roya - OMG, you are so close now! So you have been allowed to labour this time rather than having to have a caesar then? That's great news, I hope all goes well. Sounds like having your mum for 2 months will be a huge help. Can't wait to hear your BA!
prama- wow, 11 weeks already! How are you feeling? How long are you planning to have off work this time?
jacki - so glad to hear the amnio results have been good, that must be such a relief!
Sue - sounds like you have some fun birthday plans there. We probably won't do much for this birthday as there are just too many other things happening! Will have to have an extra fun birthday next year.
esme - not long for you to go either! I also felt pretty uncomfortable and much bigger the second time around. I am still trying to work out how to cope with a toddler and a newborn and am v grateful to the family we have had staying to help us out. I have been on my own today and have managed ok though. We are getting DD a trampoline for her second birthday, I think she will love it!
Jen - how are you going?
Well, we are going ok. J so far isn't the best sleeper at night so I am pretty tired, and DD can be a bit of a handful at times but I am coping! I am still quite sore as well which isn't helping. My parents arrive tomorrow night and I can't wait!
Well, i'm having bubba#3 in a public hospital so there's no 'allowed' about it. They have a duty of care to you if you turn up in labour and i'm fully informed about the risks etc and am happy with my choice. i'm adamant about trying VBA2C and despite a couple of the doctors reservations, the Head of Dept has reviewed my choice and is supportive so i'm going to try.
I have done so much research on this and also hired a private midwife to be with me both at home and whilst i'm in hospital so if it doesn't work and I end up with a 3rd c-section, i just want to know that a) my baby chose it's own birthday and was ready to be born and b) i did my best.
Wish me luck! getting excited now though and looking forward to a cool change tomorrow as it's a bit hot for me over night (25 degs with no air=con - that's a UK summers day!!!)
Sorry I have been a bit quiet lots of things going on.
RoyaUK -- any news ?????
Happy Birthday to all the two year olds Wow that has gone fast.
Sophie had a lovely party and was very spoilt.
We are only 18 days away from our cruise to Vanuatu -- can't wait. I am starting to fret about leaving my 3 possums but I know they will be well looked after by my MIL.
Sophie is very independant and has started throwing major tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants ( it is quite funny but I know I can't laugh he he ).
Benjamin is in grade one and Nicholas is at 4 year old Kinder 3 days / sessions a week. So very busy time for us.
Hello to everyone Jacki, Bun, Jen, Prama, Roya, Esme and DragonCookie!!!!
Hi all, no time today - i have been super busy planning interstate move and a wedding so droppe doff the earth again. i will soon onyly be working 20hrs a week and mostly from home so look forward to catching up properly. happy birthday to all the munchkins!
Well what a busy week. DD1 has decided at the age of 3.5 yrs she's a gourmet chef and loves cooking, Amelie will be 2 yrs old tomorrow and to top it all off.......little Mia was born 5 days ago! She's just gorgeous and feeding and sleeping really well so far.
Amelie is quite emotional at the best of times so has had a little struggle with me being away in hospital but now i'm home she's starting to relax a bit more. She just loves kissing her younger sister though which is very cute.
Hope you're all well. Happy birthdays to all the 2 yr olds!!
Congrats!!!! hope you had a good labour and delivery!!
well done!!
and happy birthday to Amelie.
hehe now you can handover thecooking to DD1 as you are busy w bubs. hhahaha
and happy birthday to all the babies, so sorry i havent been on often enough. with ms still going and extreme, tiredness, and flat out at work, I havent been on much.
Congratulations Roya. 3 princesses now. Hope all is well with you and your family.
14 weeks Prama WOW! Time flies. Hopefully the ms can ease up soon.
Hi everyone. We're plodding along here. Amber is getting a little better with her baby sister. She can be quite rough but is loving giving her kisses. She is cat napping today so its quite draining.
DD2 is also heavily favouring sleeping on one side. Almost to the extent of me getting a little worried her neck muscles wont develop properly. We are doing tummy time on the opposite side and trying all the tricks. Hope she goes a bit better. We are also are having an ultrasound to check her hips tomorrow as at her 6 week checkup, the doc said her rolls of fat on her legs were not quite symetrical. Hopefully it is a minor thing too.
Congrats Roya! Great to hear about the safe arrival of Mia and that all is going well. I am a little worried about Jasper as well as he is such a sensitive little boy, I try to talk about it a lot, but every time he gets that worried look on his poor little face. I hope he will cope ok. Besides that he seems to be loving the idea of a little brother.
Jen - Good to hear Amber loves being a big sister. Hopefully the u/s will show that everything is ok. Jasper used to favour one side too and got quite a flat head on one side, to the point where his forehead was pushed forward a bit on one side. We didn't do anything special apart from tummy time (which he hated) and the occasional daysleep on the tummy and his head went back to normal when he started to roll (preferred to sleep on tummy), sit and crawl. Now you can't see it anymore.
Prama - I hope that the morning sickness and the tiredness disappear soon. Yay for being in the second trimester!
Bun - How are you going? Coping with a toddler and a newborn? I love your pictures on facebook; they are both so cute!
AFM - Had Jasper's birthday party with all his friends (13 kids aged 1-4 = chaos!). He had a ball. Happy birthday to all two year olds!!!
OMG esme - i didnt realise! time had gone so quick. OMG! how exciting!
congrats and well done on your short labour! hope you are doing well.
sorry for not keeping in touch more.
Wow, congrats Esme and welcome to the world little Benjamin! Fantastic news!!
We are going well. It is actually not as hard as I thought it would be having two small children, although like Jen said some time back, the toddler seems to be more work than the newborn!!
prama - I can't believe how far along you are - that seems to have flown by!
Jen - how are you going?
Hi to everyone else, sorry to be brief, I have a hundred things to do while the kids are both asleep so I had better get back to it!
Oh time is flying here with us. DD2 is 3 and a half months already.... It is getting easier although Amber is the one who is more high maintenance. I am not enjoying this stage in her life. The tantrums are terrible and everything is about her. Hope she can grow out of it quickly
Roya, how are 3 daughters going?
Bun, are you home from WA yet? How did you go travelling with them? How is C going with her baby brother?
Esme, how are you coping with the 2? I know I was a wreck for the first few weeks but I reckon you will be going great guns
Prama, How is L going?
Sue, whats new in Ballarat?
Oh sorry Erin, I forgot to welcome you. Welcome to you and Laith. Is it pronounced Layth? I havn't heard it before
Congrats Esme on baby Benjamin ( love the name!!)
Congrats Roya on the arrival of baby Mia
Prama I cannott believe you are halfway already WOW hope the ms eases up.
Well we have been very busy we went on our cruies in March which was great after I got over the sea sickness, and we just got back from Port Stephens my SIL got married. I am starting back at work today and have no more holidays booked this year so I think I will have to book some lol
Sophie is also throwing some major tantrums which is hard work and she doesn't like sleeping during the day anymore. On the positive side she loves drawing and dancing so we are having lots of fun together. Nicholas is at 4 yr old kinder and loving it and my Benjamin is in grade 1 eek.
