hugest decision of life at the moment to make
do i take cushy laidback order picking job where i get to wear jeans and be home by 3 on thurs and lunchtime friday
or do i take (if offered) run off my feet 3 days a week home at 4.30pm job more money more responsibility and definately more stress
i am so serious about the tupperware thing too! the tupperware dude is coming to my house tomorrow!!!
and jayney i am SERIOUS about doing a party for you!!! the delivery i had not thought of but leave that bit with me too.....
i am dead serious about coming and visiting you when alan goes away again it will be a weekend and home by tuesday night so that i can take jem to swimming on wednesday - which by the way is the OTHER advantage of getting order picking job i am home on wednesday to take jem to swimming and have pub lunch so my life would be:
Monday - bodypump at gym with my friend amanda
Tuesday - mothers group if i want, and another friend is mentioning regular playdate on a tuesday or nothing on a tuesday if i dont want just hang with my baby girl
Wednesday - swimming lessons and pub lunch
Thursday - early start pick organic food orders with friendly people no stress finish by 3pm maybe clean some of house or something and go and get girl from daycare
friday - earlier start but home by lunchtime to get girl and play for afternoon OR have a break in afternoon and go and get her

Tuesday - try not to do too much
wednesday - work til 4.30
thurs - work til 4.30
friday work til 4.30
for engineers doing ALL their admin and invoicing and everything tasks i think about 8 guys and then one day a fortnight looking after the service team for a HUGE electrical transformer business

jayne - i cant STOP jem kicking her legs and splashing at swimming lessons i get heaps wet and so does everyoneelse which is so funny

tonight benji and i bought me a new chest of drawers - it is so nice and it will declutter my bedroom, at the moment i am working on decluttering in an attempt to destress me a little......
and i bought jem a food set... plastic eggs, sauasages, frypans, saucepans, capsicum etc etc i hope she loves it
oh and i bought her a beaded necklace a long one like one of her little friends have she loves it heaps whenshe is over so i think she will

am also going to get her a 6v ride on car and a trampolrline with a net around it as her friend has a tramp and she thought it was the COOLEST thing ever! so my 2 days at home with her will be heaps of fun - especially if we get the tramp as i will have a go on that!

Hi Girls,

I did a bit of thinking about tupperware and decided I don't think its for me,It just seems like it would be too hard with hubbys police shifts as often we don't know till 2 weeks before and then he often has to work overtime. Also I think I want to enjoy these last months with Erin before number 2 comes and I am run off my feet. Again as you mentioned too Jayne I will hopefully be able to breastfeed again so don't want to be expressing all the time.

KEL - Come and visit me as well!!!!! Us WA girls could show you a real good time!! Hard decision about the job hon. I think if you are wanting to de stress a bit and do the tupperware maybe the shorter hours may be more suitable. Hard decision though I'm sure you would be a star at either. Yay for the de cluttering. I bought a book about it a few weeks ago. Started doing a drawer or shelf at a time. Though everytime I clean the tupperware out it comes again.

JAYNE - Erin is exactley the same at swimming too busy laughing and splashing around to do anything like kicking. We have water saftey day tomorrow at swimming so she has to wear her pjs over her bathers!!!

Well hubby is on nightshift so quiet night at my place, Erin has learnt to blow kisses now she was at the stairs blowing kisses to Julian as he was off to work. Very cute!!!

it sucks that i NEEED to destress at the moment, coz who knows if and when that kind of nearby job will come up again - still jumping ahead of myself though am hoping (secretly) that i DONT get offered the 3 day a week job so i can take the 2 day a week job.... oh well i should know by today

kristy - do you have someone that can babysit? if so you just be strict in the days that you offer to do tupperware parties and fit people in around you! that is the beauty of your own business you do it when you want to - get the hectic bit out of the way now.... although lookihng at the fact you are due in OCTOBER is kinda scary - that not THAT long away
when is erin going into a big girl bed?? or are you going to buy another cot? did erin sleep in a bassinette?

am so ****ed off that it is like i CANT get pregnant now... after 15 months of TRYING.... damn it except i get so anxious and stressed out at the moment randomly i dont think getting pregnant right now would be safe for anyone... ho hum

oh and WHEN i get my butt over to WA it is going to be SO much fun.... jemima and the girls will have a ball

Gee... I can rarely find the time now to post!
I have been run off my feet doing nothing lol... I have just been doing the usual me type stuff but it has suddenly become so time consuming.
I'm going well on my diet... been introducing things I haven't had before so that's makes a nice change... this morning I had yogurt with paw paw for breakfast.
Harry is well... He started to say "birdie" today so that was cute... he also says "Pup, woof woof" which is soooooooo funny... whenever he see's a dog, or a pic of a dog or one on TV, he does his little woof woof bark at them and then cracks up laughing! It's the cutest thing!

Ok... Someone has gotta do tupperware... I will definitely order some... my friend used to sell it, and she would hold a party and then ask me if there was anything I wanted to buy, which sometimes helped the host out with getting extra stuff which is always a good thing.
Kel - If I were you, I'd probably take the less stressful job... especially if the non return of AF is due to stress... but then again, I don't know how you take stress... I have a fairly high tolerance to stress and can actually find stressful jobs to be the best thing for me (except when pregnant of course)
Jayne - Thanks for your PM hun... sorry I haven't replied yet... I will PM you soon though :) I hope Jess and Claudia are both doing fantastic :)
Kristy - Ohhhh Erin is sooooooo cute!!! I would love for Harry to blow kisses... he does this funny little lip-smacking thing which both Rob and I reckon is him blowing kisses :) I bet your DH was so happy to get the beautiful kisses before work. Also, thanks for the McCormick recommendations... I will have to try some for my family... I am addicted to slow cooking, especially whilst on my diet... it makes life so much easier!
Peg - I hope your jaw is feeling better hun... my poor brother got his bottom wisdom teeth removed a few weeks ago, and he was away visiting my Mum when he got them removed... he showed me the pics and his jaw was JUGE! Ouchy. I hope princess flutterby is well... big hugs to her :)
Tash - I hope Tobi had a good time with his little buddy the other day and that he is feeling much better now :)

Gee I'm sorry. I forgot to congratulate you on your pregnancy. I've read the last 2 pages and it didn't click to me until now that I didn't say anything. Congrats darl, and good luck. Did you get a new pram? I personally think the Phil&Teds are great. Side by side or front and back are so awkward to do shopping etc. And if you only have number 2 and Erin is at home or being minded by someone, you can unclip the second seat to make it easier. Although it does cost a bit. My friend is due in about 8 weeks, and her P&T cost about $700. Yeeeesh but its worth it. My friend doesn't drive so it would be much easier for her if she takes a train or bus. Good luck. I'm sure you've already talked to your DH about cots and prams and carseats etc so ignore me if necessary lol. Congrats again.

I'm sorry that you are having a hard time TTC. Perhaps you could take something herbal. Blackmores make "Conceive Well" and my friend mentioned that there's one for the man to take. Have you tried remedial massage or acupuncture? I've heard that acupuncture can really help to conceive. Maybe its better to not focus on TTC but focus on de-stressing and TTC will be easier if you focus on you rather than getting pregnant. I really hope I don't sound callous, I guess I don't really know what you are going through. I've never experienced it myself. I hope that it will work out soon.

Yeah my jaw is feeling much better. The Panafen (ibuprofen/codeine) is really helping. It doesn't hurt that much but after a while the ache can get pretty bad. Last night it was hurting a lot, but some painkillers and an icepack sorted it so I could get to sleep.


No I don't have a slow cooker, but that's ok. I don't make many casseroles anyway. I find a casserole dish is quite versatile. I can use it to make self-saucing puddings, casseroles, potato or pasta bakes, whereas a slow cooker can make soups and stews. Plus I'm on a tighter budget than most of you.

My income including child support is under $900 a fortnight. So rent $220/fn, I donate to the UN refugee fund $30 a month, $49 for phone a month, $50 for internet a month, $150 goes into savings a fortnight, $10 goes into DD's savings weekly, $40 a week to my mum (she's on a much smaller pension than me and I can afford to spare some), $7.50 a week for train tickets to get DD from her father and food, which I get things periodically rather than same time each week. Some things last longer, some things I need to get often, you know how it is.

Altogether I get $1988 a month, and my expenses total $1059 before buying food. So that leaves $929 for food and anything else. Like clothes or books or entertainment or takeaway or whatever. Estimate $80 a week for food, leaving $609 a month to do whatever. Hmm, I'm good at budgeting. So maybe I can afford to buy appliances or maybe even Tupperware! But I'm trying to be thrifty because within 3-18 months I'll need furniture and all sorts for my new house (when I get one, I'm on several waiting lists). I have a kettle, toaster etc for the kitchen, but there's a lot more I need. DD's going to be going into size 2 in 3 months or less, so I'll have to buy spring clothes for her

Plus I do owe myself about $2000 into my savings, I borrowed when my funds got low. And I borrowed another $500 from my savings Dad is holding for me. Buying a laptop, a tv, a dvd player, and many other things, over time adds up lol. But I've never been in debt and I never allow myself to get anywhere near running out of money.

I'm so glad that I don't have a car. That would make me very broke! I don't know how you all manage. I guess your monthly incomes are more than mine, yet mortgage payments or mainstream rents do take up a big chunk of your incomes. I'm so proud of myself that my father brought me up to budget well. My ex was a bit controlling with finances. He'd make me and himself account for every dollar on a spreadsheet. And we'd split the outgoing costs 50/50 yet he never took into account that he earnt more than me. So I'd end up paying more percentage of my income than him. Not fair. I don't have to deal with him anymore.

HOPEFULLY destressing does work with regards to getting AF back.... but wont know if that is the only cause until 2 weeks blood tests... destresssing in general is going to be a good thing anyway - and these drugs doc has given me may actually be a good thing too
but unfortunately pegasus a vitamin is not going to do the trick.....

lisa - yep usually a stressful job and me go hand in hand which is why i find it strange i dont want it at the moment, have also JUST realised that the office job is working for a boring industry so i have no intention of EVER learning more about the product they sell whereas the other 2 day a week job is already interesting it is packing organic fruit and veges and i have learnt what to look for in good fruit and stuff already and the different kinds and stuff so eating that stuff has got to be good for me
and i will sell tupperware and i will definately sell to you! and if i ever have parties and no body buys the cheap thing for being at the party i will let u know and u can buy one if you want (this month it is kungfu panda snack cups they look fun)

pegasus - you do seem like u know how to budget, you will have your savings back in no time! i am about to accept a job that is going to pay a lot less than i thought i was 'going back to work' for but have kept reminding myself that money was not the reason i am going to work

oh yeah - the new MAIN reason why i am going to take the 2 day a week job - and this is only silly to people that do not have kids........... so i can take jem to swimming lessons on wednesdays
and since friday is a half day i can decide if i rush and pick her up or take some time out - the time out has been really important the last couple of weeks i have totally wasted it but it has helped me but then i do find i get extra stressed or frustrated when she is home which is bad bad bad

lisa - jemima does all of the different kids of kisses, all jemima's skills are very impractical hehehehehe she does the mwah noise like she is french when she is kissing on the cheek she does the mwah noise when she blows kisses, she is all kisses and cuddles

do all the babies like to OPEN your eyes for you?? i can hear her coming coz she says bah bah and then she opens my eyelids with her fingers - i am LOVING peekaboo it is so so cute she looks down and then when she looks up she wants me to be all super duper surprised that she is there - it is cute as

carebear was sending emails today, i couldnt find jem and she had teddy propt up on the office chair and was helping him use the keyboard, then she was trying to put himin the highchair and feed him something.... i keep saying he but i just put beads around his neck

have just started the planning for my WA trip.... first step is to 'plant the seed' so i have told benji that late late june or early julyish i want to visit jayney

tupperware dude came today and i am going to join up, if i have my first party before end of financial year he will personally give me some extra bits of tupperware i want to i will work it all out to fit in with that... i want and for some reason have never bought the illusion ****tail glasses and i love all the illusions range, the colours are awesome...... i am going to try and get as much of that for the least amount so at least when i stop selling tupperware i have some cool stuff to show for it.

i am going to visit my friend on sunday that sells tupperware AND enjo and i will see about buying some of her kit cheap which means when i get my kit i can save it up for other peoples orders so i make more more more money (and fund impromtu trips to WA)

jemima didnt have a good day at daycare today apparently becuase carebear didnt come... she usually apparently goes and finds him when she is unsettled and cuddles up to him and is ok but he wasnt there so she was sad, i wish they had rung me and i would have either gone and got her or brought him in to her.... i am not supposed to lift her coz of my arm,huge inch or so wound! gross but dont want to pop it open so we walked all the way home together

KEL AGAIN _ As with the budget. I have no concept of the word! I am completely & utterly clueless when it comes to money. We could have & should have had our mortgage completely paid off by now, but because money burns holes in my pockets, we don't. I can't help it if I like nice things though! :rolleyes: I will admit & say, that since Alan has been working away & I have been paying all the bills & seeing how much money I spend on bits & pieces, I have pulled my head in considerably. Also, Alan has promised me a big super-duper 8 week trip to America when we pay the mortgage off PLUS a brand spanker, only has 3km on the clock car. So I am trying hard & we are going better than ever. & Jessica's money is almost replaced in her account that Daddy invested on shares for her & failed miserably! LOL.

PEG _ You sound like a new woman hun & very positive about yourself. You are going places & I'm glad to hear it. Are you working? Are we allowed to say her name or do we have a code name to use?

ME _ If I wasn't certain before, now I am - I am NEVER having any more kids. I looked after my nephew today while my sister worked & no, it wasn't bad & no, they didn't stress me out, but holy cow it was hard work! For the first hour Claudy was soooooo jacked off that he was here. He likes to roll her highchair backwards & forwards & she flipped her lid that bad that she screamed until I put her into her highchair & she sat there for 30 minutes just to prove a point! Also, she plonked herself onto my lap everytime I sat on the floor JIC Brock was going to come for a snuggle. She was a total & utter little monster! After a while she was ok with it but my goodness, the first hour she had me in a sweat! Jess was at daycare & I think Claudy was annoyed that the only day she has me to herself & Brock was there. It started as soon as my sis put his baby bag into Claudy's room. PMSL. I am a super-star in the making though & put them to bed at the same time this arvo!

Have a busy day tomorrow, Jess is having a playdate at her besties place while I grocery shop with Claudy & then we are off to the airport to get Alan & then we have a 50th birthday party at a restaurant in Mandurah. I'm going to be stuffed & of course having not seen Alan for 6w, the party won't stop when we get home :lol: I can't believe Alan is home tomorrow. It's gone so fast. Jessica is soooooo excited, she didn't even argue about going to bed tonight. & BTW she is LOVING daycare. She actually squealed with excitement when we pulled in there today! She said to me today 'thank you mummy for taking me to daycare, I have so much fun with the other kids'. What a sweetheart!

Ok, I have to go mop the floor. I like the the house to look immaculate when Alan comes home & like I"m just the super-star mummy! LOL.

my arm hurts

I really want to say her name and actually start typing it before backspacing and saying DD. We can call her Flutterby for now. I'm annoyed I have to be so secretive. I feel very positive about myself now. Wish I could go on a holiday out to WA, but not allowed to (you'll see why) and also I'd rather go to Brisbane to see my family.

DD's father has her 9am - 1pm on Wednesdays and Fridays and 10am - 4pm on Sundays. When she's 18 months old, he has her the same times those weekdays and every second weekend 10am Saturday - 5pm Sunday. Late November is the final orders court date so I'm hoping to change that. I'd prefer to do the drop offs, but he has time constraints etc. Argh, I'll sort it out later. I'm managing well though, now that I have my homemade hug-a-bub back (took him nearly a week to find it). Now I don't have to take the stroller dropping her to him at my local station and collecting her from his local station. I didn't want to have to carry it up stairs and cart it around all day if I was out and I was so sick of the "forgot your baby? something's missing. where's your baby?" comments. I know they're all in good fun but it got old so fast. I mean it would be very hard to forget her, the whole difference in weight and steering of the stroller and it would be so much quieter. So I use the carrier either front facing carry or hip carry, depending on how wriggly she is.

Today she was especially wriggly, and I was feeling so ill. Dizzy and nauseus, for whatever reason. I took ibuprofen/codeine for my jaw pain with my antibiotic. Then a massive headache hit me, so I took some paracetamol. That could have made me ill, it could have been the headache, my blood pressure might have been low, it might have been a bug. Who knows. I got my friend to pick us up from the station so I wouldn't have to walk home, despite it being only 12 minutes away. And after a short nap, I was well on the way to improvement.

Must go, I was supposed to have an early night, but all this reasearch i was doing and my brother helping me do some complicated yet easy download stuff and msn conversations time ran away.

I swear I am insane.
I have just finished making my family caramel tarts.
My nan used to make these yummo ones when I was younger, which the bases were honey snap biscuits, softened in the oven and formed into tart cases.
Sooooo, I woke up this morning and figured I would make some. I made my honey snap biscuits from scratch, my caramel (I boiled a can of condensed milk for 3hrs) and then topped them with cream and grated chocolate... and I CAN'T EVEN TRY ONE!!! :'(
Oh well... I can make them when I am finished on my diet :) lol

Budget - HAHAHA!!! I soooooo try to budget but I constantly fail. We spend $365 per week on rent, $40 per month on lawns, $70 approx a week on fuel, $250 per week on food, $10 per week on water (!) $50 per week on elect, phone, internet etc... and then there are all the little expenses like sports, my ebay obsession, DH's matchbox car/truck obsession (will post a pic later... you'll see what I mean!), once a week take out and canteen lunches etc... it all adds up in the end. BUT, I do still manage to save some money for a rainy day. The money is about to be used to buy a car to start to do up for James (it will be replaced with tax refund)... he wants a VW beetle... one of the older, Herbie ones... so we're buying that soon and starting to do it up for him. He can get his L's in 2 yrs time unless the ruls change, but he and DH are going to "boy-bond" whilst doing it up. lol

Jayne -My BIL is in the Navy so if I needed somewhere to stay I am sure he would be more than happy to have me... I should convince DH to come with me and catch up with his brother whilst I hang out with BB girls ;) How awesome that you live in the same suburb.

Kel - I hope you had a blast at Rove last night. I love Rove... though I have to admit I mainly watch it for Hamish and Andy these days... I think Hamish is gooooooorgeous... and Ryan on there is a bit of an alright! lol

PEG - Haven;t bought a new pram yet. Got a good valco one so may just buy the toddler seat for that. A friend also has a twin stroller I can use if I need to.You sound very disciplined with your budget, you made me feel guilty as I should be much more disciplined!Hope you are feeling better now.
LISA - Hope the cohens is going well hon.Def going to try and use the slow cooker more. Just got a great recipe for porcupine meatballs which sounds delish. Nothing niceer then coming home to that yummy smell.When we were in the country I used it heaps. Gotta try a roast in it soon, have you ever done one?
KEL -Yay you go girl well done on getting the job.:clap: Sounds great a bit of time away for you but not too much that will be stressful. I reckon you will be brillant at tupperware and you will be off toe Egypt before you know it. In regards to the big bed for Erin, she is sleeping really well so don't want to try anything just yet proably wait till about 6 weeks before bub is due and try her then. She was in a bassinet for about 9 weeks and I have a portacot as well so will just guage on how she goes. My periods stopped before having Erin for about 9 months they couldn't find any reason why, I was recommended to take the vitamin VITEX and within 2 weeks I got my AF back. How was Rove?Would love to meet you if you come to Perth and I will def come to JAYNE's Tupperware party.
TASHIE - Poor sweet hope your feeling a bit better. I really feel for you with hubby away. MY Dad was navy and I was in the Army so I know what it is like. They way thgis year is flying he will hopefully be home real soon.

He likes to buy rare ones... he bought a Mello Yello truck not too long ago which was in the $30-40 price range.
He mostly buys Chevy's. He also has some of the bigger, expensive cars in our display cabinet... I have bough him a few of those.
Basically he just loves buying the cars for Harrison... Harrison plays with them all too and know's he has to pack them all up when he's finished. lol

Will go back a bit... sorry if topics too old and boring for some.... (have a bandaid on my R ring finger.... l/o/p and . very hard and annoying, so may be some typos!!!

Tantrums/Food..... Monkey is becoming highly skilled at these about lots of things but esp food! But Lisa, you were mentioning a few days ago that Harrison wouldn't eat anything.... and I think Tash, we spoke about this too.... Monkey has all of a sudden become a fussy-eating toddler - she basically will eat a good breakfast, then the rest of the day is anyone's guess! But particularly dinner started to become a nightmare, so I've had to step back, take several deep breaths and learn not to stress - I actually read a great quote recently to think of it as a phase like any other, not that she'll be fussy forever. I try to make sure she gets good snacks and lunch (sometimes this is a nonevent too) and dinner is whatever! Doesn't seem to matter whether its finger or spoon food, she just usually won't have a bar of it. DH and I did discuss a plan to try to bring our dinner forward a couple of nights when he can be home early and see if eating together helps, but unfortunately can't do it every night and I dunno how I'm gonna cook properly with her around my ankles! We'll see how that goes... tonight at inlaws she did actually eat a bit more, with everyone just kinda snacking (not a proper sit down dinner due to rugby final...) - ate a bit of party sausage roll and even a bit of Gran's yummy vege and lentil soup (of course wouldn't eat MY soup last week!!!!)

[B]Kel[B] Hope things get sorted for you soon with blood tests etc.... My SIL had similar probs after her 1st bub - turned out she has Graves disease (which is a permanent and pretty rare thyroid prob) - she didn't have the weight loss either... I hope yours is nothing like that.... But now she got it sorted and after a bit more trying they are due in Nov (YAY!) But I also have a friend that had a temporary thyroid prob after 1st bub - accupuncture was hugely successful for her and now they have 2 gorgeous DD's.

[B]Tupperware[B : I LOVE Tupperware - as Tash will atest to! I will come to parties &/or just order stuff from you Kel! What's a 90min flight for a day trip!! Though, Kristy, I think you are prob wise not taking it on at the moment - who needs the stress of sorting all the setup parties to get yourself established etc....

Oh and Kristy, I love my Phil and Teds, but I think the toddler seat for the Valco is great - got a few friends who love it and have had no probs.

Lisa, I am soooo not showing my DH those photos!!! Don't want him to start saying "but your BB friends let their husbands collect cool stuff" !!! We soooo don't have room in our house for extra stuff - we have no storage as it is! DH has a bit of a collectors/hoarders personality - got it from his dad - the garage sale and trading post king!!! I think they have well over 100 chairs in their house! Actually, FIL is just like the Dad from The Castle - I could see him bringing home "jousting sticks" one day (you'll get it if you remember the movie well)...

I have to quickly tell you a couple of Monkey's new words this week - they are just so funny: she says "****a" for chicken/rooster etc.... because I do the rooster sound in some of her books. But she's very discerning, she differentiates them from ducks, which is (boring and not as funny) "duck"!

And the other new one has been just this week, after being sick and ending up on a/b's for ear infection: Medicine is "memi" - absolute classic - she gets excited by it and sucks it all up - today she found empty syringe DH had dropped on floor and threw a tantrum when he wouldn't give her any "memi"!!!!

Kel - How was rove and how did Jem go with your Mum and not bb? did she notice? Hope your arm feels better soon, but milk it for all its worth in the mean time.
- We sort of have a budget, but I don't do a very good job of sticking to it. Food is the killer about $150-200 a week and $70 a week at least on fuel. We haven't been able to save anything since we moved to Sydney, which stresses me out a lot, but we'll living happily day to day as long as nothing unexpected pops up. Unfortunately Tupperware doesn't make it into the budget.
- Congrats on the job and the Tupperware and how did you go scanning your school tie. That is such a good idea. I have been thinking about mine for next year. I went to an all girls school. Do you think it would be possible to see if the boys school that we mixed with would hold their school reunion on the same weekend so that we get to catch up with all our old guy friends too after our reunions? I want to put the suggestion forward without sounding too boy crazy?? We have a 'old girls association' that will be organising ours and I am sure everyone in it never had boyfriends at school!!!

Lisa - My DH is obsessed with what I call 'Little Men' and Star Wars. He used to be into table top games and has boxes and boxes of figurines. Luckily he doesn't buy them any more, but he still collects Star Wars comics and books. We have a room devoted to his hobbies. Before Tobi came along they were all set up and on display, but as soon as he went to Iraq last year when I was pregnant, I packed it all up and turned the room into a baby room. The books are still on display, but everything else is in boxes. I hate to image how much it is all worth. I have often said that if he ****es me off I am going to sell it all on ebay. He says that at least he isn't out wasting money on drinking etc on the weekends. I collect Swarovski Crystals. I get one a year for our anniversary. ATM I am on ebay picking one as I am still owed one for last year.

Kristy - I have a friend who has a toddler seat on her pram and swears by it. She thinks it is definitely the way to go, I hope my pram has one for when the time comes.
Tanties - Tobi has definitely started these. The biggest ones are when I wont let him bring his favourite teddy into the shower. I am such a mean Mum.

Food - I always start Tobi's meals off by giving him something I know he likes, eg; cheese and then he is more willing to eat something else. I also wonder if maybe they are starting to get more taste buds and that is why their likes and dislikes are changing. Maybe more or less flavour is required?? Tobi's two no fail meals are Shepperd's pie and chicken and apple meat balls, so if you want the recipes, let me know.

Walking - I think we can definitely say that Tobi is walking now. I was filming him chasing some birds at the park the other day and I went back and counted his steps and he did over 100 without falling or grabbing onto something.

Kym - Tobi really likes his medicine too, which is funny as he really hated it last year.

Jayne - Have fun with Alan home sweetie. Hope he spoils you, as you deserve it. (PMSL about the hairy legs too, as I haven't showered on my own in weeks, my legs too are rather on the hairy side. Thank god for winter and wearing jeans every day).

Peg - You're being secretive because of your ex right? But wouldn't he be able to work out who you are by what you've said already if he got on BB to check up on you? I am glad to hear things are bit better between you are DD gets to see her Dad couple of times a week. It must be good for you too to have some time on your own too, baby free. I miss going to the movies....How is your mouth? I got all four wisdom teeth out when I was in grade 11. It'll heal up in no time.

Me - I'm feeling heaps better and really impressed with myself for not only being sick but also had AF and didn't eat any chocolate to make me feel better. I did eat a lot of jelly though (I am allowed jelly). Still on a plateau with my weight and only about 10 weeks till DH gets home (don't have date yet) and I wanted to lose about another 15kg, so on Monday I am going to start getting serious and exercise twice a day when I can.

Anyway thats enough from me. Love and kisses to all the bubs.

10kg in 15 weeks - that will be tough! and require more exercise if you have plataued, pity you cant afford to join a gym then you could put tobi into the kidzclub and got for it for half an hour a day or something.... what exercise do you manage with tobi??
i am going to buy a belly dancing dvd..... partly for the exercise partly for the fun of it -actually what am i talking about my neighbour is a qualified belly dancer i will go chat her up now

Tobi and I go for a 45 minute walk most days and I try and go on a hill route to make myself work harder. I have some fitness Dvds that a friend lent to me, so I might start doing one of those when Tobi goes down for his nap. Now that he has one 2.5 hour nap in a day, I have heaps of time to do a DVD then still get some stuff done before he wakes up. I used to go walking during one of his sleeps, but now I go while he is awake and we go to the park before we come home, so that helps fill in awake hours too.

15kg in 10 weeks whoops i mixed it up that is more than 1kg a week, on shakes diet you could do it but dont put too much pressure on yourself, how much have you lost since dh left??

Without any exercise.

I'd love to lose that much Lisa, I really would, but can't afford your diet. I think it is fantastic you are getting some awesome results. Your family must be really proud of you.
I have lost 8kg since DH left, so he'll notice the difference, even if I don't end up losing any more. I will just tell him I got to my goal weight. He wont know the difference!
