Happy Birthday to Zander and Violet and Michael. Wow, what a lot of birthdays. Also a little girl at play group turned 1 today and another one turns 2 tomorrow. And Happy Anniversary to me and DH.
Jack and Tom were both good as gold for the ILs on Sunday, they even slept most of the time we were gone. Today Jack sang the Wheels on the Bus and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in the car on the way home from playgroup, and got all the words right. Usually he'll only sing bits of the songs and want me to sing the rest, but today was the first time he sang them all the way through by himself. And this morning he was singing Baa Baa Black Sheep by himself too. I think he's been foxing me!
Still waiting for news on this house. They promised us we would know yesterday, then this morning, but still nothing. Not happy Jan.
Dee, isn't it funny how they turn into monsters overnight. Jack has improved since the weekend but is still having his moments. Pity we can't skip this age!
A belated 'Happy Birthday' to Zander and Violet!! Hope they had a lovely 2nd birthday (I was in Geelong so couldn't get to the puter to say it on the day).
Gab had a nice birthday. We went out for dinner with friends. She was spoilt with load of presents - thankfully she got heaps of clothes for winter. She needs them!
hey just a quick one to say back from sydney, well got back monday lol but i am slow to catching up everywhere, post more later
Hey girls, just popping in for a quicky.
Deb, Happy Birthday to Gab for yesterday. I hope she had a great time. And happy birthing day to you too hun.
Belinda, good to hear that you got back from Sydney ok. Hope your trip was good.
Tehya had her first day at daycare today. Went off like a dream, had no dummy there and only had her bottle after she woke up. Had a little sook at nap time, that was at 11.30am and she's not used to going down until 1pm so a big time change for her.
My brother and his gf had their little boy yesterday, after 15 hours of labour a not so little Logan was born, 4.04kgs, not a bad size hey. Simone didn't even feel bub crowning, said it didn't hurt at all. What a champ. Oh yeah he had a head of 37cms so it wasn't small at all.
Think I am getting the flu, have been running around so much lately, between hosp and acupuncture appts, ob's and midwifes. Then after being in there all day yesterday until late lastnight in the aiir conditioning and Simone had the fan on us too. I think it has finally caught up with me. Guess that my added stress wouldn't help though.
I will catch up better later. This tired mummy needs to go to bed.
Trish - yay for Tehya doing so well at daycare! Good on her :) Must have warmed your heart knowing she coped ok?
Good job for Simone! Wow! U must be a brilliant coach (tho I knew u would be anyway ;) Wanna come to Dunkeld in late July?? PMSL). Wow @ her not even feeling him crowning! Those endorphins must have been workin' overtime! Good on her. How inspirational!
Belinda - hope u had a good time in Sydney :)
Neil felt Little Bee kick last night so that is very exciting! He reckons that he is trying to perfect his footy kick, LOL.
I'll get some photos up of Gab's birthday some time today.
Deb, let me just book a ticket ;)
Looking forward to seeing your pics. YAY for Neil feeling Little Bee last night too. How exciting !!
Well the trip was great to Sydney, used to live there so was nice and familiar to me, which meant we could catch trains etc and feel ok about where we were going
Plane was delayed when we left sunny coast, so sat in plane for over and hour because of baggage loader breaking down, then we land in sydney and i said to luke your dad used to work here delivering cargo and luke yells out in the plane and 'drugs'! could of thrown him out of the plane!! but it got worse, he then implied loudly on the plane that i had drugs with me!! the lady that was sitting with us told him he couldnt even joke about that sort of stuff and i felt like hiding under the seat!! in the end i had to tell him off and get him to sit down so he would stop saying it!
Then we hitchhiked on a shuttle bus lol, i just seen a guy with a shuttle bus shirt so i followed him to the bus with these ppl, then he goes where is your ticket, i said what ticket? so he let us on anyhow which was good
Then we walked through the city close to china town and luke yells out ' its just like going to Tokyo isnt it mum', gggrr to taking kids on holidays!!
Then he told some lady that the flag on the harbour bridge was the iraq one (was the aborginal one)
Besides that it was a great time and we seen the most of sydney that we could see, i was exhausted every day and my feet are bruised and sore still!
Trish: hope you feel better soon
Debbie: yah for Neil feeling a kick :)
Hey guys,
Just a quick hello - sorry I have been so absent from this thread - I tend to get on, check what I need to quickly and get off to a baby crying!
Life is OK I spose. Jenna has her ups and downs, her talking is coming along brillantly, she is saying lots of little sentences now, and can sing so many nursery rhymes - its good. We have regular conversations with her.
Hamish isnt so good - he is deaf at the moment - has been for about 2 weeks after a number of ear infections. Turns out he has glue ear, so until that resolves (if it does without grommets) he wont have much hearing. But loads of personality, lots of gooing and talking, and eating and weeing - just not much bloody sleeping! He's feeding 3 times between 1am and 6am at the mo - its killing me, but I have to let him do it - I'm sure its scary being in a dark silent world! He is also back on the weight charts - dropped off for a week or two, but he's back at 10th percentile, so all good :D
I'll try to check again soo - happy birthday to all the bubs. What big boys and girls we all have!
Fi
Oops, Happy belated birthday to Gab. I'm glad the day went so well. Congrats on the nephew Trish. I'm glad all went well. Belinda, I'm glad you had a good, if interesting, time. I hope you recover soon!
We are moving on Friday, but by the time we got stuffed around we only went unconditional 9 days before settlement so we don't have much time to pack. So I won't be around much, and then we could be without internet for a week.
I hope everyone is well and has a great week. Don't talk to much, it will be too hard to catch up LOL!!
Debbie: great pics, couldnt watch video cause i had to get an upgrade to flash or something, computer is too old for upgrades lol
Fi: hope Hamish gets some improvement in his ears ASAP and cute how Jenna is talking so well
Melanie: Hope the move goes really well for you all
Ended up going out last night as a last minute idea, was a great night, headache wasnt that great this morning though, had some tablets and went back to bed, woke up later ok
Fi - how cute with Jenna talking in sentences! Sorry to hear that Hamish is having such trouble with his ears. You're right - it must be scary at night in a dark, silent world! I hope he starts settling down at night for u tho. Yay for his weight too. That's good :)
Mel - hope the move goes smoothly.... well, as smoothly as moving can go!!
Belinda - no worries about the video. I know my computer is pretty slow at it too. You're a lucky thing getting to go out last night. It'll be a while before I can do that. Even then... I've got no friends here to go out with!! LOL
Gabby is refusing to have a sleep today but I guess that's ok. She did sleep in until 9:30am! How spoiled am I?? I was up at 8am... but it was nice to have some peace and quiet. I know all this sleep is going to be a thing of the past come the end of July!
OMG this baby is going nuts today! He's been kicking so much and I can already see my big belly move with his movements. I swear it's heaps earlier than when Gabby was doing the same thing. Wonder if it means this little man ain't gonna be so little?? Hmm... I guess time will tell!! LOL
Ggrr! So here I am in the middle of packing thinking Jack is down for a nap. I go to check on him and is lying on his bed, awake, with his nappy off, white cream everywhere. Turns out he wanted to put sudocream on his bottom, so he figured out how to climb up and get it from the top of his tall boy. Then he took his nappy off and put the cream on his bottom. And nose. And hands. And sheets etc. And then of course he wees on his bed (wetting the linen, doona, and the waterproof matress protector). And he also wees in two spots on the floor. Got to love 2 year olds!!
Debbie: I am sure when the time comes for you to get out there friends will be found :) If not just come up or down here, otherwise i will meet you in Sydney in the future for a huge weekend you wont forget in a hurry :)
Melanie: Ah the joys!
Picked Mason up from daycare today and there were raving about him being a great cleaning helper and how bright he is, so that was nice to hear
Have had 3 hours sleep so pretty tired so might go lay on the lounge now and hope for sleep to come
Hey ladies,
Just thought i'd poke my nose in and introduce myself. Im eryn, my sons name is seth. he was born on the 27th may 2005. hes almost 2!!!!
He has the biggest temper around. for example, this morning he was told no, so he pushed a chair over and screamed for the next half hour!
Also, we've just moved into a new place, and he terrorfied of his bedroom, even during the day! any suggestions on how to make the move an easier one??
look forward to getting to know you all...
Eryn xoxo
Hello Girls
I don`t know what I`ve been doing in the last week but I seem to have been busy - busy doing what I don`t know LOL
Happy belated Birthday to Gabby, hope you had a great day and Mummy too :D
Fi - Hugs to you, I hope they can fix Hamish soon so he can start hearing his lovely Mummy, Daddy and sister. Yay for Jenna, what a very clever girl
I`m going to have to come back, Adrian wants BB again
Okay I`m back again after filling Adrian`s tum up with liquid gold.
Eryn - Welcome to our group. Sounds like Seth has hit the terrible 2`s. As for his new bedroom, have you tried to make it look very similar to his old bedroom? Perhaps if you can use his room a bit during the day to play in with Mummy it might then begin to feel familiar rather then a big new scary room, also explain to him that it`s his lovely new room.
Melanie - Oh you`ve gotta love them. Good luck with the packing.
Deb - I`ve just realised your having a little blue boy (I had a feeling he was a he)- Congratulations.
Belinda - Yay for Mason being so good with tidying up.
All is okay here, have a few new ideas here with the farm so hopefully things might look up one day, Mark is getting some support from the dairy liason officer as to what to do to get out of this hole the farm is in, hopefully once more money is rolling in Mark will feel happier.
Matthew is doing well, just overnight he learnt what colour was green, blue and red so I`m thrilled that he picked them up so quickly. Matthew has been teaching Adrian how to do a few things, it`s so cute until Matthew decides to push Adrian over or start screaming so Adrian then crys (he`s put 2 and 2 together here, it gets quite frustrating with one screaming to make his brother cry).
Adrian is doing well, still waking up a number of times at night.
I`m here waiting for AF to show, she`s 4 days late and we did have a couple of accidents with the condoms this month, I`m not reading anything into it yet and will not start panicking until AF is a week late as with all Adrian`s wakeups it may have just unsettled my cycle.
Hope everyone`s well
Dee
Hi, my name is Amanda, and my youngest (soon to be middle child), Nicky was born on May 2nd, 2005.
He is a sweet boy, although very mischievous! He dosent talk much, says Mum, Dad, Night Night, Hi, bye and Seeya.
Would love to chat with you ladies, I am thinking of Bday pressies at the moment, and was thinking a supermarket playset as he loves his pretend kitchen!
Welcome Eryn and Manda
Dee: i feel the same sometimes i am soo busy but i often think back and think what did i actually do lol
Mason does that screaming thing to Cooper too and its so frustrating, i watched a show once on different age groups and they say they are learning cause and effect and not being naughty, well bet none of the testers had kids lol
Hope things get better at the farm
All is ok here, Cooper has done exactly what Mason done at 5mths and become a spoilt brat who doesnt like to sleep, we created another monster, funny though one time he will scream for nearly an hour so he doesnt sleep then another time i will throw him into his bed and toss a blanket over him and he pulls the blanket over his face and goes to sleep, will never work them out lol
Mason is fine and running amok wherever he can, daycare has done wonders for him though and my sanity!
This morning i walked out of my room with Cooper, sat down on the lounge and Mason gangster slapped Cooper across the back of the head, most ppl would say good morning!!
Mason is starting to hit and push a fair bit now, he bit Cooper on the foot yesterday, never had a biter before so hoping it was a one off thing!
Trish: hope all is going ok with you
Hey Girls, sorry for being so slack. Have been reading up but not posting much. Slack I know.
Welcome to the newbies, good to have some fresh faces in here. Not that the old ones aren't wonderful ;)
Belinda, sounds like your boys are being....boys. LOL. Wish I could say it got better as they got older, but then I'd be lying to you. You will find that Mason will get much more assertive since starting day care, they tend to have to become that way, it's kill or be killed at daycare. Not literally, but ykwim.
Hi Manda and welcome to BB and to the baby buddies group. Pretend kitchens are great, we got our little ones one for Christmas to go in their cubby, now if they played in their cubby more often I'm sure the kitchen would get played with more :D
Dee, ummm maaahhhhh hun. Hope the witch turns up for you hun. I am waiting atm too, although AF isn't due until Saturday, we dtd the day after O without protection. Stupid me.Matthew sounds like such a cutey, norti but funny that he screams to make Adrian cry too. I can imagine your frustration. Hopefully he will be teaching ADrian good stuff and none of the norti stuff hey. Fingers crossed for you guys with the farm, hoping that things start looking up for you.
Eryn, I would also suggest letting Seth play in his room of a daytime with you, let it be a place of comfort for him, maybe even lay down on his bed with him and read stories to him. Try to make it feel as welcoming to him as possible. 2 year olds have lovely tempers, don't they. Tehya has a pretty vicious temper too, wonder if it has anything to do with her red hair. For the most part though she will take herself off to her room, close her door and have a cry in there until she is over it. It's very cute actually.
My baby is doing so well at day care, it was her second day yesterday and off she went, not a care in the world. When I got there in the afternoon she was jumping up and down for me at the gates. Too cute. She has sever dummy withdrawls though, as soon as I got there she was whinging for her dummy then booby. I ended up sitting at pre school and giving her some booby, the whole 10 sucks that she had. Obviously she just needed a comfort suck.
Last night she walks out with her pj top up and her baby on her boob, It was so sweet, when Teh has a feed she has to play with my hair, so naturally so does her bubba, so here she is with her dolly having booby, trying to make the hand reach up into her hair. Wish I had my camera out. Oh, and no feed is complete without the sucking noises !!
Am off to court today with my brother, he's still fighting to get access to his son Ned, he did have it but then his stupid ex has decided that it doesn't suit her anymore so has taken him back. Not happy, stupid cow. Think she is going to ***** herself when she see's me there today.
Wish us luck girls.
Finally started to do my doula course too, not that I've got to do much of it yet, been too damn busy. Was hoping for a quiet day yesterday and today to get cracking on it but that was not to be.
Hi to all the girls that are in hiding, hope all is going well with you and your little people. Belly rubs to the pg girls too. Hope you are going well and bubs are being good to you :D
Welcome to BB and our group Manda, Nicky is one day older then my Matthew :) Congratulations on your pregnancy, will you be finding out what your having or keep it a surprise till the big day? I look forward to getting to know you.
Eryn - How is Seth going with his bedroom?
Belinda - sorry to hear your having sleepness nights now too. Mason sounds so much like Matthew with the screaming, biting, hitting. Glad Mason is enjoying daycare and you too, a few weeks back I rang the preschool to change Matthew`s dates of starting and brought it forward a year but off course there is now a long waiting list, I feel he needs to get out and socialise with other children and give me some one on one time with Adrian so it`s just a matter of waiting now for them to say they have a spot available. The funny thing is the lady remember Mark and Alister, she`s apparently been there for 14 years.
Trish - Wishing you and your brother the best of luck today, I hope it all goes well for you. Tehya sounds like such a cutie feeding her doll, how beautiful, it`s times like these you`d love to have a video camera. Glad all is going well at childcare and that she`s loving every minute of it. Ummm mahhhh to you too, I`m still waiting for AF, she`s now 6 days late, this pattern certainly didn`t happen after Matthew, I really hate the unknown, I don`t think I am pregnant but I guess you never know till the fat lady sings!!!!
I`ve had one of those mornings here, Matthew throwing tantrums, he`s been very tired since daylight savings so we`ve been having many tantrums because of the tiredness, hopefully his body clock will adjust soon (and mine too!!)
I don`t like this cooler weather as Mark says it`s not even cold yet, I just don`t like anything under 25 degrees, I`d never suit NZ`s weather now.
Take Care Girls
Dee
Hi Ladies, thanks for the welcome!
Dee - We will find out with this one, I am not the most patient person, my eldest son is coming to the ulrasound with me:)
Nicky has terrible tantrums...head banging, kicking and screamingt he house down. Even though he is my second I am not used to it, my first never really had terrible twos, and could talk very well, but since Nicky is a slow talker, I put it down to frustration. He was bitten at daycare today on the arm by another little boy, although I am sure Nicky might have provoked it:)
YAY!! he's sleeping in his bed beautifully, AND im getting a sleep in until 830!! bliss!! lol
He's a good kid, but OMG, he is into everything! and the temper on him is crazy!! I don't like the terrible twos! :( lol
Hope everyone is well :)
Eryn xoxo
Hi there, I'm back but won't write much as we only have slow wireless internet atm. We are mostly moved, just a tonne of unpacking to do, although less actually than I would have thought so that's good. The boys were both really good. They spent moving day (fri) with the ILs. Tom and I hadn't been apart for more than a couple of hours before, but we both did well. He even drank enough EBM from a sippy cup to get him by until I got there with bb. Then when we got back to the new house, both boys went straight to bed in their new rooms without a peep and slept through the night. Hooray!
GL to you gals waiting for AF. You can have mine if you want LOL, she returned for the first time since Tom yesterday and I can live without her IYKWIM! Glad I'm not pg but still!!
Tom isn't exactly crawling yet but it doesn't stop him. He moves quickly and can get from one end of the house to the other. How quickly they grow up!
Dee, I hope your having a better day today hun. So has AF turned up yet ?? Not here. She had better be coming. I am sure it is though, have the back pains and cramps.
I'm with you too, I like the warmer weather. Definately not a winter gal here.
Manda, how do you respond to Nicky's tantrums?? I think the way you reposnd can make a big difference. Ouch on the bite too. Hope his arm is ok.
Eryn, that's fantastic news that Seth is sleeping in his bed. Even better for the 8.30 sleep in. I wish. Ever since daylight savings ended I have been getting 6am days. It's killing me.
Melanie, welcome back hun. Hope your new house is coming along nicely. Great to hear that both you and Tom survived your day apart. I think it's easier when your busy, it's just when you slow down that it hits you, oh and around feed times.
Thanks for the offer of your AF, but I will decline. Mine is bad enough and I remember what the first ones back are like. Might have come back on you because of the day without feeding Tom ?? If your still feeding him heaps you might find that it's the only one for a while again.
How is Jack going ??
Court went ok, the silly girl turned up to represent herself and my brother has one of NSW best barrister's. Her quest to get it changed was denied and the original order is still in place.
Ned was dropped off here yesterday, but his stupid mother came with them, that is not in the order, it's to be her mother only. And of course she started a scene out the front of my house. My brother wasn't here yet and she did not want to leave the baby with me without him. I am to be present at all times as it's supervised access. Which is a crock, but anyway. I told her mother to get rid of her and to never bring her to my house again. Will be noting all that happened and again it will ba another thing to go against her.
We're off to the IL's again today. Fun Fun !! I overheard Mark talking to them and they are taking his nieces to a play centre. Joy, Mark hates those places but is keen to go because, well you know why.
Have a great Sunday girls :D
Trish - I`m like you still waiting for AF, I do have some backache today but that is also unusual as I don`t normally get any warning that AF is coming till I see it (sorry TMI) Glad to hear court went okay but OMG at her turning up at your place. Hope AF isn`t too far away for you.
Melanie - Glad the move went okay and the boys were good. Sorry to hear about AF. I hear you about the little ones growing up so fast and getting to places without needing to crawl.
Eryn- Yay for Seth, that`s great news. We`re getting early wakeups here as well.
Manda - Sorry to hear about Nicky`s tantrums being so bad and I hope the bite on his arm isn`t too bad.
Mark asked me if I wanted to go to a farm with him to look at some cows which he may or may not buy, so I decided we`d go to get out of the house not expecting it to take 3 hours for Mark to choose a handful of cows out, the boys were so good considering we just hanged around the car for the 3 hours waiting for Mark to return.
Matthew had a bad night last night and I`m getting the after effect of it today but I guess all in all he`s not too bad considering he`s quite tired but I could have done without the 4 litres of milk all over the floor, he was so quiet about it too. Thank goodness we have many more litres down at the dairy.
OH nice milk spill there Dee. Aren't you lucky having your own personal supply. I'm the only cow around here ;)
How in the hell did you sit near the car for 3 hours, I would have been going off my head. But then, I am a very impatient person.
I never used to get warning before but my cycle since I had Tehya is so bad, very heavy and cramps usually for a week before. I even get them into the tops of my thighs. Same as I do when I'm in labour. Weirdo I am.
Hopefully Matthew has a good nap for you this afternoon. Teh is in bed now, we just got home from the playcentre. It was all the way on the other side of Sydney. Matraville I think it was. Tehya nicely spewed on the way down for us and then again on the way home, that one was trickier to deal with, we were on the motorway at the time. Thank God for the emergancy stop things.
Trish - luckily I`m a very patient person plus I didn`t have a choice except for leaving Mark there but I don`t think he would have been too happy about that. Ouchie I got those awful pains in the tops of legs during the pushing stage but have never had them during AF, I can sympathise with you with your awful AF`s I went through years of dreadful ones before the boys came along, I couldn`t get out of bed for 24 hours if I did I`d started vomiting and everything would spin along with all the cramps but once that day passed I was fine. Poor Tehya being sick in the car, hope you had a good day other then the sickness. Has AF visited you yet?
Had to take Matthew to the Dr yesterday, he had what I thought were hives but they were a bit different to his precious hive episodes so I took him to make sure it wasn`t anything nasty, as it turns out it is hives and he`s still covered in them, poor child, otherwise he`s well. Can`t believe he`s 23 months today, another month till he`s two, wow that time has flown by.
As for AF I`m still waiting......... I`m sure she`ll turn up one day.
Dee, still waiting !!! I am sure she will be here soon. Probably turn up when I'm out and get me by suprise. Somedays I get the pains like I am going to spew too. It's shocking.
Poor Matthew and his hives. Hope they aren't giving him too much grief.
They grow up fast hey. Although atm I wish they were all at school. HEHE, not every day of course. But somedays........
hey girls
Hope you are all well and AF didnt cause you too much dramas if it arrived
I am praying that my AF turns up this month as i wasnt all that careful, so i am worried!
But nothing i can do but just wait and see and hope that nothing comes of it
Cooper is great atm, putting him into his bed when he starts whinging and he pulls the blanket over his face and goes off to sleep just about every nap time, sometimes he doesnt, he is a great baby though, so yah
Mason is good but a rebel, he beat Cooper and Luke up this morning!
All else is ok here, nothing much to say cause i havent done anything too exciting
I so want KFC though so waiting for Mason to get up but he just not long went to sleep so will be awhile, might find something else instead here
Dee: I would of went insane waiting in the car that long, like Trish i have very little patience, hope Matthew improves fast, poor kid
Trish: hope all is going ok there now or on its way to ok
think Mason is up so gunna take off to KFC
Dee hope Matthew is feeling better soon and AF arrives for you. I can't believe they will be 2 soon.
Hey ladies,
i completely jinxed myself. Seth had one fluke of a sleep in and that was that. no fair. back to 6 30 wake ups.. bring on winter and the late rising sun! lol..
I need to hurry up and get the net connected at my place... i get so lonely sitting there on my own all day! i need the internet to entertain me! hopefully not to much longer.
seth has relised that there aren't any kiddy locks on any of the doors at the new unit yet... so my vacuum and mop is constantly being brought out (maybe it's a hint to do more house work... eek) and also knows that pantry hasn't got a lock on it and raids it 50 times a day, i taken to tying the doors together with plastic bags... lol..
Just wondering, im in a small unit so the kitchen, dining and lounge are combined, at my old unit i took to putting the dining chairs on the table, but i don't want to do that anymore, any tips on how to get him to stop climbing up onto the table??
Hows every one elses little cherubs??
Eryn xoxo
Dont think there is a way to stop them, just persistantly saying dont do that, Mason was forever doing it and eventually the novelty wore off and he doesnt now, even exciting things like that get boring to them eventually
I am worried as he is just starting to get the nack of opening up doors, we have hard doors to open here and i am so concerned as i sleep heavy and will not hear him if he gets in anywhere, so not sure what to do there, we put a gate on his room at night time but he kicks that off in the mornings lol
Hi Everyone,
Sorry i don't pop in much i keep forgetting about this thread.
We are all doing well. Alex still won't say anything but Kimberley was the same at this age so i know not to worry too much and i know he'll end up like her and talk no stop all day once he starts. What joy that will be for me having two of them talking all day long.
I'm finding it hard to find clothes to fit Alex. He's growing out of his size 1's but i am finding size 2 trousers fall down still a little but are okay in the leg for a little while but a size 3 is way to long in the leg for him to wear now. Anyone else having trouble like this ?
Hi all. Happy Easter.
Belinda, LOL, Jack has just discovered he can open the doors in the new house. He thinks he's very clever. It's a pain isn't it!
Michelle, yes, I find it depends on the brand. Jack has just grown out of his last 1s in the last couple of weeks, but some twos keep falling down on him.
Jack has been very unsettled since the move. He is just getting (mostly) back to normal in the last day or so. Funnily enough another little girl from his daycare moved on the same day as us and has been the same also. I'm glad it's settling down, I much prefer the well behaved version of Jack LOL! My brilliant sleeper even refused to have his day sleep 3 days in a row. This is a child who usually asks to go to bed when he's finished his lunch. Luckily though he has now gone down two afternoons now without a fuss so I think the worst is over.
Tom has been really great and is sleeping through till 5am nearly every night now. Seeing as he goes down between 4 and 5 pm that's pretty good (he does have a dreamfeed around 9 or 10pm though). I'd love him to sleep later but I can't keep him up any longer, he's just too tired. Also we don't have curtains in his room yet so that probably doesn't help with the early waking. I'm so tired, late nights unpacking and early starts!
Hey Michelle, nice to hear an update from you :)
I have solved the door dilemma i went out and bought door handle covers,he screamed for awhile over us wrecking it for him though lol but just too dangerous, we usually have our rollerdoor of garage open a lot and i am not risking him getting out there through laundry, i can hardly work the covers though lol but he will probably work them out soon enough!
now i need tap covers as when he is in the shower he turns the hot water on more, ah the joys of children!
Hope everyone had a nice easter and i shall be back again soon :)
Belinda i have door knob covers as well and find it hard to open the doors when they are on. We had to put one on Alex's door so Kimberley would stop waking him up when she got home. She would turn his light on and he would still be sound asleep. I have them on both kids doors and when i want their rooms left tidy i close the doors and they can't get in.
Can you not fit one to your bathroom door to stop them turning the taps on ?
Oh i have it on the bathroom door i meant when he is actually having a shower, i tried the door cover on the tap but doesnt quiet fit, so might have to get tap covers as well
We have one on the inside of Masons door so he cant get out at daysleep time, good idea for when you want to keep room tidy
Having a bad moment then now i know what you mean. We've had the same problem with Alex doing that as well.
Hey girls, hope everyone had a great Easter.
Dee, has AF turned up yet ???? How are the boys going ?
Belinda, I am hearing you on the door's. It's a PITA hey. Even worse for me that Noah and Tehya are excape artist's, Noah more so. It's very scary. LOL at you wrecking it onn Mason, mum's ruon all the fun hey by making it safe.
Melanie, how on earth do you get a child to go to bed at 5pm til 5 am, dream feed or not. You are so lucky hun. Good to hear that Jack is starting to settle back down for you too. Makes things so much easier.
Eryn, I hope Seth is calming down abit for you and stops the cupboard raiding. Tehya does the same thing here, and with the fridge too. We did have locks on them but they got broken, I wonder who did that.
Michelle, I have similar problems with Tehya and her clothes, she is such a skinny mini, she still only weighs just over 11kgs, and that was when she turned 2. I try to get the clothes that have the adjustable waist bands in then. Once they are out of nappies you have the problem all over again coz they make the clothes for a nappy bum and waist.
Well, some of you may have seen my announcement. It's still a secret yup, that's right, AF did not turn up. She wasn't just late or mucknig around with me, as much as I may have hoped. I have not told DP yet as he has made it very and painfully clear that he is not interested in another baby. Well, perhaps he should have thought of that before he left his deposit hey !!
I am about 5 weeks 3 days, due around Dec 8th. While I am happy I am very worried about the affects this news and baby will have on my family. My mum knows and is very supportive no matter what I choose to do. I have not told Mark because he has told me before that if I was to fall preg he would want me to terminate and that is not an option for me. So, as bad as it seem's I am protecting this child by not telling him just yet. Just digging myself a deaper hole. Fingers crossed he doesn't read BB hey.
