    woooooo hoooooooooo
    i slept through last night!
jemima and benji and the dogs didnt but i did heheheeh
jem woke at 3ish apparently and benji said it only took about 10mins and he cuddled her back to sleep i woke at 6am to no baby in bed and hearing her talking in her cot!
(the dogs had woken benji up coz they LOVE the rain and lightening and thunder and were very excited)
I broke my car yesterday arvo and had a big afternoon so i was exhausted i guess and fighting the flu

but yes very exciting seems i have been spoiling the girl with a night time feed maybe... so will see how tonight goes EXCEPT she just spewed up EVERYTHING SHE HAS EATEN TODDAY!!!! it was so gross it was just after her bath and we were sitting have last night time feed and she stopped midway and let it rip, projectile everywhere I am HOPING it was the egg custard i gave her for dessert! oh yeah did i mention after her bath before i dressed her she piddled all over me too! love being a mummy

ryn - walking babies are funny to watch, jemima does it too, she looks so funny coz she is so small, she is tall but kinda skinny so it just looks wrong there is a youtube video of jemima walking a couple of weeks ago, it is fun to let her to but frustrating when that is all she wants to do! she is making progress though in the crawling i think it helps we are making friends with an older bub for her to watch....

really pety question........... what is cleverer drinking from sipper cup with lid and no handles or from cup with a lid and a straw sticking out (but it has handles)??? i think that jemima drinking out of a straw is pretty clever having to suck differently, but she can do the sippercup thing really really good too, just wondering which cup to bring with me to next mothers group.... silly and competitive I KNOW but honest opinionswould be good, she can drink from cup with no lid as well but messy on the put down sometimes!

she is all better we walked to the doc today (coz of broken car) and got the all clear.......... BUT she has allergic reaction to insect bites... they start off a dot, the next day they the size of 20cent piece (ryn that is about 3cm or just oveer half an inch in diameter! then the next day it starts to go down..... it is weird and i am buying some cream to help, it doesnt seem to bother her but it looks so funny
coz she is be4tter we finally get swimming lessons again tomorrow, cant wait jemima loves it so so so much i know she has missed it, now she can high five i think and wave i think (she has dohne both a couple of times so will see) to the instructor which she couldnt do before she was sick

i just realised this post was jemima jemima jemima whoops!!!

i gotta go be house wifey

    welcome all the newbies!

SMYLIE_ Glad to hear that Jemima has the clean bill of health but YUCK on the spew & the wee! Maybe the egg custard unsettled her tummy or she ate too much of it & that's why she spewed, I hope she's not getting sick again. WOO HOO on the swimming lessons! OMG I can't believe that Jemima is walking also. I thought Claudia was clever with the crawling at 1 day before 7 months. WOW. Yes, I would go the cup with no handles, I think the lid is just going toooo far with a 8 month old. Might look a bit obvious. PMSL. I'm not sure if Claudia can drink from a straw, but Jessica put her box drink with the straw in her mouth the other day & was squirting it into her mouth. She loved it, but I"m not keen on her having juice yet, I allow her to have other things - like hot chips that I'd never have dreamed of giving Jessica at that age, so I'm holding back on the juice. Also, we had a VERY poor start to solids, it was a bleeping nightmare TBH so if she eats something she can have it - within reason of course!

TASHIE _ I have a nearly 3yo so she does lots of entertaining with Claudia. I know this might sound odd, but Jessica was a baby who hated being on the floor & couldn't entertain herself if her life depended on it & would scream blue murder when I left the room so I made sure from an early age that I put Claudia on the floor, left the room, put toys in her reach etc... She plays very well by herself & well with Jessica & now that she is crawling, well she can find her own entertainment, like banging on the grate of the heater so it makes a wicked clunking sound - lucky it hasn't been turned on in weeks. I take the kids to the park, we go to indoor playgrounds a bit, we go shopping of course! & we sit outside on a rug with some toys in the sun while Jessica plays on her swingset. Jessica loved books at this age, but Claudia is too nosey & doesn't really get into them because she is more interested in watching everybody else. I'm glad to hear that Tobie is behaving & sleeping through, would you like to swap him with Claudia? LMAO. It's great this day & age that there is so much literature on how to settle babies, but I'm miffed why our parents never had sleep hassles with us??? Grandparents & parents have both told me that their children never had a problem with sleeping!!! Claudia is at the end of Feb also, so sometimes I feel like she is miles behind everybody elses bub, so I'm glad that you & Tobie are here now!

IMPATIENT _ WTG on waving & the clapping! Yay for Bella in the water. I'm sure next week it won't be so unfamiliar to her & she will enjoy it much more. Was it a nice warm pool? I bet she looked gorge in her swimmers! Did you enjoy yourself too? Claudia starts her swimming lessons on Thursday next week & I can't wait!!! Jessica has been swimming since she was 6 months old & I can proudly say now that she can actually swim on her own & float on her back, I think water safety is one of the most important skills you can teach your child.

CHRISTIE _ Not impressed with you sauntering in here & announcing that you get 12 hours sleep per night. LOL. J/K! Best of luck dropping that day time nap to get him to avoid the night time feed.

ME - Somebody mentioned about weight loss, well I'm here to tell ya that I'm piling it on! LOL. I have put on so much weight int he last couple of months & I swear it's sleep deprivation. I'm just snacking on whatever goes because I'm too tired & busy with the kids to prepare good stuff. Although, Jessica & Claudia eat very well, I should just eat what I'm giving them! I have invested in a treadmill though which I get on for 30 minutes per night & I have also bought this little double-person caravan thingy that goes on the back of my bike & I tow the two of them on the back of my bike. It has a 5 point safety harness in it for the both of them, plus a rain cover & fly net & there is room for toys for them & they have little windows. It's just the best. I got it 2nd hand for $50 & I have been riding a fair distance with them. I have been riding them sometimes of an afternoon so that they both have a little catnap before dinner. It's great. The plan is to ride to swimming lessons with the girls & around town to pick up bread & milk when I need it. So I'm going to get all fit & sexy for DH comes home on his R&R! Lets hope I don't get pregnant again when I'm looking good! LOL.

If only I could sleep 12hrs straight through Jayne LOL I'm sure if given the chance I couldn't do it coz I'm so accustomed to one child or another waking me up.

The lil man didn't sleep through the night as planned but I guess I shouldn't expect too much for the first day on the new schedule. He woke at midnight. I, of course, fed him but after reading Tashie comments about patting them back to sleep I guess tonight I'll try that tactic. Although he's my 2nd child we didn't have any problems with getting DD to sleep through the night. She did it all on her own around 3mo. I didn't know how spoilt I was until now. And cry ... DD didn't know how to cry in comparison to DS. WOW does he have a set of lungs on him!

Thanks for the warning re: links Ryn. I've edited them out. Wouldn't wanna get in bellybelly trouble

Well time to feed the lil wriggle worm. Enjoy your days
