Hi all,
having a hard time this week, DS2 is very grumpy (bored I think) and Sophie is just all over the place. She is waking once overnight and this is making me very tired and grumpy also. Not feeling clucky today :)
However I am watching them both eat spaghetti at the moment most of it is going on the floor but what Sophie can get in her mouth she is loving. Bit sick of cleaning up after my Cyclone Sophie.
Hope everyone is well
I want the Sun back so we can be outside
Talk soon Sue
-
Hi girls,
I know what you are talking about Sue, can't wait to go back outside. We had spag bol yesterday; Jasper loves it too. I am so glad we have a highchair that is very easy to clean and I just put newspaper underneath it to protect the carpet. Lucky it wasn't actually spagetti, but penne pasta; easier for him to pick up. Hear you on the nightwaking too; Jasper woke up three times last night, I think his teeth are playing up again. Does Sophie go back to sleep easily or do you have to settle her? I hope the mood in your house will lift soon
Jasper has been turning into a real toddler in the last couple of weeks. He used to be really good when out and about; listening and staying close, but lately he has been really defiant. When I ask him something he just stands there with a cheeky grin on his cute face or runs off. Sigh, I suppose it had to start at some stage... Actually glad he starts now, so hopefully we'll have some systems in place by the time bub two comes along to make things worse.
How is everyone else going?
-
Hi guys,
How is everyone going? We are in Perth staying with my family at the moment which is a lovely break. Catherine has her grandparents wrapped securely around her little finger and is loving it!
esme - glad to hear you are feeling well, although I know how annoying it is that when you feel well then you worry, it seems neverending! I hope Jasper starts sleeping better soon. DD has all her teeth now other than her last 4 molars but she dribbles constantly so I am wondering if maybe they are coming through. And as for the second tri energy, well that hasn't happened at all! I am feeling much better than I was in the first tri but still get quite tired, especially as DD is waking at night still and getting up really early. What I would give to just sleep in until 7am!!
prama - how are you going?
sueby - I hear you about cleaning up after little cyclone children! DD is the messiest eater I have ever seen - insists on feeding herself and she gets food EVERYWHERE! Plus she is into baked beans lately and they make such a mess!
karlie - I think an 11pd bubba would put me off having any more too! I am sleeping ok still but I think I am starting to get braxton hicks already and some nights my tummy just doesn't feel comfy and it is a little hard to get to sleep. And it is only going to get sooo much worse!!
Hi to everyone else, hope you are all doing well xx
-
LOL Bun, DD was 10lb 4.5 oz.... and I have gone back a second time with it all still fresh in my mind!
I hear you on the no energy. Are you taking iron tablets?
Sorry I have been quiet lately. Have been lazy and reading and not writing :)
Esme- How are you going there? My goodness you are 11 weeks already. Not long til you hit that 12 week mark now. Yep we have an independant toddler here too. The tantrums can get quite overwhelming at times. She has started flinging herself on the ground at times too which is just great.
Sue- Loved your Sydney pics. I cant believe how much Sophie has grown. We have a messy eater here too. She has also turned into a fickle eater. Will eat everything at daycare but then turns up her nose at stuff I cook her. We had Indian last night and she had some lamb curry sauce over rice with some veg in there and she wolfed it down. They are hard to predict. How are the boys with being back at school?
Prama- How is it all going there? How is L going?
Roya- How are you travelling? How many weeks are you now?
Hello to everyone else.
Not much else to report here. I feel huge at the moment. I have developed a real sweet tooth of late (well more than I had) so that adds up to it. I also had a scan to check my tearing from last birth to see if I can have a normal delivery or if I need a C/S but have to wait to find the results.
Oh does anyone have their kids in a big bed yet? We bought one for DD the other day. She loves going and jumping on it but I dont think she is ready for it yet.
Ok enough dribble from me. Happy Sunday all.

Hi there,
Jen - i'm 22 weeks and starting to feel big. I'm only about 5 ft tall so have a bigger bump than my friend who is due within a couple of days of me but she's tall and barely looks pregnant! I'm feeling ok though, just tired as usual.
What sort of scan did you have? Did you have a c-section last time? I've had 2 emergency c-sections and trying to research into whether i can have a normal birth this time or whether i'm going to be bullied into another operation.
Amelie has insisted on being in a big bed - namely a queen size bed! - since she was 16 months old!! Currently she's in our bedroom in the big bed, DD1 is in a single bed in her room and we're in the spare room.
But this will have to change very soon as the girls will need to share a room asap so that i can get back into my old bedroom with the new baby - and DH will probably move between being with me and being in the spare room when he really needs sleep to be able to function at work the next day!
DH just got a new job so between jobs we're having a 10 day holiday in Queensland - probably the last holiday for a couple of years so we're really looking forward to that. Some warmth and sunshine is going to be great after the winter here in Melbourne!
Hi to everyone else - good luck prama on the TTC - enjoy it!!
-
just saying bump bump!
nothing much to report on my end.. just saying hi!

Hi All,
Man I am bad at this thing......i always mean to get in here and post but just never find the time. I get your posts on my email, so i have kept up to date with what you guys have been up to (mostly).
Zoe is full on at the moment. She's giving me hell and being lovely and happy and compliant for EVERYBODY else!!! daycare, my mum's place and when DH gets home...she's a little angel...but for me, she won't eat, she won't get into the highchair, then she won't get OUT of the highchair....same with the pram and the car seat. basically, her favorite word for me is "NO"....she says it before i even finish my sentence!!!
...all that whinging...she is still absolutely gorgeos and her language is coming along SO fast it is astounding me!! It really is a great age isn't it!!
well...we have been TTC for about 8 months now and it looks like we are pregnant again. I have only one fallopian tube (after an ectopic pregnancy before Zoe was born)....so we are pretty excited!!
glad i finally got back....catch you all again soon.
-
omg!! congrats danda!!!!
when are you due? few of the ladies here are having bubs early next year!!
-
thanks heaps Prama!! it's still early days so i am treading carefully and after the ectopic etc. feeling a bit unsure....but if all goes well, we'll be due at the end of June/start of July (making me only about 5 weeks preggo now). fingers crossed!!
so many babies....they're popping out all over the place at our playgroup/mother's group too!
-
ooh you are just PG!
i hope you have a sticky one and Zoe will have a little bro/sister in winter!
-
What great news Danda, wishing you a very sticky bubba and a healthy and happy pregnancy!! How are you feeling?
Prama - Now we are just waiting for your pregnancy announcement ;). How are you, hun, still flat out at work? Did you get some help with the household chores?
Hi to everyone else. As of today I am 14 weeks preggers, very exciting. I am starting to feel slightly better, but am still waiting to get my energy back. Hopefully not too long to go.
Jasper is going well, he has got 8 teeth and one molar and is eating what we are eating (vegies and all). He is also starting to say a lot more words and he loves to nag me 'mumma, mumma, mumma, muuuuummmma (in a very sweet loving voice lol). He is also not listening as well anymore as he used to, but responds quite well to taking toys away/time out.
-
esme - hehe.. we are just trying to we'll see. we are going try the O+12 method to dtd just after O to try for a girl. we'll see then!
14 weeks, well into your 2nd trimester.. how are you feeling
jaspers so cute.. and such a good boy puttign thigns away :)
poopy goes mmaaa, mmmaa, mmaaa, maaaa, mmmmmaaaaaaaa too hahaha
-
Hi everyone,
Danda. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.
Prama- I have my fingers crossed for you. In a perfect world we would be having a boy to have one of each but I dont really mind. There are pro's and cons for both.
Esme- Wow that has gone quickly! 14 Weeks already!
Hello to everyone else. Not much going on here. Amber is being... well Amber and how can one little person make such a mess. She is still not eating properly at home but at daycare she eats everything they put in front of her so I am not really worried.
Thats all from me for now :D
-
thanks for your kind wishes everyone. i have been really well.....fingers crossed. i wasn't sick with Zoe either, so hopefully it will be the same this time.
We are off to sunny QLD tomorrow for a week, so i'll catch you all when we get back!
warm fuzzies to you all!
-
Congrats Danda, what fantastic news! Have a great holiday too :)
Well, looks like prama will have to join us soon at this rate, there are sooo many new babies on the way!
esme - Glad you are feeling better now and I hope your energy comes back soon. DD also goes Mummy mummy mummy muuuuummmm endlessly, it sends me around the bend sometimes!!
jen - how are you going? Can you believe we are in the third tri already? I have no idea where that time went. DD is also a huge mess maker and is so much better behaved at daycare than at home, grrrr.
Whose bubs are in big beds now? We are thinking of what to do with DD and whether we try to move her before the new bub arrives, but don't want to make things worse as her sleeping is still shocking! And does anyone have any recommendations for car seats for toddlers? I have heard a lot about the maxirider but am yet to start looking. Did anyone use a capsule with their bub and was it worthwhile?
-
Bun - we decided to buy another cot as Jasper's cot turns into a toddler bed anyhow (Boori), so he can keep things as normal as possible until he is ready to move on. He is still very happy in his cot and moves around too much to be able to stay in a normal bed.
As for a capsule, we hired one for Jasper for the first 3 months and we loved it (portability when bubs falls asleep), will hire again for a few months. I have had a look around for booster seat for Jasper and apparently there is a very safe alternative for the maxirider which is also cheaper, but less comfortable if you regularly go for longer trips. I did forget the brand though. Maybe look up the choice website to see what they recommend?
Danda - Enjoy your holiday!!
Jen - 29 weeks already; where does the time go? Lol, probably doesn't feel like that for you...
