Hi all,
I have been reading but no time to post!!!
Hello to everyone and congratulations on your pregnancies!! wishing you all happy and healthy pregnancies!!!
Prama-- when we were ttc a girl our obstetrician recommended we abstain from dtd the day before the day of and the day after ovulation. Apparently boy sperm swim a bit quicker than the girls but don't live as long. Anyway I worked out when we were ovulating ( used an ovulation kit ) and it worked for us :)
Sophie is soooo busy. Trying to help with everything -- unstacking the dishwasher, hanging clotes out, giving me pegs, vacuuming etc. She also is obsessed with Hi 5 -- Benjamin showed her a DVD and now she comes and says "5" and points to the TV.
Wow its almost Christmas, can't believe how fast this year has gone. What is everyone getting their little munchkins???
Hope everyone is well. I am working tonight and tomorrow so hopefully not too busy.
Talk soon
Sue

sue -how are you???
did you abstain those 3 days - before, O day and after O day and DTD before that?
i have reading the O+12 method which asks to DTD 12 after O. i'm back to charting w temp, OPK and mucus observation. i cant believe ive forgetten how exhausting it is. Of cos w the temps, it's harder now when Lakshman wakes up in the middle of the night and you're supposed to have a good solid 3 hrs sleep AT least before temping which is very hard. and plus i just wake up randomly still to hear him on the monitor
no progress on our TTC. we're still too tired and im still sick. and we've also been thinking a winter baby will not be easy and my mum will really struggle w the cold. maybe a sept baby onwards.. i hope it doesnt sound selfish..
ive also joined the ttc thread but am feeling left out, the girls chatter and have already formed a bond.

Bye off to work

Hi All,
We're back from holiday (well...been back a while now...just haven't sat in front of the computer)! It was lovely to get up to sunny Q for a bit of warm weather. Although, it has been hot here since we left!! bring on summer I say! The holiday was good.....lots of babysitting opportunities, so DH and I got some time alone on the beach etc. felt like the old days!!!
i've been REALLY tired but other than that, this pregnancy is treating me well so far.
Good luck TTC Prama...hope it all goes to plan!
Hope all is well with everyone else.
I should go and do all that cleaning that i am avoiding!

hi.
sorry, just havent had a chance to post but been thinking of you all

Ah sorry I have been lazy. I read all the threads I subscribe to but dont really write much!
How is everyone?
A quickie from us. Amber has decided to hit the terrible twos very early. She has to have her way. She has a very fiery temper too. Sometimes I just lose patience with her. It gets very frustrating. I don't know how I will cope with a baby and her sometimes.
With #2. I found out recently that I am t have a caesar. My birth with Amber did a bit of damage where if I went natural again, there is a chance of doing some irrepairable damage. I feel a bit weird about it but I guess if it means we are all healthy, then so be it.
Enough from me. What is everyone else up to?
-
Hi girls,
Been a bit lazy too ...
Jen - I hear you about the terrible two's hitting early; Jasper is getting worse too. Lately it has been about sitting in the highchair and eating weetbix or having to go to bed, I am glad I am only in the second trimester and still able to physically manage him when necessary. It will be a whole lot harder on you . Sorry to hear you have to have a c/s, but as long as mum and bub are healthy. Do you know when?
As for us; Jasper is starting to say two words together now and he just keeps talking. I am not sure where he got that from as I and DP are on the quiet side. He is also wanting to be more and more independent, so we have loads of tanties. So far it is most of the time manageble with ignoring or time-out.
As for no. 2, I am 18 weeks now and will be having the 20 week scan at the 11th of December. I can't wait; the last time we have seen 'bean' was at 9 weeks. We will be finding out the gender but decided not to tell anyone (apart from you girls here of course!). I have been able to feel this bub move since week 13 and getting regular kicks now; even DP can feel them now, so that is very reassuring.
How is everyone else?

hi girls
jj - sorry to hear abt the c/s.. have they given you a date yet?
esme - how exciting seeing your bub and feeling kicks. it all seems so long ago
yeah, some things lakshman doesnt want to do anymore.. sitting in his highchair and having his meal. he'll only eat if we are out in the backyard, which is such a bad habit..
as for ttc - i dunno how you girls managed to DTD during O time. we are just too tired and lakshman is waking up a few times at night so how to BD??? sigh..
-
LOl prama. Well our surprise is sort of a honeymoon deal so the BD'ing sort of came with it!
We dont have a set date yet but will be booked in around the week of the 11th Jan. Will find out soon enough I guess.
Isnt their strong little wills just enough to make us pull our hair out at times
WOW Esme 18 weeks already. You are in the belly buddies group that one of my belly buddies from our first kid (bonham08) but she lost her little one unfortunately. Time certainly flies.
Bun- how are you going?
Hello to everyone.
-
Hi guys. Sorry I haven't been in for so long, just not finding the time these days!
jen - how do you feel about having to have a c-section this time? At least you can be sure the same damage won't be done as last time! Do you have any idea if this one is going to be another big bub?
esme - thanks for the advice re car seats and capsules. I think we will go the capsule this time - everyone I talk to seems to rave about them and it will be much easier to keep up with DD's various activities without waking up bub every time we get in or out of the car. Not long to go now til you find out the flavour of this one, woohoo! DD is also becoming very independent and difficult, she seems to have grown up so much lately and I am having trouble keeping up with her!
prama - lol! Well, this bub was a total surprise, so I have no advice for you either! I never even got AF back after having DD so had no idea that I was O'ing at all, other than a BFP a few weeks later! Good luck and have fun!
danda - glad to hear you had a nice holiday. It's always nice to have a break from the kids when you have people around to help out!
I am going ok but starting to feel very uncomfortable already and DD climbing all over me and always wanting to be picked up sure isn't helping! I am finding pregnancy much harder this time - I am definitely bigger and can't rest as much as I would like to because I am too busy with DD. All seems to be going well though - next appointment next week. I am sooo hoping this bub comes a little early - I think I will explode if I go to full term!

Hi girls,
Just a quick post to let you all know that I had my scan today and we are going to have little brother for Jasper!!! Everything looked good and spot on for dates with a 145 bpm heartbeat.
Bun - I love your new pic of Catherine; she is seriously cute!!! How are you feeling now? Hopefully Catherine and Jasper will be a little more indepent soon, as I also feel like a climbing frame sometimes; not easy with another one in there.
Jen - Wow, you are so close! Only Christmas holidays to survive first.... How are you feeling?
Prama - Lol, BD'ing isn't quite the same anymore when you don't know when the little rascal is going to wake up. We tried to time it as soon as Jasper fell asleep for his arvo nap because we knew we would get at least a whole 40 minutes to ourselves... Lucky I O'd on the weekend. I have to say it is a bit less spontaneous that way, but it did work.
Hi to everyone else!
-
YAAYY!! Esme !! congrats on a little brother for jasper!! hurray, how exciting!
lol and you could recycle Jasper's things!!
my temps having dropping the last few days so def not pg.. well there's the hols between xmas and ny to get pg!! LOL
-
Good luck Prama! Plenty of time in the holidays ;), can grandma babysit for a couple of days? I am looking forward to see your pregnancy anouncement, can't wait. Such an exciting time!
-
Congratulations Esme on another little boy. So easy when you already have little boys clothes!
Prama- Maybe the festive cheer will be what you need to become pg.
My child is having a tantrum. She is in front of the pantry and wants something I wont give her. She has become quite impossible of late. I also do not have any patience at the moment. How will I cope with a toddler and a baby?
I am still feeling a little funny about the c-sect. I still dont have a confirmed date either so we are a little in limbo at the moment.
Oh I better go and see how I can calm the toddler down.
-
I'm getting bit nervous.. my temps dropped all of last week and over the weekend till today it's back up. AF is due today. I havent tested as I;m also feeling a bit flu-ey. So maybe that's why the temp rise?
I mean I didnt think we'd get pg this cycle, as we DTD at night on the O day. So I just assumed we would have missed the egg.
I'll wait for AF today and if not test tomorrow...
Also I have a job interview today. It's a junior role and I applied for the heck of it as it's with our "partner" I liaise with them and they know me. I wasn't really expecting to be called for an interview either but I have it today. It would be ironic if they could offer me what I want and I;m pg at the same time.. I reckon they just want to have a chat with me and see why I applied..
Will post if AF is here today or if I test tomorrow.
Please NO mention on FB though.. I know you won't but you know how it is..
xoxo

Oh Prama...TEST!!!!!! I can't wait... It sounds like you could have just caught that eggie :crossfingers:. Good luck with your interview!
P.S. I will be stalking the preggy announcements from now on...
