esme - I have ordered the maxi climber for DD for Chrissie too! There is one at PG which seems like heaps of fun and she loves to climb so hopefully she will like it. Glad to hear you are doing ok. I suffered pretty badly from depression after my two miscarriages so I understand how hard it can be. If you do need any support, we are all here for you . I was going to respond to your post re the MMR booster but you seem to know the answer to that now! I had the whooping cough booster as recommended by my OB after having DD and I think that had other boosters in it too such as diptheria and tetanus and others.
prama - I have been thinking about sand pits too and was thinking of getting the clam shells because you can use one half to cover the other when it rains, plus can fill one with water on a hot day. I will have to find your other post and have a look at the comments. Re Poopy noticing the difference 'down there', wow! I don't think DD has any clue about what she does/doesn't have down there, I don't even think she can see down there over her huge belly!
karlie - sorry to hear about the pain you have been in, IBS sounds terrible. Wow on Jake having all his teeth already!! DD only has 12 and is cutting her vampire teeth right now, so we still have a long way to go. She has cut 4 molars so far which seemed to give her some grief, so I guess like esme we have many more sleepless nights still to come!
danda - that is so typical for bubs to sleep through the night at Nan and Pop's but not at home! I bet DD would do that too if we could have a sleep over. I still get up to her most nights.
jen - woohoo on feeling movements! I am still not really sure if I am or not. I saw the Aldi kitchen toy and thought about getting that one too. I have to admit that I love shopping for toys for DD, it's so much fun!
Hi to everyone else, hope you are all well xx
-
Hey everybody.
DD is being a grump so wont be here long.
Esme mate- Miscarriages are so not cool. We do not deserve them. I had one before Amber too. I guess the only solace I took from it was better nature be cruel then to be kinder later... But that doesnt make us feel any better. We are here for support too.
Oh Amber is a guts with food. She shovels it in now and will not let us feed her so its quite messy.
I dont know these maxi climbers. Must go to target for a look!
Alright I may go and bath the grizzling child.
Oh and in regards to teeth silly question here but how many do they get? We have 12 that I know of.....
-
It has been so quiet in here! I thought I would give the thread a bump by posting. Things are going well here, DD slept through the last two nights which was heavenly. I am starting to get a little baby bump and am feeling much better now and DD has cut another two teeth! Only two more to go now I think other than her 2 year old molars. She is such a little person now, she knows heaps of words and seems to understand pretty much everything I say, even when I am talking to DH and don't realise she is even listening!
esme - how are you going?
Hi everyone else, hope you and your little ones are all well xx
-
thanks bun! glad you are doing well.
ive been really busy at work so not much time to look up bb during the day.
ooh you'll be having lots of questions soon, non stop whys!
take care, im dead tired.. going to bed soon. but must fold the washing first.

Hi girls,
esme - i'm really sorry to hear about your miscarriage. How are you feeling?
hi to everyone else - hope you're all ok.
We returned back from the UK a couple of days ago (we had a 7 week trip) and now have the joys of jet lag to contend with - basically the girls are starving at 2am eating massives of porridge and wanting to sleep till the afternoon i.e. still in the UK time zone. It's hard work but was a great trip so it's the final hurdle. Much harder than the flight which went really really well (even given I did the trip over by myself with both girls!!).
We did find out a couple of weeks ago that i'm pregnant with bubba #3! Bit of a surprise but we'd planned 3 kids so it's going well so far - even though i'm in total denial.
Soon we may have to plan the logistics of having DD1 & Amelie share a room together so that we can squeeze bubba in with us again. And another car seat...Certainly feels like a lot of prep is needed.
-
Hi all,
Congratulations Roya! So happy for you. And well done on taking both girls on a very long flight, I don't think I could do it. Probably another week or so and the girls will be back on track. How are you feeling? Did you have a good first trimester?
Jen - Thanks, that is the way I look at it too, but the pregnancy hormones give me no chance to think rationally in the first few days. Feeling good now, we are actually trying again, so we'll see what happens. How are you going? Did you feel any more flutters?
Bun - Good to hear you are feeling so much better. I loved the second trimester when pregnant with Jasper. Hopefully Catherine keeps sleeping through for you. Jasper still only has 6 teeth, but he is now working on his molars; grumpy, drooling and chewing on his fingers...
Prama - How are you, hun? Have you organised the cleaner yet? Look after yourself .
Well, Jasper had his 18 month checkup last week and his chickenpox needle. He has gone from 50th percentile to 70th for both height and weight, no wonder he is growing out of his clothes again. He took his needle really well, hardly noticed it as he was too busy drawing! I am glad that there are no more needles until he turns four...
He also had his first haircut on Friday, and boy oh boy, did he hate it! He screamed the whole time and tried to burrow his head into me :(. Poor bub was afraid of someone he didn't know touching him. Lucky the hairdresser was very quick! He looks like a real little boy now, not a bubba anymore :(...
-
hi girls, how are you all going?
roya - woo hoo! wow there must be something in this thread!! congrats hun!!
I'm doing ok, still up and down and looking forward to going to malaysia on the 22nd for my cousin's wedding.
poopy had his 18th mth needles on tues, we were told he could get some chicken pox as side effects in the next 28days. :(
esme - is jasper doing ok after his needles? hehe we're getting poopy haircut when we go to malaysia. we've trimmed it for him but it grows back too quick and thick, since we got his head shaven a year ago. and he's too wriggly for us to do it now. and it's so true, when he gets his hair trimmed, he looks more and more like a little boy.
he tripped and hit his head on the door this morning and has a big eggie above his left eye. :(
DH and I are so accident prone, hope he doesnt get that trait!!
-
Prama - Jasper did not have any side effects at all. So far no chickenpox, but still a few days to go.. They told me they wouldn't be contagious. Good luck with the impending haircut! I hope Jasper's hair doesn't grow back too quickly.
We are just back from a three day trip to Canberra. We had lots of fun shopping and going to the zoo. Jasper loved the aquarium; squealing and running around from tank to tank; was funny to watch. He also liked the giraffe and the zebras, but wasn't too interested in the big cats (lol, apart from saying 'meow').
-
roya - congrats, what fabulous news! Hmmm, I wonder who will be next?? Good on you for managing the trip with the 2 littlies, I don't know how on earth you did it on your own!
esme - sounds like Jasper had a ball on your holiday! I can't wait to take DD to the zoo or an aquarium - last time we went she was a little too young to really appreciate it, but I think now she would LOVE it! She is really into animals and animal sounds so it would be really exciting for her to see a lot of the animals for real! We are heading to Melb next week and then Perth again in a few weeks so methinks a few trips to zoos and aquariums may be in order!
sue - how are you?? I just watched Twilight again on the weekend, thanks again!
prama - poor poopy with his little eggie! Hope it heals up soon.
Well girls, we need to bump this thread a little. Come on guys, can't let this one die out and it is getting awfully quiet in here!!
-
esme - when we went to canberra, poopy loved the aquarium too. i guess it's easier and more exciting to see the fish swim. he wasnt too excited by the lions etc.
bun - how are you coming along?
yes, dont want this thread to die out...
poopy is having trouble with his 4th molar, the others didnt give him any grief, but this one is a meanie. he isnt sleeping and crying all night. poor darling.
we are off to m'sia on sat for 2 weeks. my cousin's getting married. im so excited!!
-
Bumping our thread up girls.
Everyone must be very busy these days :D
Well just quickly from us. I had a scan on Tuesday and all is well. I didnt cave in bun and it will be a surprise. Are you finding out?
Ambe is being funny with sleeping again. Day sleeps this week have been all over the shop with little to none or if anything I get her to have a snooze in the car. She was doing well at night but last night she woke at 1230 and came in with is for the rest of the night and tossed and turned. I think she is getting another tooth though.
She had a very mild dose of the chicken pox so that has kept her away from childcare for a week. Hopefully she adjusts when she goes back next week.
Ok she is crying out for attention so I must go.
How is everyone?
-
Hi girls,
Yes - we're busy! Amelie is being very cute but frustrated at the moment as she's trying so hard to talk and gets angry when i don't understand, poor thing.
She's so adventurous. I was having a shower, came out to find her sitting in the cutlery drawer in the kitchen - sitting on top of the steak knives!!! Such a monkey.
DD1 is getting to the answering back stage (she's 3 yrs) so starting to cause headaches and I need to learn how to discipline correctly - by which i mean to teach her boundaries etc without getting stressed and shouting!!
Bubba #3 is ok, i think. Got another check up tomorrow so that'll be interesting to see what happens.
Hope you're all ok.
-
Hi girls,
Prama - How's Malaysia? Hope you have a good time catching up.
Jen - Glad to hear your scan went well. Good on you for not finding out, I think I will be tempted this time around... Poor Amber; getting the chickenpox just before her needles, hope she didn't get it too bad. I can still remember the itch from when I got it as a 3 year old.
Roya - HOw did your checkup go? It sounds like you got your hands full. Always challenging when they reach another stage where you have to adjust the discipline. Hope you find a solution soon.
As for us; Jasper came down with a cold last night, so we didn't get much sleep. His nose is running like a tap, poor thing. Yesterday we picked up the maxiclimber and set it up in the lounge room; he absolutely loves it. For his birthday we bought him a ride on tractor (Target, half price), just have to find a Xmas pressie now.
As for me, I am pregnant again! 5 weeks 1 day today, cautiously optimistic, but would like to be past the 7 week mark though, before getting too happy. So far feeling good.
Hi to everyone else!
-
Fantastic news Esme!! hope you're feeling ok.
My checkup was fine, got the 19 week scan coming up in a couple of weeks and DH keeps changing his mind re: finding out the gender. I think i've now decided not to find out. You can't change it anyway!!! We didn't find out for the girls and i think i want to treat this one the same. There are so few real surprises in life, i think i'll keep this one until the end!
I hope i don't come anywhere close to getting chicken pox though - i've never had it and it's quite a risk to me now that i'm pregnant let alone to bubba. So dd2 has to wait on her immunisation until after bubba #3 is born.
-
Esme - woohoo, that's fantastic news! I am sure all will be fine this time. How are you feeling?
Roya - it's a tough one whether or not to find out the sex. I really didn't want to and we didn't find out with DD but DH would like to this time so I am thinking of maybe finding out. Only 2 more days to go!
Jen - as I said in the other thread, way for a good scan and good on you for holding out and not finding out the sex! How is Amber's sleeping going now?
We went to Melb on the weekend and DD has a ball at the aquarium! She was even blowing kisses to the sharks, he he!
-
YAY Esme. I will keep quietly optomistic with you :D
-
hi girls.. a quick one
hope you are all doing well.
esme - how are you going?
-
Hi guys, thought I would pop in too.
How are things going Esme?
Roya - how are you and bubs going? Did you end up finding out the gender?
prama - how are you going?
Jen - haven't heard from you in a while, hope things are going well.
We had our scan the other day and I cracked and found out what we are having. It's a little BOY!!! I am sooo excited. Only having a sister and a daughter means I am pretty clueless when it comes to boys but I am really looking forward to figuring it out! Can't wait to meet the little one now. He is giving me some massive kicks already, I am expecting him to be a little muscle man already when he comes out!
