mel- Im not that organised at all. i have to do everything at night. im cooking the cakes tonight and i will decorate tomorrow while isaac is at day care. If you could see my washing pile you wouldn't think im organised.

The 2nd cake is in the oven now (its a layer cake)

Anastasia- i found heaps of woman like that. sometimes it makes you feel like its a massive competition. who walks first, who sits first, toilet training, big bed and so on. and you know even if you didn't do tummy time they would still grow up perfectly normal. and oh so cute.

we started play group today: it was raining and we kept trying to keep them inside but after a while the kiddies won and they had a ball jumping in puddles and running around. i have tried a couple of groups and have not been too happy but this one seems good.

thank you for all the thoughts ree mum. she is doing much better. it will be a long recovery. I think i will take her my cake tomorrow.

had the kiddies weighed last week (after their needles) caleb is 6.6kg and Sebi is 5.8kg. they are such little fellas. their was a baby at play group who is 8 weeks older and he is a giant compared to my boys. but im not worried Dh is tallish so they will catch up.

found out my GF is getting married on fraiser island in early 2010 so we have about 18 months to save and we will fly up and have a nice holiday. hopefully it will be whale watching season. what a good excuse for a holiday.

better run 2nd cake is almost ready

    Morningggggggggggggg.

Ehh its too dark to be awake.. grrrr at my son. Though it is just 7am now.

Kristy.. i think youll find compared to the babies in this group, your boys are pretty much spot on. Remember they are premi so that 8 weeks older baby would really be more like 13 weeks older and not to mension were born twins. And they arent that little i dont think. I seriously wouldnt be concerned as you know they are putting on weight and are doing it pretty well. i had a look at the catalogue that came on mustve been like midnight or something and theres no Wii cheap in there grrrr. So nothing i really want. We have everything for Jesse for Christmas just want something for Keira.. but they do have 30% off fisher price so i might be able to get her something. No idea what.. no rush though.. i have to wait until i get paid next week.

Tasia.. Keira's head still wobbles and can bang my shoulder sometimes. Dont listen to your friend. I hate when people say oh they should be doing this buy now and compare their kids to yours. Every baby is different for gawd sake! And usually also girls are faster learners than boys. Just dont listen to her nasty remarks and just say well he will do it when hes ready.. because he will. And you are doing absolutely NOTHING wrong! I didnt even do tummy time for Jesse because he hated it. And he did everything at the same rate he was suppose to. Keira.. well shes lucky if shes on her tummy for 5minutes a week. Shes ok with it for 5 minutes but doesnt over like it either so im not going to push it.. esp when i know Jesse worked out fine without me doing it. He just needs to build up those muscles himself.. nothing you can program hun.. he will get there trust me.

Mel.. did you get an appointment for him? I hope he wakes up better today.

Ok i can hear Keira talking in her room.. so gonna go get her up, feed her and crash on the lounge...
    Have a lovely day..

Kel - that's good I thought the sale finished today not started today and I missed out - baby brain!
Kristy I second what Mel said - I think you are a super mum!
And Tasia don't worry about it, they all develop at their own pace, just enjoy it. If your friend is so competitive she obviously has *issues*
Well, I have been trying to deny it but I think Beth is teething. I can see the teeth under her gums. It's too soon!
Anyway, got to run, too much to do today! Wave to everyone, BBL I hope!

    Morning all

Wrote this in my blog so just copied it to here.

Well Spoke to my sister Last night and and her DH is having his op of all days on Monday the day of the funeral. As she said that was the only time he could fit him in so they had to take it as he needs to have it done quick and start cemo. I asked donna did he have any idea what it could be and he said no he will have to wait till he is in there. So the op for BIL bowl is Monday, along with the funeral. My BIL told my sister she has to go to the furnerl for Nadene (to say farwel) and to be there for her family. Im going to go too but As I told Donna I wont sit with her as I didnt want to upset her more as Im hopeless at funerals. I didnt want to be crying cause I saw Nadenes kids cry and make Donna more upset then she needs to be. She is also saying some words at the funeral.

So after Monday, We should find out on Wednesday what is up with BIL bowls, then if all ok he will start cemo on thursday. Donna said she isnt looking forward to it. I think seeing Nadene go through it she is worried she wont be able to handle watching her DH go through all the sickness that comes with cemo.

I just take my hat off to donna as I couldnt do it. God forbid something happen that bad in this family.

Have to clean up then go to the shops. BBL for some personls.

Anastasia - sorry if I sounded harsh - I just hate people making other people feel like their kids are less than perfect ya know? All kids develop differently - even siblings - so there is no use comparing.

Kristy - I still think you are very organised!!!!!! And both your bubs are bigger than Miss M

Kel - I took him the doc yesterday, they couldn't find anything wrong with him so just told me to keep him on panadol and nurofen to keep the fever down. He woke up a few times last night crying and that so he is being kept home again today (much to my dismay - I have so much to get organised before going to work on Monday and I wanted today with just one kid!!)

Ahh well at least mum is coming over to help.

Pixie - I replied in our August thread bout the teeth

Better go - someone is whinging!!!! (Actually not DS - Miss M - must need more sleep)

Kristy there is an Early Childhood Centre in Balmain on Darling St - they have drop-in on Tuesday mornings. Other times you have to make an appointment and they are pretty overstretched at the moment cause there has been a bit of a baby boom round here
But if you know what suburb she is in, let me know because I have a list of all the phone numbers here for all the centres in the area.
    Mel - Thanks! I think!

    Good mrning ladies

Mel- No sweety ur weren't being harsh, I agree with wat u said. I agree kids do develop differently.

Pixie= my friend does have issues in her own different way lol.

Kel- Why do they have to be so competitive for really. I know my son will suopport his own head properly it will take just time or he will improve in his own time.

Kristy- I'm not the competitive type of person so I really don't give a flying **** wat people say. I just love being with my son & interacting with him.

Morning lovely mummy's, babies & daddy

Kristy - I'm sure that your mum will enjoy you cooking for her today it's always nice when you can do something nice for them when they aren't feeling the best. Wow two cakes you are good I struggled to make choc chip cookies the other weekend end. Yes I had some time to myself Isabel's grandparents looked after her one morning so that I could go out to brunch with my BIL & SIL.

Kell - How are you hun, I can't believe that K-mart were like that I hope they have uploaded it on their website now! How is your little man?

Mel - How is your little man feeling today?? LOL at our little ones planting their heads down on the floor but it's so true I think I'm going to be in trouble cause I started to walk at 9 months as did my hubby

Tasia - I wouldn't worry about what anyone says about the development of your baby they all grow at different rates like everyone else has suggest.

Melbourne girls , Tannis and SW when and where are we meeting up on Monday???

Kristy - Don't forget to take pictures of the cake. I bet your mum will love it. I hope she's going ok. Oh wow about your friends wedding and that'll be great as a family holiday too!

Pixie - I hope Beth goes ok with teething. Haydies cheeks have been so pink the last few days + extra dribbling, so I don't know if it's teeth or what.

Mel - So is DS's high temps just from teeth? I hope today is a better day... and I don't think you're a cow.

Missy - What a day monday will be for you all.

Tasia - I don't get why people have to comment like that either. As everyone has said all babies do things differently. He's going great. He looks like a happy little chappy too. You're doing a fantastic job!!! I have friends who don't even have kids but try and brag about other peoples kids to me. I makes me think that by putting my family down, it makes themselves feel better or fill the void they may have in their lives. I'm not even a bragger myself. I'm bias, just like every parent, and think my kiddies are wonderful but I don't rub it in peoples faces so I really don't understand why these friends of mine say stuff.

Kell - I hope Jesse feels better soon.

I finally bought a slow cooker yesterday. DP has been harassing me to get one for ages.
Do any of you have any great and easy recipes for me???
    Pretty please.

Haydie is slowly waking up now. He's been asleep all morning. It's been really quiet here and peaceful. I got to relax, read a magazine and watch crappy shows on tv without being interrupted. Ahh, it was so good.

    xoxo.

Tenny - your standard spaghetti bol for the slow cooker!! =) Make up the sauce quickly in the morning and leave it simmering all day in the slow cooker - magic. You can also cook roasts in them, and the meat goes sooooo soft that it just falls apart.

I'll see if I can find my fave recipe book that we often use with our slow cooker - but it might already be packed!!

I'd be pushing Bear and Pixie for recipes - they're the gourmet chefs of this group =)

And grats on the easy morning Love it!

Pixie.. oh i hope for you shes not teething! lol. Though they can sit under the gums for a while (they look like white skin parts.. actually i just looked at Keira and she has the same. But yeh hopefully its not really for another few months that they poke through.. thats when all the fun starts!

Missy.. big hugs for you and your sister and BIL. I hope the op goes well and they find nothing. Just be there for her and she will get through it.. as will he.

Mel.. hmm that is just weird. Maybe he does just have teeth coming through and theyre being little bastards! Poor thing. Hows he going today. Hope it passes for you soon.

Tasia.. oh i know. My SIL is the same. Trying to push my niece into gymnastics and swimming and she made sure everyone knew when her DD walked and crawled (they were trying to get her to walk at 5 months old!).. shes even taking her to see the wiggles.. and shes not even 1 yet! I guess im just not like that. I let Jesse learn to do everything on his own.. from rolling over to crawling to walking. I didnt really teach him anything and he just did it when he was suppose to.. must be an instinct thing ya know. In Jesse's BB's.. most of them are all toilet trained. Im not even bothering with him because i know he isnt ready and pushing something like that when theyre not ready will just prolong the task. Theres nothing wrong with him not being able to yet.. hes bright enough in every aspect.. hes just not ready. Its the same with any of their milestones.. theyll do it when they are physically and mentally ready. So yeh just take those competitive types with a grain of salt hun. By the time theyre all 5 years old you wont be able to tell the difference.

Mez.. how you doing? Settling back in? How has Izzy gone with the Jetlag? Jesse's seems ok. He seems to have a good day then a bad day with this flu. Horrible things they are. Hopefully he will be better by swimming on saturday so we dont miss another week.

Tenny.. oooow re the slow cooker. We dont have one so im of no help but FIL has and loves his.

Ok gotta go.. still getting stupid a$$ trojan pop ups! grrrrrrrrrrr

I'd be pushing Bear and Pixie for recipes - they're the gourmet chefs of this group =)
LOL - I would say something, but I got in trouble for hawking the Bear's recipe services on BB the other day!
Tenny I think there is a whole section on slow cookers in the Recipes and cooking area? And thank for the comments on my FB photos!
    Wow kristy great cake!

Missy - sending you big hugs for your sis and your BIL, hope the operation is ok and they dont find anything, I do apologise for not saying anything until now, its very close to my heart as my dad passed away of liver and bowel cancer 12 years ago today so reading you post I feel the anguish that you and your family are going through.

Hello to everyone will be back in the morning to catchup with you all.

    Just a quick one..

SW - Oh yeah! I never even though about a spaghetti bol sauce. Ta for the idea.

Pixie - Your photos are great. I really can see you in Beth in alot of your pics. She's such a cutie pie! I didn't even think to look in the recipe section. I don't even think I've been in that area before.. ooops. Thanks.

Kristy - Your cake looks fantastic! MmM. I could go a piece of it right about now, I think. I hope your mum loves it and is getting better.

Belle - and do you know if you got the house yet?

Bit of issues with DS1 not listening and stuff at preschool today, so I'm a bit upset at that and don't know what to do.
I posted in the parenting section earlier for some ideas and help.

Hayden has been real whingey tonight like wanting me in his sight the whole time and cracks it when he can't see me, so I couldn't even go to the toilet. Lucky DP came home a little earlier so I could go. Hahahaha!! Haydie is so different to Elijah.

Geeeeeeez. DP turned the tv on so I've prob missed the start of RPA!
    Nightynight everyone.

    <3 all round.
