    Happy 6 months jonathan!!!

Mez - I thought for sure DS was going to be an early crawler - was up on all 4's and rocking at 5 months - I got so excited!!! But he decided to keep us in suspense until 1 week off 9 months - then he started!!! I hope Izzy is MUCH nicer to you!!!!

Think Miss M is enjoying the soy formula much better.... she is beginning to go through the horrid teething though me thinks - always has her fingers in her mouth!! DS has one of his 2 yr old molars ready to break through too..

Feeb- Don't count on it sweety, cause i certainly won't.

Mel- thanx sweety I'm glad ur dd is liking soy formula. I know wat u mean about fingers in mouth, Jonathan is doing exact same thing. And it's making me sad, come on teeth get out already hehehe. The other day he his cheeks were really red, so hopefully that was a sign as well. Awwwwww poor bubba that ur ds molar coming through.

Mel - Hopefully she want be teasing us lol. I think it will happen soon cause both my Hubby and I walked at 9 months old but if not I don't mind it just means that I can enjoy her more and not have to run around after her

Tasia - I hope you get a better sleep in your own bed tonight. When does your DH come home??

I'm excited this morning we booked a trip to NZ in July for the weekend for $99 one way!! Now that is cheap for an OS trip.

    Hey everyone.

First off I want to wish...
Happy birthday to your gorgeous little man, Mel.
I hope he had a fantastic birthday. They grow up too fastttttt. I'm sorry I'm a day late.

    Happy 6months handsome little Jonathan!

We went to the MCHN on friday. Unlucky for us the nice one wasn't there.
We got him weighed and measured and all that jazz.
    Our chubba Bubbablue is now...
    Weight - 9.1kgs.
    Length - 70cm.
    HC - 44.5cm.
She did it that fast both DP and I think she wasn't as accurate as she could have been with them. Since DP is a big, tall man our boys have always been in the higher percentiles. He's just following the same percentiles as he has been so it's not as if he's made a huge jump or anything, you know. It's all good and he's happy and healthy.
He's actually around the same as what Elijah was when he was a baby, just a little less.

She was very rude and made both DP and I feel like we shouldn't go there just to get him weighed and checked, etc since we don't have any other problems.
I'm glad I'm not a first time mum going to see her and to be treated like that. It's ridiculous. I can't believe her attitude. It just makes me mad just thinking she's treating people like that.

    End of my little whinge.
I'm sorry I'm not up with what's going on with all you ladies and your babies and family stuff. I hope everything has been going great and teething isn't going too bad.

We started sweet potato the other night. Loves it!
Today he actually had decent amounts of food, twice.

    xx

    HAPPY 6MTHS JONATHAN!!!

    Mel: How was A's bday?

Kell: Hope you had fun at The Wiggles Playcentre, sounds like fun!

Tas: Thanks Hun, nah I won't get one Ash is so close to sitting now. I had her sitting for a couple of minutes unaided today so not really worth it now. Poor Jonathan, he obviously just likes being in his cot! I'm trying to get Ashlea to sleep in her cot but she likes the bassinette too much (least I got my monies worth out of it )

    Hi Elle, how you been?

Mez: How is Jess & Georgia going? OMG what cheap flights!! OMG @ Izzy almost crawling!! They grow up way too fast. I loved it when Jayden could crawl (not until about 8mths old) as then he could go where he wanted and was happy with the independance.

Mel: YAY for success with the soy! Poor M with her teeth though, Ashlea is getting really cranky with her teeth I think. I hope A's 2yr old molars come through quicker than J's! He still has 2 to go!

Pix: Big for you! Ash has turned into a non sleeper lately, I think its a combination of teething and growth spurt, more teeth ATM though. Hope Beth settles for you soon. I gave Ash bonjella and Dymadon this arve and she fell asleep for a little while, not long as we were out and it was noisy.

Tenny: OMG Hayden is doing great!!! Pfft to that CHN! I only go in to get Ash weighed, I rarely have questions or concerns etc, thats what they are there for....to get a check up!

My angel baby is slowly dissapearing and some other clingy, whingy, cranky baby is taking her place! LOL its not too bad but some days its so exhausting! I had my niece's 6th bday today so I dressed A in a gorgeous dress she got for xmas with the plans to take some photo's but she was so clingy and cranky, I didn't end up taking any pics....I'll have to try again this week. Not much else going on with us.....I'm going to try and get to bed tonight before midnight! I have been so tired all day today and yesterday and tonight I'm feeling sick too (not enough water I think...Or the maccas I had for dinner LOL)

    Hi to everyone I missed!

SW - phew. thought you had the craps with me... hmmm... paranoid much? pmsl!!!!
You should know me better than that!! It takes a LOT to give me the ****es - OR a special kind of stupidity that you just don't possess...

I have to say WOW!! Most impressed. Shoulda sms'd that to you but been too lazy Between my semi-zombie-fied state, excitement over my crawling midget and baby-proofing the house, haven't done much of anything that I shoulda been doing!!!

Tasia - Happy 6 months to Jonathan!!! They REALLY are growing up so fast =)

Ayapi - sorry, just noticed your message re. the crawling. Yes - it is amazingly scary. She's been commando crawling for AGES, and has actually started properly crawling crawling. The first day she did it she could only go two or three "steps" before she collapsed in a heap. Now she gets 5 or 6, but drops that to only one if we ever whip out the video camera!! typical! She took a couple of days off to practice her squeal instead, but was back to crawling earlier today. She was chasing hubby around the room =))) Was hilarious. She'd go 5 steps, drop to the floor, look up at him and laugh, then do it again. In a way it is extremely cool, but part of me is also petrified of everything that she can get into now!! We have just spent the weekend baby proofing all the kitchen cupboards, have bought play pens and baby gates, and am considering installing a cat flap into the store room so that I can feed the cats out there and she can't get to the food. At the moment it is all behind the baby gate...

I hope Izzy starts crawling for you soon!! If she's on all fours and rocking, usually they'll start with their weight over the hips when resting between rocking. When her weight is more to the front then she's probably pretty close to crawling. It's such an exciting thing to watch them as they start to crawl!! But yeah, so scary. Alyssa is growing up too fast!!! It's not fair - she's not even 5 1/2 months old yet!!! Then again, it's soooo cool!!!! She can also push herself to a standing position IF she has a prop at the right height and angle - but again doesn't have the strength to maintain it for too long (so we have to be ready to catch her). She'll get there!!

Had a hard time getting her down to sleep tonight... Was very clingy, started crying every time I put her in her cot and started to walk off. Last night was her first night of good sleep since I went onto the antibiotics after my spider bite. While on the antibiotics she was awake every one or two hours - so hopefully her sleeping pattern will settle again quickly. Not sure why she's so suddenly clingy tonight - perhaps it is still related to the drugs. Apparently some antibiotics can give them an upset tummy... I guess there's another benefit to not breastfeeding

wow - this was a long post - haven't updated much on Alyssa's progress here in a while!

Anyways, should prolly go and try to get some sleep now that Alyssa is FINALLY sleeping!! We have mums group tomorrow - going another round seeing as the MACH nurses here thought it would be good - being a new arrival to the state and all Should be interesting - think Alyssa will be the old lady of the group!!!

    Morning all!!!!

SW - thats cool, I know you are busy - and yeah, looks great huh!!!! And woohoo for the crawling!!! We didn't baby proof the house too much, just put a lock on the cupboard under the sink in the laundry (chemicals within), a lock on the bathroom cupboard (medications within) and a gate across where the kitty litter is.. (ewww to imagine the possibilities!!)

The rest of the time we followed him around saying NOOOOOOO... NOOOOO... lol

Better go have breaky and get ready for work. I'll see the solicitor this morning - and see what she thinks about her chat with the boss after I left on Friday - I asked for no client contact.. pmsl... I just hate people - they crap me off too much with their stupidity.. lol

Hmmm.. maybe THIS is why me and SW get along..

Missy - have a great time away!!

Hey folks.... I'll try to be quick!
SW - yay for Alyssa crawling.... scary though.... the idea that they can get around on their own. Not quite there yet thankfully. Don't you hate it how they know when you've got the camera? DD pulls a poker face every time there is a camera around... Don't think I've got a single photo of her smiling!
Missy have a great time at your mum's
Mez go Izzy on the crawling too
Tan I hear you on the change in Ash.... Beth was like that for a couple of weeks after her shots.... seems better now except the sleeping part god I'm tired of battling with her at bedtime!
Tenny wow Haydie is getting big!
Tasia hope J goes well with his shots
Feeb maybe Jacob is feeling a little unwell? hope he starts eating again!
hmmm suppose I'd better go and do something useful while madam is entertaining herself.... big to Mel, Kel, sweetpea, and everyone else I've missed!

    Morning all..

Well not a good night for us.
Jesse was up every second hour crying. I think this stupid weather change is making him sick agaaaaaaain. He keeps saying his nose hurts. Gave him some panadol and that lasted about 3 hours or so, then we were up at 6am. Said we might as well come out and watch telly.. which hes happy enough now.. though i think the nose has started to run. Great being he starts day care this week! Am going back to the doctor today to get a script for my medication so might get her to just check him out and see what i can get incase tonights the same. I think the 2+ demazin you dont need a script for do you?

Ooow all these clingy babies! We have one here too. She s not too bad.. its just during the day if shes had enough in her rocker or on the floor shes carry on until shes picked up.

    Happy 6 Months Jonathan!
I cant belive its going so fast!

Tenny.. nice stats little Hayden! Yeh DH and me are both tall too so our kids i dont think, have a chance not to be tall. Thats ok though.. all girls like tall men! Especially us tall ones. Oh how rude. Gee. That place is there for everyone to use no matter whats wrong or not. Obviously she didnt want to be there.

Pixie.. i hope she settled for you. Was she crying or just wide awake? Yeh you can always offer some panadol/dymadon. Will help calm her down.

Sorry have to cut it short.. will catch up this arvo.

    Good morning ladies and Bear

This morning Jonathan is going for his 6 month immunisation. Then i'm going to visit people at my old work. Oh my left back side is killing me, i can barely turn on m left side to see.

Kel- I hope Jesse get better soon sweety. Yes sweety i can't believe it either they grow so fast. Thanx sweety.

Pixie- Thanx sweety, i hope he will be ok as well.

Missy- Enjoy ur time away sweety.

SW- I hope sw gets better for u soon sweety. Thanx, they do grown fast don't they.

Tannis- Thanx sweety. I hope Ash will soon be comftorble in her cot soon. That's great that she's almost sitting up

Oh this is wat i want to mention. Everytime i give Jonathan his bottle he does not want to drink it all and then he chucks a little milk out, not much though. Sometimes it will be food as well after drinking his milk. I do stop when i know he's not hungry. I've now giving him 250mls every 6 hrs, he's having farex say around 6.30/7am, then bottle at 10am, puree fruit at 1pm, bottle at 4pm, now i will be givin g him lunch at 6pm only because i have increased his milk, then last bottle at 10pm, wat am i doing wrong.
Any advice will be good, i will tell my health n urse 2m as Jonathan will be weighed and measured 2m.

well, this is as much as she'd give me with the camera out!! Everytime I whip out the cam she either stops crawling, or only goes one or two steps! she can now get halfway across the room if the cam isnt on!!

sorry for the dodgey quality - still sussing out how to import from the cam and keep the correct aspect ratio - windoze seems to break it!! Will try with linux =))

I almost wish she was more laid back!!

Whilst it is most cool to see her doing these things (and extremely cute!!), it's still scary as hell!! We really expected to have longer before this started, thus longer to prepare ourselves and the house for her getting to everything.

We have now gated the area where the cat food is - heading between the kitchen and the laundry, and also gated the bathroom (open plan three way bathroom, so can't just shut the door to the vanity area as there is no door), and we have magnetic locks on pretty much everything that isn't gated that can be opened from short person height. We have a four sided small-ish playpen in hubby's office, and have on order a big 6 sided one for the lounge area - just waiting for new stock to arrive. Don't think we've spent this much on baby stuff since we bought the cot and/or the pram!!
