Hi girls, DS wont sleep during the day either. Its just too hot for him, and I think his getting more teeth also. I have been finding it so tough the last few days. It seems I can only keep him happy by carrying him around. Carrying your 13kg son around in almost 40 deg heat is exhausting. last night the coolest it got to inside was 21 deg. Hopefully it will cool down today so DS gets more interested in his food again.
Kato, It sound like all our Ds are pritty much out of sorts. How have you been coping with DS walking?
Esme, Im glad you little guy loves vegies now.
Im starting to think my tummy problem might be certain foods I have eaten, or maybe just carring Jakes heavy weight all the time.
Prama, Jake wont sleep during the day either. Do you think it's the heat or his teeth? OMG, Im so much wanting to sleep when Jake doesnt. Im rocking in the chair to make him sleep, but find myself dozing off.
Im soo over the sticking stuff in him mouth stage. Its just a constant worry to keep things out of his reach. Im hoping when he starts walking all that is finished with.
Dam, his awake. I better go.

Prama - lol, Jasper likes to do the same thing; just discovered that people have teeth; probably a bit of tooth envy going on ;) as he doesn't have any yet.
Karlie - The heat makes it so difficult for them to go to sleep, doesn't it? It has been in the high 30's low 40's here for a while which usually isn't much of a problem because the evap airconditioning works well in the dry heat, but we had a couple of storms with a bit of rain so it is very sticky. It was 27 degrees in bubs room all night. We had the fan on him, so he did sleep reasonably well (woke up once but settled easily). We are eating a lot of melon at the moment. Jasper loves his fruit, can't get enough. Half defrosted raspberries go down really well too; nice cool snack. Did you make it to the drs yet? Could well be muscle pain from carrying a 13 kg bub around; my shoulder is permanently sore because of that too.
Hear you on the sticking stuff in their mouths; we have reasonably new carpet that has little balls of fluff coming off; one of his favourite passtimes is picking fluff and eating it; lol, I am waiting for him to start coughing up furballs soon.
-
karlie - hope the pain goes away.. 13kgs is a lot, it can mess up your back and all.
i think it's the heat..
poopy doesnt have teeth, he and jasper must be have tooth envy!! haha

Hi Everyone,
I have been reading but just haven't found time to post.
Welcome back CookieMonster I wondered where you had got too. How did the move go?? Well I hope. I will have to check out Alex's photo's. Glad to hear you a doing better :D
Kato -- Welcome. My little one turns 1 on the 15th of Feb! Yikes on the walking -- Sophie has just started pulling herself up and can crawl amazingly fast so not really looking forward to the walking.
Karlie -- hope your tummy pain has settled. DD will have one sleep in the morning but has been really difficult to settle in the afternoon. Today she was awake from 11am until 5pm and then only crashed because she had a brief car trip. grrrr
Lucky you on the 12hour sleep I remember when DD used to do that !!!
Esme -- hi. I hear you on the energy thing I am completely zapped at the moment. Sophie is just non stop and loves climbing all over me. The boys have been good but i think they are getting a bit bored so I have been trying to do things with them every day ie) park, pool, play centres etc. So I am doing most of my housework (if you could call it that) at night.
Well as I have said been a bit busy. Sophie is still commando crawling but at ligtning speed and in the last few days has lifted her bum up and is crawling properly. She is also pulling herself up to stand everywhere and is very proud of herself. She can't quite work out how to sit down yet so she grizzles until I rescue her. We went to the pool today for the first time with Sophie, luckily I had a girlfriend come along, 5 kids between us and it was still a challenge. They all had a great time but didn't want to leave so there were tantrums:rolleyes::rolleyes:
I am working over the weekend and am finding the juggle a bit more difficult so we shall see how long I can keep up with everything. Four days a fortnight doesn't sound like much but it is making me tired.
Hello to everyone I missed.
What is everyone doing for Birthday Cakes and Parties????
Talk soon

Hi guys! Boy have I missed BB. We have only had dial up internet for the last few weeks so it has been hard to catch up. Finally we are back on broadband and are unpacked and settled into our new state! All is going well so far, it is a beautiful place and we like it here. Haven't met many people yet, so poor DD has been stuck hanging around me all the time. It will be good when playgroups etc are running again so she can make some new friends and I can meet some mums too.
Ash - you have had a rough journey sweetie. I had no idea things were so tough. Good on you for making it through the other side. Alex is a very lucky little boy to have you as his mummy. Good luck with your move and I hope it all goes well. I know how hard an interstate move can be!
kato - welcome! Wow, walking already. That's going to keep you on your toes! My DD is crawling at the speed of light, pulling herself up on everything and cruising around furniture but I think it will be a while before she is walking still.
sue - I don't know how you manage with your littlies and work as well, you super woman! I am finding I am busy enough with one little bub and no work! I am thinking of doing the ladybird cake in the womens weekly birthday cakes book. It doesn't look too hard and is a beautiful cake - mum made it for my little sister's first birthday and I still remember it! I saw some really good ideas in a cake book for cup cakes made to look like animals, etc, that looked pretty easy but gorgeous too. I will have to have a practice run soon to make sure I don't stuff it up on the day!
karlie - I hope you are feeling better. Can you think of any food that may be bringing on the pain? I hope that's all it is. And carrying around a bub certainly doesn't help!
prama - I hope the sleep issue gets better soon. DD is sleeping really well during the day at the moment, but nights are a different matter. We have started letting her cry for longer because it is about time she slept through the night! She still has a night feed and I think it is time to let it go so am getting tough on her. Hopefully she will get the message soon and start letting us get a decent nights sleep at last!
esme - woo hoo on the vegies break through! I have discovered that DD likes roasted vegies, or, if not roasted, she will only eat peas and no other vegies. At least it's something! I hope the lump goes away, that must be always at the back of your mind. I think I would also be in a bit of a flat spot if it weren't for the move - after a year off work looking after a bub it does start to get a little monotonous. Plus it is getting harder to entertain DD here on my own. I have been pretty busy unpacking and settling in/finding my way around here and getting everything connected etc, then we are going to Melb for a couple of days and then have my parents staying the week after next and then 2 weeks after that we are back to Perth for 2 weeks for a couple of weddings. I think after all that I will find myself at a bit of a loss and may start looking for some PT work then. I'm not sure if I will find any or if I will be able to successfully get DD into daycare but I will try! I think by then I will be ready to start using my brain a bit more. I hope you can find something to keep things interesting, a course or something sounds like a good idea. I think some more 'you' time is probably what you need.
esme & prama - after thinking DD would never get any teeth, she has now cut 5 in the last 6 weeks!
Hi to everyone else,
Bun xx
-
we have a tooth!!!!
he's got one poking out, top tooth on his left! no bottom teeth yet...
hahahaha he must know his mother's fr the northern hemisphere so he got his top tooth first. haha
-
Woohoo, well done Lakshman!!!!!
Now Jasper is the only one without teeth... Re northern hemisphere; I wonder whether he will get the top ones first too ;).
-
thanks esme.. haha. yes, let's hope jasper gets his top one too for his mummy!
-
still no teeth here!!!! Jasper isn't on his own!!
we went for orientation at childcare last week and since then I have been trying to change Zoe's routine a little bit so she can fit in better with the routine at daycare. I have been thinking about dropping her to one sleep a day for a while cos her afternoon nap was always optional as far as she was concerned!!! So, just in the last couple of days I have dropped her to one sleep straight after lunch (about 11:45am) and no breastfeeds in the day anymore (one first thing in the morning and one before she goes to bed). It seems to be working pretty well so far. Although, yesterday i think she got overtired and when i put her down for her sleep she fought it hard for about an hour and then only slept for 40 mins!!! Getting there though....hopefully she will ease into childcare without too much trouble. I go back to work 3 days/week in about 4 weeks. ARGHHH!!
Good to hear all is well with you lot.
Ash, I hope it gets rosier for you as each day passes!
-
Hi laDIES, just a quick one from me -
We had lots of move dramas but were finally here, hopefully internet will be reconnected by tuesday.
Talk soon xoxo
-
Hi all!
Danda - good to hear Jasper isn't the only one without teeth! As I am still breastfeeding, I have to say I don't mind too much. I have been thinking of trying Jasper on one sleep too as he fights his arvo sleep so much, but he still sleeps for one hour, so I might wait a little. I would like to take him to playgroup which is from 10-12, so one sleep would be easier. Hopefully you going back to work won't be too hard on either of you!
Ash - Good to hear you made it to Yass; hope you settle in soon!
Hi to everyone else!
-
i understand esme.. i understand abt teeth and bf!! im getting a bit worried he might bite me.. i can feel his tooth when he's feeding, and it's sharp!!
if he doesnt bite when he gets more teeth, i'll go on bf.. i dont mean to sound selfish but i was thinking of weaning at 12mths.. but if he's good bf-ing w teeth i can go on for a while longer and decide when to wean. im just terrifed of teeth!!
-
I am thinking of weaning from anytime on now too, Prama. I have had enough. Jasper is eating really well so he doesn't really need it anymore, so I am thinking of cutting back to two feeds (morning and before bed) after his first birthday. At the moment we are learning to drink milk out of a normal cup (he loves his cowsmilk) so that can replace the lunchtime BF. Not too sure about the other two feeds, I don't think he is going to drop them by himself; he loves it too much. How many breastfeeds does Lakshman have? And how are you thinking of getting him to wean?
-
he has a bf first thing in the morning and at night before bed. during the day he has his formula. he has 3 milk feeds now. im going to change his formula to cow's milk but not sure if i should wait till his b'day or just before he starts day care. he'll be just over 11.5mths and not much difference i guess. will ask the nurse this week.
i just dropped his feed from 4 and he didnt seem to mind.
i dunno how to wean, havent really thot how yet.. i'll ask the nurse.. maybe just keep the night for now? i'm just thinking if i keep the night, he might sleep better?
also i'll have to ask, they said when they have teeth not to go to sleep just after drinking milk and that's it bad for their teeth. does that apply for breastmilk as well?
-
DD has bitten me once and yep, it hurts! I don't think it was deliberate and she hasn't done it again, so I am happy to continue BFing for the time being, but I'm not sure how long I will continue if she starts biting more often! It even hurts feeling the top teeth scraping against the boob, sometimes a lot, but she loves her boobie milk so much I can't bring myself to stop yet!
I have only just cut DD's night feed - I have decided enough is enough, so now I just leave her cry a lot longer than I used to at night and she is learning to put herself back to sleep. She still has 4 feeds during the day and I am also thinking of starting to cut them back. I am not really sure how to do it yet either. I think I will start replacing the mid morning feed with cows milk after she turns one, and then if that goes ok, I will start replacing the afternoon feed with cows milk too. I am happy to keep feeding her morning and night for the time being, although it would be nice to have my body back!
esme - i am also thinking of going to a playgroup that goes from 10-12, right at the same time as her morning sleep, but she still seems to like a morning and afternoon sleep. I think I will leave it a little longer and then try just one day sleep. I suppose it will also make things easier at day care when I want to go back to work.
Hi to everyone else, I hope you are all having a great long weekend!
-
Hi Everyone,
New to Belly Belly, and am just finding my way round the sight, and I found you all! My DS (first acronym...yay) was born on the 6th Feb 08, so I thought I's put a quick post in just to say "Hi". So glad I found this site and decided to register, will nice to be able to talk to other Mum's in the same boat as me, Hope it was Ok to just post a hello?
-
hi there!!! welcome!!!!!
wow your son's birthday is next week.. woo hoo!!
glad you have joined us!
-
Hey ladies,
Happy Australia Day!
my DS has been on 2 feeds for a while now bf in the am and formula from his sippy cup at night - went on stike and decided he was 'way too busy' during the day to stop and have milk! i wasn't quite ready to wean yet, but i figure at least i stil get to bf him once a day. he won't take a bottle anymore...isn't it fummy how they change their minds - i tried so hard to get him to take a bottle of EBM so he could stay with my ma, and then he decided that he only wants his b.milk in a bottle and now he won't take the bottle at all..?!
have thought about taking him down to one sleep during the day, but he still seems to need that arvo nap - otherwise he is a major cranky pants...
i think i will start trying out some cows milk soon....
sleep well all,;)
-
Hi all!
Prama - Will he take a little water after his last feed? Just to get rid of the milk in his mouth? I am wanting to drop the morning feed at some stage, but at the moment he is so hungry when he wakes up that I can't even change his nappy first... So I am not sure what to do about that, maybe just wait a little longer.
Bun - LOL, only eating roast vegies; sunday roast at your place every day? I too decided to cut out the night feeds a couple of weeks ago. After a few grizzly nights, he decided to just sleep through, so certainly worth the effort! Jasper still needs two sleeps, so will have to wait with playgroup too. It was more for me than for him as I am getting a bit lonely atm (as you can tell from the no. of posts here :)) But last week ran into a girl from our antenatal class and we decided we want to catch up at some stage, so see how we go.
Bronzdbebe - Welcome to the group! Your bub is only two days younger than Jasper. Birthdays coming up real soon... Have you started planning yet? I have been looking around for cake ideas, but haven't made up my mind. One of my partners nephews is intolerant to just about any artificial colour/flavour/preservative, so might have to skip the coloured icing... Thinking about a chocolate cake decorated with small plastic toys...
Kato - They certainly know what they want, don't they? Jasper doesn't want to finish his breaky until he had a couple of spoonfulls of mine; they might be little but they do know how to get their message across.
Hi to everyone else!
-
esme - our mchn told me to give him a feed before bfast, then one after lunch and after dinner. so only 3 feeds. i used to give him one after bfast but have dropped that.
good idea abt the water after the last feed. will do that.
-
Prama - Will continue with three feeds for a while then.
Lakshman and Jasper have their nap at the same time it seems! Good time to be on BB isn't it ;)?
-
Hi Girls,
Welcome Bronzdbebe good to have you here.
Prama - when do you go back to work? I am trying to do the three feeds a day which we normally manage but occaisionally she will wake overnight and have a bottle I am wondering whether to make this just water.
Esme - it gets a bit lonely doesn't it. They do seem to have playgroups at silly times i think they should be at 9am or straight after lunch. Maybe we could set up a revolution in playgroups he he.
I would make whatever cake you like and not worry about your nephew, I know it sounds harsh but he is probably used to not having what everyone else has. Maybe make a special cupcake for him and a yummy iced cake for everyone else. I have found you can't cater to everyone;) I think the best bit of the party is the cake and we always put the cake in front of them and let them attack it after Happy Birthday has been sung he he very messy.
Hi Kato, Danda, Bun and CookieMonster
Ho to JenJams and Jacki and everyone else (where are you guys?)
Sophie is now crawling properly although she is slower with her tummy off the ground and she is also standing up everywhere. We are having her party on her actual birthday and I am organizing a pool party. We only have a small wading pool and a ball pit so I am going to set them up outside under the shadecloth and use some tank water so the kids can have a splash. May evern have a slip n slide!
Hope all us victorians stay cool
Talk soon
-
Thank Esme,:)
I have started planning Zane's birthday, We are having a pirate party (husbands request) and Zane will be the youngest there so it's more for the adults and others kids really...I think the birthday boy will be stoked with the wrapping paper and not not much else will matter. lol.
As for the allergies/intolerance maybe you could have lots of cupcakes and arrange them into a No 1 and just leave the icing off the ones you need to for those with intolerance? Just an idea.
Still can't believe how quickly the time has passed by, seems like only yesterday I was pregnant, I was 9 day overdue with Zane so had he come on the due date he'd be 1 today!!:)
-
Sorry....Thanks to everyone who has welcomed me...Hi to everyone, Hope you are all having a great start to your week and looking forward to getting to know everyone a bit better.:)
-
Welcome bronzdbebe. I love the name Zane. It was on my list for boys names but DF didnt like it. A pirate party sounds cool!
With feeds, we are on 3 a day. I have finally managed to stop the night feed. (We are still BF too) Amber still wakes at night but all she gets now is water or a quick cuddle. She does cry but is getting better.
Oh and we have successfully dropped to one sleep a day. After lunch, Amber has a BF and then goes to bed for a couple of hours. So far it is working for us!
Hi everyone out there. For Amber's birthday I want to make a cake. I went and bought the womens weekly cook book today. You are right bun, the ladybird cake looks great. I will have to flick through it and see. Amber's (and bun's!) birthday is Friday the 13th this year. Maybe I can do a spooky cake? Amber has a lot of cousins but they are noisy kids and run all through the house. So I am maybe thinking of having only the grandparents down for a quiet dinner and cake. I dunno.
My god that was an all me post!
Hi Prama and Lakshman
Hi Bun and Catherine
Hi Esme and Jasper
Hi Sue and Sophie (and the boys!)
Hi Ash and Alex
Hi Danda and Zoe
Hi Roya and Amelie (and Sarina)
Hi Jackie and Luke
Hi Kato and Baxter
Hi Bronzdbebe and Zane
I am sure I have missed many. Must go and keep cool. Vic is Hot hot hot this week.
-
jen - you did so well with everyone and their bubs!!!
i cant remember if i mentioned but i'm, well, MIL and I, are going to make a farm cake. my mum made it for my 4th and i loved it. i got some plastic barnyard animals.. no way i can make marzipan animals!! going to use desicated coconut for grass, and i got some twig like choccies from aldi for the fence. i dunno abt a barn.. might be too much.
lol - friday the 13th! it will be great! when are you going to celebrate it?
we're doing it on the 14th but just at a park, bbq. easy and i dont have to worry abt cleaning hte house and ppl everywhere. haha. only hope the weather is good....
-
hey,
bronzedbebe - love the name Zane - awesome! we were also thinking of a pirate party for the little man...:D
i totally agree with the playgroup timings! thumbs up to the BB playgroup revolution! DS is cross cutting a tooth at the mo - his eye tooth is soo close to coming through - is going to look like such a little hobo when it comes through
have a great week girls,
-
Thanks Kato, Zane was my fave name and the only one hubby and I could agree on so it worked out well. Heaven help us if we ever have another boy!
Looking forward to having Zane's party, I'm making a pirate ship cake and have little party bags for the other kids (6 kids in total) hopefully it should all work out OK. Bit nervous about the cake and how it will turn out maybe I'm getting my ability mixed up with my ambition???
Quick question has anyone starting weaning onto cows milk yet straight from bf? Zane still has 3 bf a day morning mid afternoon and b4 bed but he doesn't seem to want the morning one really anymore so I was thinking I might need to think about how I'm going to wean, any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Have a great day all...off to have some me time...love the morning sleep.:D
-
Hi girls, Im wrapped. Tara starts kinder tomorrow. I hope she copes with the 41 deg weather ok.
How is everyone else dealing with the hot? I just cant believe it's going to be 40+ all the way up to the weekend. Ahhh. I can just cope with the days, but the hot night's just kill me & bub's.
Im off to the great ocean road this weekend. Im a bit worried how DS going to handle it. The motel has a indoor heated swimmimg pool, so I recon DD and hubby will spend alot of time in there. I am just keen to see if Jake is going to eat the sand at the beach like Tara did at 6 months.lol
Im sorry I dont have time for personals, but I hope you are all happy and healthy.
Hopefully I have more time to post when Tara starts kinder tomorrow.
BYe
-
2 please - have a great time on the Great Ocean road. If you go far enough you could come and visit me! (mental note - must change my location status on here now that we have moved!). We took DD to the beach for the first time a couple of weeks ago and she wasn't a fan at all. I am sure when they get used to the beach they will love it though! This weather sure is bad - I moved over here to avoid the horrible Perth summer and it looks like I have brought it with me! I hope Tara goes well at kinder.
bronzdbebe - welcome! A pirate party sounds like a great idea. I have no idea about weaning as DD is showing no signs of giving up the boob any time soon. Does he like cows milk? I am kinda hoping when I want to wean I can just replace one feed at a time with cows milk, and hey presto, she will be weaned! Probably not that easy though...
prama - great idea on the farm theme cake, make sure you put up pics!
jen - wow on remembering that Amber and I share the same birthday! I am trying to find a bowl to bake a cake in that is the right shape for the ladybird cake but haven't found one yet. I need to have a practice run before the big day so I hope I find one soon!
esme - I like the idea of having cupcakes shaped together to make a 1, that way you can have different cakes to suit any individual needs, plus there are some really good cupcake ideas out there.
I agree with everyone re the playgroup times - we are going to brave playgroup at 10am tomorrow anyway which is right on nap time, but we will see how we go. I need to get out and meet some new mums here before I go completely stir crazy!
-
i think i'm also going to getting ambitious w my cake making abilities! mil's going to bake and we'll do the deco together. she;s really good at it!
pirate ship cake! wow!! would love to see pictures!!!
oh enjoy the great ocean road, karlie, i love it there!
bun - how are you settling in?
poopy is now standing by himself for longer periods, up to 20-30seconds. and he has been taking 1 step and then falling down. i guess soon he will be taking 2 steps. then there's no stopping him.. house not ready yet!
-
Thanks for the cupcake idea, girls. I reckon I might do that. Have had so many cake ideas, can't make up my mind. But the latest idea is individual cupcakes with a little plastic toy and some colourful icing or sprinkles and arrange them in the shape of a one. On the other hand, Jasper does love horses, so I can make one big cake with green sprinkles as grass and put plastic horses on it and steal Prama's idea for the fence (sorry, Prama)... hmmmm... better make my mind up soon though. The problem is I have to go to town to see what is available toy wise as we live in a small town, so there won't be too much choice. But the weather is way too hot to go out... Hopefully it will cool down before the party as we were planning on having it outside (house too small) in the arvo. Might have to think about a plan B...
Sorry girls, selfish post. Decided to do some housework today, so time on BB is limited :(. Hope to be back soon! Wish everyone a good day!!
-
esme - i got the plastic toys from go lo.. hehe no problem you can use the idea!! haha. i got the choccy twigs from Adli. dunno if you've got one near you
-
Thanks Prama! Do I have to pay copyrights ;)? We do have a go-lo, no Aldi though... Will have a look tomorrow.
-
Okay ladies, I am back. Internet on and everything.
Wow can't believe our babies are almost one. It just seems like yesterday when we were all geared up to give birth!
Wow at Lakshman walking Prama, won't be long at all! That said, Alex is so gung-ho with just constantly step step step that he hasn't figure out much balance yet. One of these days he will just stand up and go for it. He already climbs over everything, eats everything, breaks everything, what will walking hurt?
Okay, so little ones birthdays!
Would anyone like to do a birthday card exchange? I would have organised it sooner but as you know i have been without the internet. If you're interested just pm me bubs name and address, dob by say sat evening??? and then i will pm all the want to participate with relevant babies details.
Anyway, if noone else wants to do it, i want to send to everyone anyway  so please pm me regardless? :nahnah:
Ummmm..... welcomee bronzedbebe and kato - I am Ashlea, mum to Alex and fiance to Anthony. I am a 'young' mum, pregnant at 19, birthed at 20 & am now 21. Have just moved to country NSW from 'rural' victoria, but was only 40mins out of melbourne and lived there for three years prior.
I just got accepted to do B.Midwifery at Monash, having moved the day before offers came out, bit shattered but oh well. Umm, not much else to know about me except that I have PND and tend to disappear frequently. I don't intend to now that my life has stablized however don't be surprised!!
Prama - I think you asked about the teethbrushing with regards to breastfeeding? It's no necessary. Assuming that attachment is correct the nipple and the direction of milk slides straight down the palate so it isn't actually in babies mouth. Think there is an article on the ABA website.
WRT weaning, good luck to everyone. Weaning was harder for me than for Alex as he had already been on a bottle and then soon enough he was too lazy to suck for breastmilk so when he started biting as refusal i was shattered. We are now on full cows milk, and occasional formula feed for breakfast if I can't be bothered making porridge and give him toast instead. He has taken to it really well and no digestion problems. He is a real piggy too, little monkey!!
GTG for now. xxoo
-
Oh and WOW to all the paryt plans, i wasn't going to have one because of the move dates but am trying to get it togetehr to organise one now.
Esme - whereabouts in the 'country' are you?
-
Hi Ash, we are in Leeton, about 150 kms West of Wagga Wagga and probably about 3 ? hours drive from Yass! Let me know if you are coming this way; would love to catch up. Will do the same if we are coming your way if you would like that. At the moment the longest trip we have undertaken with Jasper is just 1.5 hours as he doesn't like being in the car for too long. LOL on Alex being a little piggy; Jasper all of a sudden loves his food and can't get enough; he looks like a little bird sitting there with his mouth wide open waiting for another bite if mummy is too slow.
Congrats on being accepted at Monash to study Midwifery!!!! Any chance of doing it by correspondence or was that your plan anyway?
-
Hi ladies.
I cant help to feel depressed about the 4 year old girl thrown over the westgate bridge today. Having a 4 year old daughter of my own made me wonder how could her mother cope with loosing her. The poor little thing. I have always had trust issues with who looks after my kids, but how can you avoid your own kids getting hurt when their own father does that.
I have 4 kids party books, and I did a really great cake for Tara's 1st birthday, now Im past it and would rather pay someone else.
Bun, I dont blame you. I would go nuts stuck inside with bubs all the time. Its really hard to get them to sleep when there are kids everywhere. I find Jake always sleeps in the car on the way home.
Cookie, That card thing sounds good. I love the fact we can get super cheap cards now. I buy $2 ones from the local post office.
Esme, I recon Im going for the cupcake thing too. DD loves making cup cakes. I hope she doesnt try to make Jakes cup cakes pink.
Man it's hot. 43 Deg today. Lets hope thing's get cooler tomorrow.
Bye
-
Oh, I forgot. Prama, I made Tara's cake for the last 3 years and always struggled to get it done in time. Your very lucky to have someone to help you.
-
Hi Everyone,
2please -- I also feel so sad for that poor little girl. Apparently she was on her way to her first day at school. I can't understand how a father could do that to his daughter -- she must have been terrified. RIP poor little one. I am torn between wishing the father spend life in prison so he can be tormented by it for life or death penalty even though we don't have it here.
Cookiemonster -- great idea for birthday cards I will pm later.
Have to go BBL
Sue
