Good news; didn't have to have the biopsy! They did a US and it looked a lot better; less dense/more diffused so they came to the conclusion that the risk of infection/duct perforation outweighed the risk of it being cancerous. So the new approach is to wean bub over the next month or so and then do another US and review the situation. I am sooo relieved! All your positive vibes must have worked; thank you all so much!

Hi girls!
You brought a tear to my eye; thanks for thinking of me. Yes, I am hugely relieved.
As of yesterday we cut out Jasper's morning feed. We bought a new sippy cup especially for his milk feeds and he absolutely loves it. He hasn't tried to get bb at all; lol, here was me thinking it would be a big drama... He usually doesn't drink a full feed at night anyway, so I am not expecting many drama's there (from Jasper that is; I will be shedding a tear). What is it with bf? In a way I can't wait to wean (body/bb's mine again, DP getting up to him in the morning me staying in bed
) but on the other hand I just don't want to...
And... we have a tooth!!!! Or, at least it has cut through the gum, you can feel it. It is his top left. Finally!!!
IKWYM Esme about the BF. I was sad about giving up but yet I wasnt! I guess a good thing is that I will have another one one day and can hopefully BF again. But when Jasper is fully weaned and you get your body back fully, it is great!
Esme - that is fantastic news! You must be so relieved. Good luck with the weaning. I am thinking of weaning too but feel the same way - it would be good to get my body back but at the same time I think I will be really sad! And yay on the tooth!
sue - I went to Kmart the other day to look for the Twilight books. I was hoping to find them in a box set but only saw them for sale individually for $20 each. Is that a good price or should I look around for the box set? My DH is going to hate you for encouraging me once I do buy them because I will probably not do anything around the house til I have read them all he he!
prama - how are you feeling now? Has your voice come back?
Thanks all for the reassurance re DD's eating. I had the idea of giving her toddler formula at night before bed to hopefully get her sleeping through the night again and to put on some weight. I tried it for the first time last night and she wouldn't touch it! So much for that bright idea... Ever since she had a cold a couple of weeks ago she has wanted a night feed again and just will not go back down unless she gets it. Grrr, I am not sure what to do, it feels like we are going backwards!
I have decided to go with the day care centre and will start settling her in this week. Cue tears from Mummy this week!
OMG God Sooo Many Yay's for this little group ATM...
Way to go Jasper, High Five!!!1 Down 25 (?) to go...Do we have 26 teeth or is that just the amount of numbers in the alphabet!?
Es- I bet you are just stoked! That is awesome, so all in all I'm guessing your on top of the world right now!Your soooo Lucky that J loves his milk in a cup, I have to add a tsp of melted milo to Z's or he won't have a bar of it, I might try the formula too. We are still on bedtime BF and I think I'll get sad/teary too, I just sometimes feel like I'll loose some of our closeness...I know silly but I can't help it so I'm holding onto the BF??
Bun- Honey we will be here for you next week. Make sure you stay busy while C is at DC, go out for coffee or get your hair or nails done, but don't go home to an empty house, maybe not the first time, might be to upsetting for you babe...or better still go to an internet cafe with a latte and chat to us!!I'm sure she will find her groove again soon re night feeds...it is sooo annoying though isn't it. mainly because we are now used to sleeping through too. LOL
Jen- How are the BB's now? Have they settled down since BF has finished? Sorry if this is TMI....Have they shrunk? I had next to nothing before I was preggers and BF'ingBut now I have some well I'm a 12B and I don't want to loose them
Please tell me they haven't?
How is Missy Amber doing ATM?
I have had a great weekend, We went to a friends little girls B'day on Sat (she was 3)and it was awesome! Z kept kissing her with his mouth wide open and his tounge out..charming. She thought it was gross and kept running away. Very funny. Poor little fella they are already treating him mean to keep him keen!
Today we went to the park and had a ball, Z now loves the slide, Thank God Dh was with me because it's a case of slide down straight back for another go, your arms are soon burning!! And then some shopping, I cashed in some points on my credit card and got a David Jones voucher and...I finally got some Sass and Bide jeans! I have been eyeing them off for ages but couldn't afford/or justify to DH why I spent that much on jeans. Thank You Award points!!
Swimming lessons tomorrow at 11.30...first one so wish me luck. I hope it goes OK, I'm thinking we will be fine but it's a new thing for him. There are only 6 in the class and it goes for 1/2 hour.
On a not so good note.......DH is going to away for 8 weeks come June/July. I'm not sure what I'm going to do! I'm thinking I might pack up and head to Mum and Dad's? They live 8 hours away in NSW, I don;t have any other family here in QLD, I do have my BFriend moving over in 2 weeks and she will be really close but it's just not the same. I know you guys can't decide for me but what do you think?
Anyway thats about it from me..Massive Hugs all Round...I'm so glad I joined this group.
Big hello's to Sue,Karlie,Prama & Kato, Hopefully BBL..well tomorrow.

hi girls.
just wanted to say sorry for not being a very good "poster" lately.. im just finding it so hard to catch up and do personals. ive been sneaking time at work to post.
jasper - yaay! they're all waiting to pop soon. poopy's took forever and then 5 followed very closely. i think he's teething again.
sonya - there's 20 milk teeth! lol. i understood what you meant
bun - glad you found a day care. she'll be all right and make friends quickly. the first few days might be hard. go out and enjoy doing things at a leisurely time, else just stay in bed and sleep sleep sleep
poopy's not a big baby, weight or height...
sorry gotta run.. something's come up and have to troubleshoot!
will try to post again later
love you all very much
Hi girls!
Jen - Yes, can't wait to have my body back! How long did it take for your bb's to no longer feel full after you cut out the last feed? I am just not looking forward to the blown-up painful feeling I had when my milk came in, so I hope it won't be as bad...
Bun - We will be here for you, hun! As Sonya said; make sure you get out and about and come online to chat with us! About the nightfeed; would it work if you try to give her a sippy cup water/cowsmilk at night and wean her slowly off that? Or won't she take that at all? FWIW: i try to stick to this rule; once I cut out a feed to never reintroduce it again... I hope I can stick to it when he gets sick though... makes it all so hard, doesn't it? Hope you will get your full night's sleep back soon!
Sonya - LOL, you are funny! Sure made me laugh this morning! Yes, one down 19 to go!!! He hasn't been too cranky/sooky and still sleeps through (touch wood..) so it hasn't been too bad. I feel the same regarding finishing bf; you can count the number of times I have said on here that I was ready to wean, but nothing happened... I noticed with the morning feed out of a sippy cup we still have the nice cuddles, so that might make it a little easier. In a way it is good to have the added motivation to wean as I want to get rid of this lump, so that is my main priority atm. I just want to have my body back (and healthy) for a few months before ttc #2. Yay, on Z enjoying the park! Jasper can't get enough of it; his favourite activity is play with the mulch and the sticks, although he does love the slide and the swings. Sorry to hear that DH has to go away again, I think it might be a good idea to go to your mum & dad so you have some extra hands around when you need it and they get to see Z more! Whereabouts in NSW are they? I guess too far from Leeton... pity, otherwise we could catch up! Enjoy the swimming lessons, let us know how you went.
Prama - Don't worry about lack of personals! Just pop in when you have a chance. Love your new pic of Lakshman, he is so cute!
Nothing much happened here. We had a relaxed weekend catching up with grandparents and friends. Jasper loved playing with the neighbours kids (6 yrs and 20 months); had a ball walking after them and trying to take toys of them! Might have to take him to playgroup now.. if only he would wake up later in the morning so he wouldn't need his morning sleep.. We finally changed his carseat around to forward facing yesterday, so will have to go for a test drive today to see if he likes it. We are planning on going to Canberra to stay with SIL over Easter; quite looking forward to getting out of this little town for a while and to, hopefully, do some bushwalking.
That's us for now! Wishing everyone a happy day!
es - we are going to canberra may 15th - 18th.. i suppose you are going in aprilsorry we wont be able to catch up
sonya - boobs -i used to be a 12C/14B, the other day went to get new bras and found out that im a 16D. Steve's eyes were as big as saucers and he went jesus!! lol. i no longer get a full feeling. im only doing morning and night feeds. if i do cut down, i might do the night and keep the morning. easier to bf in the morning than to wake up and warm up the milk etc.
might be an idea to go to mum and dad's as esme said. gives them time to spend w z, vice versa and you to have a break too. someone to help w the cooking and cleaning and you can go out and do stuff while they can help look after z.
take care girls//
Sonya - I think you should stay with your parents while DH is away. I stayed with my parents when DH went away when DD was quite young, and they only lived 15 mins away! I am also worried about my bbs post-BFing. Like you, I had very little before DD and I have enjoyed having bigger bbs while BFing! I think I am going to be disappointed though. Right after a feed they look depressingly empty and I imagine that is what they are going to look like when I finish feedingOh, and I didn't even notice that you said numbers in the alphabet! How did swimming go?
esme - Jasper will love having his car seat turned around! We turned DD's around ages ago and she loves it, plus it is easier to pass things back to her to keep her happy! How is the weaning going?
prama - woo hoo on the bigger bbs! I wish that would happen to me! And don't apologise for not having time to post much, we are happy to hear from you whenever you get a chance and we know how busy you must be!
We start settling DD into day care on Thurs. I am still so unsure what to do, I think I should go back to work PT but I kind of don't want to at the same time. I think I would feel so lonely and sad at home on my own without her, I don't think I have ever been at home without her since she was born!
Guess I didn't have to worry after all... New Post

Good morning girls,
Sorry have been very busy haven't had time to post. Have been having BB withdrawal.
Sonya -- big hugs to you. It is only natural for you to feel that way, you have had a great BF journey and I am sure you will do it again one day. The first of many milestones for little Z enjoy them all even if there are a few tears I think thats what being a Mummy is all about.
I too would also go and stay with your Parents while DH is away, support for you more playmates for Z. Once he is walking on his own lookout you will need the extra hands he he
Esme -- YEAHso happy for you and that you didn't have to have a biopsy. WOOHOOO!!!!!
Bun -- Good luck on Thursday will be thinking of you. Is she having a half day to start with??? Do something just for you, go shopping, have a coffee, go to a movie, you will be thinking of Catherine no matter what you do but if you are busy it might be a little easier.
Re twilight books I think Big W have them for $16 and I think you can buy them on line for $10 but then not sure about postage. PM me your address and I can send you the movie he he
Prama -- Septmeber school holidays are from the 21st Sept not sure when we will be coming up but will definately let you know
OK better go and get organised for school and kinder
Hi to everyone else
Have a good day
BBL
don't fall for any april fools jokes
Prama - Yes we are going in April.... pity, would have been such a good chance to meet up!
Sonya -... At least you were able to keep bfeeding until Zane was ready to wean. Time to start planning all those things you were looking forward too! I will be crying too next week... I am trying to put off the inevitable, but have to make a firm decision on when I will cut out his last feed... I am looking forward to buying a properly fitted bra, but it doesn't look like I will have much bb left to put in it. I went from a 12B to a 14E, but now it looks like I might be either back to a B or even A
. Ah well, at least they will be mine (DP's?) again.
Sue - Thanks, very happy girl here! Cutting out feeds makes it play up a bit again, but only one feed to go... Also thanks for the April fool's day warning; would have forgotten all about it!
Bun -to you too! Will be thinking of you on Thursday. Jasper loves having his carseat turned around. He keeps making excited noises at whatever he can see; so cute! Just wondering one thing; how do they sleep? It seems a little upright to me... do they need one of those neck 'thingies', or do they sleep ok without one?
As for us; we have been enjoying the cooler weather and the newfound mobility and spend hours in the park. Jasper just loves walking through the leaves, around the aviary and play on the slide and the swings. I have to say, it makes it a lot easier for me to entertain him. His second tooth is cutting, but it doesn't seem to bother him too much. He hasn't bitten me yet, but after a feed I can see a lovely red imprint on my bb. Still going strong with the sign language; he really enjoys doing the signs for me to get me to say the words to them. He can use the signs properly now, and was asking for 'more sleep' at 8.30. I put him in bed and he happily stayed in bed until he fell asleep. Whenever he starts to chuck a tantie, I ask him to show me what he wants, he instantly calms down and thinks about the sign to use and shows me with a big proud smile on his little face!
esme - wow, sounds like baby sign language is a really good thing. DD tells us what she wants by pointing at things (we call it her Magic Pointy Finger - she points, she gets!), but it's hard when she can't see what she wants to point at it! Re the baby car seat, ours can be reclined slightly so it makes it easier for sleep. You will probably find though that he will be able to sleep in it anyway, I am always amazed at the positions babies can sleep in! I remember when DD first got her top teeth and after a feed you could see marks on my bbs where her teeth were. Luckily we haven't had too much trouble with biting here. My bbs went from a 12B to 12C and when I got fitted recently for new bras, they were still a 12C but I think when I stop feeding they will get smaller. DH has been terrified of my bbs since I was 19 wks preggers and they started leaking so I'm not sure if he will be interested after I finish feeding, I think he sees them as DD's property now!
sue - thanks for the info re Twilight books. We don't have a Big W here so I may look for them online or else go back to Kmart. Thanks for the offer re the movie, I will PM you! Tomorrow we start the settling in process at DC, I think I stay there with her the first time, then the next time I stay in the building in case of problems, but not where she can see me, and then I start leaving her longer after that. I hardly remember what I used to do on my own without her, and since I don't know many people here I don't know how I will keep myself busy until I find a job! I will def go to the gym and maybe have a coffee on my own?? It's funny not even remembering how you used to pass the time before a baby came along!
sonya - big bigsweetie. I know I will feel exactly the same when I stop feeding. It's so hard - on the one hand it must be great to have your body back, but on the other hand, it is so so sad! I really need to wean DD soon but am struggling with it. You did a fantastic job feeding him for so long and to continue until he wanted to wean is fantastic. YOu enjoy having a few guilt-free bevies and remember you will be able to do it all again with your next bub!
sonya - you have done so well, bf-ing exclusively for so long.. so many dont get this far, and you have, and you didnt stop it on your own. z decided he wanted too. so he was ready for it. but it must be a bit of a shock.. and something you werent ready for. it's hard. i know i will be sad when poopy weans himself too.
we havent had a good couple of days. poopy has had a fever of 39 degrees on and off. we took him to the gp and he also has a chest infection and gave some antibiotics. he doesnt want to eat.. he seems fine at day care in the morning but gets crook in the afternoon. he also has red spots on his face and a small blister at the corner of the mouth and sore throat. if his fever doesnt get better, i want to take him to westmead children's hossy to check if it's foot and mouth etc.
steve's taking tomorrow off to look after him, ironically i have a first aid training tomorrow but only from 8.30 to 4. if it was a normal work day i would have stayed home.
yes, it's certainly been pouring here, one t hing after another since january....
