Oh Kell :hug: I'm sorry you had a big fight with your mum....Sounds like SIL is a bit of a favourite! I would be SOOO angry! I hope you talk before xmas though and I hope the plans get changed to include Jesse and Keira. The way I see it 1 nephew misses out for a couple of hours while he is at a party, then comes home and gets his presents the same day or Jesse AND Keira miss out and don't get anything until next year.

Ok im back. Had some deep breaths and a few tears on DH's and a friends shoulders and im actually really happy i said what i said.

Tan - I hope Jayden is better. Elijah makes things up alot of the time so It's really hard to actually know if he's faking it or it's actually real so I would have done the same thing as you did.

We saw the greatest Christmas lights just before. My brother came to take Elijah to go see them, so I went too. Hehe. They were awesomeeeee!!!

Decided to give Bubbablue some apple puree today instead of the farex since it didn't seem like he actually enjoyed it. He absolutely loved the apple puree!!!!
I'm not sure if I'll mix it with some farex just to use some more of it or just stick with the apple. Lol.

Well I have just finished dinner! Jayden's temp went up again so Chris had a cool shower with him, he put the baby bath in there just for something different and Jayden thought it was great having that in there to play in, he felt good after that but it went up again.
When is a temp too high and should go to the hospital? His temp at its highest was 39.1, I gave him some Dymadon and it has slowly come down (over 2hrs) to 37.8 although he still feels super hot! I'm about to go check him again, poor boy, he kept saying how cold he was but he was sooo hot! Its been a while since he's had a temp like this.

Thanks for the comments of Ashlea's pics, she absolutely loves the water, can't wait to get her in again...tomorrow if Jayden is better.

Im going back to the same shops i got them from on Monday if you want me to grab some and express post them for you for Ash to go with her Christmas dress. Let me know hun. Aw poor Jayden. I think its either 39 or 40 you go to hospital, but only if the panadol or nurophen wont bring it down.

I thought it was around 39/40 too. I didn't take him as he was still in fairly good spirits and his temp did come down ever so slowly but its up again this morning. I have been up all night between Ashlea and Jayden, luckily with Jayden I fell asleep for a little bit but within an hour Ashlea was crying so I'd feed her put her back to sleep and Jayden would be up. At 12.30am he said he wanted to do poo so I put him on the toilet and he did a couple of fluffs and said "My bottom feels better now mummy" Couldn't help but laugh haha.

Well i just rang the 24 hr maternal line, asking wat I can do cause Jonathan keeps waking everynight between 2-4am. so she suggest that I should give him his last bottle at 8pm instead of 12am. So I will try that. Does anyone wake up their bubbas during the day for feed? Also wat time do u ladies give ur bubbas their last feed?

I don't usually take the kids to hospital - usually docs if the temp is consistently above 38.5 - like, you give panadol, brings it down, then it shoots back up - then I'll go to the docs first to see if anything obvious is wrong - ie, ear infection! - and then see how they go.

Is he any better? He's just trying to get sick cos he knows we're coming to visit ;)

Anastasia - we wake Miss M at 10pm for her last feed and she'll wake up around 4am for a chat, then puts herself back to sleep till around 6/6.30.

Anastasia - thats fair enough - we never used to wake her either - but now that she is taking longer between feeds -she doesn't get all her bottles in for the day - so if we don't wake her -she goes down to 4 bottles for the day - and I don't think thats enough for her.. she'll start dropping weight cos she already is a small gainer.

Mel- Yeah that's cool. The last thing u want his for her to loose weight. She's is so gorgeous :)

Tasia: I give Ashlea dream feeds during the day sometimes, like today she refused to feed so I put her to sleep then fed her. Plus I dream feed at night too and her last one is usually between 10.30pm-1am depending on how late I stay up.

Missy: Thanks....I think so but I have to say that LOL. PMSL, Chris asked me if I knew who it would be and I said yeah it would be you but not sure how you were on his msn, he got cut off or had to go cause he was at work or something....he wasn't worried, just didn't know who you were. I didn't see the news, but doesn't surprise me....they are always changing "the rules".

Mel: Yeah I thought in the end it would be pointless taking him up, we'd get seen pretty much straight away but what would they do that I couldn't do myself at home??

Jayden's temp was better today but still above normal, also kept saying his mouth hurt so I assumed a sore throat and he wouldn't eat. I asked if he wanted to see the Dr and he said yes but I left it then he asked later if we can go see the Dr so I booked him in. In the waiting room he kept saying ...See Dr now, its my turn....Come on mum see Dr now! In the end diagnoses is hand foot and mouth! One of the day care kids had it earlier in the week but Jayden doesn't go on the same days as her but we did see her at the xmas party on Sunday, hopefully he will be right by xmas day. No treatment other than Dymadon and Nurofen for the fever.
I have expressed a grand total of 60ml for Ash for tomorrow night :( How much are babies drinking now? I'm hoping to get 2 x 150ml but will that be enough? I'll be gone from 5pm until probably midnight so I'm thinking 2 bottles but just not sure how much, I'll be on a boat most if the night so not like I can leave early or sneak out. They decided not to make it a day thing as well thank god!!

OH and I am so excited cause...............

Tasia.. during the day yes.. if Keiras sleeping too far into her next bottle feed i will wake her for it. But usually her feeds are, give or take, 7am, 11am, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm. The last one is more of a dream feed as shes usually always asleep from about 7.30pm. Once she starts solids i will cut out a bottle and make her last one around 8pm.

Pixie.. hope you had a good mums group christmas party. OH! I had a dream the night before last that you and i met up for coffee and Beth was crawling on like all 4's.. like standing on her feet but also using her hands. And then she stood up and started walking! We were both shocked at her doing it at 4 months old :lol: That was it.

Had a nice day with Kristy yesterday. Bought all of Jesse's clothes and a new pair of shoes for pre-school. Kmart have 40% off all clothes and shoes until Sunday!! Bargins!!
Last day of swimming before Christmas today.
Then we're off to get DH's Christmas present which is a new monitor for his computer and a new booster seat for Jesse so that Keira can go from the capsule into his car seat.

Good morning ladies & Bear :)

Well we had a wierd night last night. I gave Jonathan his last bottle at 8.00pm, then I put him in his cot he fell asleep straight away, but decided to get up at 12.11am. So I got up & gave him his bottle, went back to sleep again. He then woke up at 2.00am, I got him up cuddled him, changed his nappy, put bonjela on him, & he was still crying I went back to mu room in bed he was still crying, I then got up put his dummy back in his mouth, he then fell asleep after a few min talking to himself. He then got up at 6.30am. Hubby suggested that i should give him his last bottle at 11am. But after he has his 8.00pm bottle he falls asleep half an hour later & i really don't want to wake him up.

Pixie- What do u mean has he always woken at that time? Which time would that be?
I hope Beth gets better soon :) The bubbas look gorgeous. Glad u had a great time at the MG xmas party. Have a great day 2d as well meeting all the dads :)

Yeah its the 2nd. We get to HB on the 1st - then we'll leave on the morning of the 2nd - check in isn't until 2pm - so don't know exact plans for the day - but we have booked accommodation so we are definitely coming. So dunno if you want to do something on the friday night - or saturday - or both? :p

Oh - and Miss m is drinking about 150mls - 200mls now - but has been off her bottles lately so has only been drinking 100mls at most.

Elijah was a little ratbag yesterday afternoon. It got worse when my mum and sister came around. I really don't know what's going on with him and his awful attitude. Today seems to be starting better then yesterday but I still see that gross attitude coming through in his comments.

Missy - No, I didn't hear or see anything about it. That's interesting. Did you mum say anything about why they're recommending that now?

Haydie is drinking usually 200ml. Sometimes 210ml/220ml. He's a porky so :P

My poor Bubbablue is sleep asleep now cause he had such a rough night last night.
He's got a really running nose and stuff. It seems different then a cold so could it be related to teething???
I did search online and read something about it, but I don't know. Elijah was such a good teether we didn't have anything like this going on.

A little bit of a vent here I guess..

I'm so sick and tired of my own grandmother thinking she can just make these mean uncalled for comments here and there. They're comments that are to do with me as a mother and my boys. It doesn't help the fact that I feel like I'll never be 'good' enough as a mother in her eyes to raise children. (I've talked to my mum about it and she was treated practically the same by my grandmother when I was little.)
So I was with my twin sister and we picked up Elijah and went to Nan's place so Alana could say goodbye, merry christmas and stuff to her as she's going overseas for 6wks.
We get there and she's like "Where's the baby?" I'm like "He's at home with DP." then she goes "How cruel!" in this mean voice. Like I'm the worst mother ever. I was proud of myself for snapping back with "He's not very well!"
It didn't help that she had someone there visiting her at the same time, so it made me feel even worse and degraded in front of them.

I know I shouldn't let it get me down but come on after a while it just wears me down and I'm trying harder to be a stronger person but it's really hard work.
So basically...
I can't even leave the house without both my kids now?
I can't even leave my child(ren) with their FATHER?

Why does she treat me like this?? What the hell have I ever done??

Tenny.. :hug: honey.. usually people like that had issues within themselves and they just take it out on everyone else and make them feel bad. By the sounds of it your grandmother is very selfish. Im sorry shes making you feel that way. And honey please dont ever think you are a bad mother, no matter what the old bat says to you.. because thats just utter BS. You are such a wonderful mother to your boys. Even though they can be trying at times, you are doing such a great job in raising them. They are absolutely gorgeous, just like their mummy. Just always remember you are better than what your grandmother thinks.. you know it.. we all know it.. shes the only one living in a glim world :hug: Yep, Best & Less are great for babies shoes! Well we had a busy day!
Swimming this morning. Then went out to babies galore to get Jesse his booster seat. Came out and car wouldnt start. Called NRMA they came out.. luckily only took 20 minutes as had both kids in the car with us. Battery was dead. So drove it to a place where FIL knows the guys and they replaced it and gave us a good deal. Then went back over and bought DH his christmas present (new monitor for his computer).. came home had lunch. Then i left DH at home with the kids while i went out and got a harness for Jesse's booster seat (Babies galore didnt have any!!).. so went and picked that up and also Keira a new play gym as her's snapped (was a hand me down).. came back, got Jesse fed and showered and in bed. Keiras asleep. DH is out at Poker night with the guys from work. Im watching the Carols on telly. Ehhh Delta Goorum ruined my favourite carol O Holy Night! Ehh shes so yesterday lol. And now Brian gayboy Mcfaddion is singing my John Lennon song! (dont like him at all!!). So yeh not impressed! lol. Ooow Shannon Nolls coming up.. hes VERY nice on the eyes! :D

Yep I'm up early got up at 5am yes early first time ever. That's with Jonathan of course. Gave him his bottle at 8pm put him in his cot, fell asleep at 9.30pm. He decided to wake up at 12.30am. I did everything like cuddle, change his nappy, put bonjela on him none of them worked so i gave him his bottle. He then fell asleep. He then got up at 4.40am, again tried everything but no, he wanted to get out of his bed. He just fell asleep now in his bouncer. Tonight, i'm going to give him his bottle at 10pm & see how that goes, damn why does this baby keep waking up during the night? Oh i'll tell ya wat, whenever i have another baby, i won't be waking him/her at night for feed if he/she is asleep after his/her last bottle. Yeah, no.

Kel- Jonathan is having 5 bottles 180mls, & his last one i'm giving him 200mls, he doesn't drink it all though. sorry to hear that ur car broke down, but glad u got fixed afterwards. It is great when someone knows someone & they give u great deals. Yaaay on Jesse's booster seat & Kirea's play gym :)

Tenny- I'm with kel. Don't worry about her i know it's hard. You are a wonderful mother & don't let anyone tell u that ur not. U raise ur kids however u want. If u want to leave ur kids with ur hubby that's ur decision to make not ur grandmother, tell her to mind her own buisness, tell her that she has raised her child/children, & that it's ur turn to raise ur children. Big hugs sweety.

Kell yes you had a very busy day. Well Callum has just been throwing up every now and then. He is ok just all of a sudden he will be sick. but really didnt want to tell you with you feeling the way you are ATM hun. yesterday he was abit sleeping and really didnt do much just laid on the loung. But FIL was driving him to swimming and then he was sick in the car. It just comes and go.


Anastasia morning hun I know you said he doesnt drink much but maybe try increasing his bottles(he will take it all in time) then he might sleep. Also try dummy, cuddles then put him back nice and tight in his bed. I find Liam loves being wrapped lightly then tucked nice and tight in his bed. He always has his arms out the top. Do you have a night ligth with music or some thing like that. Liam falls asleep to his xmas tights around his cot and music playing. His xmas light go by batteries so its nice and safe. Little teddy bears. I hope he will sleep through soon. He is just use to his bottles at night. Keep at it hun. Is he having solids 3 times a day??

Missy.. lordy, i think im feeling a bit hung over reading that colour! lol. Aww poor Callum. Reading it doesnt effect me to much.. just more hearing Jesse or Keira cough or moan the wrong way, sends me into a panic. I wonder if Callum is illergic to something hes eaten? Being its happening every now and then. Hope hes feeling better soon.

Tasia.. oh you poor thing. Hope you can get him into some sort of routine soon. It may take a few nights though do remember. But once you find something stick to it and hopefully he will start sleeping through. Have you tried just giving him cooled boiled water when he wakes of a night rather than the bottle? Maybe hes waking thirsty?

Just went up to the shops.. againn.. to grab a few last minute things. Seeing a gf tomorrow so had to buy Jesse's mate a present.
Lazy day today then going to IL's for dinner. We're going to go Christmas light looking tonight which should be fun. Jesse's going to love it.

DS did a wee in the potty today - I was sooo proud!!!!!! Wasn't so proud when he then began playing with the wee - but the main thing is he knew what to do on the potty and held it in whilst running from one end of my brothers place to the other where the potty was saying, "run.. mummy hurry... hurry"... was quite funny...

DD has been quite unsettled and has a bit of a temp. I think DH is taking her to the docs tomorrow - he is on holidays now - I've still got a couple of days left of work.

Anyhoo - best be off getting stuff ready for tomorra!!!

Well hubby & i went to Ikea to look for pull out bed. We want some, but hubby wasn't too sure about measurements. we r going back before he's off to Vietnam.

Kel- hey sweety. yeah i have tried giving him cooled boil water, he's not interested.

Missy- hey sweety, yes he does have dummy i do give it to him. I stopped wrapping him when he was 3 months old. I rather not go back into wrapping him up again only because he hates it, he keeps fighting it & we r getting warmer days sometimes, i know there are light blankets, but i prefer not to. Jonathan is having 2 solids a day, he's having brekky in the morning & as of 2m i will start him on potatoes. I was thinking of contiuing giving him puree apple in the arvo??

Anastasia - maybe he's waking up a few hours after a bottle because of a bit of wind? Do you burp him after you feed him at night?
And I wouldn't be too concerned about him still waking at night for a bottle - its not uncommon to have a baby still waking up during the night at a year old for a feed - I know DS was still waking at around 4am till about 6 or 7 months or something - and that was with a feed at 10pm as well. Maybe he just needs the stuff in his belly yeah? I've always gone by the thought that if they wake up for the bottle, they must need it, and they'll drop it when they are ready, not when you want them too.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it sounds like you are trying everything to change his sleeping habits - and maybe its not his sleeping habits - but what he needs to eat that is more important.

Not every baby sleeps through and drops feeds early.

Mel- Yeah i do burp him after every bottle feed. Nah man ur not being harsh, i think i am changing his sleeping habits, i will stop. As for him waking up in the middle of the night for feed i will give it to him, if he's hungry, he's hungry.

That's the point I was trying to make - if he's hungry - just feed him. Don't worry about setting up bad habits, or anything like that - he's a baby - he's just hungry. You don't know if he's going through a growth spurt or anything like that, and I don't know about you - but I'd feel awfully guilty if I tried for a couple of hours trying to get a baby to settle - and it turned out my child was hungry and just needed a bottle!!!

The bottle is always the first thing I try when my babies wake up - cos if its hunger - its easily solved. Those nights where nothing seems to be the problem - and they reject the bottle - then its time to bring out the big guns !!! ;)
