, I can stay home with Harry for a few more years :)
Kel - I hope you're having a blast! Can't wait to hear about all your adventures.
Ryn - Thinking of you and sending you loads of well wishes... I am sure everything will be fine.
Hi and hugs to everyone else
Me - I started my diet again on Friday... it has taken this long for them to give me my program!!! Anyway... 3 days later and I've already lost 5kgs. I am feeling pretty happy about that! I am still detox-ing though, so my skin is looking terrible and I am feeling tired, but still feeling at least 80% better than I did before the diet.
Harry has developed a new sandwich favourite... Tuna and avocado... he loves it. Yesterday he scoffed down some Cauliflower and Fetta soup I made... then decided he didn't want dinner.. perhaps another tooth is on it's way? Because he seems to be wanting softer type things to eat.
Well, I'm off to grab some things from the shops... I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day :)
LISA _ Yep, it's something I am dying to do. I never wanted to touch nursing with a long stick until I had Jessica. No offence to those who are nurses or anything, but I just was not the type. My mum was in hospy a lot when I was a child (back operations) & I'd walk into her room & promptly collapse onto her bed. I just can't stand seeing people sick or with tubes in them. But when I had Jessica I was totally in awe of the midwifes & I decided then that it was something I wanted to do. Alan thinks it's a bad choice because I'm such a softie. I made the vet do a house call to pick up Chocky the bunny because she was so sick I couldn't pick her up myself because I was too distraught, but I really think I can pull myself together for the midwifery course. Apparently there is a new course where I can just study straight midwifery as previously you had to do nursing before-hand. Of course I will figure it all out when the time comes nearer.
WTG with the diet honey! That is great news. Can I ask how much you have to lose because 5kg in ONE week is just brilliant!!!! I was proud that this morning, of the 5kg I lost over having my teeth done I have only put on 0.5kg, I think that's a great effort! I have also been going out riding every morning on my bike with Claudia in the caravan & Jessica rides her big girls bike. We were riding for an hour today, so that's my exercise contribution!
Oh yeah, Harry has brilliant taste with tuna & avocado! That is YUMMY!!! Even better with a slice of cheese & some tomato & cucumber! Delicious!!! Weird he didn't want dinner because Claudia did exactly that the other night too, wouldn't eat a thing!
ME _ Massive WOO HOO for me. Claudia slept last night from 7:30pm - 7:45am!!!!!!!!!! I was sooooooooo rapt cos I really needed some solid sleep!
Jayne - I considered doing the midwifery only... but as I will be entering as a mature aged student, with no HSC behind me, apparently I will need to show what I have been doing since leaving school. and what relevance it has to me studying midwifery. So, as much as I don't want to do the nursing side, it will be easier for me to get in to... and I can see that it could open up a few more opportunities for me.
As for the weight I have to lose... lets just say it is HEAPS!! 5kgs is a great amount to lose... but my plan has shown for me to have used up my excess fat deposits, and to restore my metabolism, I need to get down to 57kgs... which seems forever away... but I will get there, and be getting healthier at the same time. The funny thing with Cohens is that you're not allowed to exercise if you haven't previously been exercising... so it is strange for me to do my regular thing and still lose weight.
That's awesome that you go out riding everyday!!! The girls must love it. I can't wait for summer to be able to take my kids riding along the lake here... they will love it... we wanna get a caravan thingy for Harrison too... they look like fun :)
LISA _ 57kg sounds TINY! Are you very short? I am meant to be 65kg (I think!) & that is F O R E V E R away from me too. I am really overweight as well. I look at my wedding pictures & I was 70kg & I wish I could get back there! I looked so much better than what I do now! I'm trying though. I had a gf who did so very, very, very well with Cohens. She looks absolutely amazing now. She must be about 60kg now & she would have been well over 110kg (I think again). It's a great program, so I hear! The caravan is awesome. I picked mine up 2nd hand for $50 & Claudia loves it now. At first it was hard for her to stay upright in it, the way the seats are & she would just lean on Jess, but now that Jessica has a big girls bike with training wheels she wants to ride herself & not go in the caravan. Claudia is sitting in it beautifully now, only the monkey takes her arms out the straps & pushes her face up against the flywire! It's funny. Claudia got one of those bikes with the parental handle & the harness which she also loves. If we are going to a park that's further away, I put her in the caravan but if we're going to a close by one, I put her in her bike. Only I made the mistake of taking her in little slipper socks on her bike & now she can reach the ground she dragged her foot the whole way & ripped the sock, so it's shoes now everytime we go in the bike!
Claudia did the most amazing thing tonight, she was brushing her teeth, well eating the toothpaste off the brush & asking for more & I said to her 'Brush your dollies teeth now' & she actually put the toothbrush up against the dolls mouth & rubbed it backwards & forwards! How's that for understanding! I am worried about her speech though. She is not saying a lot of the words that she was previously & while she is bantering in her own language & trying to join in the songs I sing she isn't talking anywhere near like Jessica did at that age. I'm wondering if I should take her to the CHN?
Love Jayne
Awww Claudia is so clever!!! I love when you ask them to do something and they do it... it is amazing what they understand huh?
Don't be too worried with her speech just yet... every child is different (I am sure you've heard this a million times!) and as long as she is talking in her language, and trying some words out, I am sure everything will fall into place in no time.
DH and I have looked at getting Harrison one of those bikes... all the ones we have seen that look safe, and the wheels can be turned by the parents, have been pink and girly!!! But, the other day, as we passed by a bike shop, I saw a brilliant boy-ish one in there... so I might have to pop on in and see if the wheels move by the parents, and if it does I'm gonna buy it.
I am 5'3, so I am fairly short... so this is why I am able to get down so small on my plan... I can't imagine being that small... I haven't been that size since high school!!! But, it is possible and I can do it. Cohens is a great program... the food is just normal stuff you have at home, which I liked, no shakes or pills etc... but remembering to go 5hrs between meals can be a hassle for me at times... but it makes me have my breakfast at a decent hour... because I have to stop eating by 9pm... so if I don't eat my breakfast until 9am... that means I can't have lunch until after 2pm, then I can have dinner until after 7pm... and by then I am so hungry and miserable that I would eat anything... so I try to have my breaky at 7, lunch at 12, and dinner when I am hungry, which is usually 6-6:30pm
HIi Ladies,
How are we all? I have been a moody irrationla cow this week felt like PMT times 1000!!! Lucky HUbby being a cop is used to dealing with crazy, deranged, psycho people so he has the patience of a saint. I am using the Prgnancy hormones get out of jail free card here!!!!!!
TASHIE - Cracked me up with the not getting laid comment !!! It always helps. Though remember it only takes one, proof is in my tummy now!Are you back from QLD? How was your trip.
RYN - Good luck sweet with you scan, must be very stressful for you.Make ysure you let us know how it all goes.
KYM - Yay for walking and sleeping, what a clever girl.I think the age they are at now is so awesome.
KEL - Have a great trip hon, how exciting. New job sounds great as well.
LISA - Great job hon on the weight loss.ARee the caravan things the little capsules that pull behind the bikes, they look great, would love to get one of those.
JAYNE - Erin really doesnlt say much apart from babble. She says Daddy and Mumma and Duck thats all I can understand at this stage. She talks constantly but not much taht we understand yet. I wouldn't be too worried.
About the teeth. Erin loves a toothbrush and is always shoving it in your mouth, shoudl we be using toothpaste yet? Do you gusy brush there teeth morning and night yet? havdn't thought much about it to I read Jaynes post.
Same old same old with us. Just plodding along.
KRISTY - TBH I only give Claudia the toothpaste because Jessica has it & if I don't put any on Claudia's toothbrush she knows she has missed out & has a tanty over it. LOL. I'm really not sure if the toothpaste is necessary at this age, I think it's more the brushing that is important. I think Jessica was about 2 when we started putting toothpaste on her brush. Oh yeah, are you showing yet & are you finding out what colour you're having? Also, are you going to Murdoch. I'd go & have a baby just to stay at that hospy again. Hehehe, I loved it! It's like a hotel but better because you get fed without having to ring for room service! LOL.
LISA _ Yeah I hear you! I was skinniest when I was at school then, since then I'm like an ever-expanding whale. LOL. There is a really cool red & black bike that is at Target (was advertised about 2-3 weeks ago), I'm not sure if it's the same in all states, but it's the same one as Claudia's but red & black. I only know because my sister is getting one for my nephews birthday. Claudia's is orange, yellow & aqua & it's quite girly, I agree. Claudia loves the bike but the only prob is she gets excited & jiggles the handles so it goes off course. Both of us have dual use of the steering & sometimes she has me nearly side-stepping to make it go straight! LOL.
ME _ I'm really jacked. I was outside hanging washing & the electrician rang to come & install my lights, but he never bothered his backside to ring my mobile & I didn't hear the home phone & so he went over to another job, only about 2 suburbs away & when I rang him back he said he can't come til next week now. I"m really annoyed. I wanted the lights up NOW. I told him not to worry, I'd find somebody else. Would you be annoyed?
Love Jayne xox
Jayne & Lisa - I hear you loud and clear about the weight lose. I was 54kg at school and put on 35kg in my first year of Uni and never been able to shift it. I would love to get down to 60kg before DH gets home and before I get fat again with bub number 2. The shakes are going well. They taste good and I'm not getting hungry, just constipated (not as bad as when I was pregnant though!!). It is hard to stick to it when on holidays though. I went to a friends place for dinner last night and they had pizza for tea and it wasn't even awesome tasting pizza. Such a waste of calories.
Jayne & Kristy - Tobi isn't saying many words either, but you can't shut him up. I have been a bit worried about it, but he seems a bit slower in all of his development, so I think if he gets to 18months and still not saying much, then I will worry. Like your girls, Tobi does seem to understand a lot. The other night we were at a friends place and he was drawing. Pulling out a crayon out of the box and putting it back before he took out another. It was very cute and then he tried to put the lid back on. I told him to use two hands, as it will be easier to put on and he did and got the lid back on.
Jayne & Kristy - They say that you shouldn't use toothpaste until 2 years as they swallow it instead of spitting and too much fluoride for kids can be dangerous. And you should use kid toothpaste until 6 years. I use it every now and then with Tobi. I know that he likes cleaning his teeth with toothpaste better. We only get him to brush (munch on the toothbrush) once a day.
Jayne - I would be jacked too about electrician. I have been having so much trouble getting work done for our unit in Brisbane. No one seems to do a good job anymore or even wants the work. Getting quotes is such a pain.I am wasting so much money on phone calls ringing people that never show up.
Kel & Jayne - Tobi has had a cold now for ages too. Going on 7 weeks. I took him to the doctor as I thought he could be allergic to something but they wont do tests until he turns two. He said to give Tobi some antihistamine. But then a friend said that antihistamines can be really dangerous for under 2years. What do I do? Go by my doctor or by my friend's Dad who is also a doctor? Anyway, I am thinking it could be milk as it started when I stopped breast feeding and put Tobi on more cows milk. But if it only gives him a snotty nose, then I am not going to worry too much. He seems happy and healthy otherwise. What are you guys doing to clear up the nose's in your household?
Ryn - I hope the scan goes well today and don't stress about Liebs, he'll be fine.
Kristy - Being pregnant is the best excuse to get cranky and say all the things you wouldn't normally say. Take advantage and fix all the things you don't like at home or with other people!!!
Lisa - We have one of those caravans too. They are awesome. Tobi loves it. But his helmet doesn't sit on properly and he tries to pull it off a lot. So before a bike ride we have to get him used to it for hour or so first.
My nephew - Well I got to babysit my nephew for a day and I think I have worked out some of their problems for them and Harrison seems a lot happier and sleeping better, which is fantastic. Maybe I should be a midwife too. I would love to become one or a child health nurse, but I wouldn't like the hours. I am thinking of doing financial planning, bank hours seem good to me!!
Take Care everyone. That is enough from me for today. xxx
Tobi - So far this holidays
* Eaten Cat Food
* Broke 1 plate and 1 cup
* Got behind TV cabinet and I couldn't get him out
* Got his fingers stuck in the draws heaps of times
* Chased the cat around as much as she will let him
* Drawn all over grandmas printer (only with pencil luckily)
And that's not including all the times that I have put the books back on the bookshelf, DVDs away, stuff back in cupboards and picked up toys from one end of the house to the other.
He also loves the front loader washing machine. He sat and watched his toys go round and round for ages the other day. It was very cute
hello!
Just a quick note to let you all know i'm still here! lol. Brendan has 8 teeth now :D And a reall dribbly monster!!
Not much else happening.
take care!
Hi Girls,
JAYNE - I am going to Murdoch again with this bub. I had a great experience there last time, and didn't want to leave. I think I stayed 6 nights last time but when I left Erin was feeling well, I was feeling good and relaxed so that is why we pay the big health insurance bucks I think!! I had Dr Anna Holmes again who I just adored last time. I am going the surprise at the end with blue or pink. Though tempting I will bethrilled with whatever I am blessed with. I am one of 2 girls so it would be great for Erin to have a sister and on the otehr hand I would be great to have a little boy bundle.
TASH - That is pretty much what I am doing with Erin and her teeth. She loves her toothbrush and copies me when I am brushing my teeth. She is really starting the copying thing she was running around today with teh dustpan and brush sweeping the floor, just got to teach her how to work the vacume cleaner!!!
SAL - Hey Hon, how is everthing going since the move? Great to hear from you.
RYN - Thinking of you and hoping everything goes ok with the scan today.
Hi to all everyone else!!!
Hello...
two days in a row!! I'm on here that is
Kristy, everything has been great. I'm so much more relaxed and happy.... but i miss the internet! We only have a 3 month lease, so it's not worth setting up properly. We are hoping we'll have another house lined up which will be more permanent. DP's work has a house, but atm another worker is living in, but he's trashing it and they aren't ahppy with him, so hopefully we can move in there. (i know thats not nicce hoping someone else would get kicked out of a house, but he's a single guy and we are a family!)
I'm going off to Midland for a few hours, while mum looks after Brendan! yay!
Take care everyone :)
Hi everyone :)
Just a quick one to say hi... I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend.
Today I baked ANZAC biscuits for my family... the loved them. I have been cooking up a storm over the last few days... last night I made pork in plumb sauce which was all sticky and gooey and they loved it, served with home made fried rice... then I cooked up a huge omelette this morning, DH had black pudding and I made raspberry smoothies () and I now have a sausage casserole cooking for tonight, and when that is done, I am going to cook up a pea and ham soup!!! lol... I guess when I am on a diet, all I wanna do is cook.
Harrison loved black pudding.. I've never had it before... hmmm.
I have now been back on my diet for 1 week, and I weighed myself today and I have lost 6.6kgs and 15.5cms off my body... I am loving this result!!! Yay.
Well... I am now going to bake a cake... lol... my house smells great atm!
I hope you all have a great weekend :)
LISA _ Where's my dinner invite? I don't like pork, but it sounded good anyway. What exactly is black pudding? Isn't it something really disgusting? I think the raspberry smoothie sounded much better to me! LOL. Oh wow, what type of cake are you baking? I love making desserts, but I never seem to have the time to make main meals, I have some great recipes & I really should start trying. I saw a great one for chicken & coconut stirfry that sounds good! Anzac biscuits sound yummy, I thought about making them today as well. I will do that when brat-bags is asleep! LOL.
SAL _ We are going to Midland on Sunday for SIl's birthday (I think). Tell us all about your little shopping adventure. How is the little man going? I bet he is spoiled rotten with Nanna.
KRISTY _ Oh you're a star. I LOVE the surprises. I didn't know what either of mine were, but I was convinced they were both boys. LOL. I think it's mint not knowing, but each to their own. I can understand why people find out what they're having. I'd stay at Murdoch for the first 6 months if I could. It's so beautiful in there & the food! OH my, don't get me started on the food. I love the candlelit dinners that they do there for the parents as well.
TASH _ I don't know about the antihistamine, I really don't. I think that they were working well for Kel with Jemima though? Also, the reason I haven't taken Claudia to the Dr with her cold/cough is because I don't think they'd give her anything either. She is happy & well, just barks like a dog when she coughs. This morning her nose is green though, so if it's like that tomrrow I'll get her to the Dr.
ME _ Going now to organise the kids lunch & then make some anzac biscuits!
Love Jayne xox
Oh Jayne... the ANZAC bickies that I made were soft ones too... and my whole kitchen smells butter scotch-ish... yummo. I just had salt, pepper and chili calamari salad for lunch and it was sooooooooo good!
Black pudding is a sausage... it is made from barley, blood, heart and some other stuff... it is very dark when it is cooked... it kinda reminded me of beef and red wine sausages DH and I have bought before... Harrison loved it, as did Madeleine... I will have to try it when I am off my diet.
I have decided that I am now going to cook raspberry and white chocolate friands... I havd so much left over raspberries from this morning, so I might as well do something with them... though the older kids are begging me for french toast with raspberry topping... so who knows. Oh... I forgot to mention that I made a choc pudding in my slow cooker last night, from scratch and DH and the kids looooooved it. All this food, and yet I still don't feel like I am missing out... if I keep cooking like this, DH and the kids will need to lose weight!!! lol. I guess it is because it is cold, and DH has a cold, as does Madeleine, so I am trying to get some warming foods into them.
Good Afternoon!
happy Anzac Day!!
Brendan is doing really well. He is getting a lil more adventurous now and can stand for around 5-10secs by himself :D I'm soooo Proud! He has a Paed appt in less than 2 weeks, so I know they are going to be happy with him. He is also bringing his hands together now, but not yet clapping. It shouldn't be too far off I dont think!
My shopping adventure was quick. I forgiot about today being a public holiday and that it was school hols. The place was packed out!! I got what I wanted and got out again!!
Take care everyone :)
LISA _  I think I will take a big PASS on the black pudding. Yuck. But good for you guys if you like it. Oh wow, you are the bomb. I can't believe you're makign all this stuff & not eating it! I made some anzac bikkies & they were soft, then my sister came over & made me make another batch & she went out somewhere & I got busy playing with my nephew & forget them & the turned out hard. But that's how my sister likes them, so it worked out all around! LOL. Bugger with the colds, they just don't seem to go away just lately.
SAL _ I can't believe that Midland is open. Nothing in Rockingham is open, lucky for me I didn't attempt to go food shopping, will have to do that tomorrow. I had to go to the service station to get some milk because my cupboards are so bare!
ME _ I am just upstairs while Jessica cleans the wall in the loft. She drew a big smiley face on the loft wall that was about 1 metre square. Bad girl she is. The bad thing is that she is loving cleaning it off. LOL.
Love Jayne
Afternoon!
How is everyone?
I have some very exciting news... Brendan is clapping!!! I have uploaded a video if anyone is interested, it's not that great quality though. lol.
http://video.google.com.au/videoplay...20335336573840
Hope all is well
take care
Oh crap, I get logged on and my vision blurs again...
No results from last week's scan yet. Thinking of you all and all the toddlers. Liebs had his last day at hospital nursery today and they sent him home early ruddy place. He has learnt how to programme the washing machine/dryer and turn it on, so his nappies had an odd wash after their normal one at the weekend.
Best be off and rest my eyes, I hate this! Love to you all and I Hope to be better soon so I can keep chatting.
Hiya Ryn!
We all hope you're better soon too.
Thinking of you.
Guess what? I'm Grandma Rabbit again. 4 baby bunnies born this morning to our Bella. It's her first litter & unfortunately one of the 4 was stillborn. Very upsetting for me to have to take care of, but as long as the other 3 are healthy, that's the main thing. They are sooooooo freaking ugly that they are cute! LOL. They are about 2 days overdue though & their skin a bit wrinkly, hope they go ok!
HI Lovely Ladies,
Jayne - My goodness what a fertile little house you have got at the moment, becareful if its not just bunnies!!;)
Ryn - Hope you get your results back soon and that your back feeling 100% real soon.
Sal - Clever Brendan he is doing so well. Where in Perth are you living now?
Lisa - or should I say chef extroidinare. very impressed with your culinary excellence!!!
Not much happening here girls. I started Prego water aerobics last week which I love. Heated hydrotherapy pool and we spend the last 15 mins lying back with the lights off and soft music on floating with a head rest and pool noodles and you take turn towing each oterh around the pool. So relaxing came home feeling like I was floating.Booked in for my 19 week scan in 2 weeks so the weeks are flying by.
Erin is starting to winge so better go.
Hi girls.
I will try and get on here atleast once a day as it is so hard to catch up on everyone!
Kristy! OMG your pregnancy is flying by!! Your almost catching me! I am almost 31 weeks now. We are having another boy....
Well Jett is sick yet again, he is always sick with something!! I cant wrap him up in cotton wool either. He has vomiting and dihorrea, I think he may be teething.
He is saying a few words, Mum, Dad, Ta, bird, light.... the bird and light arnt clear but i know what they are....
Best be off,
Bye for now!
Hi girls,
Jayne - Wow, they really do mean that bunnies mate like crazy. I hope you sell them as quickly as you did last time. Has Jess called them all the same name again?
Lisa - I am very impressed on your cooking abilities and willpower. You give me inspiration to stay good and not eat all the yummy foods that come my way while on holidays. Keep up the good work.
Kym - Hows everything going darl? Haven't heard from you in ages.
Kristy - Water aerobics sounds fantastic.
Ryn - Hope you get some answers soon. Take Care ok
Sally - Way to go Brendan on the clapping. He is such a cute boy. How is the new place going and living with DP again? Its good to see you on here lots even though you don't have the net at home.
Tobi - Has worked out how to undo zips, so now we have even more things that he can get into.
Hi all:hello: still here!
Just busy with the usual....
Sorry Tash, I am a bad friend.... have been meaning to reply to your email or at least text (or here's a novel thought - I should pick up the phone for a proper chat!!!) Hope QLD is treating you well and that Tobi is being less destructive!
Gotta be quick...
Ryn, hope you will be ok soon, thinking of you.
Lisa, you sound like a chef extraordinaire!! Even though I don't like black pudding, i admire you for making it from scratch and it must be really good for bubs with all that iron etc...
Scorpiomum, wow, not long now! Got any names picked or are they secret??
Sal, congrats on the clapping (Brendan that is - I assume you learnt a while ago!!)
Kristy and Tash, Monkey has just started copying chores as well - sweeping seems to be her favourite - too cute isn't it!
And I know this was ages ago... but you guys were talking about when you put on weight.... Tash, I was like you.... I put on around 20kg in 12 months in my 1st yr at uni too!! Methinks I may have drunk a little too much alcohol and ate a little too much college food!!!
Newsflash from Monkeyland: She has got a tooth!!!!!:hooray: all been a bit slow really, 8 days since the gum started to pit and separate and you can only just actually see it! Caused her a bit of grief, but not too bad.
Oh and in other news... the self-sleeping WAS a phase! Oh well, we think it may be a bit to do with teething and she's still easy to settle, but we haven't been able to put her down awake for a few days..... lucky i didn't get too excited!
And lastly (then I really do have to go to bed!) Monkey weaned herself last week too.... what a big month: walking, weaning, teeth all at once! I wasn't even as sad as I thought I might be; actually my overwhelming feeling was one of being proud of her..... bit weird, but I think I'm just proud that she is growing up I guess....
Love to you all.
KYM _ WTG Monkey! I'm not surprised the self-settling fell by the wayside when she was learning so many new things! Walking is the ultimate & thank goodness for some chompers!!! Food will have a whole new meaning now! LOL. Oh wow with the weaning as well! That's incredible! What a clever girl!
TASH _ This litter of Bunnies is called 'The Fairy Tots'. So VERY Jessica. They seem to be going well. I was worried that Bella had them so quickly, she didn't pull much fur (they pull fur from their bellies to create warmth for the kits as they are born naked) & I thought they would end up being cold, but overnight she seemed to have realised & this morning they had fur underneath & on top of them. So they are very clever little animals indeedy! I have ended up advertising 3 of the remaining bunnies from our first litter that Chocky had. Two were given away to friends, one went last night & the other is going on Saturday. Only because I had $300 in vet bills to try & recoup & the people who were sooooo desperate for a bunny never called to come around & pick one out. So I had advertised them for tomorrow as hand-reared - which they are & so we will see if they go. Apparently they are hard to come by at the moment - this particular breed & I contacted another rabbit breeder I know who is very well known & she said she has a list of 30 names on her books of people waiting for bunnies. So I am hoping they sell tomorrow & being hand-reared I have put a bigger price tag on them so I think that only people who are going to really want them will pay that money for them. Oh wow, this is all about bunnies! LOL. How is Tobes? Are you still in Qld?
SCORPIOMUM _ How is Jett today? Do you think it's a tummy bug rather than just teeth? He sounds pretty unwell. I hope he is much better today!
KRISTY _ LOL smarty pants! There is definitely no human-loving happening in this house! Alan has been gone almost 2 weeks now! Gosh, don't wish that nightmare onto me! I had 3 female breeding bunnies, but after the loss of Chocky, I'm down to 2, I will be getting another doe when the babies from Chocky's litter leave home. I'm so glad you're going back to Murdoch! I love that place! Hopefully one day when I'm a midwife I will work there! It's just beautiful. I had many of the same midwives with Claudia that I had with Jessica & they remembered me which was really touching. Or could be because Jessica was 'THAT' baby who screamed the freaking corridor down all night long! No lie! LOL.
ME _ Busy day today, Jess went back to swimming lessons & gymnastics & we had dinner at my In-Laws. Claudia is sleeping better again which is great all around!
Love Jayne
Kym - Yay for Monkey getting a tooth!!! Look out though, Harrison was a later teether too and he is about to break #3 through with 4,5,6 &7 very very close by.... seems like they're all trying to come out at once... nights here have not been pleasant for our little man.
I will try to do personals later... Madeleine is home with a sore hip, she is walking around like an old lady... she can't remember falling on it though... maybe she slept in an awkward position or something? Anyway... I've gotta get some washing done... I wish the sun would come out so I don't have to continuously use the drier.
LISA _ How is Madeline's hip now?
RYN _ How did your scan go?
I keep forgetting to ask, has anybody started thinking about big boy/girl bedrooms? Like toddler bed, or single beds?
I have just started shopping for bits & pieces for Claudia's big girls room. I'm going to do a seahorse & starfish theme. Our house is very beach orientated & Jessica has a mermaid bedroom so I wanted to do something similar. I have just won on ebay a seahorse lamp & my gf Caddie is going to make some seahorse & starfish canvases.
Just wondering if anybody else is thinking that far ahead yet either? I'm not planning until re-doing the nursery, until she is probably 2.
Loves!
Hello!
Kristy, I'm in Northam, about 90kms east of Perth on the Great Eastern Highway. Your pregnancy really is flying by! :D
Scorpiomum, 31 weeks is awesome! well done :D not all that long to go now.
Tashie, things are going ok. he is hardly ever home. he goes to work at 11am and gets home around 1am. They have started seeding, so the money is really good, but it's hard not having him there aty night, thats when i need the help with Brendan!!!
Jayne, woohoo for bunnies :D I haven't really given beds much thought. Brendan is in his own room now as the master bedroom in our new place is far too small. I've seen these really cool beds though, race cars and things! I just cant wait... well i can but you know what i mean!! :D
Not alot esle happening. Brendan has his 1yr corrected check on wednesday. He'll be 1 yr corrected on Monday!! Hopefully they can fix his tongue tie there and not give us another referral. I just want it fixed, so he can catch up again!!
Take care all :)
Hi everyone,
I am just waiting for dinner to finish cooking so I thought I would pop in and say hi.
Jayne - Madeleine's hip is ok now... thanks for asking. As for rooms, we're in a 3 bedroom house atm, and Harrison still shares with us... though his part of the room is done up in Disney's Cars... he has Cars everything in his cot, and he has the stick arounds over the walls... He is seriously obsessed with anything to do with cars and trucks... so when we get into a 4 bedroom house we will most likely do his room up as something to do with cars and trucks.
Things have been fairly quiet here.... Harrison is teething so badly at the moment... it seems like all his teeth are coming through at once... he wakes during the night because they're obviously bothering him, so we give him some bonjela and put him in with us. Poor little guy. I had James home from school today, his favourite Music teacher passed away on Wednesday, and the school found out yesterday... James was really upset by it too, and was meant to have music with her today so wanted to stay home... I felt so bad for him :(
Back to the dinner.. kids are arguing over Guitar hero... argh!!!!
Lisa, poor Harrison...... I have heard people echo what you said about when they get teeth late they all come at once - looks like thats what it is for you guys...... Monkey on the other hand is taking her sweet time with this 1st one and none others on horizon at moment. We've been doing the same thing..... when she wakes we assess how bad it is and often give Hylands teething tabs +/- bonjela and occ. if really bad some panadol and she comes in with us. And very sad about teacher passing away....
Sal, Yay for Brendan going for 1yr check! I'd be interested to know if they do a "standardised" assessment - at Westmead we use the "Bayley's" for the 1yr olds. I'm sure they'll all be impressed! Good luck with getting the outcome you want for the tongue-tie....
Jayne, you are WAY too organised thinking about room themes!!! But I'd wager a bet there's a certain Brisbanite who's right there with you with toddler room plans!!! I'm sure she'll be back from NZ to talk themes with you soon (Hi Kel!!) :D
And Jayne, you're right about learning so many things... 14 months has been big for Monkey with walking, weaning and 1st tooth - wow!
Got work tomorrow - bit sick of the Sat thing really..... DH and I have tried to look at options for me to do another week day so we had our full wkends back together.... but trying to coordinate everything with job/childcare/his timetable etc.... just isn't going to happen. Oh well, I know I shouldn't be so greedy, but it makes it really hard to fit in "house stuff" plus a social life on Sundays....
Hope everyone else is well. 'night 'night
KYM _ I had to admit, when I was posting about bedroom themes, I was thinking, I should have left that question until Kel comes back! I'm just doing what I did with Jessica & that's just buying little accessories here & there so when we find the furniture we want & then do up the bedroom, everything is complete. Working on Sat's is totally understandable & it must be hard coordinating your weekends around that.
LISA _ OMG that is terrible about James' music teacher. Was it an accident or was she ill? I'm so sorry to hear that. Harrison is such a boy with all the cars, trucks stuff! My cousins little boy is mad on cars as well. Makes birthday presents easy for him! LOL. Oh wow, I didn't realise that you still had Harrison in with you, I guess that makes night time wake-ups pretty easy when he is right there. Do you think he'll 'miss' you guys when you go into a 4 bedroom house & he has his own room?
SAL _ Alan's grandparents are in Kellerberrin, maybe next time we go up that way I should stop in & say hello on the way! I hope that Brendan passes his appointment with flying colours. Make sure you let us know how he goes!
Hope you are all going great & have big weekends planned!
Love Jayne xox
