Yeah, your allowed to play on the sutff, Trish (bday girl) has booked the whole center out. The whole idea is to get thrashed and then run amok! Will be strange, i havent really had a good night out where i could really let go since... Before i fell pg with Anneliese!! And its sat night (i dont think i even put what night it was! sorry girls :))
-
Not much happening over here Trish. Zander has decided to scream high pitched if things are going his way - noice! Other than that, same old same old. On the TTC end of things stil waiting to O.
-
Trish - typical that Tehya slept while you were a way. Is that a cue to leave her more often?? ;) I reckon you could still have a house warming. Any excuse for a BBQ!
Simone - that sounds like stacks of fun. I saw that one of the play centres in Geelong book parties out for adults. Would be awesome! Friends of ours hired a jumping castle for their little boy's 1st birthday a few years ago. The jumping castle guy rang in the late arvo asking if it was ok if he picked the castle up in the morning instead. We were more than happy to "allow" him to leave it there overnight. Several drinks later, we were re-living our youth!! Awesome fun! Ever since, I've wanted to hire a jumping castle for my birthday! Perhaps my 30th!
Sarah - lovely @ Zander screaming high pitched when things aren't going his way. Gab does that too... all too often.
She was Miss Bossy once again at playgroup. She had a great time on the slide. She now "helps" me count... I say "One..." then she says "Two!!!!" then "Three" and weeeeee down the slide. Now whenever she wants to do something fun, it's "Two?". PMSL
So peeved too! Two kids at playgroup have the names I had on my list for the next bubba. Neil doesn't think it's a big deal but what if I end up befriending their Mum's?? I can't just go copying names now, can I (even tho they were already on our list... and one of them I didn't really expect to hear of). Ah well... lucky we have several other names listed, hehehe.
-
Easy Deb, just don't talk to those mum's ;)
LOL at Gab being a bossy boots again. Let's just say that she is assertive, sounds much better. Why don't you do that then for your 30th, sounds like a fantastic idea. I would love to do that. Sheame we don't have the yard space adnIreally don't fancy doing it in our front yard :)
Simone, hope you have a great time at the party. Sounds like the last one was ablast too !!
Fi, hope your feeling better today and no more headaches for you hun.
Sarah, Oh yeah I love those screams. NOT. They sure get the attention they are after though don't they. And as for the big O, well hope you've been bd'ing like bunny's ;)
Took Tehya and Noah to a park yesterday afternoon. We had a great time, and yes I mean we. They had this ride there, sort of like a bike that is connected to this frame, there is one on each side of the frame and when you sit on it and pedal you make the thing spin in a circle. Picture Elliot and ET on their bike in the sky. LOL. Noah and I were going that fast. Mark is a big chicken so he wouln't go on it. He did give us really fast pushes though :)
After that we went down to feed the ducks. We took some brea with us and pretty soon were surrounded by them. Tehya chased them of course, but I had to feel sorry for this one duck. It only had one leg and Teh thought it would be fun to chase that one, poor thing was hopping away as fast as he could.
Noah toook off and ran up to the equipment and we asked Teh "where's Noah?" she put's out both hands to her sides and says plain as day, I don't know. Mark and I cracked up. It was the first time we'd heard that. So cute...
Things have settled down here on the Mark front. I have been making an extra effort to spend more time with him and the kids in the afternoon and less time in here when he is around. So far, so good.
-
Trish ya big kid! Sounds like you had an awesome day in the park. Sooooo cute that Tehya said "I don't know". My goodness... I can't imagine Gab speaking like that any time soon... tho she has said, "More please"... the only 2 words she has put together and she hasn't done it since, LOL. Glad that everything between you and Mark is going well. I guess sometimes we get a bit complacent hey... then it just takes one side to get a bit peeved and it all turns to chaos. A little bit of compromise doesn't hurt tho - that's something I have to remind myself about all the time.
Neil is fast asleep. He came in this morning after nightshift and crashed out straight away (much to my dismay... I wanted him to get Gab up so that I could keep sleeping, hehehe). I think he's planning on getting up at lunchtime so that he'll be tired enough to go back to bed at normal bed time tonight. 5 days off for him now anyway :)
I've gotta call the mechanic and see what's happening with my car (and pray that it's not too expensive) then go grocery shopping. I'm a little bit nervous about having people here. I dunno... I haven't had a chance to put all my photos up properly or wash the walls... oh why do I always stress?? I don't give a hoot about other people's houses yet I assume everyone judges me on mine!
CD1 for me today... bahumbug :(
Hope you are doing better, Tanya!
-
Aww Deb, like you said, the upside is that you can have a few drinks. You will have to make up for the fact that you won't be able to drink over xmas ans New year ;)
Fingers crossed that your car doesn't cost too much. Don't you hate having to spend money on them. Sort of feels like a waste, but then if you don't it's on the bus for ya. My car seriously needs some work on it. My drivers side window has been busted for ages, the damn electric cable in it broke, and they cost a fortune to fix. Stupid cars :(
Don't stress out about your house. Give them enough grog and no one will pay attention anyway ;)
-
Hehehe yeah... actually... the granny carpet would look quite cool with a few ales under the belt ;)
-
Hi girls,
I have nothing much to say Eliza is asleep and I have a few hours, I have a feeling I may end up in hospital tonight ...I'm in huge pain but trying to fight it until Nick comes home :(
Bec
-
Bec, what's wrong hun ?? Sorry if I have missed anything. I hope your ok.
-
Hey bec, hope everythings ok... whats going on?
-
I just feel like crap my self diagnosing symptoms
1. Eptopic preg
2. Ovarian cyst that is huge
3. Appendix
All not great things...going to lay down, I'll smuggle the laptop with me
Bec
-
Hun, seriously if you are in that much pain that it is making you think of things like tht perhaps you should pack yourself up and get to either the Dr's or the emergancy room.
I really hope all is ok for you. Please keep us posted.
-
Hey bec, TRish is right, considering two of those things are life threatening (dont know about the cysts) you're better of getting checked, just put Eliza in her pram and pack some snacks. Thats what i used to do when i had to go to hosp (and i had a 3yo on top of that!)
Please get in there, just get DH to meet you after work. Is there family or a friend you could drop eliza off at? if you dont want to take her to hospital with you... if i was close i'd say bring her here (but im also a stranger :))
Hope you work something out
-
Bec... I agree. Get to the hospital quick smart. Is Fi home? Maybe she can help you out?? Frick I wish I was in Geelong... grrr!
-
Hi Girls, just popping in to see how you all are, I`m often a lurker but thought today I`ll post :)
Bec - Get yourself to the Dr`s or Hospital, somethings not right if your in that much pain. I hope your okay, thinking of you
Fi - How are you going? I was looking at Jenna`s photos a few days back, she is one beautiful little girl.
Trish - Sounds like you had a ball at the park. LOL @ Tehya saying Don`t know, how beautiful.
Deb - Gabby sounds like Matthew, I call it organising everyone LOL Sorry to hear AF has arrived.
Sarah - Oh those screams, Matthew has only done it a couple of times thank goodness.
Us - We`re doing well, Matthew is growing up way too fast but then so is his little brother :( Must go I can hear Matthew waking up.
-
Declan just cries when we has a tantrum, but he cries and forgets to breathe. I've had to shake him, and even once i had to punch him in the chest (i know that sounds awful, i didnt punch hard, more like a push, but i had to shock in into drawing in a breath, even blowing in his face wasnt working... ill shut up now, i sound like an abusive mother!!)
Well Declan is Officially in a big boys bed, sharing a room with Xander now!! He's had 3 daytime naps and 2 nighttime naps, and had no probs yet... Xander's in jocks at night now, my boys are growing up too fast... And so's my little princess, ill get clucky again soon... even though i told DH im not even thinking about it till we have bought our house in the country...
-
Hi girls...
Bec, I hope everything is ok!!
Simone... one thing is for sure... when kids have a tantrum, they will always breathe eventually ;)
Yay for a big boys bid with little trouble! I am scared to put Violet in a bed... scared she'll get out and not sleep properly.
Dee, great to hear you are all doing well :D
Deb, how did you go with the car? I hope it is manageable. Damn cars!!
Trish, sounds like you had a great day in the park :)
Violet did a wee in the potty last night !!! She thought it was pretty good cause we were all cheering... very funny.
I have been putting horse poo on the lawn, and I dragged th bag over my foot and ripped the top of the big toe-nail off! Ouch! Lots of blood... Violet thought it was fascinating!! LOL.
Had swimming this morning, the girls had a ball. Then we went to the park with my sister and had lunch, they are so cute! All they do is run and laugh!!
TL
Tanya
-
The first night was hard Tanya, we kept having to go in and put him back in bed, but it only took the one night. Now he goes in, cries for 5 mins and goes to sleep. Go team blue :) And go violet for doing a week in the potty! Im not even thinking about toilet training until next summer, i just finished toilet training Xander, i want a break... and declans nowhere near ready anyway.
-
I'm home :)
My FIL came home over after I posted before, he offered to take Eliza off while I staggered into my doctor. I'm not pregnant :( I couldnt get into see a gynie tonight so my doctor is 90% is a cyst but if it gets worse I have a letter to take to emergency just in case it is apendix. Guee it is not good when you get sick and people depend on you. Thanks for caring girls :)
Bec
-
Oh so glad you are ok Bec. Was about to ring you when I thought I'd jump online to see if there's any updates (bit late to call and not be rude). Hugs matey... hope they can sort you out pretty quickly after the weekend. Tell Nick I said he has to look after you and BE HELPFUL! Reckon he can manage it?
Tanya - YAYYYYYY for Violet doing wees in the potty! Clever girl! I try to get Gab to do it but she sits down on it for a second then jumps up laughing. Ah well... at least she's sitting on it now. OUCH @ your poor toe! I felt nauseous just thinking about it. LOL @ Miss Violet thinking it was so interesting!
Simone - well done to Master Declan being in a big boys bed! Oooeer! Glad he's taken to it so well. I don't think Gab is anywhere near ready. She still loves tho cot (tho she's in the portacot still.... gotta get my cot from Geelong still - just waiting for someone to come and visit so they can bring it with them!).
Dee - thanks for popping in. Glad to hear things are going well with the boys. Sounds like Matthew is coming along in leaps and bounds.
I've just stopped tidying for the night. I've still got stacks I can do for tomorrow but I can't be bothered. Looks like I'll be running around like a chook tomorrow morning. Neil just had a "sample" of the spud salad I made and he reckons it's the best spud salad he's ever had. Cool! That's what a girl wants to hear!
The car was all good, Tanya. Only $150... very reasonable. It's now running heaps better (and no run-on... I used to turn it off and it'd keep running for a couple of seconds... shudder, shudder, shudder... LOL). Ooo and now it doesn't stall at traffic lights so no having to drive around with my foot permenantly on the accelerator... hoorah! PMSL
I was so annoyed tho. I got Gab ready to go this morning (all the while trying to keep her quiet so we didn't wake Neil). Had to grab the pram, shopping bags and car seat. I then had to walk to the mechanics and it bloody-well started p!ssing down with rain... grrr!! It was freeeeeezing here today. Apparently there's more of the same tomorrow. Grrreat BBQ weather!
-
Aww Deb, hope you girls didn't get too wet. YAY on your car getting fixed without too much money spent on it too. Stop stressing about your house woman. If people are there judging your house that you have only just moved into tell them to p off. It's not easy setting up house with little kids running around. No matter how many you have.
Bec, good to hear from you . Glad to hear that it probably isn't anything too severe. Make sure you keep us updated. And good on your FIL for looking after Eliza too.
Dee, hey great to hear from you hun. Our babies are all growing up way too fast. Atleast you have another baby now to go ga ga over. My baby making days are over. I will just have to get clucky over everyone elses now.
Tanya, YAY for Violet doing wee's. I try with Teh and she tells me wee's but so far no good. Ouchies on your toe, hope it's not too sore now. LOL at Violet though, typical kid, they love our misery. Do your girls sleep good after swimming?? Mine used to but no so anymore, damn it. Nothing can wear my kids out.
Simone, fantastic for Declan going into a big boys bed too. I am still trying to decide when to put Tehya into a bed, not like she sleeps the whole night in her cot anyway. Oh and on the breath holding, I'm yet to here of a child dying from holding their breath on a tantrum, they will take that breath, eventually. It's just their way at getting back at us for upsetting them in the first place ;)
Went to raffles tonight but came home empty handed :(
Had a guy from Juvenile Justice come over this afternoon for Joel in regard to the Youth Justice Conferencing he has to go to. I spoke to the man the other day and have requested that as a part of the program Joel will have to do that he can please include some anger management classes. I told him I am more than happy to go along with him, hey I might even learn something. He is going to put it forward so that it happens. I didn't ask him in front of Joel. Didn't want to hear his crap about it, this way if it is something under the courts instruction he has to do it :)
-
Good idea, Trish! Anger management will probably do him a world of good. Hek.. I reckon I could do with some anger management classes too, LOL. Hope it all goes really well. Even if it doesn't appear to be the case straight away, I bet Joel gets a whole lot out of it.
Thanks for your pep talk too :) I need them sometimes! Ok... all the time! hahaha
Gab, of course, woke at the crack-o-dawn but that's probably good. She can go and have her nap early and then be fresh and new to play with the kiddies that are coming over today.
I made frogs in ponds for the kids but they are more like "frogs drowning in ponds". PMSL... I put too much jelly in! I did 1 layer of 1 colour and let it set then put the other colour in. I thought I had let it cool enough but half the frogs are semi-melted. They look rather gruesome. Ah well... like Neil said, the kids will still eat them!
-
Maybe they can be frog's in Shrek's pond ;)
I think I might get something out of the anger classes too, which is why I told the guy I will go along with him, also it might show me ways on how to help him deal with it.
Tehya had a shocking night too. I decided to be nice and give Mark a bit and of course Tehya woke up, but she did well this time and it was perfect timing. Still the after cuddle would havebeen nice if it were with Mark and not Tehya ;)
Noah got up sometime early hours too, Mark is still asleep in bed with him while I am up with the witch. She's currently having MORE booby. Could've had that in bed but no....
Hope you have a fantastic day Deb. And I'm sure all will be too busy enjoying themselves and you to worry about anything else :)
We are supposed to be going to a bbq too today. Crappy weather for it though.
-
Neil's mate is gonna bring over something so we can have a fire going. No doubt the boys will stick it out outside... I'm tipping the girls and the kids will be inside infront of the fire like sane people, hehehe.
Awww @ Tehya being "the witch"... tell her that Debbie said she's gotta be a good girl for Mummy and have a nice, big sleep today!
Gab just watched Hi-5 like it was the best thing since sliced bread! I can't believe how much she pays attention to TV now... it's great!! hahaha
-
Got to love that electronic babysitter. Tehya will watch it but generally only if Noah is watching it too. He loves Hi 5 and Charlie is his girlfriend, just ask him :)
I love watching them dance around liek idiots to the music on there, so funny and cute.
Mark and Noah are up now and he's doing the breakfast's so that's good for me :)
Ohhh a fire, that will be nice. Can we come to your bbq instead please ?? I promise not to look at your house ;)
-
Of course you can, Trishy! You guys are always welcome. If you leave now, you'll get here just in time for cold leftovers, LOL.
-
No problem, just make sure your fire is still going. LOL.
Hmm a plane and I would make it there by around lunhctime ;)
-
Ooo yeah! Ok... get that personal jet warmed up, hehehehe.
-
HAHA, now I was wondering what to spend my raffle winnings on ;)
Seriously though, I would love to get down and visit you guy's one day.
Just said to Mark not to call out Oh Baby in the middle of the night because the O Baby wakes up ;) LOL.
-
PMSL... so I take it you guys are in a "good place" now then ;)
Oh me too... I really want to get up to Sydney one of these days!
-
Well lets just say we are being nicer to each other and I have really been making an effort this week :)
Your more than welcome to come on up here hun.
-
Aww that's good that things are at least a little more bearable to live with. Neil and I are still a bit tense... but I think he's walking on egg shells a little. He told me that I sound like my mother sometimes :( Worst insult in the world. But, it's true! Bloody AF! She turns me into a psycho!
I think I smell a poopy nappy. I suppose I should go and have a shower and start functioning for the day. Is it too early to have a bourbon?? ;) hahaha
-
LOL, Deb, I get the worst PMS, I know that I'm being an outright b!tch but jsut can't stop it.
LOL at being like your mum, I catch myself being like mine sometimes too and it scares the hell out of me. Probably Mark too.
Have fun today hun and remember not to stress. If things are all organised pretty much before people get there you can relax and get to chat to your guest's.
As for the bourban, can you push it out until 10 ;)
-
*sigh* yeaaahhhh... I'll try my best ;) hehehe
-
Hey guys - Tired mummy here - same as all of you I'm sure!
Simone - its pretty exciting putting them in the big bed huh? We put Jenna in about 2m ago, and she thought it was great! Didn't get out too much unless she was unsettled anyway. But during the day still wants to go in her cot for a sleep which is fine cause she gets in and out so bloody much during the day.
After her being sick we are back in the cot full time, which we will do until she wants back in the bed. I dont really care where she sleeps as long as she sleeps!!
Trish - good for you going to the anger management classes too. I think everyone could gain something from them, regadless of whether we think we can ;) I hope they work out well, and great that you and Mark are a little more cuddly too. How sweet.
Deb - good luck for the BBQ, dont get too trashed mate. I'm just jealous! And hopign that Neils shift work is going well. Tell him I understand anyway, days then nights really muck up the body clock. Its one of the worst shift patterns, but also good when you get the time off.
Dee - thanks for popping in. I hope you are going really well :) Not long for me, and wondering if we have a pink or blue. Speaking of which.....
Tanya - your sig is interesting. Is there an announcement??
Sarah - I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
Bec - I hope you are OK. I'll call and check.
OMG the expo was crazy and Jenna was her normal psycho self. Thank goodness we had great people behind us on the train on the way up to Melb. She played peekaboo with them for about 15mins while eating an apple. But the expo is so not a place for mummy and baby by themselves. Completely nuts, and now Shane is playing cricket this afternoon, and then tomorrow am he is doign the BBQ for the golf day for work, so I'm mummy alone this weekend. Not too happy about that given how tired I am, but I guess I'll just really have to start resting when she does. They are in the bath at the moment, trying out her new shampoo and cond designed for curly hair. Hopefully it will help with the knots!
And if one more person comments on my childs hair.... ARGH! I am over people saying how cute her curls are!!!!!!!!
Have a good day all :)
-
LOL Fi, I love Jenna's curls too ;) What shampoo is that ?? I just use Johnsons on Tehya's hair but I have to use their baby leaave in detangelr spray too coz it get's so knotty.
Been dlding some music. I love Christina Aguilera's new song Hurt. Very moving. Also got that funky new song by The Scissor Sister's called I don't feel like Dancing. Very boppy :)
-
Trish - Its by a company called boofheads (I'm sure you can figure out the rest of the .au site....) and they do natural washes that are SLS free which is nice. They do a detangler too, but they recommended just the straight conditioner on Jennas hair. I expect you could try both? The detangler is a spray bottle. If you have a look and decide to order use this code PBC2006 when askedfor your advertising code and you can get 25% off before end Jan 07.
Ididn't brush jenna's hair this morning, but I felt it out of the bath, and it was lovely and soft which was nice.
-
Thanks for that Fi, I will check them out later on.
Have to go searching for Brandon soon. We are going out to a bbq and he stayed at his mates house last night - a whole other story, anyway I caught him on msn this morning and told him to be home by 10.30 as he was in trouble and we were going out. Well he still isn't here. I have a phone number for his friends house but of course they have gone out. I am sooooo angry with him atm. Bad Boy Brandon !!!
-
Grrr naughty Brandon! I hope you found him, Trish!
Fi - LOL @ you being sick of people admiring Jenna's hair. It is her most distinguishing feature! I reckon you'll be getting comments about it for the rest of hef life ;) I understand what you mean tho... I got tired of people talking about Gabby's chubby cheeks when she was littler (they're not so chubby now). It was all anyone wanted to talk about... "Look at those cheeks!". Arrgh!
BBQ went alright. Everyone was a little too polite and awkward but it wasn't too bad. I made enough food to feed the 5000 and people hardly ate anything!! OMG! Luckily Neil's brother stayed the night so we fired the bbq back up and ate some more later. There were even kebabs left - who ever heard of leftover kebabs?? That never happens.
Everyone was talking about how each of the couples met - some had really interesting stories. Then it came to how Neil and I met... I told them we met online and that went down like a led balloon. Everyone went silent. OMG... it's not like it's the most unheard of way to meet! I got a bit ****ed off about that. I would have preferred if someone at least laughed or something.
Gab had a great time playing with the kids... the ages ranged from 2-9. The two older boys took it upon themselves to throw all the old branches and loose sticks onto the fire so they cleaned up our yard for us! They even raked up leaves! Brilliant!
The littler kids chased eachother around on bikes - Gabby even helped push one of the bigger kids on a bike and thought it was hilarious. Not bad considering she yelled at them all when they first got here because they were playing with HER toys ;)
I told everyone how Gab likes to go to the pond and say hi to the "fissys". I just got thru saying how it'll be the one time I turn my back for a second and she'd fall in when... you guessed it, she fell in! Arrgh! One of the ladies "fished" her out (only her bottom half got wet) and Gab chucked the biggest tanty. I think she was more p!ssed off that she fell in rather than frightened. I took her inside and changed her while she threw a tanty because she wanted to be outside. Bloody hell!
I ended up going to bed by 10:30pm because I was so tired. The drinks weren't going down all that well so I didn't get too drunk. Neil got up and hurled this morning tho. He is trying to tell me it was the kebabs but I am fine... and his bro and GF haven't gotten up to spew.... so I think Neil just had too much to drink ;)
-
LOL at Neil and the "kebabs", more like bourbans :)
Awww poor Gabby falling in the pond, lucky she was spotted though. Did the fissy's like her up and close ?? Good on the big boys for cleaning up for you too. I guesss you can still have left overs for lunch today too. See, there would've been plenty for me to have :)
Yeah we found Bradon, drove to wear the boys mum said they were and here he was sitting in the front verander in his bloody school uniform!! He got in lot's of trouble and I ended up dropping him straight at his dads work, told him he could have him for the day as we were going out and I wasn't taking him out in his uniform. Felt bad for him, but he was the disobedient one.
Our bbq was ok, but we ended up being the only people that turned up. Was bloody cold too. We left there alittle after 5, grabbed some dvds on the way home, nice warm baths and the kids were in bed by 7.30.
Mark and I sat up and watched Saw II, I don't think it was a gory as the first one, thank God. I was dreading watching it. Watch it if you like thrillers. Great twists.
