Doesn't help that I didn't feed her before I went to bed last night, so she was up at 1.30 and then again at 5.30..... she slept through twice last week but now I feel like I'm the only one with a baby still waking up in the night!
My baby still wont sleep for long, we're up to 3 1/2 hours at a time now, we've tried most things including baths before bed & wrapping. Tonight we are going to try her in the portacot & see if it makes a differnce out of the bassinette. The longest sleep we ever got was 5 hours and that was weeks ago

Melb girls -I can do meets anywhere just off the Monash fwy/West Gate Fwy/Western Ring Rd (we live just off the monash fwy) & SE suburbs, anything else is too far for us coz its an hour to the city as it is

Hope everyone is well & their bubbies are behaving, mines just gone to sleep so Im off to sleep too.
    Night all

    Chatty tonight!

We had a lovely dinner at SIL's place, except one of her cats attacked Jayden again, he has a scratch less than mm's from his eye from when he was there yesterday then tonight he only got Jayden's tshirt.

Rach: Hope Beth settles for you, it might be the AB's if the same thing happened last time you were on them. Eww with the chicken, I eat meat but I hate touching raw meat esp the blood (I have to of course but I don't like it haha). Enjoy you holiday!

Missy: Yay for the boys sleeping through, Jayden is crying at his gate now....hopefully when he does fall asleep its for the whole night! Flights from Syd shouldn't be too much, they are heaps from QLD though!

Jess: I'll try for around the 3rd Nov a meet with everyone would be great! Is there a park or something at Southbank where the older kids can play?

Tasia: Men are frustrating aren't they?? He doesn't see he is doing anything wrong which really annoys me as it sometimes makes me feel I'm overreacting! Hope it gets better for you!

Sal: I have a friend in Pakenham, if I get there to see her (which I should) we should meet at a park nearby or something, just a thought if you can't make to to the other meet.

I told Chris about mum offering the money, he said why can't she use that money for them to come up here? Fair call really as they haven't seen our new house (which is a yr old this month) and my dad hasn't been up here since Jayden was born, but I told Chris that I wanted to see my friends too, its ok for him all his friends are here! So I told him that I will tell mum that I'm not "allowed" to go! I asked him if he was scared I wouldn't come back, in which he didn't reply. When we got home he said that I hadn't even asked if he wants to go, but he always says he can't get time off (like when Ash was born), he doesn't like hanging out with my friends....It annoys me that he expects me to justify why I want to go down there. Hmm sorry thats my little vent over....I better go Jayden is still awake and playing in his room ...Sorry for the long post.

I'm going into work today to negotiate my hours for when I return next year. I'm not going back until about March but I need to know for day care to get the kids a place. Hopefully it won't take long and I can get home.

Melb girls - I can't do 20th sorry I have mothers group on this Monday as we didn't get to do the baby massage and it's the day we have decided to return with our supervisor. I can do the Tuesday?? I think southbank would be a good place to meet up so that skittlebub can attend too.

Pixie - Isabel isn't sleeping through the night, she normally get up 2 - 3am and then 7am so I'm still getting up during the night to feed her. Have a great time on your holiday!

Tannis - I can't believe that you have to justify why you want to come to Melbourne and visit your family and friends. I just told my DH last week that I'm going to NZ to visit his family I didn't ask just told him lol. Oh I hope Jayden is okay.

Missy - woohoo on Liam sleeping so well last night! That is wonderful, I really can't wait till Isabel does it too but I think it will be a while before she lets me have a full nights sleep.

Tasia - The grobags are a great invention for our bubs, Isabel sleeps great in them I'm even taking them to NZ in a couple of weeks time.

Not much to report here, just that my little princess is understanding that I am putting her down for a sleep during the day now and is just not having a bar of it.. so I just keep her up until she is exhausted and she falls asleep pretty much ASAP. Its really frustrating cause I want to do so much around the house but can't cause she is up, oh well.

Wow it was a chatty night wasn't it... holy moly..

I don't think I could seriously make a trip down to Melbourne.... not when i'm supposed to be going back to work soon - but it was nice to dream for a while!! Thanks Tan And SW - yes I know you would put me in the boot of the car if there wasn't anything else available just cos you love me THAT much..

Another sleep though last night - woohoo! Well, she woke up at 3ish but was settled by daddy and the dummy.. yay... I didn't have to move my fat butt out of bed.. pmsl...

She has been quite unsettled today though - could be the heat, then she was overtired. Both kids are sleeping so I should be getting my lunch ready..... cos I'm starving! I was most impressed with myself last night -was tempted to get maccas and me and DH were having a BIG fight (like I told him to get the F out, and just F'in leave already.. you get the picture) and I managed to cook dinner and not give into temptation!!!! Yayyyy for Mellie...

Yup, should go make lunch while I can...

Howdy doody to all and sundry!!!!

    Off with the fairies.

    Afternoon everyone.

Kell - I'd love the "girl recipe". I've already told DP that we're going to try our best at gender swaying. This time we just hoped for the best.

Tan - OMG. I doubt I could do 5 situps. Sounds like you're going great guns with your exercise routine. I need to take a leaf outta your book. I lack motivation BIGTIME!
I can't believe Chris is like that. Seriously, he needs to grow up and stop being so damn selfish. You don't need permission to visit your friends and family.
WHOA! The scratches Jayden got, too close to his eye. I hope he's alright. So lucky it didn't get his eye. Once they turn the tv on themselves they'll be hogging it from now on and think they own it. That's what Elijah did/does. Lol. Btw, I didn't know you had a boy and girl recipe. Far out, I'm getting more excited about it now even though it'll be way way off.

Mez - I'm so glad you're getting fairly decent night sleeps. Hayden has times throughout the week that he doesn't have a bar of the day sleeping. Just the slight movement that he thinks is you putting him down and he'll start whinging. It is so frustrating. Hayden likes to do lately when I'm going to cook dinner or hang the washing out.

    Feeb - How's Jacob doing?

Pixie - I hope yesterday was just a one off kinda day for Beth and she's a good little bubba while you're away. Have a safe, relaxing trip with the Bear and your babygirl.

Tasia - Hayden has 5 bottles a day still and each bottle we have 180ml in the bottle... sometimes he drinks it all sometimes he doesn't. Even when you up the amount of milk they have each feed, you don't drop the amount of bottles in the day. My DP doesn't seem to like the grobags either. I'm not sure why cause we've never tried them.

Belle - How're you going? Is Tara sleeping better for you, sweet?

Missy - Liam sounds like he's going so well! It's fantastic to hear. Elijah has been getting out of bed later too. So far it's the only thing that's been good with Daylight savings. lol.

Skittle - I hope your DD sleeps better for you in the portacot.

Hey, *waves* Mel, SW, Jess & everyone I might have missed. How're your days going?

Oh, a couple of questions about the grobags. I haven't gotten any... yet and I don't know anything about them really.
-- Do/will you use them through summer? Will they get too hot in them?
Elijah was a sweaty boy(still is), so it wouldn't have been good for him. So far Hayden isn't like that, but it's not summer yet, so I'm not sure.
-- Where abouts do/did you get yours from?

I think that's it for now.

    Morning all!

Oh im so tired! I so dont get what it is with Jesse and his moaning through the night! Its driving me nuts!!!!!! Its not like he wakes and calls out.. he just moans.. it like starts a down low sound and then goes high.. then again.. and again. Then miss Keira wakes this morning at 7am.. i hear him awake when im changing her nappy.. now the bugger is asleep on the lounge room floor with a pillow and blanket! Think im gonna need a strong coffee shortly.

Belle.. oh crap.. glad you are ok and your car is ok too.. and they caught them!

Mez.. honey i know exactly how you feel. They just dont realise how tiring and stressful it is to be home with the kids. My DH is the same. They think all you do while home is sit and watch telly. Until they are home with the kids themselves they will never know. Its not an easy job at all. And you are doing absolutely wonderful ok. My DH will help, only when i ask. He does things without complaining after i ask.. but i shouldnt have to ask iykwim. I think they think we're handling everything fine.. but they just dont get it. Maybe your DH was having a hard day at work for him to kinda snap at you. Hopefully Izzy was just having an unsettled time from the needles. It sounds like it to me. It can go on for a week or so after them. Just give her some panadol hun. She'll be back to her wonderful good self soon. And remember, if its ever getting to you, just go and put her in bed, close her door and get some fresh air ok. It wont kill her to cry a little.. just while you get your bearings back. They do pick up on you being frustraited.. so you need to look after you too ok hun.

Tenny.. well our Keira recipe.. you need to get some OPK to check when you ovulate etc. I was also charting my temp on Fertility Friend.. but you dont really need to do temps. A few months before just work out roughly what day you ovulate. The when AF is here, get DH to weat undies (DH wore those cotton bonds boxer type shorts). They need to keep their "boys" or in our case" girls" warm. He needs to wear them for 5 days by day only.. at night either normal boxers or nothing. This in theory will lower his sperm count just a little. Then once AF is gone.. DTD every second day until 5 days before AF is due. Then stop. DTD often will also keep the sperm count lower and using a cut off... girl sperms live longer than boys. Boys live 1-3 days and i think girls were 3-5 days. So hopefully by the time you Ovulate, all the boys will be dead and only girls left. If you dont fall pregnant that month, next month reduce it to 4 days before ovulation and then 3 and so on. Only use the undies for 2 months. This is what we did with Keira. She had a 2 day cut off. My sister did the same with my neice.. not sure what cut off she had though. But its all definately worth a try. I'll PM you a website that has alot of good info on gender swaying too.
Re the grobags.. i have one of each tog. Lowest tog is 0.5.. and its basically like a sheet. With Jesse yep, i used them in summer. Main reason i used them for him and wil be for Keira is both my little buggers like to pull blankets over their heads. So least this way in summer she will have a sheet thickness over her during the night. I got most of mine from a website called bumpto3. Its in the UK but works out cheaper inc shipping, than buying them from anywhere in Australia... unless you get second hand ones on ebay. They can be quite expensive. If my kids didnt pull blankets over their heads, i probably wouldnt bother with them.. but then i guess theyd be good in winter so they dont kick the blankets off and get cold.

Tannis.. hmm are you still going to go?? I think you should.. even if he doesnt come. He needs to remember what life is without someone who looks after him! And appreciate it!

Tasia.. just work it out so he's having 5 bottles a day.. still every 3-4 hours. As they grow they will need more milk to keep their bellies full. Keira on between 110-150mls atm. I think because shes not bringing up as much with the AR formula, shes not drinking as much. Jesse use to be a guzzle guts though!

Skittlebub.. sorry youre having a tough time with the sleeping.

Sydney peoples.. are we all available next week for a meet up?? If not the week after?

Ok Keiras starting to whinge and i need that coffee...

Kel - I'm sorry that you are having troubles with Jesse - could he be having nightmares or something? Does he have a night light in his room? We just put one in A's room because he was waking up whenever the toilet light wasn't on - and would just scream!!! So he hasn't been screaming (still wakes up crying) but not screaming so I think its helping...

Mez - it is difficult, especially if you are worried about how the house is looking!! I tell ya what, if you want to keep it a clean house - don't have another child.. pmsl..... it is sooo hard to keep the place looking presentable with a destructive toddler on the loose - this is why I never invite people to my house cos it looks like a train wreck most of the time!!!!!! Do you have a sling that you can put Izzy in while doing some housework? Might help her sleep - or pop her in the pram and both go for a walk - if she's screaming its less loud outside than inside - just bounces off the walls and drives me crazy... (and wait till you have TWO screaming at you at the same time - now THAT'S fun.. LOL) Huge {hugs} for you babe... and get your DH to stay at home with her on the weekend, and you go out - do anything you want - by the time you get back he'll be saying, I so don't know how you can do this every day!!! My DH does that every sunday, watches both the kids and I go shopping - just groceries or whatever - but I'm gone for a good few hours so I get a break - and I get back to him pulling his hair out and screaming at DS usually ..pmsl...then he knows how bloody hard it is!!!!!!

Tan - sorry you guys are having a bit of a rough trot... me and Craig are fighting nearly every night - he is driving me insane with wanting to help (yes I have the opposite problem to everyone else!!) and i just want him to look after the kids most times so i can get in and do stuff because I'm much quicker than he is ... plus he usually wants to worry about feeding the dogs first before getting A his dinner - drives me nuts!!! I hope you guys work through it soon ...and Ash was unsettled?? I don't believe it.. lol... I p issed myself laughin at that text you sent me with her crying... absolutely cacked myself..

Jess - thats so funny what you do with Georgia - cos I do the same thing with A when he is chucking a tantie and I'm trying to distract him... LOL.....

Belle - i hope you enjoyed your scotch - that sounds like an awful day!!!! I favour malibu and soda water with a few pieces of lemon myself... but not for a while - on this diet again.. day three so far..

Sal - maybe she would like a hammock?? We have hired one - yes we haven't used it yet, bloody slack people - but I have heard its a good thing to get unsettled babies off to sleep - and for longer sleeps. Miss M usually cries when we put her in the bassinette - and yesterday she was so tired after our trip to the park she wouldn't stop screaming and i was patting her bum to try to get her off to sleep, Aricyn was outside screaming for me, and I said to her "well F*ck ya then" and walked off.. and she fell asleep.. pmsl... I think she just wanted her stupid old mother to leave her alone..

Tenny - we sorta were trying for a girl - we DTD on day 9 of my cycle, I O'd on day 14 and we were pregnant (of course we also DTD on day 16 - but must of already caught that little eggie!!) I was told to DTD every day from day 7 to day 11 of your cycle if you have a 14 day cycle and you will get a girl. Good luck!!!! I want a boy next time - so i'll be going after the 13th day of my cycle..

Well I've vacuumed the house this morning - yay for me - with A saying "again again" every time I turned the damn thing off.. lol.. he's making me do housework - oh no!!! He is happily watching the wiggles at the moment (yes, we've changed DVD about five times this morning - toy story, lilo & stitch, cars, then we watched abc kids for a while, now the wiggles are on... he did want brother bear on in between but I said NOOO.. not again!!)

Hmm.. well I suppose I should go get dressed!!! My mum is coming around today and I'm so very excited!!!!!! can't wait to see her!!!!! And I know how excited Aricyn is going to be.. ooh, gotta fly he is about to attack Miss M in the swing..!!!

Mel.. yeh he has a Mickey night light he "has" to have on to go to bed. We turn it off when we go to bed as it makes matters during the night so much worse. With his moaning i can go in and give him a dummy if he doesnt have one in and tuck him in and hes out again. When we left the night light on, he was standing up wide awake in his cot. Yeh ive thought he might be having the night terrors. But do they get those sort of things every night? Oh woo for the vacuming. Ive done the washing and tidied the house.. i cant be stuffed doing any thing else.. im too tired.
Have a nice time with your mum!

    Off with the fairies.

    Afternoon everyone.

Belle - What a rough day. I hope your'e doing ok today. I would be a nervous wreck if that was me too.

Mez - :hugs: I'm glad today has been a better day and DD slept so good last night. You're doing a wonderful job. I used to be calling my DP up all time to with DS1. He'd sometimes get all snappy and not understand that I just needed to talk. After explaining it for what seemed a thousand times over the years, he finally gets it, I think. I agree with everyone else, you should just go out and do something for you and let DH have DD on his own and then he'll get the picture. Have a great time at your mothers group!!

Kell - Thanks for the site and info. I decided I'm so getting right into and we're going to try our very best when the time comes. Good luck with Jesse's night waking up. No ideas to help sorry. Thanks about the grobags. I might just wait for winter next year. Hayden just kicks the blankets off, so in summer i'll be fine.

Mel - Have a great time with your mum. My DS1 used to be all like that with movies. Now days I reckon he'd watch dvds all day if he could, well only parts of the movie cause he gets sick of them and changes it to another movie. He's so movie obsessed. Good work with the vacuuming. My DP did it for me yesterday, which was suprising cause I really didn't think he would do it while I was out. I totally know what you mean about men talking ages to do the cleaning. It frustrates me when DP does that too. It's like I should have just done it all myself to get it over and down with (and done properly too. )

Jess - Sounds great. I went for a walk yesterday with the kiddies and my sister. We went to feed the ducks. DS1 was good for the start, but then turned into this little ratbag. It totally ruined the rest of the nice walk. I'm not sure if I'm game to take DS1 again today. I might just leave him with DP.

Little mister is grumpy today. It's like he's good while he sleeps, then he's whingin' at me when he's awake, or smiling while I want him to drink his bottle and thinks it's funny.
    He's going off again now...

    I'll be back later.

    xx
