HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTY
Hope you have a really wonderful day and make sure you put all those freeloaders to work looking after the boys so you can have a day just for you.
Tan, Beth is still feeding ok although she's very snuffly. she's been having decent 3-4 hour sleeps too, although there is still a bit of coughing and sneezing, she usually sleeps through it. The Bear bought a vaporiser for her room yesterday which seems to have helped a lot but she's still pretty miserable. We're taking her to the doctor this morning, shame it's so horrid outside, it's absolutely pouring.
Got to get ready to go, so mel, kel, tasia, feeb, zee, SW, Belle, tenny, missy and err.... anyone I've forgotten.... catch up later
Just sit back honey and RELAX today.. you deserve it..
Tan- DH got the Wii fit today for Fathers day (yup sent him out to buy his own presents..) so I guess we'll have a go of that!! Woohoo!! Exercise.. LOL... I got on the scales today and OMG.. yup.. won't be doing that again for a while.. I wonder if all that chocolate I've eaten has anything to do with that... hmmm.....
Zee - we weighed DD this morning - she is just a smidge off 5 kg...
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, it's such a gorgeous day here in Melbourne and I'm stuck indoors as my DH and daughter are both asleep at the moment. But I'm enjoying a cuppa after all the cleaning and washing I have done.
Izzy is doing really well had her MHN apt last on Wednesday and she had put on 350g in 2 weeks a little on the low side for bottle feed babies apparently but still good. Oh she also told me to give her alternative thickened milk to see how she goes with that cause of her reflux and I have seen a huge change. She doesn't squirm with the thickened milk but when she has it normal she is just a worm and throws it up afterwards.
So a question to the mummy's that are bottle feeding would you just go and buy the AR formula and give that continuously or would you just do what I'm doing every second feed?? Also she is currently on Nan and I'm thinking of changing to Karicare as it has an AR ready to go is that a good brand?
Tannis - I too have my 6 week apt on Monday, it has flown hey can't believe it's gone so quickly.
Tenny - We love having you part of our group too, I'm so happy that we all get along so well and have continued with this thread too... It's a pity we all live in different parts of Australia cause it would have been nice to have met everyone.
Pixie - I hope Beth is okay, glad that the vapouriser is helping her though. It's horrible when they can't breath poor little things.
A BIG to Missy, Kell, Zee, Belle, Mel, Jess, SW, Tasia and everyone else I have missed.
Happy Father's Day for tomorrow for the Daddys in case I dont get a chance to get on tomorrow.
Havent had a chance to read through the last 2 days of posts yet, hope everyones doing well and big hugs to all!!!
Little Miss has Colic which explains why we havent had much sleep the last few days, so we have been using the Brauer Colic Relief which is working wonders, she's actually happy to lay down for more than 10mins. So Im doing a quick check of the forums then of to catch up on cleaning & put a load of nappies on.
Mel - have you used a BBB on DD yet? We had one on DD the night before last & I fell asleep while feeding her in bed so she was in it for 9 hours & no leaks or pooplosions! Very impressed
Happy Birthday, Kristy =)))) Hope you have enjoyed your day so far and that it just gets better from here on in. Hope DH has made a huge effort to make you feel REALLY special - you honour him so well every day with how you raise his boys =) I commend you!!
Happy Dads Day to all the daddies
DH is watching horror movies with Alyssa - said he needs to get it out of his system now before she's old enough to get upset by them Well, he's watching the movie and she's watching him (or the cats if they get in her line of sight).
thankyou so much for all the wonderful thoughts you sent me, they really made me feel good about myself, and helped alot.
today was pritty good. it started out with my FIL, SIL and nephews not bothering to come over. I was so P!ssed off, they didn't even bother to call, i cooked lesagna chicken wings and salad. as well as little cupcakes with sprinkles. How rude not to call, So i am being a ***** and decided to send my SIL (its her bday tomorrow) her card home with my MIL but i have kept her pressie for myself.
after i got over the fact that i felt totally rejected that everyone didn't bother to come over i had a couple of wines and was much better. stuff the lot of them decided not to spend christmas with any of them this year. if i had known they wouldn't come i would have invited my friends and not my stupid inlaws.
my aunty brought her grand son over today too so isaac had a great time with him. and it was great to spend the day with mum, john, my aunty and all the kids. oh and my MIL was there too she was ok.
Ayapi- i was always advided to ween onto a different formula not to just swap as they may get pains in the tummy. i had ike on the karricare it was good, now i am using heinz nurture GOLD, its great i'm not sure if they have an AR formula. my advise is not to switch too much when you find what works stick to it. you may be interested in the NOVALAC range tho, you get it from the chemist they have different formulas for different issues and i have been told there is no problem switching within the range as the basic formula is the same it just has added stuff to combat your problems their web site will probably explain it better.
Gudism- do you like the Wii? we r buying one 4 christmas.
SYD mates- have we decided where to go yet? a fenced park would be great isaac just isn't as well behaved when in the pram all day as he used to be. there is a great park in windsor that in fenced but its a bit far for everyone else. i will look at the rouse hill one tomorrow. im sure it has toddler play area and also is off the road so it is safe.
Happy Fathers Day all those daddies out there!!!
DH is at work this morning until about 11am.. so we'll have some pancakes when he gets home.
Kristy.. id be peeved too. And wouldnt invite them again. How rude!!! Glad you had a nice day without them anyways.
Mez.. im not to sure when it comes to reflux formula. Id probably just get her use to it as every second bottle, then slowly exchange one bottle for the reflux stuff until shes fully on that. Especially if it seems to be working for her and she has been properly diagnosed with reflux.
Tannis.. yeh i agree with the olive oil and baby oil.. then i read about the sorbelene in a magazine and used that and found it worked brilliantly for Jesse. Yeh its always worth just talking about it. But do know youre not alone ok honey. It is so hard isnt it, especially with a toddler thrown into the mix. I was in tears again last night just because im so tired and Keira wouldnt go to sleep. She was fine, not crying but just wide awake. Sleep deprevation is a killer.
Zee.. yeh that was with clothes on though.. but plus she is formula fed so will probably account for more weight. But they say 200gs per week is best and shes doing that so very happy. Yeh i am tall, no doubt she will be too, Jesse will be for sure. DH is tall too.
Tasia.. im the same with my appetite. I think alot of the time its i just dont have time to stop and eat. It will come back.
DITTO TO WHAT TENNY SAID!!!!! I love this group so much. I love how everyone is so supportive.. something you really need when you have a baby. for everyone!
Syd Gals.. yeh im happy with Castle Towers? Whats everyone else think?
Ok gonna go hang out the washing while little miss is snoozing.
Morning all (just started typing at 11.57 so its still morning.. )
kristy - that sucks.. I woulda kept the pressie for myself too... LOL.... hope you are having a good day today *mwah*
Oh and yeah the Wii is cool - I did some exercise yesterday - it told me I was obese.. pmsl... well yeah.. but I just had a baby.. thats my excuse...lol
Kel - I was up with DD early this morning too - not crying, she just didn't want to sleep... so I went into the lounge room - hit DS's fire engine toy THREE times with my foot - whilst swearing - and paced the floors with her trying to get her to sleep.. finally got her to sleep half an hour later.. and put her back in bed... I swear, 2 minutes later she woke up again.. GRRRR.. so DH got up and I fell back asleep - apparently it took him half an hour to get her to go to sleep too... by this time it was 5.30!!!! (She woke at 3.30 for a feed) and then DS was up at 6.30.. lol.. so DH is a bit tired today - I'm going to get him to go for a nap soon..
And I agree with all too - this group is great (no wonder I can't leave it even though technically I'm not supposed to be here!!)
Mez - if it were me - I would actually go and buy that formula that seems to be helping. I've switched DD three times now with different formulas and she hasn't had any belly problems so it might be a baby thing instead of a standard reaction to have belly probs? I dunno...
Sal - no I haven't tried the BBB on her yet - still with other fitted nappies that I scored off FJ and covers at night. Although got her in an IB at the moment - sooo cute!!!! Got her into a medium one.. heheheeheheheehehe
Happy Father's day to all the daddies *mwah* enjoy your babies!!!!!!
Well better go keep stuffing nappies and put more washed ones on the line... never ends here!!!
Damn DD just woke up.. grrr... she's supposed to be sleeping.....ahh well.. like I said.. never ends here!!!
Happy Father's day.
I hope all your partners had a great day.
Bear - Happy Father's day!!! I hope you had a fantastic first father's day.
Kristy - I can't believe they didn't call. That's just plain rude. Stuff em. Way to go at keeping the present I would have done the same thing. I'm glad you had a good birthday.
Mez - Good luck with the forumla switching. I hope it works out and helps your little miss.
Tasia - I'm the same with my appetite lately. Sometimes I forget to eat lunch, then I wonder why I'm hungry later on. Lol.
Mel - I hope DD sleeps better tonight
I need to snap out of all this crap in my mind. Geez, I'm sick of myself.
Great weather here today. It was really nice. We went to watch sport finals today.. DP went to the local footy comp finals and I went to the soccer finals to watch my sister. Since they're at the same sporting place it worked out well... and ontop of that I won DP a wheelbarrow of alcohol. Like 2 cases of beer, 6 or something bottles of wine and and some spirits - scotch, rum, etc. aswell as the wheelbarrow. LOL
