Hey girls
Well I had a pretty good night until Harley woke at 5am and just fussed at the bottle, then took ages to wind, had a dirty nappy, and just wasn't happy cos he was holding wind in, so didn't get back down :( I started stressing a bit so said to Rob to take over... which I thought was fair enough considering I wake to every feed and he just lies there...
Jo ur research is very interesting... I would love to not give Harley the needles, but I guess I dunno wat I would do if he got one of the viruses or dieseases... but yeh I hate needle time and Kim u poor thing having to watch ur kids go thru that...I've been able to have Charlotte held each time as the nurse does it... but this time I think I'll have Rob holding Harley.
Kirsten, hope u and Ryley are better real soon, its no fun being sick...think I need to get the fess nose drops for Harley as he has a constant sniffle, ever since being back from Camping...
Well hopefully we have a good day today... hopefully getting my b'day pressie from Rob lol... he didn't get it in time for my b'day!

This is a post I tried to put in last Thursday.
Just a quick note to let know that we've been flat out getting things done around the house. Powerpoints and TV points in, furniture moved around. Dishwasher FINALLY in the kitchen and painter booked to paint the living areas & kitchen in 2 weeks!
Had Judd's weigh and measure Thursday. He's now a whopping 5.18kg. Was 2.77kg at birth! He's head is average and his length is slighly under average, but all in all he's doing well. MHN noticed his very muccusy, and I said that I've been having to fess him a lot lately. he then threw up his bottle, and she said that was muccusy as well, and that would make him throw up more.
Getting his shots this Weds, so will ask GP then. My carpal tunnel test came back normal, so I don't have that. So will ask GP next week what else could be causing my pins and needles symptoms.
Puppies, don't worry about the sex thing. We have 3 and we're doing it more now that we have for ages, and my DH is horny as hell and has never strayed. He doesn't have the time with 3 kids to run around after!! I think it's got something to do with the fact that I had my tubes tied and so we feel really free, as we used to use condoms and we hated them, so that put us off.
Catching up with Kim and the kids was hillarious! the girls are gorgeous and had these lovely dresses on but they kept falling over in them because they were a bit long! Then Judd wouldn't settle in his cot, and everytime I went into his room I had a little gathering of little people following me everywhere around the house! Zach was great. I can't believe how settled he is. Must be the genes! Hope to do this regularly so we can see the kids growing up.
Judd had another bad day today. Just don't know what's wrong sometimes, but thankfully it was on a weekend, so I get lot's of help. We bought a plasma yesterday, my DH is in heaven now. It's great, but not really a turn on for me as it is for him, iykwim!!

LOL we had a great time too Tash...im sorry my little followers wouldnt leave you alone....they tend to be like lost dogs at time and watch my every move too. They like to see whats going on when babies are involved! Yep their dresses were a bit to long ;)
I would love to have regular catch ups....it would be good for all 6 kids (omg..6 lil buggers at once as they grow..LOL....we'll have our own little child care centre).
Zach is pretty settled most of the time...we have our days that are shocking.
Well this weekend we began the hunt for a baby sitter so we can get out on a Saturday night 1-2 times a month. I have a lavely lady coming over on Wednesday night to interview her. Hope it goes well. Tuesday im having my hair done..im so excited!

Kim so happy that you are getting some you time and getting your hair done. I know how important it is for that to happen on a regular basis.
I had a good weekend with JD. Saturday he and I feel asleep on the lounge together until he woke up screaming and throwing his right arm in the air. I think he had a bad dream and I couldn't console him lucky he was due for his next fed so that seemed to calm him down, poor little man. Sunday I took him to watch his first baseball game (that is what DH plays every weekend). He was good to start with then he did a poo while we were driving there and then not long after that he was crying and he cried all the way there. I changed his nappy when I got there and it took me a while to calm him down but then he just switched off and slept through the entire game. I even fed him his next fed while he was still asleep. He slept almost half the way home and woke up crying and cried all the way home which was so horrible. I could see he had sicked up all over himself but could not pull over to tend to him. When I got him home I was cuddling him and kissing him, I was so upset for him and he slept in my arms and I just couldn't put him down. We had some friends drop around to see him which was nice. Then I had to go grocery shopping and I was going to take him but at the last minute decided he had enough new things today so I went by myself. Then we went to SIL for dinner and again I had him asleep in the sling on me and I just didn't want to put him down. I am so in love with him I just can't get enough of him. I like my breaks from him but my heart yearns for him. Its such a lovely feeling, its shame these feeling were delayed for so long, but at least I have them now.
Oh and again this morning he did not wake up asking for his dummy. Thats 2 nights in a row... I am so happy about that. He is still asleep I know I should be as well but I couldn't anymore, so might as well get up and get his stuff ready for Mothers Group this morning.
Hope you all have a nice day.

Girls did I tell you my cousin recommended a dvd call Dunstan Baby Language? Not sure if you have heard of it or not but I ended up buying it at Babies Galore and it is wonderful. It explains that no matter what nationality a baby is they generally cry certain words which mean certain things like hungry, tired etc. Then they give you examples of real babies crying each word so that you can start to learn to hear and recognise the word. Its meant to help know what your baby is needing so that you can tend to them quickly.
Anyway, here is the website in case you want to know more.

Sounds like you had a pretty good weekend over all Amanda.
We have that DVD, a friend of ours burnt a copy when Jasmine was born. Personally it done nothing for me, but our friend swears by it. After a while you get in tune with your babies cries and you can tell what it is they are wanting.
Lastnight Zach had a shower at 10, fed at 1030..and was out like a light by 1045...and never woke til 730am! Was lovely :)
Have a good week ladies!!

YAY - I got my Avatar :D
Hey Ladies - sorry I have been MIA, time just flies when there is a little one to take care of - as you all know ;)
I'm putting my hand up for number two already!! I am just enjoying being a mum so much. I guess it helps when you have such an easy bub - I feel very lucky. We are thinking of trying for no. 2 once DS is about 2, but who knows??
Immunisations - My brother tried to talk me out of getting them for DS, but I just don't know enough about either side of the argument to refuse them IMO. I think I will take my chances with the Drs. Each to their own though. I am definitely not looking forward to it!
Kim & Tash - how great you guys got to catch up, must be a full house when you two get together hehe.
Amanda - sounds like things are going well for you. As for DTD, I would have thought once a week was plenty when you have a new bub, but thats just me  We only DTD for the first time last week - I had been a bit scared to before that due to the large amount of stitches I had!! I was pleasantly surprised though - no pain at all.
Question: Do you ladies put your bub in his/her bed for daytime naps? We have a 2 story house and our bedrooms are upstairs so I have been letting DS nap on the couch downstairs so I am near him. I decided a few days ago I should start putting him in his bed for a nap, but he just stirs and grizzles and remains wide awake! I have no problems putting him down at night, but during the day he just wont sleep in his bed? Could this be because I have let him get used to napping with me close by? Any suggestions on how I could get him to nap in his bed :dunno:
Oh and after a crazy growth spurt last week we are now getting 6 hours straight each night - Woooo Hoooo!!
-
Hehehe - After half an hour of grizzling, DS is finally asleep in his bed!!!! It seems persistance is the key :)

Lilcosmo we have a double storey too with Ruby up with her bassinette next to our bed upstairs. We currently have a porta cot/play cot as well as a pappoose carrier thing that we have downstairs that she naps in during the day as her sleeps are still developing into a set time.

As for dtd..um think once a week at this point would be heaps lol! We have dtd three times since Ruby was born!

At mothers group today we went through sleep and settling. The lady told us that we should put the babies in their beds during the day for their sleeps. She also said that you should put baby to sleep in the same place where they will sleep. But I am not sure I totally agree. We are not always home and I want JD to learn to sleep anywhere in any noise, light and situation not just in his room in his bed etc. I usually get him to sleep in the sling then put him down in his cot or pram during the day. That suits me better so that I can go for a walk if I want without disturbing him.
Steph, how is your mums group going? Have you made some friends?

Hi girls..
I was thinking the same thing the other day the Melbourne girls should all have big catch up would love to meet you all and your bubbas :D
Well the fess drops worked like a charmed..I am slowly getting better..Ryley will be 2 months in 5 days then he have his needles..Eek..I am jealous of those who babies sleep through Ryley slept for 5 hours then in went back to 3 but he only has one 1 feed during the night though..He sometimes goes to sleep when he has his bottle so I change his nappy and he wakes up and haves the rest well sometimes. Lol.
Well hope you all are well
