Hi Bon
it was so sad wasn't it and I know that most epople thnk John Williamson is daggy but I reay love how australian he is. I only caught the end of the service, saw his daughter talk, she is an amazing little girl. When they showed the pics of him and his kids and terri I was a bit teary too, it is such a sad sad thing, a shame really. Just shows the fact that life is fragile.
Wow on you being not far off, Jemma was 19mths when I had Jess and I was amazed at how she seemed to grow up over night, I am sure you saw the same thing with Harry. I am sure all will be fine, there is always some jealousy.
Hugs to everyone, I hope you are all well, it is quiet atm, everyone must be busy. It is school hols in Vic, what about the other states? Only day 3 lol will be glad whne kids are back at school lol

Hi everyone, soryy for being such a slacker lately. I've been reading but never seem to post.
My big news is that Yasin made his first sentence this morning! Just a couple of months ago I was worrying because he had hardly any words at all and now he has a sentence!!! The sentence was "I do poo" LMAO. It was actually a fart LOL but I was still impressed by his grasp of the concept. Maybe I'll be able to TT this summer - fingers crossed.
I saw a bit of the Steve Irwin funeral because Yasin turned the TV. I really feel for Terri with 2 kids to raise on her own.
Imran is on my lap and he's getting bored so I'd better entertain him.

Hmm..i never seem to get notifications for this thread!
Lily is doing well. Acting very grown up most of the time. Likes to help out heaps. Also the other day she learned how to put her gumboots on by herself! So proud of her. She is turning into a very girly-girl. Loves me doing her hair, playing with my make-up, wearing my shoes. I also think she knows what a baby is. We bought her one of those baby born dolls a few months ago and she goes everywhere with it, saying bubby-bubby. Whenever she sees a real baby, she says bubby-bubby, so cute. Her words are coming along nicely too. She can now say, mum, dad, bubby, puppy, tickle, hello, bye-bye, me, mine. Also says dubby, but we still don't know what that is! We've started toilet training too. Got one of those little seats that goes ontop of the normal toilet seat. We sit her on it before bath every day. No action yet, but she seems to enjoy herself on it! Not long to go until #2 arrives either, only 3 weeks until EDD! Getting loads of preassure and braxton hicks and hes engaged, so hopfully i wont go over this time.
-
Wow Tegan only 3 weeks to go! Hope you are managing to take it easy, I know how hard those last weeks can be. I am feeling over this pg already and I am only 31 weeks! Lily sounds so cute. Grace likes her baby doll too and she loves wearing my shoes and using all my toiletries. She watches me rub cream into my belly after a shower and she has to do it too.
Dach - LMAO at Yasin's first sentence! That is a great story to embarrass him with when he is older!:D
Michelle - You are right, everything will probably be fine after the baby comes, Grace will probably enjoy being a big sister and she does love babies so the biggest issue will probably be her wanting to 'help' mummy or 'play' with her sister!
Anyway it is definitely time for me to get off this computer!
-
Awesome first sentence, DAsch! :D Wolf does that sometimes too... also annouces or explains other bowel movement ("Fart!"). Today we went to this really nice furniture place and I plonked him on the counter to get out my handbag and he let one rip and looked at the gay guy behind the counter and went "Wolf fart!" - he did not look impressed but I was almost ****ing myself laughing...
Wow - Tegan, I can't believe it's only 20 days until your EDD!! Where has time gone?
I saw Bindi speak on the smh website and it made me all teary.
Oh - before I forget - great news!! Wolf is FINALLY getting more teeth!! (he had only 6 before) he is getting another tooth at the bottom front (=no.3) and 2 molars either side. After waiting for like 10 months for some more teeth, it's such a relief that he is getting them (my mom had me all worried with weird kiddie teeth stories - kids with no baby teeth, kids with no second teeth, you name it...)
Wolf can count to three in both German and English (after that he gets a bit mixed up, both language wise and order wise, lol, so cute) but still gets colours totally mixed up. He will see a red car and go "Blue Mini" (brand is right, colour wrong). he can tell a Mercedes from a BMW, smart car from a mini ... it's so funny. Such a boy thing, huh? but then again he LOVES handbags. He keeps on snatchin our nanny's handbag and dangles it from his elbow - it's such a funny sight. I think DH is mortified. I am kinda tempted to buy Wolf a kiddie handbag just to freak our hubbie :D. He also seems to like Barbie... does anyone remember the Friends' episode where Ross flips when his son has a Barbie? I asked DH what he would do. He said "My son is not getting a Barbie!" ... are all males like that? Is that such a bad thing? A girl is alowed to play with cars, why can't boys play with dolls/handbags?
Oh well... instead Wolf pushes his Tiger around in his stroller and feeds him rice and cake (imaginary and real). He is so cute with all his stuffed animals. We have a lot of teaparties ... and I keep finding rice cake bits in our near stuffed animals mouths. It seems nurturing is not just a girl's thing.
I actually love having such a gentle, caring boy.
Tiger is going everywhere with him at the moment. Today Tiger had to look at everything and try everything that Wolf did. He would lift up the Tiger and point him at things that he thought were interesting and go "Look, Tiger, BMW"
Recently he refuses to get into the stroller, so our walks are not getting anywhere anymore unless I (or DH) carry him. It's a bit frustrating but it beats the hell out of going down the high street with a SCREAMING toddler in your stroller. The other day BOTH of them were screaming (I think Zara just decided something had to be wrong if her big brother is screaming) and I was soooooooo mortified. It's hard to keep your calm with 2 screaming kids, isn't it...
MOnday the removalist is coming and packing the "non essentials" ... I wonder what they think is essential... hoping we are not left with just our beds, 2 undies, one knife and a glass at the end of the day... I am packing all the "personal" stuff, so have been sorting through sooooooooo much stuff (and been throwing out clothes left right and centre). It's a really nice and cleansing exercise actually... you accumulate so much stuff in just a year... and I have had so many really gungy clothes... time for those to go... they are so yucky I don't think I can even donate them... *blush* - scary to think I still wore a few of them...

Hi all
I can't remember what I posted last time but it has been ages since I posted!
ASha is now pretty much TT! She wears knickers all day except for sleeps but hasn't quite got the poo in the toilet thing happening just yet!
She is growing up way to quickly. She loves to sing and will happily sing all day. She often asks "what should I sing now Mum?" and the range of songs grows each day her favourites are
Mary had a little lamb
1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive
Humpty Dumpty
The alphabet
Incy wincy spider
3 cheeky monkeys
Happy birthday
5 fat sausages
Download this song (LOL it so funny she only knows the chorus and when it is on the radio she goes mad and dances like there is no tomorrow!!!)
Twinkle Twinkle
She loves to dance so I think we will go to dancing lessons next year. Will see if I can fit it in with everything else!
After dinner tonight the kids were asking what their names would have been if the were opposites ... Emma would have been Samuel, Jack would have been Asha and Asha would have been Seth ... so for about an hour Asha was talking about Jack is a boy, Emma is a girl, I'm a little sister, Emma is a big sister, Jack is a big brother. Then she started saying she was a little brother and that her name was Seth. We asked her what her name was and she said Seth and then asked her if she was a girl or a boy and she said boy. She got upset if we said she was a girl and wouldn't talk to anyone if they called her Asha!
She is such a monkey ... but growing up way to quickly.
Tegan ... good luck with everything ... not long to go now for you.
Christy ... hope things are going well for you all too.
Snowy ... YAY for Wolf getting more teeth. Asha loves farts LOL they always make her laugh and then she looks at us and with a huge smile on her face says pardon me and then laughs. When anyone elses farts she is happy to announce it to the world!!!
Bon ... not long for you either ... wow all these new babies to be excited about! I will be living vicariously through all of you!!!
Chloe ... great to hear that the language is developing. It is so great once they can tell you what is going on in their heads!!! Happy to swap though you can have Asha who never seems to shut up LOL!!!
Michelle ... we have one more week of school before we start holidays and then I have two wonderful glorious weeks off work ... Em & Jack are off to their Dad's on the 1st Thursday and won't be back until the last Friday. Asha will miss them but I will be happy to not have the constant fighting that seems to be escalating of late. Hope your holidays aren't too bad!
Ok well it is now 12.37am here and I guess I should head to bed and get some sleep before Miss Asha decides it is time to start the day. I have very little voice left after screaming at my TV this afternoon watching my beloved Crows lose to the Weagles. Shame I have to go to work this week ... have to put up with a week of people rubbing it in my face!!!! Oh well ... GO THE SWANIES!!!!
Cheers

Hi girls
wow a rush of posts.
Snowy- hope the removalist goes well, lol at both screaming it is very hard to keep calm. Yay for wolf's teeth and I was pmsl at the fart too.
Kelly- bad luck bout the crows, but hols very soon. IKWYM bout the fighting it can drive you crazy can't it? Asha's singing sounds gorgeous. Jess sings the fifi song and also she loves twinkle too.
Dasch- what a clever boy with his first sentence, I agree def one to bring up at special occasions lol
Tegan- so close hope you get lucky and your little man comes early
BOn- that last part can drag can't it hope you are getting some rest it can be hard with other kids.
nothing to report here, hope CHristy, Jo, Michelle and Jessica are well

Hi everyone
Well I had a bit of a shocker of a weekend. On Friday at lunchtime Grace suddenly started vomiting and pretty much didn't stop after that - she couldn't even keep water down. She started going very pale and was lethargic so it was off to emergency for us. She got seen pretty quickly and she ended up with a drip in for fluids and an overnight stay on the kids ward. It was a case of gastro, so no nasty blood infections or anything, but it hit her really hard, poor thing. She just went downhill so fast. I had noticed she was a bit off in the morning but she was still playing and eating so I thought she must have just been coming down with a cold or something, but then the vomiting started.
In the morning she was well enough to come home, which was good. She is better now - she has had a bit of diarhhoea which I was told to expect and she still hasn't got her appetite back but she is getting back to her normal self. There must be something going around as at emergency there were three other young kids with the same thing. Harry and me are unlikely to get it now - if we were going to we would have got it by now, but I still have no idea how Grace got it. They did find a very small amount of bacteria or something in her blood test but as she is on the mend they are not concerned as it could just be a contaminent in the blood test. And she did have a big dose of antibiotics at the hospital, just in case.
Poor darling she was very brave at the hospital. It's amazing how kids take things in their stride. It's funny, at the hospital the kids ward is right next door to the birthing suite and maternity ward, so as I was dozing off to sleep on Friday night I thought to myself, well if bubba wants to come now then I am in the right place! She chose not to though which is good!
-
Oh Bon how awful for poor Grace, hope she is all better tomorrow, little ones can be hit hard with gastro, I know that when it went through all of mine the worst was Jess and she is so tiny she def can't afford to lose weight.
I am having a stressed out day today, slept late so kids were late for the pool by half an hour and then kept looking around at the house and praying for the bloody cleaning fairy cos I have so much to do and can't seem to get it done.
Also Jess has been very naughty, scraeaming all the time, cos I think she is tired, out of whack cos school holidays means they don't go to bed on time and Jemma is very sooky too. Arron has booted off fishing which made it worse and that also means I won't be able to go to the gym as Iplanned cos no one to mind the kids, really ****s me cos he does whatever and I have to wait on him to do things. Anyway josh is at a friends and their dd is here so it is an all girls house. I spent yesterday arvo cutting material for santa sacks and m coming to the end of practicing my xmas designs. And a gf has reminded me it is 91 sleeps till xmas whicxh is a bit stressful as no shopping has been done here yet. And then Arron asks me to book him flights for a fishing trip to darwin, which I told him is not on as otherwise we will not be at his brothers wedding. Some men are so selfish and have no idea bout money. I think I should hand all the bills to him and tell him to pay them and also do all the xmas shopping as wel, then see how stressed he is.
Hope all of you are well
Michelle

Bon - sorry to hear about Grace ... I had to pick Asha up from daycare early today as she has had the runs! Got her home and she said "I got smelly poos Mum" and when I checked her nappy there was a very yellow nugget in her nappy. Oh well work has organised someone for tomorrow so a day off it is for me!!! YAY! She could probably do with a day home anyway. The kids will enjoy not having to race around in the morning.
Better go have to amke sure the kids get to basketball on time.
Cheers
-
Kelly hope Asha is ok. I saw on the news that doctors are warning of an outbreak of rotavirus particularly among babies and the elderly. I certainly saw that at the hospital the other day - there were at least 3 other small children with vomiting in emergency.
Grace is pretty much back to her usual self now, except she still has no appetite. I am wondering whether to get her a supplement or something, but she is improving every day so I think she will probably be eating like normal within a few days. Apparently it can take a while for the virus to get out of your system.
Michelle - arrgh christmas! I do love it but IKWYM about the stress. I have been thinking that it would be a good idea to get the present shopping done now before I have the baby but the last thing I want to do atm is go to the shops! I have told DH we will just get vouchers for everyone! LOL. He doesn't like them as they are not 'personal' enough but personally I love getting them, and it would be so much easier.
I have been trying to get a new tmx elmo for Grace's birthday but of course they have sold out everywhere. I have put an order in on Kmart Direct their internet shopping thing and I may still be able to get one, if they can get more stock in. Otherwise it will have to be a xmas present!
Hope everyone is well

hi girls - just a quick post to say we're still alive - sorry dont have time for personals
i had a scare last week with some bright red bleeding so have been taking it easy & had a scan monday morning & all is good - have a blood sac above the uterus that is called implantation bleeding that may or may not bleed again - at least i saw little peanut & it waved an arm bud!!! heartbeat was 174bpm - eliana is growing up way too fast can count to 10 & backwards but gets a bit lost around 6 - is good with the alphabet (her version like d for daddy, m for mummy etc) she is still teary when left at child care though loves her day there when she goes over that - she said "i love you" last night & it brought me to tears! we are going to surfers for the week from monday - my best friend is coming up with her 5 year old & 7 week old boys so will be great to catch up & relax a bit
anyway hope everyone is doing well
-
Wow Melissa, Eliana is growing up way too fast! Glad everything is OK with you now though.
OK Bon, can you please tell me what the heck is a TMX Elmo? I have heard heaps of people raving about it, but I can't figure out what it does differently to to 50,000 other Elmo's there are LOL.
Paige has finally worked out how to undo her nappies!!! She wears knickers quite a lot now anyway, and has shown some interest in going to the toilet, but we are still a way off yet. I got some of those Wiggles toilet wipes for her yesterday to try to encourage her to go to the toilet too. She is just growing up way to fast for me now. Her speech improves everyday and she really knows how to push Lindsay and Erin's buttons LMAO.
-
HI girls
Mel glad things are ok with your bub.
Hope everyones bubs stay off the sick list. Jess has a runny nose again and is very rough on the skin (a bit of excema). I went to a supplier today and brought stuff arron has been working on his car all day. My house is a mess and a gf is dropping up inthe morning but I am very tired, finally got to the gym tonight, haven't been since friday. Did most of my program, but it was awful cos I had eaten dinner and just felt sick.
Jordan lost her ipod yesterday and after searching the whole house it turned up in one of her clothes drawers at 11pm last night. She is at a friends tonight. Josh and jemma are still up, so I better go and et them to bed.
hello to everyone
-
Hi all
Sherie - a tmx elmo is the new tickle me elmo, except he is new and improved! He giggles (of course) then he bends over, rolls around on the floor, gets himself back up again...he is more active I suppose. I know Grace would love him, if I can get one!
Grace has recovered fully from the gastro - she has her appetite and her energy back. But now Harry has it! I thought we had managed to avoid it, but no. He is not as bad as Grace was, probably because he is bigger and he has also had it before. But I am getting sick of cleaning up spew!
Not much else going on here...
-
HUgs Bon, poor Harry, I was you about a month ago so I sympathise.
I amn doing a scrapbooking demo today so am flying through, just checking emails so thought I'd pop my head back in
grand final tomorrow, any plans?
-
We are off to the show tomorrow ... the kids haev jsut taken themselves off to bed without having to be reminded!!!
School holidays have begun ... woooooohooooooooo ... might get a chance to do more than just read.
Cheers
-
Haha Kelly- hope you have a good school hols, ours are ending, school goes back tomorrow and I am very glad LOL My parents took the 2 older kids to the Royal Melb show and it cost them over $400 in total. They brought ea of the 5 grandkids 2 showbags, had lunch there and let the kids go on a fair few rides. But I was right we really do not have the money to take all the kids and go.
I am feeling a little down atm, just maybe got to do with having the kids in my pocket 24/7 and the house has been trashed no matter how much I clean it, arron adn I have been arguing a bit as you do, and I am just feeling overwhelmed I guess. Josh just keeps pushing me and pushing me, sometimes I just have to get away from him cos I am sure I will do something to him. I wish there was a magic wand to deal with him.
yesterday everything I sewed stuffed up and Jemma had gastro, arron and the 2 kids went to our friends to watch the Grand final, and I just coiuldn;t bring myself to do anything. I have been to the gym once all week too which is ****ting me, hopefully this week will be better.
hope you are all feeling better than me
hugs

Back from teh show in one piece but about $300 lighter in the pocket. Not bad for 5 of us. The kids got 2 showbags each and went on one ride and had about 3 sideshow games. The both wanted to win something for Asha. We took lunch with us so only had to buy a snack later in the afternoon. The kids were great and happy to do things that we wanted to do. They are both growing up so quickly and I will say that I think we have brought up two pretty fantastic kids, who at times I could easliy strangle, but the showed us today how fantastic they can be and how much they think about others.
I am so happy we had a family day out ... didn't get off to a great start. Ryan got a call at 5 this morning to say that work had been broken into ... they made a pretty big mess from the sounds of it. So we nearly didn't go to the show!
So today I can honestly say ... I/We are bloody fantastic parents!!! LOL
Cheers

Hi girls!! Sorry I've been MIA in this thread lately... dunno... maybe preggo brain has lapsed... life has been about preparing for baby. I guess its about time ;)
Things have been getting better, feeling a bit better physically which is great. Matilda is going great guns atm with behaviour. We've been working really hard on our Triple P program and I can say that we have had 1 extreme tantrum in 2 weeks!!! Hooray! So 3 months ago we were having 1-2 extreme tantrums a day to 1 a fortnight. I'm so relieved & happy. Because we can deal with them in smaller doses. And it doesn't wear on you as much when you can go a full day without any tantrums. Relief! I highly recommend the Triple P courses and independant councilling for families who have full on tantrum behaviour. Its just a confidence boost that you are doing things right & then you can continue to do things the right way with the support you are given and things change if you are consistent.
I will come back more regularly I promise!!
-
Kelly-so good to hear you had a great day
Christy- that is great news re the program and Matilda's behaviour, what a relief for you all to not have to deal with the constant tantrums. Just in time too, cos not long to go now for you. So are you all set and ready to go?
Well I have beed much saner since school went back. Got some sewing done, but sadly my shopping cart didn't go on my website yet, I am blaming it on the grand final cos it took the weekend up. I wish I could do something from my end to get it going.
Kids are well, have to send off forms for Jemma's 4yo kinder next yr, so won't be able to take any money out of my account from now till friday so they can cash the cheque, so poor again lol, lucky payday is friday.
anyway see ya all
-
Why hello there ladies!!
Can I rejoin this little thread? ;)
Oh my there is so much to catch up on- but i will try!!
Kelly- you do have two awesome big kids- they are so lovely :) Michelle!!! I cant wait to talk to you about our little ones again.
Chrsity WTG with Matilda- I am stoked for you.
Will tell you all about us soon! LOL
-
I have a question for you all...
When your kids started talking more, would they say a word then not use it several weeks after? Lily has been saying a lot of new words lately and will say them 4-5 times in a row then won't say them again or not til ages later. Like about a week ago she re-peated the word 'tiger' but hasn't said it since. Today she has been excellent. Her new words today were ball, bowl, belly, Teddy and she tried to say Lily, but only managed 'Lee'. I can pretty much guarantee she wont say them again for awhile. The only words she uses every day are mum, dad, bubby, yum, bye bye, ni ni(for goodnight), hello, hey and puppy. which is whole lot better than a couple of months ago. She also points to some body parts when i say them(hair, face, nose, foot, hand). She is growing up so fast. The only problem i do have with her is her extreme tantrums. Nothing is working. I wrote a post about it a week or so ago. Since then its become a nightmare. For instance, she hates being in her car seat. She can get out of the straps and they are as tight as they go. Well yesterday, we went out shopping. Came back to the car and put her in her seat. But she wouldnt let us strap her in. She went completely mental. hitting and screaming, we couldn't go near her. This went on for 30 minutes! Im just not sure what to do anymore. It can't continue, especially when bub comes along, which is very very soon (have an induction date for next week). Just feel really helpless about it..
-
Just a quick one from me. In the middle of the move to Switzerland. We arrived here 2 days ago but the house is full of boxes and I am so knackered at the end of each day, trying to make this new place a home. I think it will be crazy until we actually return from Oz (i.e. end January). 6 weeks is not a lot of time to set up a new place... esepcially when it comes without curtains or lightfittings... lots to do...
Wolf has 3 new teeth, did I mention? 2 molars and 1 front tooth at the bottom. So there you go... he DID get more teeth after all.. :D
Pee - great to see you here again! :hello:
Well, am reading but no time for personals. Have to say hi to my Feb 06 moms and then go to bed
Snowy

Hi all
Well the kids are all better which is good! Only a couple of weeks until Grace's 2nd birthday. I am debating whether to have a party or not. I am leaning towards not and just having a couple of people for morning tea. I don't think I am going to be able to get elmo for her, so he will have to be a xmas present!
Kelly - that's great that you had a good day with the kids, it's nice to feel validated as a parent. Good on you!
Christy - It's good to hear that Triple P has worked so well for you! I went to a couple of sessions on this back when Harry was about 12 months, mainly out of interest because he still so young at that stage, but I have kept the books and they really come in handy. Wow, not long till your bubba is here!
Pee - Hi! Good to hear from you! What have you been up to?
Tegan - I am sorry you have to deal with difficult behaviour from Lily, especially so close to having the new baby. I don't really have any suggestions, except that maybe you should look into the Triple P program, like Christy has done. You might be able to get info on it from your child health nurse. Believe me, I know how hard it is when they have such extreme tantrums. Harry had the most disgusting tantrum at the shops the other day - I have not seen anything like it from him before and I hope I never see it again. Now I am scared to go to the shops with the kids!
Michelle - glad you're feeling better now the kids are back at school! I have been feeling a bit down the last week too - just the usual about the state of the house and the kids being terrors (not always but enough!) and feeling tired and heavy from the pg...I know I will get over it and feel better soon. I have started getting the nesting urge, but the trouble is I can't be bothered doing any housework - I want to, but my body doesn't! So instead I just dwell on all the mess! I have started not wanting to go out much too - I did the same when I was pg with Grace - I just wanted to stay close to home. That, and the fact that I can't take these kids anywhere lately without them playing up. Anyway enough whinging. I have to go enrol Harry for 4yo kinder next week. I know he is going to really enjoy it.
Wow this post turned into a bit of an epic!
-
It has been ages since I've written anything - sorry girls busy with the school holidays - should be quiter for us, no playgroup, no gymbaroo etc but we seemed to be busier. Go figue. I looked after my friends 4 year old during the holidays, only 1 day each week, but boy it was a little testing. I guess if it is your own 4 year old you can send them to their room etc! Mackenzie had fun with her though and she was a devil to watch - just teasing and waiting to pounce! I managed to clean our storage room and laundry cupboards out aswell, this was a huge challenge, not just because of the amount fo junk we have managed to accumulate over the last 18 months but also because Mackenzie was such a big helper (not!). Everytime I took something out it went straight back in. Once I did have an empty shelf I'd turn around and Mackenzie was in there! It was very funny. We also went visiting a GF who has a newborn. It was a full day out for us as she live on the otherside of the westgate. Her bubba was soooo cute and Mackenzie just can't get enough of babies, so that was a great day. We also had a trip to the dentist as Mackenzie managed to slip in the bath and chipped her front tooth. She screamed, I was devasted and needless to say we are off to the dentist tommorrow to get it fixed. The dentist was fantastic as it happened at 4.30pm on a Friday and they had packed up but still saw us. I was worried about how she would go but the dentist who looked fresh out of Uni was great with her. I think I will go there in future, maybe I'll get a sticker for being good too!
I have read all the posts - too many to respond to but I hope you are all well. Tegan, not sure what you can do with Lily's behaviour. Hopefully it is just a 'stage' that she will overcome VERY soon.Good luck for next week, we will be thinking of you. Snowy good luck with the unpacking, isn't it amazing how much junk you can collect in a short amount of time!
Must run Miss M is waking.
-
hi, i thought i would come and join in this forum, i didn't know that one was here for children my DD age.
A little bit about my self, i have two DD Madison who is 23 months and Charlotte who is 11 weeks, I am toilet training Madison at the moment and today is the first day she is wearing undies at home. I live in Pakenham vic.
-
*hugs* Tegan I know how you feel. Thats about all I can say... its so hard & heartbreaking when they have those tantrums & scary too. Because most of the time its a safety issue. We had such issues over getting into the car seat. I now stock lollies in the car as bribery when I'm not up to the fight myself. Its not for her sake, but mine. I say "Matilda you can have a lolly when you sit in your seat properly" (before she even has a chance to think about fighting it) and she goes in straight away. But Matilda is soooo suckered in by treats. I think because we don't give her lollies or chips or anything yummy LOL she has to earn them by good behaviour & she is sooo addicted to them. I just have to show her the tick tacs & shes a perfectly behaved child... :)
Hi Kelly! Welcome! WOW at Maddison TT!!! Well done!
Maddison is gorgeous!!
Michelle & Bon, I hope things in your house settles down with the big kids in school. WOW.... I dread school holidays now because of the shops... I can't imagine what it will be like to have your house turn into meyham for a week at a time.
Snowy I hope your move finishes very smoothly.
Me... well.... I've been trying to prepare & getting overwhelmed at the same time. I think this baby could stay put a bit longer & I'd be very very happy. BH's are a pain though... happening all the time, daily... on/off for hours which doesn't help because I get so tired & then I get grumpy with Matilda. She's handling it like a trooper though. We went to the shop today & usually I have to be so mentally prepared to do a quick trip in Coles & if I want to glance in another shop its full on, but she was a star. Laughing & chatting with the oldies around her.... YAY! I can't believe the change in my child...
Its DH's birthday today & Matilda helped me make his cake (another first...) and she insisted on balloons & party hats when he came home, so cute. She sang "Happy Birthday to Tilda" though... which was hilarious & helped daddy blow out the candles on his cake. All in all a really good day. She didn't sleep well for her nap & got pretty cranky this arvo which wore me out, but she's doing great now.

hi girls
slacko here lol, been reading but not posting as such cause really don't have much to say lol.
wow christy and bon and tegan not long at all for you guys am eaglery waiting birth announcements.
not much going on here, miss lani is being a devil - tantrums have hit again lol - but hey we will get over them, eg today she wanted her shoes on, so we put them on then she said jay school, i said no jay is still learning and not time to pick him up for another 1hr well she started screaming kicking and throwing herself down, oh well i just got up and hung the washing out lol. i really don't like the tantrums as i remember jessie having big ones and i don't remember jay being like this, so of course i think the worse with lani, thinking omg her behaviour is so much like jessies was, and then i think of the worse ykwim, however mum assures me that jay was exactly the same, but i was just in a fog between his 2nd and 3rd year she also says that lani's behavious is alot different to jessies, lani is just being a normal strong willed 2yr old.
still a shocker at eating, but i have her on liquid pentavite now so at least she is getting some sort of vitamin - god knows shes not getting it from anywhere else.
jay is also great in the mornings he gets her out of bed, she yells out at around 7.00am jay lani wake, so he comes and asks if he can get her, she loves it but comes running in mummy bottle bottle with her lip dropping cause she doesn't understand that her brother can't quite reach the microwave to warm it for her lol. she is in a cot still and will be till she is at least 3, (even if another baby does come to our house lol) i had jessie in a bed at 18mths and that was difficult, jay didn't go in a bed till he was just over 3 no reason he was just happy in the cot, i tell you that transition from cot to bed for him was excellent.
no toilet training her atm - done a few wees on the loo, she wants to wear knickers but doesn't want to have to stop doing what she is doing to go to the loo, so nappies for another few months here - going to take a week over the summer holidays and stay home and get her trained, she is showing signs so that is encouraging.
anyway must go, af is due tommorrow so we will wait and see if she comes to my house or not.
chat later

Michelle Lani sounds so cute & funny. Jay is fantastic with her!! I would LOVE for Matilda to be in a cot still... ah well...
Tantrums... Matilda did the funniest mini tantrum yesterday (you can tell how different our lives are now that I find little tantrums funny...) she wanted a cuddle, but didn't want the belly involved. So she was screaming "CUDDLE MUMMY!!!" and stamping her foot but when I pulled her up on my lap for a cuddle she started pushing away saying "NO BELLY!!! JUST MUMMY!!!" I couldn't help but laugh... sorry mate but the belly comes with the mummy at the moment, I told her soon she could cuddle mummy without the belly but for now we are attached.

lol at Matilda not wanting to cuddle your belly! That's cute. Lily keeps wanting to sit on my belly!

Hi Everyone, just a quick post, had an ace weekend we took Mackenzie to the Aquarium and she loved it. There was this massive blue fish which was swimming around and she sat down in front of it and when it came up close to her instead of jumping up and running away she gave it a big kiss. It was sooo cute. Off to Brisbane tonight (leaving at 8pm) to try and see my Grandmother before she passes away. :( She has gone down hill rapidly and they expect her to go to a better place within the next few days if not within the next 24 hours. I hope I get there in time. I don't arrive until 10pm so won't get to her until the morning. It's going to be hard but something I have to do otherwise I will regret it for the rest of my life. My DH has taken tommorrow off so Mackenzie and he will have a great day and I land back in Melb at 6pm - so a flying visit so to speak. It is also our anniversary tomorrow so I have hidden a card under his pillow for him to find when he hops into bed tonight. It is going to feel so strange and this will be my first night away from Mackenzie since she was born. I was a little upset about it last night just thinking about it but her and her dad will have a great day together I'm sure. Anyway, must run and organise DH's dinner. Thoughts are with those about to have their bubbas. Good luck :)

Hello Ladies :D
Thats so cute Christy! Not that its good she got mad but cute she didnt want the belly.
I dont know how i'd go with tantrums... Ryley is in full time day care (But not for much longer! yay) so I dont know how I would deal with a big one.
Happy Anniversary Nik! iI hope hubbie likes his card.
Michelle (Mooshie) with ttraining i am going to wait until Summer- although i know Ryley would be great now I dont think I am ready for the commitment yet.
Well as I sadi Ryley wont be in f/t day care anymore- I am giving up or postponing uni so that I can spend more time with him. He will be in prob 2-3 days a week but that all. I dont think I can physically have any more kids so I dont want to miss out on all this time with him. Plus by the time im finished uni he'll be so big he wont want to spend time with his Mum (so uncool by then!). I am giving up my Avon areas and delegating more jobs to Hubbie so I can relax more and just enjoy being a Mum/wife and enjoy life!
I feel so at peace with that decision, I slept so well last night compared to usual.
Hope ur all doing well!

Pee that must have been a hard decision to make, but sounds like the right one. I figure any decision we make that lets us sleep better at night is the right one ;).
Things going okay today... Matilda's been sleeping better (someone pinch me!) and tantruming less (someone must have swapped my child!!!)... and I'm about to pop. Okay I really have 3 weeks left officially, but it just doesn't feel like it. I've been having prelabour on/off for 2 weeks now where I will have BH's for an hour or so at night.
-
Yeah it was hard but I am glad that I have made the decision. I want to look back and think- I knew my son and he knew i loved him
Good that Matilda is being a good girl
-
Lovely ladies ... just needed to share with you all ...
ASHA WOKE UP DRY TODAY!!!
She had a huge sleep too ... OMG my baby girl needs to stop growing up!
-
YAY Asha!!!! Woo Hoo!!! What a big girl!
-
well they grow up so quickly
Madison put her own pants on today, i was hanging out washing i came in and she was pulling them up. with regards to toilet trainging She did a poo on the carpet today. so i don't know weather to pesist with the TT or try again in a few weeks time.
-
Kelly ... Asha hasn't got hte poo in the toilet thing yet either but she still wears knickers. I can usually catch her though as she hides and goes quiet when she does one. Otherwise she tries to clean them up by herself which results in a huge mess!!!! Hang in there ... if she can do the wees on the toilet then she will get it eventually!
Cheers
