Missy - Your photos are great. Thanks for sharing them.

Kell - YAY for Jesse sleeping through the night. Whooooooohoooooooo! Go Jesse!! Good luck with your appointment tomorrow and I hope the doctor can help with Keira's chucking. I'm sorry no idea about the Avent teats. I didn't even know you'd have to change them, but when you think about it it's logical. I'm so airy fairy in my head these days. Lol.

Hayd seems better so far today.

Formula feeding mummas, how much are your bubbas drinking now?

How often are you all getting your babies weighed?
I guess I should get Haydie weighed soon.

I'm sick of this weather. I wish I'd make up it's mind cause I have trouble deciding what to dress Haydie in.

Tenny - Isabel is getting 150mls of thickened formula, although she doesn't always drink the full amount, but she will normally drink up to 120 - 130mls most feeds.

Kell - when I started Isabel on karicare AR I went up a size in teat now using number 2. I do believe that there is a teat for thicken milk in avent I read it somewhere?

Awww thanks ladies for the comments on my photos. I love them.

Ayapi I was using Nestle's NAN 1HA Gold Easy to Digest formular with Karicare food thickener but now I have decided to put him on Karicare AR thickened Infant formular from Birth as I was sick of trying to find the Thickner all the time. It was getting to hard going from shop to shop. They do make AR in NAN but cant find that too. I'll see how he goes if he is getting to much poo pain ill try him on the Karicare AR HA Thickened formular. Yes Liam is using the fastest teats. YAY on Isabel sleeping longer. Well done hunny bun

Tenny hun Liam is having (well when I had to put thickner in his bottle as well as formular it was 170mls) but now it only goes up to 160mls which he drinks most times. 90% of the time he will have it all and 10% of the time he will have 120-130mls. How much is Hayden having. I use to get Callum weighed once a week till he was 8 weeks then every month but Liam I get weighed 2 - 3 weekly. He has been weighed 2 time by the clinic and once by the pedi.

    Well bbl

    Thanks for the replies. <3
Hayden is having between 140 and 160ml. He doesn't always drink it, and he's a slow drinker too. It's frustrating some days. Elijah was a gutsy little piggie so he was always gulping it down and drinking it all. Lol.

We got Elijah weighed every week when he was only a baby, but this time with Hayden we've been doing it every 2 to 3 weeks. When the clinic is open is usually the days I don't feel like going out or the weather is horrible.

Hope you're all having a great day.

    Afternoon all,

Well Isabel had her 8 week Health Nurse appointment today and all is well. She is now 4.73kgs has put on 435g in two weeks. Is now 55cm long and her head is 38.5cm. I think it's cause of the new formula I've put her on. I am very happy with how everything is going. I'm also feeling in control which is great cause I'm a very organised person it was driving me crazy that I wasn't in control. Isabel's next apt now is at 4 months so that's all good, just have to get her immunisations in October.

Tenny - I've been going every 2 weeks for Isabel's check up, her next one now is at 4 months of age.

It's a gorgeous day here in Melbourne so going to go outside and enjoy it a little before it gets dark.

    Hi ladies!

Missy.. i totally forgot to ask my gf today but have just emailed her about the belly button. Yeh Keira chucks in her sleep too. Of a morning her sheets she laying on and blankets shes wrapped in are all pukey. Yeh Jesse was a pukey baby too.. though he didnt bring it up as much as she is hours after i dont think.. and didnt look like it hurt when he did. His stopped when he started sitting up. I never changed his formula. But Keira just seems alot worse i think than he was.

Mez.. i know what you mean.. i was in tears after Jesse's first lot of needles! Though think ill be alot better this time round since ive had to go through it so many times lol. Though still, its horrible seeing you babies in pain no matter what it is hey. Thats great Izzy is sleeping so much better and is alot more settled! Quick question re her reflux. Was she put on some medication before you tried the AR formula? Yeh i thought i read it too.. maybe it was on that little sticker on the side of the teats container? I'll have a look at the shops tomorrow as ive thrown ours out.

Tenny.. yeh i will need to change the teats either way i think, whether she goes on the AR or not. Shes on number 2 teats (2 holes) and is fussing so much as it is and taking forever to feed. So will be getting more either way i guess. But yeh if it is thicker, will be harder to get out. Re how much. She was drinking down 150mls without fail (well thats just the water, its prob really 160mls or so with the powder in it). Now she doesnt finish it. I think she must have had a growth spurt and has now slowed down so isnt needing as much? Shes drinking around 120mls i think. I havent weighed her since her 6 week check. Might do it tomorrow at the chemist.

Well Jesse and Isaac had a ball today, running around the yard and the house. Was so nice to see them so happy playing together.

SW - Alyssa is just gorgeous. I also love the photo of your other baby in the bouncer

Kell - Yes Isabel is on Zantac, she was on that with just the normal formula and is still on it with the AR. I am only using the number 2 teat for Isabel and she seems to be drinking it within half hour. I was told to when you need to stop to place it in hot water so that it doesn't get thicker.

Mez.. oh ok. Yeh Keira fusses though on the number 2s. Like she sits and wiggles and kicks her legs and doesnt suck etc. When Jess did that i just went up in teats and seemed to be the problem. Oh really.. i thought half an hour was too long to be feeding? maybe im wrong.. i guess as long as shes happy thats all that matters Did you find the Zantac helped at all on its own?

    SW.. very cute!

    Good evening everyone

Hope everyone had a good day today> I went to my sister's house today & she did my hair colour, just touch up & she trimmed it as well. Then we went to Northland & I bought Jonathan one of those Baby Einstein toys. I also want to go buy him Gymini kick N' Play that cost $119.99, but I'm waiting for the sale to come so I will wait. I wanted so badly to buy it today but my sis was like wait for the sale to come. The Einstein I bought used to be $80.00 & it went down to $39.99.

Missy- The Christening photos look great, I'm glad it all went great, they are gorgeous photos

Kell- LOL I do want TTC, I have to wait for my next period to come & then we can start trying. My natropath wants to see wat my cycle on when I get my period. Yup I'm craaaaaazyyyy. Yayyyy for Jesse sleeping all night through.

Mary- I give Jonathan his last bottle at 12am, he doesn't get up in between 4-5am for his next bottle, then up at 8am for his next one, then 12pm, then 4pm and so on every four hours, but at nite I don't wake him. I was going to do it 1am instead of 12am but I'm to exhausted, we us ladies need our sleep as well. So we can interact & care for our bubba's I'm glad that everything went well on Izzy's appointment.

Tenny- Jonathan is having between 100mls-125mls sometimes he cries for more & I give it to him. The last check up for the nurse was 3 weeks ago my next one is next Tuesday as I changed MHN, but have not told the other MHN but I will, I just don't know wat to say to her. The last time Jonathan got weighed was 4.81kg.

SW- Alyssa is just too cute. LOL love the other baby in the bouncer.

SW - Cute photos. The other baby in the bouncer looks comfy.

Kell - We're going to go up to number 3 teats soon too. He's going alright most of the time with 2's but then other times squirms and kicks flat out like he can't get it out fast enough or something. It could be just his mood too, I'm not really sure.

Tasia - I hope your hair looks great. It's always nice to have your hair dyed or cut or something to pep you up, well it works for me when I'm down. Yeah, I'd wait for the sale too. Lol.

I uploaded a new picture of both my boys together. Hayden has a little double chin happenin' Lololol.

    Morning all

Tenny - Your boys are just gorgeous! I was thinking the same thing Kell, maybe we should introduce Hayden and Isabel

    Kell
    - I found that the Zantac was working for like a week but then she started kicking and arching her back again and screaming so I was told to mix the thicken powder in her normal formula for every second feed. She was horrible without the thickened milk so I just changed it to full time and she is a dream on it now. I really can't wait till they grow out of it cause I hate seeing her in pain. I was told by the nurse if they feed for longer than an 1hour they are just playing. Good luck for your appointment today sweet.

    Tasia
    - It's always nice to get your hair done hey. I'm sure it looks great and you're now ready for the christening on the weekend. I would wait too for the sales, it wont be long before they start again sweet.

Hey Mez! a bit quiet in here today
Kel & Kristy glad you had a good day together... crappy that the council turning off the power had to be the reason for it though!
sw & Tenny, gorgeous pics! Tenny Beth has a double chin too.... and now that she is losing the baby hair, a bad mullet!
Tasia great getting your hair done .... felt so much better when I got mine done. We have been crap about buying toys.... haven't really thought about it, I suppose we should really, although she has heaps of toys people have given her that we haven't even got out yet.
    Missy love the christening photos.....
Mel You don't need to bother reading the next bit as I posted it on August too:
Well we had a great night here last night.... I went to bed about 10 cause I wasn't feeling great and the Bear gave DD her last feed at about 11, and she slept through until 5am! And then, I fed her for five minutes and she fell back to sleep and wouldn't wake up to finish her feed.... I even changed her nappy but no she stayed asleep and didn't wake up until nearly 8! So that was great probably the longest uninterrupted sleep I've had since she left the NICU.
This morning had my 6 week check with the OB. All fine apart from the fact (*warning possible TMI*) that I've got a recurring cyst that has flared up again GRRRRR I rang yesterday to get some antibiotics for it and they faxed me a script so already on to it as far as treatment goes, but it's pretty painful so you can imagine that made the internal exam + pap smear + diaphragm fitting pretty damn uncomfortable!
Then took DD out to lunch with one of my besties, and to the office to see some work friends which was all good! She was really well behaved, slept through for about two hours, woke up and had a feed during lunch, and then was awake and happy while meeting the colleagues.... so we had a really good morning.
Anyhoo, stuff to do so back later

    Well we're back.

Im all good re my check up. Got a script for the pill, she did a blood test.. no pap smear woo! she said to wait until December when im due.
Keira does have reflux so she told me to put her on AR formula. She said to start out every second feed to see how she goes with it, whether it agrees with her etc. So bought the Karicare AR formula and i found the Avent teats i was talking about. Theyre the pink ones, variable flow.. says on the front for Thickened Formula. So will give them a go too. Didnt get Keira immunised.. she said its best to wait until they are past the 2 months so thats cool. Another week or so we'll go back.

Mez.. i know what you mean. Every time Keira chucks after her feed her eyes go all red and watery and she crys a little. Shouldve heard the poor pet in the car on the way home after she puked 3 hours after her feed. Hopefully now with the AR formula it will help her. Ahh cool, re the time. Also maybe with the thick formula it might take a little longer? will see

Pixie.. ohthats great Beth is doing so well through the night!

Ok.. running late on lunch so gonna chow down before the ILs arrive.
